If you're in the mood for a cozy, rustic dining experience ,this tavern style restaurant is a must visit after Warhammer World. The ambiance perfectly captures the essence of an old school tavern, with wooden beams, dim lighting, and a welcoming, laid back vibe. The atmosphere feels inviting yet slightly nostalgic, transporting you to a place where good food and great company are the main focus. As for the food, the burgers are simply outstanding. Each one is a juicy, flavorful masterpiece—cooked to perfection with high quality ingredients. The patties are tender, the buns soft yet sturdy, and the toppings are fresh and generous. From classic burgers to more inventive creations, there's something to satisfy every burger lover's craving. The fries, crispy and golden, make the perfect sidekick to your meal, and the selection of craft beers pairs wonderfully with the rich flavors of the burgers. Whether you're grabbing a casual bite with friends or enjoying a solo meal in a comfortable setting, this tavern offers a delightful culinary experience that's hard to beat. A perfect spot for burger aficionados looking for great taste and an authentic atmosphere.

We hadn't booked so popped in as soon as they opened and were thrilled to get a table. The atmosphere and service and banquet we shared between two of us were all great. It made it a much more enjoyable and memorable experience than visiting a bland chain restaurant. Whilst it soon got busy we were not rushed and were able to order extra drinks as we required them. Fantastic! Plus a great price. Thank you. I'd already eaten part of the starter before taking the picture below - I just couldn't resist. It was all great.

I’m a regular customer, even though my husband no longer wants to visit because of the service before. This morning, I had an almond croissant that was excessively heavy and very oily, making me seriously question the quality. The explanation I received felt inadequate—whatever happens during baking should be controlled before presenting the product to customers. Unfortunately, I ended up paying for this failure, even leaving a tip. There are only a couple of reasonable bakeries in town, leaving me no choice. Life is difficult!

A stylish and welcoming restaurant in Nottingham’s Hockley area. Mesa offers a cosy, modern atmosphere perfect for enjoying shared plates. I thoroughly enjoyed the Jerusalem artichoke, which had a wonderful variety of textures and balanced flavours. The pan-fried cod was another standout, with a hint of wasabi that complemented the dish beautifully. My only critique would be the aubergine dish, where I found the cumin a bit overpowering. I look forward to returning on my next visit to Nottingham.
