Do not listen to dietary requirements Tried to blame the system (yet keep taking orders on it all evening on this system, including the manager) Then said thought it only applied to starters (yet this came ignoring my dietary request and had to be sent back to kitchen who still left the ingredient in question on my plate) Main course came also with the ingredient Manager tried to blame system several times and said well we have other tables you know so can't deal with your dietary requirements.. Be warned if you've got an allergy, I would give this place a miss! Not worth the risk!

Pretty average to be honest! We got moved seats firstly, then my partner given the wrong wine, when we questioned this they took away and bought back saying it was right - food was nice enough but over priced for what you get, especially compared to the other Indian Restaurants in Towcester - online menu said tikka masala came with rice but it didn’t (if this only a takeaway thing that should be more clearer), in summary, not for us, over priced, not good value for money and not the best customer service experience.

What can I say about this place ..but amazing top draw food is amazing best around full of flavour cooked just right never had a bad meal or takeaway from these guys great atmosphere all round great place can’t recommend it more. Great priced food as well A* 10/10

Great Sunday lunch offer! Nice Indian restaurant in Towcester – good food, good service and good atmosphere in the evening; but they also do a really good Sunday lunch offer – a choice of starters, mains (from the traditional chicken / meat / veg / paneer as a korma / bhuna / pathia / jalfrezi / madras dishes) plus rice or naan for £14. They are also really good suggesting veggie and vegan options.

Incredible food, so fresh and full of flavour. The staff are extremely polite and friendly, gave our daughter some free ice cream. We’re never disappointed here. Thank you 🙏

The Moghul Rooms was not a disappointment it exceeded any expectations. We Usually go to an Indian in Northampton that serves fabulous food, but too my surprise this restaurant was a cut above that. The restaurant itself is stunning with a great atmosphere. I loved the rustic decor and also of course the delicious curries. Some of the high lights we had were the… lamb boss curry, special mixed sizzler and the goa chilli chicken. All curries were at the right spice level along with the right flavours. On top of that we had excellent service from all the staff - 10/10

Got a menu drop in the post, haven’t heard of the restaurant before, decided to pop in, WOW, what an atmosphere and enthusiasm from Ali and the rest of the staff I saw, had a full on conversation with Ali about this ethos and menu, and how he uses and prepares his food, ordered a selection from the menu for takeaway, I’m gonna try the boss lamb curry next time I go on recommendation, but the food I ordered was very tasty and not greasy at all, gotta say the food was good and I’ve booked a sit down meal for a bunch of us, I’m looking forward to trying something different from the menu, well worth a visit if your local or not. One thing I noticed there was quite a few people dropping in to dine, good sign in my books, Decided to take my self and some mates to have a sit down meal, the whole experience was buzzing, very busy atmosphere but under complete control and tended to at the right moments, food didn’t take too long to arrive and made some small alterations to the ordered food with no stress at all, the food was as high standard as I had the last meal, went for the boss lamb curry as recommended by Ali, very tasty and a good bit of heat as well, the 4 of us ordered different meals and all were of very high standard, I think I found my new favourite takeaway/resturant, it’s just nice food and that’s what everyone wants, with very good service, absolutely no complaints.

This little gem of an institution is hidden away in Towcester which is in West Northamptonshire. This place is roughly a half an hour drive from my actual house. Me, my friends & associates frequent this establishment regularly. Although it is a little bit of a drive away, this is a solid testimony to their food, service and welcoming atmosphere. I would wholeheartedly endorse any of the dishes from their menu with a keen liking to the Boss Lamb Curry (I believe this is a signature dish) & also the Tabaqui Chicken. Furthermore, I am compelled to mention the appetising mixed starters. I’m sure the chefs and the business purvey their good from a higher quality business as I have always found the dishes to be rich, hearty and also full of flavour. Be sure to give this place a try and I can pledge to you that you will not leave anything less than gratified and satiated.

We had some amazing food. It was all so delicious but I especially loved the coconut nan. The staff were fantastic. They made us feel so comfortable and accommodated all our requests. The restaurant was so beautiful and unique. Definitely recommend

Went to The Moghul Rooms with the family and what can I say food was to die for, I would recommend the Jinga Jalsa a prawn dish which was mouth watering thank you Moghul Rooms for a great evening I will be returning.

One of the best indian restaurant i have been too and i have been to many really glad we have stumbled across this place now most likely our go to the food service is outstanding.

Drove past a few times finally decided to pop in after all the place is a talk of the town came on a tuesday the place was heaving i can understand why the food and service was way above average and couldn’t fault anything.

Came to see what the fuss was all about so glad we did spectacular food and service will definitely be returning regularly.

What a fantastic place. We were recommended it by friends and we weren't disappointed. The building is beautiful, quaint and very old. The staff were so friendly, in particular Jay and one of the head waiters. The food was delicious and plentiful. My husband struggled to finish his! Will definitely be returning.

Been to Moghul Rooms twice since it opened and was incredible both times! Even with a larger group, the service was faultless, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Food was also incredible with a good range of options for all palettes, and the atmosphere is great! Prices are also super reasonable for the level of service and food quality. Takeaway is also just as tasty as sit-down service. Will definitely be returning!

The food is v.good and flavours different from other local Indian restaurants which makes a nice change from the normal Bangladesh dishes.

We asked for these dishes to be cooked to our specific tastes, which is only possible if the ingredients are fresh and the chefs are skilled. The mixed grill was equally impressive, with each piece tasting distinct yet forming a cohesive, flavorful plate. The blend of spices was just right, and the meat was cooked to perfection. Well, some friends of ours booked the Mogul Rooms following recommendations. Initially, we were impressed with the location, the decor and atmosphere, the service was good to start with and the order placed. The food arrived and it was fantastic, well presented, good portion size, and very tasty. Service was a little slow and sporadic, once we had finished plates were cleared and the general attitude of one of the staff was appalling. My beer was taken before I had finished, when questioned the staff member asked how much was left and then brought back my original glass as he put it with a small amount of beer in it (see photo), not even a replacement drink in a clean glass. Not impressed. We also challenged an extra drink on the bill and no apology was offered, instead "my bad" and altered the bill. When we complained to another member of staff, at least we got an apology, but no compensation or discount was offered. We felt very disappointed with the service we received and will not be in a hurry to return. The only reason this gets 3 stars is due to the excellent food.

It was a wonderful experience. The food was absolutely superb, and portion sizes were massive. However, I want to clearly note that standard of the food was splendid - just because the portions were hefty, the quality of the food didn't lack at all. My lamb shank was cooked to perfection and I even had to take some home. It was absolutely packed, two members of staff down too and there was little to no wait between courses. Furthermore, the customer experience was consistent and at a high level throughout the whole meal. I can't understand how this place only has 46 reviews. It deserves way more. Will gladly return again.

Me and husband came here for Anniversary meal. Food was really nice, came out really quickly and was super delicious. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food presentation was fabulous, only thing we forgot to take pictures before we tucked in to show how luscious everything looked. The restaurant has a good look and you can get off street parking to the restaurant. Food is well priced and definitely worth it and as the food is actually tasty, not like many other Indians we have been in our local milton keynes area.

We went here for a birthday meal & have to say the food was so so tasty, probably the best curry weve had since we moved to the area last year. The service itself was very very good but my only issue & I know it seems minor but in 40 years of eating in curry houses this is the first time we were charged for the condiment tray that came with the poppadoms and this was then taken away half used. I know it sounds petty but this has never happened before & I'm originally from Birmingham the Holy grail of curry houses 🤣🤣

By far the best chicken vindaloo I've ever had across several countries. Atmosphere was welcoming and homey, service was prompt and friendly, and the food was absolutely amazing. Visited on a weeknight for a curry, but the atmosphere was still lovely, nice music and the cocktails are tasty. I would be happy to come and just have a drink as the bar area is really comfortable and separate from the restaurant. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and the food is really excellent, good quality and good value for money! Will absolutely be returning, a great addition to Towcester!

This was the first time I'd visited The Moghul Rooms and I must say I was very impressed. The waiting staff were extremely attentive but not overbearing and the restaurant itself was very pleasant. We were immediately shown to our tables and had our drinks order taken. There is a wide variety of excellent dishes available on the menu and they were all reasonably priced for a restaurant of this quality. We went at 7pm on a weeknight and I was surprised at how busy it was, but not busy enough to ruin an atmosphere, more like it made the atmosphere. The food orders came in double quick time. My vegetable biryani was excellent and my brother's jalfrezi was as spicy as he likes. My father had a chicken korma and all three dishes were served in gold bowls with gold cutlery and there was more than enough for three hungry men celebrating a birthday! We drank pints of Madri, though I believe Cobra was also on offer and there was an extensive wine list and drinks menu to complement the excellent food. I shall come here again. We were seated downstairs but I believe the restaurant is situated over two floors. There's even a nice little beer garden where you can sit pre or post meal. The restaurant itself is situated just off the high street through a small jitty and it makes for the special atmosphere within. All in all a lovely experience. I'd recommend it to anyone who fancies a pleasant meal in pleasant surroundings. One more shout out to the staff. Excellent service throughout and not overbearing in the slightest. I'm already looking forward to going again.

Food was nice, a little on the expensive side, waiter managed to drop some rice on me, was desperate to sell more beers. My jelfrezi sizzler was definitely not sizzling by the time it got to my table although it was very tasty. All in all not a bad evening out will probably be back again once i have saved up....

Me and my husband recently visited Moghul for the 1st time and had an amazing experience. The butter chicken was so flavorful, and the Jhinga Jalsa was cooked to perfection. The roti was soft and the pilau rice was fragrant and delicious. The dishes were beautifully presented, adding to the overall experience. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, with warm lighting and tasteful decor. The service was impeccable and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Came here for dinner and were met with fantastic service from the moment we stepped through the door. Very friendly, welcoming and attentive wait staff. The only thing that wasn't to my taste was the general atmosphere. We were seated upstairs which is quite crowded and poorly lit. One of our party struggled to read the menu and a diner on a nearby table was using his phone torch to illuminate the menu. It was quite noisy also which meant I struggled to talk to/ hear those on my table (we were only a party of 5) and the background music was barely audible. A mixup with a couple of our rice dishes was dealt with very well. The waiter stated that this was due to not being able to see both dishes properly to distinguish the 2. Without hesitation, both of our meals were completely replaced and the waiter (after several apologies) said he had fed back to the chef on perhaps adding a different garnish to each rice dish to make them more easily identifiable. Overall I had a great meal (once I had the correct rice) which was piping hot and obviously made fresh. I was too busy eating to take photos of my food but everything was presented very nicely. I felt that everything was quite reasonably priced and the portions very generous. I ended up taking half of my curry and rice home as there was a lot of it, especially after poppadoms and a starter. I'm looking forward to dining here again, but maybe in a different part of the restaurant!

This is the restaurant that Towcester has been crying out for. Outstanding service, nicely furnished dining rooms and top notch food. Probably not the cheapest, but I am happy to pay for quality. Recommended.

Travelled to Milton Keynes to visit family, we all decided to eat out before we travelled back home and found this place from recommendations from family friends. So a perfect excuse to go try it out! My expectations are pretty high as we live in York and have the best curry houses in the UK on our doorstep in Leeds and Bradford. Wooow, this place EASILY on par with the best of them up north, im talking Aagrah....Mumtaz etc! Great flavours in each dish which can be tasted and not the generic same flavours in all. Presentation and service was very attentive, nothing too much for the team as we had young kids making a mess. Shahin i believe, just a personal thank you as you were excellent in all aspects of service. Nothing too much for you! Inside is beautiful and reminded us of some of the wonderful buildings in York, great character from the wooden beams to the wonky stairs. What a wonderful visit and we actually took some food home with us too! Can't wait for our next visit to Milton Keynes, will be definitely stopping by again! A must try for anyone whose a curry lover! Thanks again team!

Would recommend, the food was fantastic although we booked we waited 15 mins more for table, then there was a long wait for ordering and food. Which was a shame but the staff were excellent and I really think they were short staffed ! If they get the team right this will be a fantastic place. Hence 4 stars

Went to dine in at moghul rooms after hearing great reviews thought we’d give it a try wow is all we can say this place is not your bog standard curry house the place itself is a classy and boujee establishment the food is phenomenal from the presentation to the taste the flavours burst in your mouth the ingredients are fresh and delicious by far this place is the best Indian restaurant in towcester. The service was very professional and the staff are friendly with very good knowledge to the menu best to take their recommendations we got recommended the goan fisherman curry and boss lamb curry at a medium heat it was absolutely amazing well worth the wait especially it being a Tuesday they was very busy and they executed everything fabulously. Well done moghul rooms this is what towcester has been missing. If you want quality food and top notch service give this place a try you won’t be disappointed.

Whilst the food was lovely, it took 11/2hours to get our starter, they kept getting the drinks order missed up staff wandering around not really sure what they were doing. Had to ask for plates and cutlery. They charged us twice fir bottle of wine (which was rectified) When we mentioned the service to them they said they have only just opened and getting use to things. The food was nice.
