We had an absolutely delicious meal tonight! We have wanted to visit on many occasions and it’s just never happened, well we’re SO GLAD it did tonight!! Everything was perfect and Rafael made us feel so comfortable and welcome. For starters, we had a tomato & mozzarella salad, garlic bread and scallops, and for mains we ordered the lasagne and finished with an incredible tiramisu. We definitely can’t forget the most delicious chilli oil ever which was topped up on several ocassion nicely! We can’t wait to return, all staff were very attentive, thank you to all who served us. Popped in for a quick lunch with my daughter. Simply because it was so pretty. Ordered a toasted sandwich and a pot of tea. Delicious. Was given a plate full of food!

Excellent food at very reasonable prices, this is my 3rd visit and can honestly say there will be many more. Very good portion sizes cooked to perfection, friendly staff. Can highly recommend this eatery.

The venue is great , the staff were very friendly and made sure the children had their food first, which was thoughtful; but the food let it down.

Food generally isn't bad. Sandwiches are OK. Soggy breakfast baguettes are a failure tho. But, the real issue is the service. I even tested it out by tipping. You only get friendly service at the end once they got a tip (Apart from a black woman, she was very sweet throughout service a few times) Honestly...I find this place overrated and unfortunately disheartening, I have really tried, but...U are all rude. If you don't want to work there then leave.

We ordered the koz grill and some hummus and it was absolutely delicious. I am celiac and the team were fantastic. They were very clued up on what I could and couldn’t have and also understood cross contamination. All of the grilled meats, chips, salad and dips were gluten free. I was sharing the platter and so the team put the rice and bread in a separate bag so that the gluten containing products was kept separate. The grilled meats were beautifully grilled and super juicy and flavoursome! We shared the platter between three of us and there was more than enough. Definitely recommend and lovely to have a different take away option in town.

Hussain was an absolute star, couldn't do enough for us. Was walking nearby, the smell of the cuisine, could not be ignored. Food is first class, menu choices epic, wine very well priced too. Can't wait to come back, brilliant all round!

No, no , no ... it's changed hands and wow.. I had to walk out, fish looks burnt to hell, so disappointing, used to be fantastic. As a local that lives within 500 metres I would warn anyone away, rubbish.

First time ordering food from Eastern delight. Quick delivery with hot, tasty food. We will definitely be ordering from them again.

Filthy and Funny (Not in a Good Way) I checked in expecting a decent night's sleep, but instead got a front-row seat to a horror show. The bathroom was a masterpiece of grime, complete with a black mold mural and a used towel, perhaps left as a parting gift from a previous guest. And the floor? Well, it had a surprise for me - a bloody plaster. The sofa bed, my night's accommodation, was as inviting as a used mattress on a pavement. No undersheet? No problem! Just pure, unfiltered discomfort. And let's not forget the carpet, a relic from a bygone era, proudly displaying its battle scars in the form of stains and fraying edges. If you're looking for a truly authentic, "budget" experience, complete with a side of disgust, this is the place for you. Just remember to bring your own disinfectant and a sense of humor.

The Wheatsheaf in Oakham is a traditional pub with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Dan and his team always go the extra mile to make you feel at home. They have a great selection of real ales, including guest ales that change regularly, as well as a menu of fresh, home-cooked food. Whether you're stopping by for a pint or a bite to eat, The Wheatsheaf is a great choice.
