has a really super time at this restaurant last night ! the staff are warm & welcoming - they have a large menu with something for everyone , the food was excellent, on nice warm plates & very reasonably priced , we were even offered a complimentary drink which was a lovely surprise! - going again next saturday night - we enjoyed it so much !

This restaurant is a hidden gem ! Really nice staff , always friendly, excellent service ....& really nice food & sensibly priced .... already booked again !

As from my last review from last month just want to say I would never use this place ever again , we had a terrible experience there are other places around to spend your well earned money .

Wow where do I start , we have eaten in this resturant many times, we decided to order a takeaway , everything seem to go well . My wife read back the order 3 times to make sure the items were right , we had to wait 1hrs and 20 mins which was not a problem , the food arrived as if these guys had got it out the freezer , we phoned the resturant to tell them the problem , only to be told to put the food in the microwave , if we wanted a microwave meal we could of got one from tesco . They finally offered a 10 per cent reduction off our next meal . Who ever is reading this my suggestion is to you is to avoid this place as the staff dont give a damm once they have your money

I have an egg allergy and the man who took our order on the phone was amazing! Couldn’t recommend more! Great food but the attention to detail was amazing. Really cared!

Extremely disappointed with the service this evening. Was advised 45 minutes for delivery! After an hour and 1/4 I phone to find out where our food was, to be told it would only be another 10 minutes! Another hour later (2 hours in total) it arrives... It then had to go in the oven to be heated through. We had a similar situation a couple of years ago but thought we would try again. I can safely say that will be the last! Never again!

We were lied to multiple times on the phone about how long the food will be and I ended up going to work on an empty stomach. I had to give up waiting at 19:30 after pre ordering at 16:15. The food from here isn't even worth the wait. Never ordering from here again.

We ordered a take away new years eve and agreed a time of delivery at 7pm may I say apart from the service and the food we ordered was fantastic . We will use this Indian again

Arrived at our booking time.. table wasn’t even ready.... when we were seated that was it we were just seated... no asking if we would like a drink or anything... 20 minutes later still no offer of any drinks... eventually someone came and asked if we’d like drinks and some poppadoms. An hour after we arrived we had to ask them to take our food order...( the amount of takeaway meals going out of the kitchen were constant).... so an hour and a half after arriving we get our starters.. which to be fair were very nice... by 9:25pm still no mains... when they did bring them out they were cold.. the service throughout the whole evening was non existent.. they were more interested in getting the takeaways out than the face to face customers in their restaurant... we offered to pay for our drinks and starters but they declined... but no hint of an apology for the diabolical service or wait fir food or anything.. there were only us and two other tables in the restaurant... so they weren’t even busy within the restaurant. It’s a real shame because the starters we did get were really nice... but we won’t be going back...

I have eaten in and had take aways from the Dhan Shiri for over 13 years. I’ve tried the rest, but this is the best. It does get busy at times, due to it’s popularity and so book ahead if you want takeaway on Fri/Sat nights - I normally leave myself 45 minutes. The worst I’ve had is 1hr 15mins but they were very busy in their sit-down restaurant. Anyway, always worth the wait in my opinion...A++

I’ve ordered 3 times now since lock down, and every time delivery has been 2+ hours, when I’ve rang to chase it up after an hour I’ve been told maximum 10 minutes. I must say the rice is perfectly cooked, food is piping hot. I’ve ordered the same dish 3 time’s and each time it’s tasted completely different, once was very spicy despite it being a buttermilk chicken (ordered this as I don’t like spices at all) so it’s now put me off from ordering from them again, who knows what flavour dish will turn up... and when? No offer of good will gesture upon complaint either.

Lovely, fresh, hot and flavoursome. Arrived early, and with a smile! We're sometimes disappointed with take away Indian as arrives luke warm, but not today. Would happily order again.

Pre ordered from Just Eat before they opened. Came on the dot. Lovely food, hot, fresh and tasty. Contact free delivery due to coronavirus. This was a birthday meal as self isolating. Will definitely be ordering again and may even go and dine in when pandemic over.

I love Dhan Shiri! Being from Brackley myself I have tried many. They are always providing a top service. Absolute gentleman they are! The new refurb is cool too, nice a moody with good use of LED coloured lights. Food is authentic and 5STAR delicious! Will always be back and can guarantee a good fast service!

Rubbish service. Used to be great . What’s happened . Tandoori mixed grill more like chicken madras . Flat coke and front of house man spoke or understood very little English . 20 min wait for a drink . Where has it all gone wrong . What happened to nice front of house that it used to be. Never again

Avoid unless you have hours and hours to spare, went as a family started of ok, until we found out the management team have changed. Very little English spoken, when food arrived for me who has food problems this is when it all went wrong, I made staff aware when ordering of my issues and was told no problem, but then as I said food came out and it was hot and spicy when it should of been a dry dish, told staff member who took my food away then brought back a plate of food and throw it on table at me. Very happy as food still not right. I left my so called meal in the end. Also coke/Pepsi flat after waiting 20 mins for drinks that never arrived. Not happy won’t be going back.

I have been enjoying Dhan Shiri for years. The owner and manger and chef have left. It shows! Nothing tastes fresh anymore. Chicken dry, like it has been previously cooked. Less spices. It’s so different. Bring back the other chef and Lynton. I need to find another Indian restaurant.

I have ordered a delivery from this restaurant and we are currently at the 2 hour mark. This is completely outrageous and I will not be ordering from here again. I have tried to call the restaurant 26 times but can’t get through. What a joke !

Nice food, but took over two hours to arrive. They clearly prioritise delivery as a tonne of food passed through the restaurant in paper bags

Table for 8 for a birthday. Upon arrival table was not ready, we were served poppadoms and after 20 minutes had to call the waiter over to ask for drinks. All diet cokes ordered all night we’re flat. We then called the waiter over after 30 minutes to order food. Waited 1 hour and a half before asking how long, we were told 5 minutes. 15 minutes later we complained and shortly after we were served. All in all we waited over 2 hours for food. The food was actually very good, 8/10. Service would be 1/10. They clearly prioritise takeaways over in house however plenty of people picking up takeaways were not happy with the wait time. Redeeemed themselves by offering an acceptable discount but will not be returning.

Love the Dhan shiri!! Best Indian in Brackley, the butter chicken is to die for and they even made my partners tikka masala madras hot! Customer service is exceptional! The biggest thanks to Liton for being the best host!! We will most certainly be back! We love the Dhan Shiri, thank you!!!

Its been several years since I last had a meal here, a good crowd of us had a good evening here, good service, good food. Very pleased

My numerous Indian friends think that London has some of the best Indian restaurants on the planet but when you leave London it's a different matter! Brackley is a far cry from London and so is this restaurant. On a recent visit I had enjoyed a very good chicken dansak but last night it was a very different experience not only was the food sub par but the manager was having a bad day no excuse in the hospitality industry.

After a long drive home and not in the mood to cook, we stopped for a curry, having visited the Dhan Shiri on many previous occasions I knew what to expect, another fantastic meal and experience with Linton and the team, thanks guys. Best curry house in Brackley.

We have never had a sub standard meal here and it stands out as one of our favourite places even after spending 2 months on the continent.

Always had a good opinion of this restaurant but love the revamp of the interior and the menu, food excellent this evening.

This was recommended by friends and we were not disappointed. There were even a few duck starters and main on the menu - quite unusual for this type of restaurant. They were delicious.

Dhan Shiri IS AMAZING to eat in, but their take aways are always luke warm/cold.

Have always enjoyed the food from Dhan Shari, however, unfortunately I have always had to ensure such a wait. The last wait was over 2 hours, and when calling, would tell us it was on route. Again today, early on a Tuesday evening, it’s coming close to 2 hours again. I don’t think I will be ordering from here again. Even though the food is good, it’s poor service.

Our first time here but absolutely gobsmacked, this restaurant sets some amazing standards and then take it further. By far the best Indian takeaway we’ve had for a very long time. We went for the mixed grill as recommended and were very pleased. Many thanks

Stumbled across this place on a short stay in Brackley, we were seated immediately. The food was good, with a great selection to suit many different tastes. The service was good, attentive without being overbearing and the waiter was more than happy to put my leftovers in a pot for me to take home as I wasn't able to eat it all. Overall a very good restaurant that I would definitely recommend.

Our car broke down and we limped into Brackley for a long wait for the RAC.

well where do I start chris and I came across this indian restaurant while we where staying at the crown inn for the british grand prix 2017 the staff where brilliant as we just walked in and it was busy but they found us a table and may I say I know my currys it was excellent cant fault it, know then as we came again this year with 3 other friends the manager remembered me from last year as he said I was the lady with the smile well they did us proud once again wish I lived nearer so I could go 1 a week as my body would not cope see you next year god willing

The Dhan Shiri donated a Sitdown meal for two people in a local charity auction which we won. The food was beautifully fresh the staff were friendly and helpful I will definitely be returning as this was my first visit, not my last

Food is always nice but add at least half hour to confirmed delivery time! Most recent order is still pending nearly 2 hours after placing order and 40 mins after confirmed delivery time...

We have recently moved to Brackley and really love our curries - we have tried most of them already, and all of them have been nice, bit this one has definitely been our favourite so far! Highly recommend the Kofta Special Handi !

More hit than miss but can sometimes take quite a while to deliver and if you want really hot curry then this may not be the place. I like spice but too much and the Bhuna and the Jalfrezi didn't touch the sides in terms of spice. Nice enough and cheap enough though so it's not like I wouldn't recommend.

Recommended this restaurant by the owner of a bed and breakfast landlady where we stayed in Marston St Lawrence while visiting Silverstone. Very good food at reasonable prices and the staff were all very friendly.

Ordered in the day time through Just Eat, simple ordering selected delivery time 8.30pm. Food arrived almost on the dot, pleasant gentleman bought the food in a nice bag, nice touch. Food arrived hot and on time.

Love this place, nice atmosphere,staff are amazing and friendly. The food always tastes fresh and is temperature hot, they will cook to your taste buds, if you ask.

Myself and my partner were visiting my son and daughter in law, and granddaughter when we decided to go for an Indian Sunday night . As always I ask trip advisor to find us an Indian restaurant , well we weren’t disappointed in this find . The menu was slightly different to your normal Indian with some interesting dishes . We had some lovely dishes throughout the evening . We shall definitely come here again . Best Indian in Brackley.

Never been to Brackley and we had 90 minutes for dinner whilst waiting for our daughter.

Ordered a takeaway as an end of term treat with family over. Ordered the takeaway online and it told us it would be ready 30 minutes later. We popped to Tesco to get dessert, but we ended up waiting for way over 30 minutes inside while our dessert melted, not getting our food for over an hour after the time it told us it would be ready. Often a wait for takeaway but never been this long before, and unfortunately all of our rice was only half full. The food was nice but we all would have eaten pretty much anything at that point.

Thank you Linton and the gang! You work tirelessly to deliver great food, great service and a great experience. We wouldn't go anywhere else!

The Dhan Shiri are top notch at what they do! They've just managed four charity curry events (each night filling their restaurant to capacity) with ease. The food produced was hot and tasty. The staff accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. Dietary requirements were addressed without any issues whatsoever. I would highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion, massive or an intimate table for two!

Last night my husband got a chicken jalfrezi from Dhaka Shiri, when I asked him if he liked it, his reply it’s the best I have ever had, will definitely be going g back.

I was in a large group that had the whole restaurant for breast cancer.it was a set menu with special food requests catered for. Tasty food come out and well managed for the group!if they can do this for a very large group then a party of six must be a doddle . Well done

Have been here many times and although you have to wait a bit longer for the food, it is because it is all made fresh. Really good food with kofta special handi and salmon ajwani tikka some of my favourites. Great staff and atmosphere. Make it your regular

Eat here regularly, very very tasty, friendly staff. Only downside is I have on a few occasions had a very long wait for food which I find frustrating. Better time for take aways though and to be honest the food is worth the wait.

We had a group dinner for about 25 people. The house speciality of marinated leg of lamb - a whole one for five people, which you carve yourselves - was absolutely stunning. Highly recommended.

It was our first time here and we were impressed with the service and the food was very good its very cozy and wasnt noisey like other indian resturants ideal place for a quiet meal with your love one . Will visit again soon . Mr jones

Actually 2 times losing a whole Saturday is enough. Never risking it again. I saw the vans unliloading trays from somewhere like Birmingham and won't risk their microwave again.

We called here on our way home having spent 8 weeks in Spain and getting fed up with eating out. It was a Tuesday night which meant you got any starter plus any main course and any vegetable side dish for £11.95. The service was a little sketchy at times as the restaurant was understandably busy,but we were in no rush and the food was superb.We forgot all about the fact thet we had been eating out for weeks and thoroughly enjoyed it all.

Visited last week with a large group. I think about 16 of us pre-ordered their Lamb speciality. WOW! what an absolute delight!

Have ordered from here a few times, last time it was late on delivery and had to call up to find that it was of course 10 minutes away.

Not been to this restaurant for some time.. the manager greeted us warmly and afford us a window table which was to our liking, the food was very good especially the korma which we agreed was excellent . The manager left the restaurant to deliver takeaways & left the waiter to take the lead...he took our order we asked question's about the dishes that we would like to try he was not interested ,we asked for jug of water to accompany our bottle wine ..took for ever.. no jug with ice we got a class of water . asked for the bill he never came back ..lucky the manager returned who had a problem with his card machine telling everyone cash only tonight ..I told him i have cash & paid up.

Popped in here last night (Thursday) hadn't bookeed but were shown a table straight away. There was a large group on the next table so it was popular venue. Having been disappointed at another couple of local Indian restaurants recently we were prepared to be disappointed ..............we weren't. The food was good except for an asparagus dish which we told them about and they promptly said sorry and took it of the bill. We would go again.

Met up after work with a friend for a curry. Easy to book and nice welcoming staff, even though we were a little late. We were given time to chat before our order was taken which was nice. Food was really good. Some new dishes I had not seen before. Left feeling very full. Price was very reasonable. Will be going back

We went out for a run of the mill ordinary Indian meal, but instead had a really great meal with a fabulous host and great service. It was so good we went back 3 days later.The tandoori salmon and chicken Ceylon were definitely 5 star.

The Dhan Shiri is nicely decorated, and the staff are friendly. The menu has lots of choice, and the descriptions are detailed, which is great for people who don't know what to choose in Indian restaurants!

Get lots of takeaways from here and food is always excellent. Staff really friendly and helpful. Offered free drinks when meal took quite a while when busy.

This is easily our favorite curry house. Excellent take away, even better eating in (the naan bread is even better eating in because it's straight from the kitchen). The dipping sauces are great, mint dip is one of the best around and the mango chutney is really nice with their addition of onion seeds in it too. Their bhajis are outstanding, their curries are great, butter chicken, achari and classic tikka masala are excellent. The dry dishes are also very nice, salmon, duck and the vegetable sides are all tasty. The waiter who served us was very friendly and helpful. Would recommend to anyone.

Visits this restaurant this week. The food was lovely really tasty, I had a fish Balti and the best naan bread I've tasted!Will definitely make the trip over to visit again.

This was a takeaway - vegetable samosa starter mostly sweetcorn !! ( tinned I think ) . Main course Chicken Jalfrezi - 80% sloppy onion and peppers and then some chicken - I have had spicier Kormas !! Total lack of any form of spicing and really quite revolting to eat - the side dish of Chana Massala was also totally lacking in any spiciness though just about edible. All in all a total disaster - cheap but most certainly not cheerful !!!! This was my first visit and will definitely be my last - avoid if you like a good curry !!!!!!

Me and my boyfriend are big Indian food lovers, this is his favorite Indian restaurant, my favorite Indian restaurant is literally right next door to it! We alternate between the two to keep it fair, and last night we went to the Dhan Shiri! The people in there know my boyfriend quite well and are always very friendly, I usually have a Bhuna, but went for the Butter Chicken this time, which was delicious! Slightly too saucy and not quite enough meat, but still lovely! Reasonable prices, good menu, nice atmosphere

The staff are friendly and we have frequented there for many years, food is fantastic and they will amend dishes to suit your personal taste buds, just ask.

Have eaten both in the restaurant and had take-always over the years and always delicious food with excellent service. This weekend they also very kindly donated some side dishes and breads to support an event we were hosting to raise funds for an Indian primary school in Kalimpong - which were once again delicious!

I go here a lot and have been going for 10 years. Staff are charming, food is excellent. I particularly recommend the chilli nan and tarka dhal. The Lamb is always tender. Numerous really tasty dishes. Decor is amusingly 90's, but who cares when the food is so good? Takeaway always good value too.

Whilst looking for somewhere to go for a post Christmas meal we decided to pop in. We came here before with friends around a year ago and were made to feel really welcome. Some fantastic dishes and variations on the menu it was lovely. The beers got topped up and replenished nice and frequently, food arrived piping hot and tasted fantastic. Will definitely recommend and come back again - just to try some of the other dishes.

Reliably good across a varied menu which is rare. Some excellent dishes also which are packed with flavour.Safe bet with any style of meat, fish or vegetarian option.Best take away still Faz's though.

Food over priced and very rude staff. Virtually had my food thrown at me and staff had a bad attitude.

The food is good, the service however is horrific and very slow. The wait for the food is not worth it. This is not a one off and has happened on countless occasions

We called in on our way home on the offchance. Staff very friendly and welcoming and the food was about the best Indian I've had. Also I was impressed that we weren't nagged to order extra side dishes etc that make you really never want to eat again, you get so full. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because their hygiene rating was a 1 which surprised me. The restaurant appeared very clean so I'm really hoping that this rating has been addressed.

First visit to this restaurant, but certainly won't be our last. Great service as soon as you entered. An extensive menu to die for, with new dishes that we'd never had before, or even seen on a menu. When the food arrived, it was piping hot, as were the plates to eat off.The taste of the food was simply divine. I can honestly say I've never enjoyed an Indian meal as much. We will definitely be dining here again very soon

Been here before, normally good with nice recommendations for dishes when asked. But today had to swap dishes so they were edible as one likes spicy more than the other. And when asked by staff just laughed at when said what issue was. Tried explain our issue, just not listened to and laughed at. Manager has staff who clearly do not understand English, if they do, their behaviour is unacceptable and needs to be corrected. Was a regular, not willing to go back anytime soon! Poor recommendations, asked for medium and got laughed at because it was too spicy. Disgrace!!!!!

Dropped into the Dhanshiri on a flying visit to Brackley to see relatives from God's own country. Experience significantly enhanced by a visit to the Dhan where the quality of the food and service were quite exceptional.Have to say not something we'd expected and will definitely return. Couldn't recommend it more highly.

Another wonderful meal, always served us freshly cooked food and Yammy Yammy taste. It's a no brainier that Dhanshiri won the best of Northamptonshire Carlsberg Spice Restaurant of year 2015/2016. Well deserved. Love this place.

Usually the time taken to get shown to a table, get sat down, menus given and drinks orders taken can be counted in tens of minutes but not here. Even before I got my coat off my drinks order was taken. That was the rush over and from then on the service was perfect. The food was excellent, an excellent Dhansak. We'll be back.

Stayed at a local hotel the night before an early start at Silverston. Went for a curry on the Monday night with my wife and daughter. This is a top curry shop. Service and food both top class.

This is easily the best Indian food I have had in my life!The food was among the absolute BEST I have ever had - not just Indian Cuisin - EVER!The employees were extremely friendly and very concious to make sure to keep every table pleased and well supplied with food and drink.I could recommend this restaurant to any and everyone - it truely raised the bar for my expectations of food in restaurants and I will most definitively come here again, when I return to England, even if I have do take a detour to get there!Great food, great service, great atmosphere - 12/10 - would go again!

Without a doubt the best Indian in Brackley although I only use it for take away. The restaurant is rather cramped & the decor is rather full on. Try the king prawns & duck dishes nobody in the area does a really good Duck dish like they do.

I have been visiting this indaian for a few years and it has always been the best indian in Brackley (and there are a few) up until now! I visited it on a Wednesday and the normal head waiter was not there. The service was average the food was average and nearly all of the dishes were extremly spicy, much more than usual so a lot of the food got left. The freinds that we were with are all big curry fans so this really was unusual. i will not be going back for a while and wait to see what other people experience. Hopefully this was a once of.

My friend has suggested I visit Dhan Shiri when I moved to Brackley. It took me a year to actually get there but I am sure I will now be visiting more often. The food served by very nice staff is fantastic - the butter chicken is so creamy and lush, chicken pasanda is yummy, egg fried rice and naan bread are amazing. Definitely worth visiting, even if it's just a takeaway you are looking for.
