Hong Kong house in South Derbyshire

The aromatic duck tastes Devine. I do not think I’ve seen a Chinese in Britain that does the food so well. The online menu reads chapter and verse the same as my wedding day clear-cut with all the information that one could ever need for ordering a Chinese.

Do not recommend. Didn’t deliver part of my order and didnt rectify the situation and instead said they would give me a discount on my next order. There will never be another order.

They used to be good! Make mistakes on their orders and are aggressive over the food. Food order always get cancelled as o complained about their service once

The guy shouts down the phone….we ask for a slight change….he gets louder and ruder ….apparently he does this all the time. Food was average at best but spoilt by the guy….hard to recommend…

Delivery driver was parked on our drive delivering to next door for 20mins, throwing litter out his window onto our property. When confronted and asked if he was lost, was met with a torrent of abuse and refused to move. Swearing and telling me to “shut up, woman”. He said we were being racist because of his skin colour, when it was nothing of the sort. Littering on our property, blocking us in and parking on our driveway was the issue, the subsequent abuse that followed was shocking and unacceptable. Rang the takeaway to complain and make them aware, for them to really not care, saying they will ‘speak’ to the driver. Not a good representation of the business and had to inform the police since we do now not feel safe if he returns. Will never be using this takeaway, and will be discouraging others from using them due to their lack of concern or care in this matter.

Love this place it’s local and the food I so nice And delicious and the people are really nice and kind

Had a take away twice from this chinese whilst we were staying in the area ,collection first then delivery to our lodge at Ashby woulds on the second occasion. Both times the food was delicious ,plenty of it ,nice & hot & quick delivery.I would recommend.

Went to order from here only to find out that they only take cash and don’t do card payment, it’s 2019 should be taking card payments

Dirty, grotty take out. Food was greasy and tasteless. Woman on the phone didn't care about complaint and put the phone down. Only plus side it came within half hour.

Never fails great choice of meat & non meat dishes .plenty of flavour . Always arrives earlier than they say and good value large portions.

Sorry but really not sure why this place has constant 5 stars. Didn’t think the food was anything special, the roast chicken Chinese style was bland and the rice dry.

This Chinese takeaway is definitely the best in the area - would go as far as saying it’s the best we’ve EVER come across. The food is excellent & the service great. 5 Stars all round!!

Having never tried this Chinese, we decided to give it a go as our usual one is quite a drive away now. It was lovely and ready very quickly. We’ll definitely be ordering from Hong Kong House again.

We have tried may Chinese in Swadlincote but Hong Kong House is by far the best. We drove to Hong Kong House due to not having a menu. We ordered what we wanted and with 15 to 20 minutes it was cooked. I had satay chicken skewers with no sauce they was beautiful, the chicken fried rice was not dry or oily it was again really nice, my husband had the Dragon fire and asked to be mild and it was, the chicken and mushroom soup is amazing, the only problem was some of the chips was dry so we didn't eat many. It's only the 2nd time we have eaten there and we would recommend.

This is my favorite Chinese in the SWAD area! Ladies in here are chatty, & always have a smile! Takeaway always excellent

Como estamos en vacaciones en el área en la que buscó llevar china local en la zona y esta joya. Pedimos el plato mixto a 6 libras y es enorme! ! ! Dos de nosotros sin lleno, así que nos costó a los platos principales los polacos! Cada parte de la comida era deliciosa y el conductor de la entrega era precioso y educado. Recomiendo encarecidamente! ! !

Nos trasladamos a Swadlincote el año pasado y parecía en tripadvisor para las recomendaciones, ya que dividido para tener una comida para llevar china. Vimos los comentarios eran buenos para la casa de Hong Kong y decidí ir anoche. La comida era deliciosa y no nos decepcionó. Este llevar a partir de ahora. El servicio era bueno y la persona al teléfono muy servicial. Gracias a todos los otros críticos, que eran del todo correcto con su alabanza por este para llevar.

Lovely takeaway food . Fried rice. Chicken and mushroom curry . Chicken chow mein. Sweet and sour king prawns.

Have used this takeaway for years now and always had great food & service, have tried others and our opinion is definitely best in this area
