I went to Tilt for the first time last weekend for my partners birthday and thought it was absolutely outstanding. The bar had excellent ambiance with care and thought put into the lighting, decor, and music (both in style and volume.) Front of house Ollie was both professional and lovely; providing us with some excellent recommendations. The drinks were exceptionally made and perfectly priced. I particularly enjoyed their choice of glassware; which really elevated the drinks. The Dark Horse was a stand out for me and really is the best espresso Martini style drink I've ever had. I could not recommend this place enough.

Me and my partner visited last weekend and we were very much pleased with our time at tilt. The atmosphere is so cosy and relaxing. The staff working that night were impeccable and the service overall was fantastic. The drinks are reasonably priced and very well made. I look forward to coming again in the future.

Atmosphere is super calm and cosy. A very nice place indeed. I love the cocktails. Well made, good variety, good price for how nice the drinks are. The staff provided free snacks (popcorn and mini pretzels) which was a nice touch. I put food at , 3 stars as I have never eaten here but I have heard it is good and I was very impressed with the free snacks so that alone got the 3 from me.

Amazing drink, amazing atmosphere and amazing staff. Menu is compact, which I was thankful for as I’m no cocktail connoisseur and didn’t want to spend ages reading through a menu. I got the “Name please” (I think?) cocktail and my partner got the “Black and white”cocktail. Both of them were amazing—probably of the best I’ve ever had. Staff provided some pretzels and popcorn with the drink, which was a nice touch. Can’t wait to go back and try more!

Really good atmosphere, free iced tea was amazing and the drinks were really nice. Had a great time and staff were friendly and helpful.

Tyla was an amazing server and made our night special, making accommodations to allow our large group to sit on the top floor together.

Workers made us feel uneasy, awkward atmosphere, drinks not worth the price, just wouldn’t recommend.

Great range of cocktails and drinks, service was excellent, and servers were very knowledgeable. Lovely, relaxed atmosphere, background music was subtle enough to allow decent conversation.

Was excited to visit this cocktail bar after reading through lots of different places it sounded like my type of vibe. Quite dark, candles on the tables and soul music looked a really good cocktail jaunt so in that respect the aesthetic in the Venue is really good. Service was really good a decent level of attentiveness and didn't have to wait long for our cocktails to come and it was quite busy also. Lastly of course the cocktails themselves were superb. Just struck lucky that is was old fashioned week and I had two different old fashioneds both of which were 2 of the best I have had in many cocktails bars. I will take others if I visit again for sure.

Love tilt. It's very nice in here, occasionally a loud group can ruin the atmosphere as it's very small but that's nothing to do with the place it's self. The cocktails are all delicious and the complementary bar snacks are a great touch, the guys are all really polite and cool, also.

Cocktails are incredible, £11/12ish. Complimentary Ice Tea, Yum 😋 and Popcorn and Pretzels. Music a little, meh!

Wow!! Great place- top notch cocktails, great team - really nice touches!

Used to be arguably the best cocktail place in the country. Not sure when it happened but, it seems to be under new ownership. The menu is now tiny and very limited. They will make drinks if you ask but the quality is not even close to how it once was. What was once a delicious thick creamy and natural tasting Pina Colada now feels like it came from a slushy machine (I think it did) Actually quite sad how worse it is. It's not TERRIBLE but it's nothing special now.

First time visiting. Meeting friends for drinks. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Ice tea and pretzels are a nice touch too. Will be visiting again soon

Tilt has quickly become one of my favorite places in notts for a drink, a relax and a vibe. The atmosphere is excellent, the team at Tilt are very friendly and their latest menu refresh is exceptional. Id particularly recommend this place for their non alcoholic drinks, Tilt has been the best sober drinking experience I've had since giving up alcohol. Their low/no alcohol mixed drinks are given just as much care as their cocktails. Definitely check this place out.

It is a dark time for the Rebellion. Although the Death Star has been destroyed, Imperial troops have driven the Rebel forces from their hidden base and pursued them across the galaxy. Evading the dreaded Imperial Starfleet, a group of freedom fighters led by Luke Skywalker has established a new secret base on the remote ice world of Hoth. The snacks and cocktails are both great in flavour and price. (Vegan cocktails too)

Decent cocktail bar in the middle of town. They offer a nice mix of standard cocktails and they own twists. I sought advice and I have to say they hit the mark with each that I tried

Cozy, hidden city centre spot which I really enjoy going to for a drink or two. Menu has changed for slightly less interesting drinks since I first went, but still a fantastic vibe and great friendly service.

Lovely atmosphere and really great knowledgeable staff. The happy hour deal is a no-brainer when looking for good cocktails in the city center. Complimentary snacks and a soft drink on arrival is really great too.

The new bar is a little monolithic and overbearing (I liked it where it was, but I think that's driven by nostalgia from the old Cookie Club days) and clumsily overlaps the historic fireplace, however this has opened up the space quite a bit, making it a pleasant and interesting space to spend time in. Staff are super.

Tilt is one of those bars that you return to everytime you come to Notts and is the first place you think of when some suggests drinks. It's cozy and welcoming and the staff are experts, they'll always try to make room for you.

We love Tilt. We always used to visit when we lived in town, but haven't been for a while. Love the layout of the bar now, it feels much more spacious. The staff there are great too! Cocktails are amazing.

Very nice and well priced cocktails for Nottingham

This place is an OG venue for me. It’s cool, it’s sexy and it got great cocktails. I only ever order an Old Fashion but it’s the best I’ve had. The only problem is that it used to be way better. They seem to have limited access to the top floor which in the past would have guys on dialling guitars giving out some proper nice rustic American mid west course try vibes. However, they seem to have done away with that. I’m not sure what their plan is for that space but come on guys get the guitars back.

Quite pricey, with an eerie atmosphere. The drink I had was very strong, to the point where it just wasn’t pleasant and I spent £9 to have two sips of my cocktail.

My favourite cocktail bar - and I have been to a few! The team, headed by Tahlia are super friendly, love chatting with the clientele (or maybe they were just humouring me) and if there is a cocktail that isn't on the list, they know how to make it and make it perfectly! That's not to say their own cocktails are substandard - anything but! The team have really good taste and know how to come up with novel drinks that are sublime. You have to visit - but please not all at once - it's not a huge bar, and I want a seat!

Cute bar in Notts with a good choice of cocktails. Staff are friendly and if you go during happy hour there’s some good deals.

Told us it was closed when it was quite obviously open. Apparently they are very picky with their clients.

Apparently wrong clientele. Bouncers make claim that closed a couple of hours earlier, despite obviously being open. Disappointed.

Great vibes! I love this place and consider myself to be a regular. It is amazing for all ages (even those on the older scale, like myself!), the eye candy behind the bar deserves a review in itself, even my husband agrees! I want to specifically mention the front of house Dan who always makes us feel like family, I wish I could adopt him or be his cougar as he is so special.

One of the best cocktail bars in Nottingham. Music is at the right volume and good selection. Try a chilli dipper martini- honestly the finest alcoholic thing I've tasted.

Love this place, only a small place but offers great cocktails with a good atmosphere with music playing but in the background so you can all communicate with your company, the place does seems to be unknown as I've always managed to get a seat when going might be a little off the beaten track but well worth the visit

I like quirky cocktails and off the wall malarkey as much as the next person. I liked tilt because it is a little bar and because the Sir Bullion cocktail was one of the very finest I've ever tasted. Considered and executed perfectly in choice and proportions, an absolute treat.

Nice cocktail bar in Nottingham. Unfortunately I had an incident with the one of the staff members who informed my friends and I that this was our last round. His reasons were that we were too loud. We were shocked that in a bar playing music, there is such a thing as being too loud. And when we went to speak to this staff member he quickly took it back and apologised. Poor service and clearly not valuing the customers. Although I think this was one person with poor judgement, it ruined it.

One of my favourite cocktail bars in Nottingham. First time back since restrictions have eased and it was an easy process finding a table. Drinks are just out of this world. Can't wait to go back.

I really like Tilt and think they have a good choice of cocktails but don't take anyone that's into real ale or you'll never hear the end of it! Cute layout as well, but be careful going up and down the stairs if you've had a few drinks as they're a bit of a trip hazard if you're 3 sheets to the wind!

Tilt is easily the best cocktail bar in Nottingham. Be ready for them to teach you what makes a good cocktail no matter what your preconceptions may be.

Brilliant cocktails. Really recommend the Beekeeper or the Broke After Eight.

Nowhere near enough seating now that the upstairs has turned in to a super-hip bespoke eatery.

This review is on the restaurant section. Excellent friendly service in a pleasant original setting. However, the premises are exposed to the kitchen and we were left with a heavy fry smell in our clothes. Food was very well presented and above average but nothing exceptional. I would recommend the place for its unique experience but I don't think we'll be going again. Value for money is good if you're there for the experience; rather bad value if you're there for the food.

Nice and good offers on wednesday evening on cocktails

A hidden GEM and great concept of a small restaurant based around ingredients and not a menu. Definately worth experiencing - it's all about the unknown surprise delivered for you to eat.

Myself and a friend recently visited Sample and had a great experience. The restaurant itself is quaint, warm and cosy with dim lighting, and is decorated with dried and home pickled ingredients that the chefs use in their dishes. The menu is a interesting concept, with two variations for each ingredient on the blackboard. The ingredients are locally sourced and change with the seasons, so you'll never get bored if dining here frequently. Upon arrival, we were greeted and given some fresh baked lemon and turmeric foccacia with olive oil that was delicious, so much that we asked for seconds. The concept of the menu and the ingredients were well explained to us by our server before ordering. The food portions are well presented Michelin style portions, with each dish explained to us by our server. Some dishes that stood out were the fried bream with Japanese sauce, bean balls with pickled onions and a basil emulsion, and duck with mango salsa and pomegranate. The posh rendition of "beans and toast" - sourdough with borletti beans, tomatoes served with black pudding and truffle butter, was a favourite of mine and somewhat nostalgic. We ate around 14 courses each and were both stuffed by the end of the evening. At just £24.99 per person this was a great value for money experience and we look forward to returning in the near future.

Not cheap but you pay for quality. Friendly, classy and delicious. A favourite for a date with the wife.

Great concept for tapas, which is based on choosing an ingredient and the chefs make one of two options. £25pp and it's eat as much as you like, so definitely good value!
