Ordered butter chicken, king fish curry, lamb kottu. Food was delicious and portions were generous. Friendly staff. Spice can be adjusted to match preference if asked for.

We tried seabass pollichad and paal porotta.it was very tasty and highly recommended this place

Excellent food, staff were nice! Service was quite slow (I think it was around an hour before we got our mains), and the menu could have done with a bit more information to explain some more unusual dishes. The atmosphere was not great - the seating was mostly empty but with a family with young children, lots of deliveroo drivers popping in and out etc., there was intermittent loud noise. It is situated on the main road, and so parking is limited.

The Chatti chor was from was really good! Highly recommend!! We also tried fish kappa which also soo good !!

Food was really nice and it was served hot and spicy. The staffs were friendly and served food without making delay. The prices were less affordable,it is one of the best south Indian restaurant in Nottingham ,i recommend people to visit this restaurant.

Wrong order sent! I refused to accept. I rang restaurant to complain and they are claiming that food will be resent. Let us await developments. Two hours later the restaurant re-sent me the proper food order. This time they bypassed Uber Eats whose fault it was in the first place that their courier totally mishandled my order. The food was excellent: piping hot, tasty, authentic.

Ordered a masala dosa and it was combo blend of crispy, golden-brown and mix of spiced potato filling. The combination of these spices was just right, making it a satisfying and tasty meal.

Bank Hoilday Monday around 7pm table for two, chicken rogan & jalfrezi, pilau rice & garlic naan food was very tasty 😋 total bill with mango lassi £27 piad via contactless.

The food and service were lovely, but the restaurant was freezing cold. Even sitting next to the radiator didn't help much. The layout of the restaurant is also a bit odd, where we walked by the open food preparation area to get to the seating. All in all, I would go again but not if I wanted a proper sit in meal, feels too take away like.

Nice place to have Kerala style food. We ordered for a take away but there is a decent size place for dine in. Curries and beef fry was good but Porota was not up to the mark, the chicken biriyani was very good. Edit: Visited recently and the food has definitely improved a lot. We had Kerala Porota, beef fry, chicken kondattam and appam. All the dishes were really good especially the Porota.

Not even one star I could give...ordered a food recently..they delivery guy has delivered it somewhere checking the address in Google ...I was surprised how come a delivery guy can use Google when the address is given clearly and he dint even attempt to give a call ...it was delivered elsewhere...nd when called to that place ,they r telling did nt receive any food from delivery person...don't know what was wrong..Hence, we dint even receive the food nd also the refund..when called to Cochin fort just easily they r telling not sure what was wrong nd dint even bother about the undelivered food even after shouting on them...Not even one star can be given...sorry...

Greatly disappointed with the fish curry as it was unbearably hot and had NO coconut milk. I phoned the restaurant and they just said I had to ASK for coconut milk- when that’s an integral part of the recipe for Kerala fish curry in coconut milk. Pity. I’ll not be ordering again as I can’t trust the description or the actual dish delivered.

Excellent taste and quality. Ordered masala dosa and kotthu parota. Dosa was the best I've had in Nottingham and is way better than dosawala. Could get the taste of all spices and good to say that it's authentic Indian food. Will definitely visit again!!

Food was really good. would recommend the dosa's! Only downside was, it took way too long for a dosa and poori to be served and even after, had no staff to bill us and had to wait. Reasonably prices and nice little eat in location. Went second time. Waiting time was minimal. Very good service. Kothu beef porrota and idili. Good quantity and food.

Excellent food If you are looking for kerala food, I would recommend this place.. We tried kallappam kebab chicken biriyani , pepper chicken and chicken kondattam . All items were delicious and spicy… Highly recommended for those who love kerala foods…

Freshly cooked and nicely served

It's a small cozy place. I ordered a Masala Dosa and I really enjoyed it! Then I ordered a Lamb Biryani for parcel which was to an extent good. The meat in the Biryani should be very soft/ melting in ur mouth, which this Biryani lacked. Service was OK as they prioritized online orders first rather than serving who is sitting in their restaurant to eat. I waited for 25 minutes for a Masala Dosa and another 30 minutes for my parcel.

Never again. Chicken so dry & only 4 pieces for the price, cold aswell, pretty ordered, got it at nearly 2hrs later. Bad

Mostly average taste, portions, price (I'm not local though). Tried a bunch of dishes for delivery, including the prawn, tikka masala, briyani, beef fry, garlic naan, and what I think was a parootha chicken. Liked the prawn and the tikka masala (which was chicken) the most out of these, others liked the kothu parootha (which is not roti prata, for those wondering). Overall thought this was ok? Some portions seemed small but I wasn't the one paying so unsure if it's value for money.

Food that reminds me of home. What else can I say?

Lovely little gem. I had the lamb madras and was very impressed, good portion sizes and reasonably priced. Menu is also extensive and they even threw in a free starter whilst we waited for the food. Great service too

Yum! Food is great. Moving from London last year and after a year of lockdown missed my Sri Lankan food. Finding these guys was awesome. 4 stars because the Appam (milk hopper) was not great, as a massive fan of Appam it’s the one thing I won’t order from here. Otherwise so glad I finally found a Sri Lankan place for my Kottu fix !

Extremely disappointing. I ordered from here on Uber Eats tonight. The delivery took an hour longer than the delivery time provided. The food at the end of the long wait was utterly disappointing because it was tasteless, oily and cold.

If you want to try nice South Indian food in Nottingham, you must visit Cochin fort.. Nice staff and great service.. U must try Avoli polichadhu.. The Best of all dishes... Give your support and have a try.. You will enjoy it.. They do have Free home delivery for certain radius from their shop.. For now , due to COVID dine in is not allowed, and take away only available.. Packing is very good and safe.. MUST MUST MUST try.... :)

Very greasy, poor quality, tasteless food. This place used to be outstanding but it's gone downhill recently. After two bad experiences a while ago we thought we'd give it another chance, but unfortunately it's still terrible. We won't be ordering from here again. Such a shame, it used to be our favourite takeaway.

Cochin Fort, another restaurant named after a city in South West of India, trying to serve authentic food. I have tried their food twice and the taste of the food is not consistent. The restaurant does serve Sri Lankans food as well, but I don't understand why would they name their outlet Cochin and serve Sri Lankans cuisine. The Sri Lankans dishes never tasted the same and kudos to their Malabar Biriyani. If they try to maintain a consistent taste this will be one among the best takeaways to serve South Indian cuisine.

Authentic Kerala biriyani, especially the Lamb biriyani. They do amazing Sri Lankan dishes, like the Sri Lankan fried rice, koththu, devil curry and paal appam. Very friendly service. The tastes good all the time. Would highly recommend.

Best curry I’ve had in ages. Ordered as a takeaway from Just Eat and it was really tasty. It had the right level of heat and was perfect for the whole family. It also arrived bang on time. Will definitely be ordering again.
