No2 Coffee House in South Derbyshire

Amazing food, lovely chicken, bacon and bbq sauce panni! My partner had a bagel which she said was beautiful! Would definitely recommend and come back again!

Visited today (not our first time) with my friend and our kids, we attend the craft club first and always grab a bite to eat afterwards. A lovely welcoming place, all the staff are friendly and super helpful, brill with the kids, food is lovely and a bargain too.

First visit to this cafe. Just missed the lunch time rush so managed to get a nice seat. Made very welcome as we entered by the friendly staff. Choice of flat breads, bagels, paninis, sandwiches and salads was nice. Drinks were brought over to our table first, followed shortly after by the food. The chicken tikka flat bread was very nice and had lots of toppings. All in all a great visit and will definitely be coming back next time we are in town 👍👍👍👍👍

Jee I am very surprised to see any negative reviews whatsoever for this gorgeous little place... I've never found it anything but CLEAN, I've never found anybody impolite, not even remotely. In fact quite the opposite! The staff I've encountered here have all been super accommodating to mine and my 3 year old daughter's needs. I've had them make me 2 small tasters of drinks before I settle on which I want 🤣 they've remade me drinks free of charge not because they were bad but because they weren't to my taste... the cakes are amazing, we've sampled lots on the menu and I genuinely have no complaints ! The owner went above and beyond for me recently keeping the place open a few minutes late as she could see I needed that 10 minute sit down and coffee, she even printed out some useful resources for me regarding my daughters recent diagnosis! I LOVE this place and my daughter and I shall remain frequent visitors. Don't allow any negative review (which I personally can't and don't believe) try it yourself, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised 🙏

Love no 2 on the Delph if we gave a coffee it's always there Every Friday we have breakfast at no 2 I have to have GF no problem everyone is friendly staff & customers lovely dogs because it is dog friendly too Xxxxx

I use to visit regularly and previously left 5 stars, but after a bad visit last year I decided to avoid for a while. I’ve been in twice this year, again the first wasn’t a good experience so left it a few months and returned on Monday in the hope it had improved. Now I feel is the right time to do a review again. The outside looks nice, finally they’ve covered the posts office sign with one of their own, the window displays still look nice, quite inviting, sadly the defence discount /blue light sign was gone so maybe they don’t advertise or have stopped offering discounts for ex forces etc….. I did. Ask at the till point and was told yes they offer it they just don’t advertise it anymore. There was now a table right at the door, which made it look cluttered and awkward for anyone who had to sit there, the mats near the counter were all on top of each other causing feet to get caught in them. The flooring has become worse over time, now they’ve taken up the vinyl and replaced with floor tiles that haven’t struck done properly and not covered the entire floor, it’s dirty and I couldn’t quite work out if it was stuck on dirt or just where the concrete floor was showing. Thankfully they had moved those large wooden blue boxes further away, so it feels more comfortable to sit in. The chairs were dirty, and didn’t look like they’d been cleaned for years, it looked like chocolate but definitely needs cleaning. The chairs had the foam floor feet protectors on them, half were coming off and had caught all the dust and dirt in them, it would be a good idea to replace the ones hanging off, maybe put rubber feet that fix to the chairs. The menu was covered in food and dirty finger prints, again this sort of thing could be wiped down at the end of each day, this had been here for a while. I was going to purchase a scone but the bottoms were burnt and the cake in the cabinet look very dry and not a particularly clean looking cabinet. With that in mind I didn’t even want the food. Scarlet served me my flat white, which was actually a flat white, so a great improvement as some past visits haven’t been very successful with the standard of coffee, but this was a good flat white, not burnt, correct temperature and even had a heart pattern. The toilet has a leak, sadly this was reported last year but I’m guessing the problem is still there, the problem with this is there toilet rolls are stored on the floor, very close to the leak and that water “could” contaminate the paper. So this time I just moved the toilet roll holder further away. The name No2 coffee house makes you believe you’re entering a clean, tidy busines that serves high quality drinks and food with staff that know what they are doing / well trained. Sadly this is not the case here, it’s slowly becoming a cafe at best, friends of the business leaving amazing reviews is very damaging, and those that visit expect far more than they’re going to get. Such a shame, I only hope some of the problems are temporary as Swadlincote lacks a great coffee shop.

The staff are lovely, the coffee and the croissant were really nice. It’s a shame it looks so shabby. Really good value as long as you can look past the worn out settee with holes, the unpainted chip board and mess they try and hide behind the plants.

Visited today awful experience. The boy and girl who were working there didn’t say a word and didn’t even bother to ask us for sugars or be polite and have a simple conversation. The flat white was awful. Wouldn’t visit again they clearly don’t care about their customers. Waste of time and money.

First and last time. Hot drinks awful, both left our drinks tea cheap tea bag, left in for long time still taste less. Coffee very cheap, weak and no taste. Had piece of lemon drizzle, no lemon and very dry. Very disappointed.

Our first time visiting and must say really impressed. A lovely warm welcome, fabulous nice and hot latte and a couple of light bite croissants. We like to support local businesses where we can and I’ll definitely return. Good opening hours too- none of this 10-1 business. Well done!

Coffee made as it should be, no stressy bariistas or rushed bariistas making frothy hot milk and coffee drinks that could be a cappuccino or latte....but you take it anyway because forget coffee should be treated with the same hight standards as everything else (sorry Costa) Great skill Greta management and staff Great selection of drinks, they make an iced coffee like a mixologist and it's amazing Don't order a blondie though, because you'll be back for more later 🤦🐷.

Lovely bagels and excellent coffee, will call again. Clean and airy and obviously child friendly. Staff were very courteous and helpful.
