Very poor quality of food, oily and fries were not even cooked properly, pita bread was hard and smelling weird. Even if it's cheap fries should have been cooked properly

Had lunch here, ordered fish, chips and mushy peas, the fish was small but it stated this on the menu, it was lovely and just the right amount of food.

Ok. Big fish is like a shark, small fish is just a few bites long, so next time I go I'm having the medium fish. With size out the way, the fish and chips are fantastic in both taste and quality. Service is great and you can eat outside or take it away. Prices are the best. Overall, the best chippy in the town center. Well recommended.

I am sorry to say, I was less than impressed with this place. I had a large fish and chips with mushy peas. This was a let down and was nothing to shout about. But to put insult too this was when the staff started to smoke whilst I was eating (both vap and cigarette).

Great mini fish and chips with a choice of sauces, the staff are so welcoming and happy to see old regulars as well as new customers.

Wasn’t given what I asked for, and it tasted horrid and made me feel sick.

Not my first time eating here, I've always liked this chip shop. They do special offers and when it's good weather there is some outside seating.

They are telling truth when they say small fish. The wooden fork was bigger than the fish! I know it's only £5 but they shouldn't call it fish and chips, should be chips with a hint of fish. The miniscule portion of fish was really ridiculous. The chips were undercooked as well and had a raw taste to them.

Very good, tasty food at a very reasonable price. Great portions and great value. Lovely staff too. Highly recommend.

Been coming here since 2021 and their service and environment has consistently been welcoming! The staff are incredibly friendly and always down for a good chat. They're the only place I go to for fish and chips (and I bring my friends here too!) very budget friendly and would always recommend them :)

Excellent quality food at reasonable prices. Lunch time menu worth a look too as far cheaper than other chippys in town. Portions not huge but still good value nonetheless. Also some outside space to sit and eat if you need it Would recommend.

Fantastic little chippy, loads of different options all at amazing prices, especially if you got for a lunchtime special. Lovely seating area outside where they serve your food on a plate with cutlery. 5 star hygiene rating, staff are super friendly too! What's not to like?

Tucked along this little street is this cosy fish and chips place. Just a good location for a stop to refuel after visiting the Nottingham castle. There is ample seating outdoor. Menu includes different fish sizes with chips and various sauses according to one's taste and mushy peas. The price starts at £5.50 for the small set. The chips serving is very generous. It is chewy and well cooked. The fish is above average with crispy batter. There are also burgers and kebab available. Give it a try if you're there!

The food here is very reasonably priced and is actually very nice, particularly their cheeseburger and chips, costing only £5 for a meal (cheeseburger + chips + drink)

Best chippy in Nottingham Town centre I go 2 times a week and everything is nice from portion sizes to taste of food.

I was in Nottingham for 2 days in October, was unfamiliar with all the other food places so went here on both days. Did NOT regret it ! Friday night was a wonderful double cheeseburger, chips, and what I thought was a churro; while Saturday night was the doner kebab, which was also excellent!! Only regret was not getting to try the fish supper, the main selling point, as wasn't in town long enough. Will be returning here if ever over this way again !

I had a kebab and a burger chips for takeaway, the kebab meat and also the burger meat was so dark and tastes disgusting, not sure what meat was it maybe dog. I payed over 15 pound and the whole thing(can't call it food) end up in the been. It's a NO for me.

This is my second time here, I thought I will give you another chance, but unfortunately it’s the same. Chips are horribly undercooked, more fat than fish, it’s literally dripping out of it. Can’t recommend this place, unless you like food like this.

How to travel to the United Kingdom without eating fish and chips? This one is excellent, the welcome is warm and the food is good.

Everytime me and my friends go, we’re always satisfied. It’s become a habit to buy from here after a long day and the way they make their burgers and kebab wraps r top tier. Employees are very friendly and nothing to complain about man. 5 stars.

The freshness of the salad was particularly good on the 2 days I have eaten there. Compared to similar places that alone makes me more inclined to eat here over similar takeaways. The food in general is great value too.

Very nice fish and chips, super fresh. The only thing stopping me giving 5 stars was the mushy peas which were very watery, very little peas and no taste. It’s like they were watered down! The curry sauce also had no flavour. I hope the owners read my review and make the necessary changes. I will visit again soon and post another review. 🙂

The fish was so succulent surrounded by a light batter and chips fluffy with little oil. We dipped chips in mushy peas. Yummy !!

A very good fish and chip shop tucked away just off Nottinghams Old Market Square. The food and service first class, staff are polite. Service is quick. I cannot rate this place high enough. Visited 5.9.2022, and in light of everything else in this country, there as been a moderate, but fair, increase in prices still great value for money.

People say that British food is terrible. It could be that I'm easily satisfied but this one is actually decent. Medium fish and chips is quite big a portion.

Having grown up by the seaside and having moved "up north" I can tell you that decent fish and chips are very hard to find. Finally after living here for years Nottingham City centre finally has a proper place to buy fish and chips. The best is modern and very clean. The service is quick and efficient and the price is very reasonable.

Love this place. I found this following a shopping trip in town with 2 kids in tow, usually they’re up for Maccys but I stood firm and decided to get them something better, well I’m more than pleased. Not only is the food amazing they staff are friendly and very helpful, my new favourite town chippy and there’s dining outside 😊

This chippie is soooo nice. It's the best chippie an the top end of Old Market Square, infact it's the only chippy up that end! It's definitely worth a visit. I try to get my Friday fish supper there when I can. It's always fresh out the fryer that's why I've gave 5 stars - I'd give more if I could 🎃

Good value for money and a proper local, authentic "fish and chips" experience. Fresh and hot. Quite tasty and the portions are actually huge, so be prepared to get stuffed for the rest of the day if you fancy being fit. The chips are mostly soft, but some of them are also crispy, the mushy peas sauce is thick, the battered fish is delicious. All seasoned with salt and vinegar upon request. If you visit Nottinghamshire for a couple of days, this is by far in the top 10 places to out eat. Great location too, on the city's main pedestrian street with loads of pubs and clubs around. Open until 2 AM Sunday.
