The best restaurants in South Derbyshire East Midlands

Stopped delivering to my address,we used to have 1 or 2 weekly unbelievable because the food and delivery was fabulous, now gutted

Been coming here for years. Always nice and cosy in the Winter. On the last two visits we have all been frozen. The fire used to be wonderful now it hardly slight. Had to sit with our coats on. We won’t be going back.

Amazing food, lovely chicken, bacon and bbq sauce panni! My partner had a bagel which she said was beautiful! Would definitely recommend and come back again!

Went today to have coffee the cafe was so so busy. We have been quite a few times and never had a problem. The staff are so nice and work so hard nothing it to much trouble for them. Feel for the staff at times as people are so rude to them and shout at them. there is no need at all!! They all do their best for everyone. Give them a break!!!

nice staff would return again . very good prices and good covid restrictions being enforced. all staff worn masks and nice outside area . good pricing too and not too far from hotel I was staying at down road

came in for a wee! although the toilets were not the absolute cleanest they did do the job. lots of parking available as well as electric car chargers and bins :-) and a fair selection of monster energy drinks!!

Great food from the carvery. Beef was perfectly cooked and delicious. Large selection of vegetables. Roast potatoes very good unlike in most pubs.

I was here for a wedding party so this was my first visit. Upon arrival we were shown where the function was being held, which was away from the pub. It is a lovely set up, staff were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The toilets were always clean, to say the amount of people that were using them. Also I thought it was a very good idea that they had baskets of free ladies products that you could help yourself too, as sometimes we can get caught out! The only thing that let it down for me, is that there's no onsite parking, so had to find on street parking, but I was lucky to find one, not too far from the pub, a short walk away.

Had the valentine's meal. Food was vey enjoyable . Great service. Staff very helpful. Good atmosphere. Would recommend.

We were a party of 13 celebrating my wife's 60th birthday, and I must say it was a really lovely evening. Many of the choices on the extensive menu are different to normal pub fare and all reasonably priced especially taking into account the excellent quality of the food and the amount on our plates. I must make special mention of Niamh our server for the night.From the very start she was so helpful and cheery. The tables weren't set out quite as we had asked and within a couple of minutes she had this sorted. One of our party has some food allergies and Niamh noted all these down and helped her with dishes she could eat and reassured her with regards the separation of preparation areas and utensils etc. Throughout the night she couldn't have been more friendly and helpful especially at the end when she helped us oldies use the app to pay.Another nice touch for the evening was the lovely presentation of a birthday cake my son had baked. It was brought out on a big slate with Happy 60th written in chocolate sauce with strawberries and little silk flowers placed around it. Suffice it to say we will definitely be back.

Service was quick, did complain about one of the meals waiter did just turn his nose up at us, not what u do to paying customer

A massive 5 stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Have just been for the Caribbean theme night, the food was absolutely amazing, so tasty, and flavoursome. A massive thank you to Mitch, Brad and the team for always being friendly and welcoming.

We were recommended to stay at the Bulls Head. When booking Becky was friendly and helpful. On arrival we received a very warm welcome from Becky and her team. We had dinner, bed and breakfast. Food was great in nice surroundings and were really made to feel like we were locals. Becky was a very attentive host and we really felt that our custom was genuinely valued. Would highly recommend and will be back.

Excellent lunch with my wife. First visit, won’t be the last . Really nice to go to a pub that hasn't got a corporate menu, that is its individual to the pub , and the food is freshly prepared. Very pleasant village pub location and atmosphere, nice friendly and very efficient service. Highly recommended!

Second visit, first time was absolutely excellent, great service, great food... second visit less so, service still good but food was "ok" at best. Squid starter was over cooked & tough, main of Salmon and baby new potatoes was fine in respect of the fish but the potatoes resembled small standard whites and tasted like they had been hanging around for a while. We pointed out the over cooked squid but no reduction on the bill or any particular interest shown. We may give it one more chance, yet to decide.
