Costa Coffee in South Derbyshire

Came to costa last week and asked for a frostino with no cream they put cream on and scraped it off with a spoon! And then I went again today they did the same thing again but did not put any chocolate sauce on and they gave me a lid to make it smaller rather than a domed lid so I got less than I payed for!

Meet friends in coffee shops all the time as you’d expect it to be of a certain cleanliness. This was my last visit in November 2019 as I’m embarrassed to go in with friends. Tables full of pots and trays. The wait on coffee is very slow. Yes your baristas and I want my coffee to be tasty and of a high standard however 1 person on the floor and one on the till doing coffee as well is just poorly managed

I always enjoy popping into Costa in Swadlincote with a friend for a cuppa. The macaroni cheese snack in a box is lovely. The downside of Costa is the tables need clearing more quickly. The staff are good, there just isn't enough of them. Rizzle, Swadlincote.

The best and friendliest Coffee shop I’ve been too. The place is always busy and still very clean, all the staff are very welcoming; recommended for all & family’s too 💯

Not sure if it a lack of staff but the first impression whenever we have been here lately is the tables need clearing/cleaning. The coffee is always smooth and not bitter. Which is why we come here. Popped in before going to the cinema as it is very convenient.I had the chocolate crunchy thing which was nice. My wife went for the lemon curd tart, which was cracked and looked a bit dry.The disabled toilet was swimming in water.

Love this place, staff always amazing. Manager always smiling, and happy to chat. Recent makeover has improved the place no end. Perfect for a take away with loads of parking outside. Cinema next door so ideal location. Highly recommend.

Very busy cafe with friendly staff and good service. The food is well displayed and tastes fabulous. Great coffee with a good choice of different drinks. Quality coffee served in a lovely setting

We had trouble finding a seat as Saturday mornings are very busy so be prepared for a short wait. The service seems a little slow at times and expensive, but well tasty and just the thing after a walk round town.

Some Costas are better than others and this is one of the best. Clean and usually excellent service. The occasions when it has been slow is because of a staff shortage but that is not the fault of the staff who are there. Great range of food the baristas make excellent coffee and it is my local. How lucky am I.

I visited the shop for the first time and found that the staff were friendly and helpful.The staff went out of their way to help as I am a wheelchair user.Will definitely be visiting again

What a lovely surprise to find this outstanding branch of Costa Coffee in Swadlincote. New in the area, this coffee shop has managed to retain its sense of newness. I do hope this can be sustained.Today we arrived at lunchtime on a very cold day. Although busy, ample seating was still available; customers appear to observe the courtesy of purchasing items / drinks prior to securing a table.Service was certainly with a smile. Four staff members work flat out to provide a swift process of ordering. Items appeared on the tray quickly enough, the coffee machine does take a long time to process and does create the queue - not the ordering part of the transaction. Our savoury option was initially missed but easily put right, thank you.All areas are outstandingly clean - including the toilet. THANK YOU for that alone, this was a busy Saturday, but all was catered for well. The hygiene rating is 5*.We were delighted with our visit and will go again without hesitation. This is a flagship outlet for Costa. One big advantage is that our lunch, with two hot drinks, came to little over £10 - not bad at all, and so efficiently provided, in comfort, on a bitterly cold morning.As always, seating varies and offers different purposed areas which would support business meetings well during the week. Fully recommended!

Love the teaming of Bonfire latte and cake. Bit expensive though so wouldn’t have it on every visit.

Met a friend for coffee. Plenty of seating and parking available. Pleasant visit and will be returning.

This is ur regular coffee house so as you would expect we like the atmosphere, staff and the quality of the coffee/food. As per any coffee shop it can get busy early mornings, but there is a good feel about the place with lots of regulars

This costa directly opposite Odeon cinema, so perfect when waiting. Slow service as always in Costa, but very helpful and obliging staff, good selection of cakes and toasties. Also second hand books for sale for charity.

Staff are always very busy but still make time to help with your requests and raise a smile. The shop is situated in the middle of a small retail park so its very handy after carrying out a little shopping.

Just popped in for a drink and cake. Have been here quite a few times, but it was so slow in getting served today. I know it was busy but I could have got it myself quicker. As usual it was expensive but the hot chocolate was great. Cake was lovely but the pieces are so small, you could buy a whole cake for the price you pay.
