Best Asian restaurant I've ever visited. The food was just perfect! Prices were very good for the portion size and quality. The owners were lovely and very welcoming. Will definitely eat here again if we are in the area.

Food was okay but on the salty side and the lady who served me seems bit rude and I wasn’t aware that I need to go to the counter to take my food and she started repeating my order number louder and louder. Definitely won’t come back again

I had the braised beef, rice and veg and my friend had the bibimbap which was made accustomed to her being veggie she had tofu instead of beef. The food was amazing, healthy, filling and worth the price. I will definitely be back for more! The restaurant was quite and relaxing and staff were sweet! I didn’t get a picture of my food but my friend did. We are going to make this our spot for catch ups!

Such relaxed vibes here and very filling, wholesome and authentic food. The house rice and chicken noodles are very yummy. The dumplings are the best I’ve had - and a whole plate was such good value. Recommend the snow pear drink. Great prices!

It was a lovely dinner with my friend but many where what we didn't expect and we felt a bit let down

everyone serving was suuuuper nice, and the food was amazing! It also has a homey feeling to it that makes it even better

Tasnack is a exceptional and authentic Chinese restaurant. The owners are wonderfully kind and the staff very helpful. The food is absolutely divine for anyone who loves authentic Chinese food. But for those not brave enough, there are also more English-chinese options. We've been three times now and each time I've gotten the Mala xiang guo, which always leaves me feeling full and very happy with my life choices! Will constantly keep going back! The owners are absolutely lovely and the food is delicious. We were served quickly, portions were very generous, and the beef was really tender. All that for a cheap price. I definitely recommend and will come again!

Enjoyed my first Malatang here. Wide variety of ingredients to choose from and charged by weight. I opted for the dry one and it was so flavourful and umami, got me craving for more another time! Will be back for more Malatang and maybe try more of the menu in the future. Thanks ☺️

Amazing restaurant, home style authentic treat for hotpot at a reasonable price. The couple running it couldn't do enough to help walk us through the decision making. Highly recommend for a low key dining experience .

I can only say that it's sloppy. I ordered takeaway. I don't know the hygiene problem of their canteen, but the moment I lowered my head, I found that there was shredded powder in my meal. I don't know if there was any other garbage in my meal. In short, don't recommend it.

When I got off the bus I noticed the door of your restaurant open and suddenly I fancied some Chinese food for lunch, something quick and easy. I've walked passed so many times thinking I need to check this out, finally did and no regrets. I love the fact that my noodles were freshly prepared in the open kitchen. Thank you!

I ordered food from this restaurant today and after eating the food,I had stomach upset,really bad diarrhea even before I left the place. So I went to them and complained about it, only to be met with plain rudeness from one of the 2 ladies who were in the kitchen, saying that it must have been some other food i ate earlier. I hadn't eaten anything since morning!! She then attempted to bribe me with a bottle of juice which I declined. She also tried to give me another can of coke which i also declined. She then called another lady who i spoke to( the manager as they said,) but even before i finished the conversation, she grabbed the phone and left. Cameras were rolling and I hope this will be looked into because i have since reported the matter. I'm still wondering why this restaurant is still in operation after all the negative reviews I've just read here!

Wow, I have never tasted such terrible Malatang. The ingredients are all smelly and the soup is like boiled water. I left after just two bites. I was afraid of having diarrhea. Only the waiter was nice.

I am a long-time customer and have eaten here many times, so I finally couldn’t help but comment! The variety is rich and the soup base is very fragrant. There are also other snacks in the store, such as rice noodles and various side dishes, which perfectly show the Chinese flavor.

The chicken fried rice is great taste. Big portion; Love it. Will go back again.

The spicy bone soup is very rich and not that exciting. People who are not that intolerant of spicy food can also accept it.

I really liked how cozy this restaurant is, the people that work there are friendly and accommodating. I ordered the chicken soup rice noodles, karokke, and chicken gyoza for the table. Each dish was very delicious, especially the chicken soup rice noodles since it felt like a homemade meal. I also noticed that they had unique drinks like the Viee Peanut drink which I personally really liked.

The lady serving the food was also cooking in the kitchen. She had a cold and and a running nose. She kept coughing and blowing her nose with the same tissue didn't wash her hands. She spit into the same sink she was cooking and washing the vegetables in. She other guy cooking in the kitchen kept running his hands through his hair while cooking. I was there with my mum and she got food poisoning though the night.

The weather is cold~ the hot food is really great. We are pregnant and want to eat Chinese food. We ordered one side, one rice and one dumpling. The handmade dumplings are delicious. I give it full marks, the skin is thin and the filling is delicious! The pickled fish rice noodle soup is thick, not very sour or spicy, and the ingredients are very filling. The fish meat is very tender and slippery. If you want to eat rice noodles, don’t miss it ~ the rice noodles are relatively small. The rice is northeastern rice. I saw the fried rice and fried noodles next to me. The portions are really good. The aunts in the kitchen are very kind. The overall situation is very hygienic and clean. It satisfies my desire to eat hometown cuisine~ There is a discount for cash payment🥰

Me and my partner wandered into this cute and cozy place at around 7 in the evening , after a long day of exploring Nottingham, to find that it was just around the corner from where we was staying the night. The elder lady and gentleman were so welcoming and see to us straight away and made us feel so welcome, after we placed our order the two set out to hand make our food and it was a delightful experience watching the gentleman carve a butterfly from a carrot just to decorate my partners side of rice with his chicken curry (10/10) I ordered the braised beef with rice and i must say I’ll be sad till I’m able to have it again (10/10) both dishes were well worth the price and portions were very filling. We sat and ate our meal and watched the k drama playing on the tv with the two staff. We will definitely be back to eat there the next time we are in Nottingham. Thank you for the meal ❤️

Was such a nice restaurant, very welcoming only thing I would say is our Takoyaki was still frozen on the inside of them. Otherwise a really delicious meal and would definitely come again.

I came to Nottingham and wanted to eat Asian food. I recommend this restaurant. It’s delicious.

Dined in on a weekday, place was quite. They have a simple Chinese menu, all cooked in front you in an open kitchen. It's a family run restaurant and you have a feel of homemade food. Portions are good for one person. We really liked the Korean fried chicken and the friend rice. The friend pork was crispy but hard to chew. Service was fast even though every food was made from scratch. The young lady on the was extremely helpful. The price is moderate, student friendly considering this right in the city center.

The food was absolutely delicious. Only thing what makes me a bit nervous is that A/ although we were eating in we needed to pay up front B/ I’ve ordered 3 dishes and they didn’t come together. Unfortunately it came one each time which was annoying as I have two kids with me and the little one was served as last one. I understand that all has been made freshly and that’s what I appreciate so I am still going to leave 5*

Good malatang, not quite as numbing as some I've tried but that's a good thing for me! They have either malatang or tomato broth to choose from. Other stuff on the menu looked decent and authentic too.

Few chunks of chicken meat swimming in water, some green, some sprouts, no souse no taste, too watery and too salty for more money. And I have to add dirty tables and cutlery as well. We are not gonna go there anymore. Not worthy.

Wasn't clean at all. The food is very weak. They raised the price but reduced the ingredients and taste.

Yum! No nonsense hotpot by the bowl. Very authentic, and reasonably priced. Takes me back to China. 🤓 The fried rice and fried noodles look worth a try too. I’ll be back.

It’s a bit pricy, you pick your ingredients yourself from the fridge, some of the stuff is soaked in water making the price per 100g go up. Would definitely recommend if you’re wanting to try something Chinese and new!

Amazing food! You choose the ingredients you’d like in your hotpot, they weight it, cook it for you and you receive it in a bowl like the one from the photo 😋
