I had a wonderful experience at Cochin Fort in Nottingham. The food was delicious, fresh, and full of authentic South Indian flavors. The menu had a great variety, and everything we tried was well-prepared and flavorful. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, making it a great place to dine. A special mention to Kiran, who provided excellent customer service. He was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had a great experience. It was a pleasant surprise to all us who expected another "Indian" Restaurant in the East Midlands. Cochin Fort brings a piece of Kerala with it to Nottingham. The smells and tastes all reminiscent of a wayside eatery you may come across in Kerala. Made to feel right at home by welcoming staff ...The food is mouthwatering and doesn't break your purse.The staff even gave pointers to places of Interest in Nottingham (Greatly appreciated by those of us who came from a little way off) Will definitely recommend, and will definitely revisit.

A hidden gem serving authentic South Indian food! We started with their rasam and chicken lollipops, both packed with bold, delicious flavors. For mains, we had chatti choru, kizhi parota, and chicken fried rice, each dish was fresh, aromatic, and cooked to perfection. And don’t leave without trying their Sharjah shake! If you love tea and coffee, their Indian style coffee and chai masala are a must try. The service was outstanding, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. A special mention to Kiran, who made our experience even more enjoyable with his friendly and attentive service. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely be back to explore more of their amazing menu!

Ordered a meal From this restaurant on a just eat app, it took the 1.30mins to get the food delivered. Just eat give you an ETD these guys mark the food as delivered and take forever to get the food. Also when the food arrived it was cold.

Had lunch with my friend on our way to Nottingham. Friendly staff ordered food and we got special kuthu porota with milk. It was delicious. They provide a lot of Kerala food and hence focus on the malayalee community in Nottingham. The parking was difficult to find as they only have street parking. Otherwise, the overall experience was excellent. They even took the names for Lucky draw for a trip to Turkey? On behalf of their anniversary

Beautiful authentic South Indian food with wonderful flavours and decently priced. Went with a friend and for starters we ordered mutton rolls which is a must try along with kingfish tawa fry, such good quality fish spiced with the right amount so it doesn’t mask the flavour of the fish- the mutton rolls were filled generously and crispy on the outside. For mains we had beef fry with parotta, definitely a highlight of the mains, such tender chunks of beef in a dry masala and perfect with a spritz of fresh lemon paired perfectly with a flaky malabar parotta and a refreshing zingy and sweet lemon and mint drink to wash it all down and cleanse your palette- will visit again!! All this came to £26 per person such a fair price for the amazing quality and amount of food we got

I had high expectations based on the reviews, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The service was slow, and the staff seemed unorganized, and a couple of dishes were served cold. While the ambience was pleasant, it didn't make up for the overall experience.

Overpriced for the quantity and quality served. The environment wasnt great. Other tables were left with the food plates and left over food not cleared, through out the time we were there. So was very suffocating with the food smell through out while we had food. First time we saw the tables not cleaned and cleared even an hour after customers who used them left. Not at all professional.

We had our work Christmas lunch here and it was delicious! Great atmosphere, fantastic food. Took quite a long time to come out, but it was worth the wait. Got beer from a shop nearby, the mango lassi was great and the masala dosa a show stopper! Highly recommended.

What an amazing restaurant specialising in South Indian 🇮🇳 Cuisine. Lovely selection of dosa, biryani, fish and meat curries.

Located on the Alferton Road, Cochin Fort is an Indian restaurant that offers authentic Kerala cuisine. We parked at one of the adjacent streets. The staff were friendly and service prompt. The menu has an excellent spread of cuisine from the South Indian state of Kerala, particularly known for its seafood and use of coconut. All the dishes we ordered were excellent and definitely value for money. I would recommend this place based on the quality of food to all aficionados of Kerala cuisine and people who haven't tried this before for the unique and distinct flavours of this cuisine.

My go-to Indian takeaway for authentic South Indian cuisine in Nottingham. Biryani and Masala Dosa are both a speciality which I would highly recommend from this restaurant.

Disappointing Experience with My Biriyani Order Last night(14/10/2024) I ordered biriyani from your restaurant,(Cochin fort)and I must say, I’m extremely disappointed with the experience. The portion size was shockingly small for the price I paid. The biriyani was served in a very small box, which felt more like a snack-sized serving rather than a meal. Given the high price, I expected a lot more in terms of quantity. This is not what I expected when ordering from a reputed restaurant like yours. Please address this issue, as it feels unfair to charge so much for such a small portion. I hope you reconsider your portion sizes to better match the pricing.

We had a fantastic dining experience! The food was excellent, with the Chilli Paneer being a real standout—deliciously flavorful. The Masala Dosa was also a delight, nice and crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside, just like you get in India. The service was great, and Kiran, our server, was incredibly friendly and attentive. I had some special dietary requirements, and they were fulfilled perfectly, which I truly appreciated. The only small feedback would be to add a bit more flavor to the Sambar, but everything else was spot on. Highly recommended!

The place used to be good. I used to go there regularly. However after the shop extension, the price went up phenomenally and customer service is not up to par.

Ordered butter chicken, king fish curry, lamb kottu. Food was delicious and portions were generous. Friendly staff. Spice can be adjusted to match preference if asked for.
