Been coming here for years never had an issue - ordered some kids breakfasts as they love them, at 1pm to be told they were going to stop doing them as too many people were ordering. Yet you could still order something on toast.. Interesting when the menu header is ALL DAY BREAKFASTS - something for the new ownership to improve on

I recently visited this lovely coffee spot nestled in the Forestry Centre, perfect for anyone seeking a quiet, nature-filled escape. The coffee was excellent, and the food won’t let you down either, with generous portions and fresh ingredients. Friendly staff. The spacious seating and relaxed atmosphere make it ideal for large groups or family gatherings. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful solo retreat or a venue for an event, this café offers the perfect balance of nice coffee, good food and serene surroundings.

Walked into the cafe to find both ladies sat at a table playing on their phones It felt almost like we were a nuisance when they had to get up to serve us No greeting or even a smile off them, in fact one leaned on the counter with her head resting in her hand and looked like she had no interest in what we wanted Food was bought to us but not up to much and immediately it was served they then went back to sitting down and on their phones Both looked really miserable and as if they didn’t want us to be there Felt really uncomfortable and as soon as we had finished we quickly left, even though some cake would have been nice You need to change your staff as has totally put us off visiting again and I am sure other people felt the same

It’s ok, not as good as the sadly closed Honey Pot. One person taking orders and making drinks is far too slow. Sausage sandwich was made from sausages that make Smart Price look high quality and frankly wasn’t that cheap. The Honey Pot served quality food at the same price and did impeccable cakes. I’ll probably go to the sandwich van over the road next time.

Beautiful bacon sarnie! Lovely friendly staff. The young girl behind the counter is a gem! (sorry I didn’t get your name) but you are great!

Having one lady taking orders and trying to make drinks was ridiculous- queue was out the door - it’s obvious it needs one person on till and taking orders and another person making drinks- people were just walking out, any ice creams were melting so parents telling children to just eat them, ( and saw many didn’t pay for them) food looked good and drinks ok but needs someone to organise this. Place looks clean and girl wiping down tables so it’s a shame the organisation is so poor, wouldn’t return

Visited today for coffee and cake. The cafe has been refurbished with great furniture, decoration, counter and light fittings all contributing to a fantastic new look. A great cup of coffee too. Let's hope the rest of the site catches up with the cafe.

By chance happened to try the cafe with my Nan after a shopping trip, ever since we've been back usually each week for our hub breakfast and tea. The staff are very friendly and welcoming every time, knowing our order in advance now (yes my Nan is a creature of habit), the staff are accommodating knowing that my Nan prefers her tea being brought out with the food. The food is lovely, it's nice to find somewhere local that does a decent cooked breakfast that is also all day and responsibly priced. The food always comes hot and fresh. During the winter the cafe is even better with the warm roaring log fire, we've been lucky most times to be able to get the table right in front of the fire, it was nice one week where the staff cleared the table especially for us to use. Would highly recommend a visit before/after a walk around the forestry centre....or like us, just visit for the food! The other food always looks nice when I've been nosy as it's gone past. (also good place for Poke fans, it's right next to the gym!)

This is a very convenient place to enjoy light refreshments after walking around the extensive grounds. There are comfy chairs to relax in or sitting at regular tables to enjoy a meal. The food offered is of good quality, pleasant welcoming staff too.

Came to Rosliston forestry centre for a walk with my dog. Popped in to the cafe and had a breakfast and coffee. Nice cafe, very clean, friendly staff. But most importantly a fantastic veggie breakfast. And that seems to be a rare thing. Eggs, toast, hash browns, tomatoes and veggie sausages. Highly recommend.

Great stop when cycling or just visiting the centre. Self service cafeteria type eatery. Can be pricey, watch what you buy! It can also get very busy at the weekend but rarely any long queues.

There is a log burner so it is toasty on a cold day after a walk or Park Run. The staff are friendly and there are the usual drinks. The cakes are good.

Considering the location I think the prices are very reasonable, good range of choice and the service couldn't be faulted

Very clean and friendly. Expensive - coffee and cake prices are right up there From my personal experience, slow to serve No wifi and this is a missed opportunity as it could be a home worker haven - where people pay by calories. It could be amazing - however, the Honeypot tearooms at the other end of the village wins hands-down.

We had two evening meals, unconnected to our stay at Premier Inn Burton On Trent East next door, and they were fantastic. Nice bar staff and pleasant facilities.

Perfect pub food, order at bar on on the phone. Only complaint was maybe the wait was a bit long, but the food was worth it!

No cold coffees availvale, staff didn't have much about them and made no attempt to interact.

Really busy on a Friday lunchtime which is always a good sign. Excellent menu difficult to choose! We opted for fish finger sandwich with fries and halloumi sandwich with fries, one of us opted for salad instead of fries and this wasn’t an issue. Only negative is the coffee - not a good flavour and served luke warm. This was swapped swiftly for us and the staff were lovely and the service was good. It’s also very dog friendly. Would definitely recommend.
