Wednesday banquet evening was as good as ever. Great value meal with goid fresh ingredients. Staff were very polite & helpful. Waiting times were very good. Beer prices are a little steep though. We had a very enjoyable evening.

Got a takeaway delivery, it took an hour and a half to arrive, the food was cold and not great, the chicken in both curries was very dry. Very disappointed, I won't be ordering from here again.

First, the good things. Thr restaurant is smart and pleasant, though some design of the table layout and new artwork could improve the atmosphere. Service was excellent, attentive and professional. Poppadoms and naans were good. Unfortunately the rest of the food was not of the same standard. All our food was in bright red sauce, including the mixed starter platter,. There was little difference between items and no delicacy of flavours or textures. A strong smell of incense was everywhere. We still had a nice evening, and the staff were particularly to be commended, but I doubt if we'll go back.

The food here is amazing, simple as that. Five of us ate (mates from work) all choosing different mains and naans. Every single one of us said it was in the top 10 Indian meals we’d ever had. The food was delicious and you could taste every individual ingredient. I must also make a point about the dips for the popadoms, I know it’s not the main part of the meal, but they were AMAZING. Tiny little restaurant, with a huge menu and excellent food. Can’t fault it.

Good quality food with lots of choices.

Despite not having booked on a Saturday evening, only had to wait 5 minutes for a table to become available and be seated. All the staff were friendly and helpful, especially when their cash machine failed and we trooped around to Waitrose cash machines. Plenty of choice on the menu and price was reasonable.

Have ordered takeaway and sat In numerous times in the past, all in all it’s great and the food is very good HOWEVER, ordered a takeaway last night via the phone, the communication was poor! Me and partner both had to speak on the phone, the person on the phone was still answering other phones and essentially not taking our order seriously, finally, order placed and they hung up, only to call back and to take the order again - when it came to payment they were having issues to the point that the staff member said “boss man, I’m very busy” - i get that you are busy but if your that busy, don’t take our order, don’t speak to me so rudely on the phone!! Really disappointed as it’s always been a good experience and the food is good. Maybe hire more staff or as said, if too busy that’s fine state that first so we can order from somewhere else. Both me and partner had long days at work ourselves and just wanted a night off from cooking. Really don’t appreciate the tone that was used. Eventually the payment went through because they didn’t take down the right card number…….probably because still on the phone to other customers! When the order arrived, didn’t receive the usual dips we normally get every time also. May consider using The Ganges now in future due to this experience to be honest!

Wow. No words. I have travelled far and wide and have never experienced such exceptional service. A rare mix of being super attentive but also respectful of your space and conversations. The whole staff made us feel like royalty. The food was brilliant. Authentic and delicious. We were expertly guided by the staff who had wonderful recommendations. I am not from Towcester but would travel back for this restaurant. Just exceptional. Cannot recommend enough. Special thanks to everyone who worked there who made it such a wonderful experience

Came here when visiting Silverstone. We opted for the banquet at £15 per person and what a banquet it was! Food was delicious and plentiful. Staff were all very friendly, can't fault at all. Amazing value for money really. Can't recommend enough.

Had a great experience at the dilraj as I’ve been coming for the last 10years Never had a bad one and the staff are always very warm and welcoming.. The new dishes in the menu are so nice I tried the king prawn sherabi and the roasted stuff peppers was so nice .. I always have a delivery but chose to go in this time and wow the food was served so different as to how I get it delivered as the sherabi was flambéed set on fire and the experience was so nice ..will come again Thanks guys

Website states that if you live outside a 5 mile radius there's an additional charge. Had a large group of friends over earlier and was recommended by a neighbour. Wrote down the large order which was totalling above £250.00 worth of food orders. The gentleman on the telephone in a rude tone told us that they don't deliver that far. It was only last month did I sit around my neighbours who had ordered delivery from them. Shocked by their lies and abruptness. Will never use again.

First class!! Exceptional customer service upon entering until leaving. The food was amazing. We got a mixed grill, bhuna chicken, keema naan, plain naan came free and plain boiled rice. Free bottle of beer even though it was a takeaway. I will return again if I'm around this area. Reasonable prices too. A*****

A terrific night out with friends. I picked the restaurant and what a result. Great food and service. All four of us we’re very impressed. My friend didn’t eat much due to recent throat cancer, but it wasn’t because he didn’t like it. The waiter was concerned that he had hardly touched his food and asked if everything was ok. All four of us commented on the brilliant service by all of the staff. These guys certainly know how to make you feel welcome. If anybody needs to train staff how to serve customers, send them here for a meal. Keep up the good work guys. We will be back.

What a great dining experience! The minced onion chutney was a special treat. Their dining room is cozy, without feeling cramped, and service was attentive and friendly. Try the mushroom rice!

Called in when I was in the area for work. It was later on a Monday evening so we were the only party (of 2) and they were on the verge of closing up early but that did not take away from the level of service that was offered, it was second-to-none and the staff were super-friendly. Would definitely consider returning if ever in the area again. First class.

Ordered a takeaway. Advised would be 30 minutes. 2 hours later not arrived and despite chasing multiple times finally admitted not yet even cooked. Never arrived.

I've visited the Dilraj a couple of times while working at Silverstone, and it has been excellent every time. Friendly staff, a convivial atmosphere, fairly quick service, and above all excellent food - portion sizes are spot on and the food is superb quality with a big variety of dishes and great flavours at reasonable prices. If you're at Silverstone or indeed anywhere in the area be sure to check it out, you won't be disappointed!

We ordered for collection and the customer service in the restaurant was good whilst we waited. Our order was read back to us before we left the restaurant so we assumed it was all packed correctly. Unfortunately, once we’d driven home and unpacked we found several items missing. We called the restaurant who could only offer to give us the missing items if we collected, meaning the rest of our food would be cold. No other alternative was offered, such a refund, and our names were not taken. The food we did receive was underwhelming, cold naan and watery curry did not make up for the missing items. Will be avoiding in the future.

Amazing customer service, all staff were warm and welcoming from the very moment we first called up and throughout! Food was delicious and came to the table quickly. Really couldn't overstate how amazing this place is, will be sure to visit again soon.

Really enjoyed my curry here. Visited on a Wednesday when it was set price for 5 courses. Admittedly I was confused over what 5 courses this was (this wasn't explained really well, though I did ask) but I gathered it meant starter, main, side dish, rice and a sundry (eg. naan). Service was brilliant. Really attentive staff. And couldn't fault the food and value for money. I'd have gone for 5 stars if it wasn't for the confusion over the set menu. 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

First time back for a while but we thought we would treat ourselves to the banquet deal . Glad we booked as the place was almost fully booked by 7pm. No delay with our food and it all presented well and full of flavour. Nice bottle of wine or two as the first went far too quickly . Thanks Ahmed for a lovely visceral delight .

Best Indian food we have had in ages! Our food arrived quickly and was fresh and tasty. Portions were a decent size without being overbearing. All the staff were warm and friendly from the moment we walked in and the service was really excellent. The manager made a special effort to talk to everyone in what was a quite busy restaurant (for a Wednesday night anyway). We will definitely be returning.

Tonight we thought we would try this restaurant after a recommendation. I have two fussy children and one that barely eats anything with any flavour due to sensory difficulties. However nothing was too much tonight, they moved us tables so we could be nice and cool by the aircon, they helped us with the menus and what to decide, they spoke to my children like they were individuals which they appreciated. We were welcomed and taken care of attentively. I too am a fussy sod when it comes to spiced food and I have to say that was some of the best Bengali food I’ve ever tasted. Just full of flavour and clean yummy food with great service. Thank you for a lovely evening. 🥰

Great food and service but it felt rushed! Food quality and choice here is amazing, tasty and authentic. I'm always a fan of really great service, however it just felt slightly rushed. No sooner had we finished our poppadoms - and bam - the main courses landed on the table. No asking if we'd like to wait, it was like they'd been teleported on to the table! 😂 Having said that, the staff are really friendly, courteous and attentive so will definitely give it another go - but will ask them for a break in between courses, as we were in and out within 35 minutes!

We were in from America for the British GP and needed a post race meal. Boy were we in luck. The food was excellent. The service was warm, welcoming and helpful. Truly the best papadums we have ever had. So good, we went back for more the night before we left. A must visit experience.

'25 minutes' for a takeaway resulted in over OVER AM HOUR wait, and it seemed like they had forgotten our order, as they checked what name the order number was, about 5 times. Absolutely clueless. First and last time I'd use them. Poor.

Tried to make an order for collection over the phone and the guy was very rude so I cancelled my whole order. I was just asking how much it would cost and how long it would be, there is no need to get that frustrated and angry with your customers over simple questions. Bad service sort it out.

The wife and I stopped here for an impromptu date night as we travelled through Towcester. We received a great welcome at the door and ordered our food without issues. The food arrived in good time and was great, my wife even had food left which we took away; great portion size, she ate it for lunch the following day. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We paid at the end and the bill was very reasonable considering the price hikes elsewhere. If we're ever back in this direction we will definitely consider stopping by again.

Starters were fine. Long wait before we get the mains. New Year's Eve and quite busy so did not complain at the time. It appeared that several people were missing dishes or getting the wrong dish. When we eventually got ours the waiter placed my partners dish in front of him saying "chicken tika madras". He popped a small piece in his mouth and immediately started shaking and feeling ill, and he hadnt even bitten into it. He had been given the wrong dish and this was a fish dish, which he is allergic to. I said that it was the wrong dish and the waiter took it away saying he'd bring the right one. No apology. My partner was feeling quite ill by now so I ate a bit of mine, paid the bill and left. He would not let me complain at the time as does not like to make a fuss. It was several days before he started feeling better. I know they were busy but no excuse for serving the wrong dish.

Been coming here for years had no problems food and service great. Last 3 times I’ve had food missing and wrong and the final straw is my madras was not even spicy it was like eating lamb in gravy. Very disappointed

Served chicken after waiter talked me through what dishes were vegan!

I asked over the phone if I change the meal for 1 to be a different curry I was told ‘that’s no problem’ and when it got here it was not a different curry it was the garlic chicken curry which tasted horrific and I’m pregnant and can’t stand nuts! It just tasted like nuts and I never ate it.. My partner called up and the guy was so rude and unhelpful. We then had to call back as our vegetable samosas were missing and the guy didn’t even want to talk to my partner he even put the phone down and walked away. And now I feel robbed as I never got some of the food I paid for.

Dilraj is our go to Indian restaurant and today’s service is as fabulous as ever. The boss is away and Mr Forhad looked after us so well. Cost effective, nothing too much trouble

Food great. But the drinks have an unwarranted mark up. £6 for a 250ml bottle of coke and £7 for a pint of Cobra. The money they take off food on their banquet nights, is put on drinks. Just be aware!
