Excellent meal last night. A great Italian restaurant we all had starters, mains and desserts and they were all excellent. Meatballs for starter are super and the tiramisu was fabulous. Great decor inside and the staff were very good. Had another excellent meal tonight. Great choice of pasta, I had monkfish tagliatelle which was great. Staff went above and beyond. Highly recommend.

4 of us ate here on a busy Friday night. Great service great atmosphere and great food. The mussels to start were excellent and a very generous portion. Lasagna again a generous portion. Reasonably priced for the city centre. Will visit again.

Very friendly, top service and top food

I booked well in advanced for a valentines meal. Arrived at the restaurant to find that it was a set menu. Spoke to the waiter who rudely clarified that it was. He informed us that it was advertised everywhere. I explained that we book well in advanced and hadn’t seen anything on the website at the time. We didn’t like the look of anything from the set menu so explained that we would have to leave. This is completely fine, it was an honest mistake. However, the waiter was so rude. He pulled a face and shrugged his shoulders. We then had to find another restaurant on Valentine’s Day which was quite difficult. Horrible staff!

Took my partner out for a birthday meal and the experience was shocking. When ordering the pasta I requested to add some extra mozzarella in the dish which he basically said no it didn’t need any which I think is quite silly, if a customer has a request with the dish I don’t understand how a waiter can just decline that request. After receiving the dish, my partners pasta was undercooked. Not a single waiter asked us throughout the meal “how was your meal tonight?” After a good 20 mins I told the waiter who had taken out order to begin with that it was undercooked and he had the audacity to argue and tell us it was about “preference” and how no one else had complained about their dish that night. He was very arrogant and rude. Very disappointed with the customer service and awful pasta dish they served. It was a shame because my dish, the crab linguine, was actually quite nice wasn’t undercooked and tasted great but never going back after the awful experience with the waiter and how he treated my partner. I don’t often leave bad reviews for places but this was by far the worst experience I’ve had.

Went here for my fiancé’s 30th birthday last night and it didn’t disappoint! Great service from when we arrived, the food was stunning, and they gave us complimentary birthday shots which was a lovely touch. I would highly recommend their pork! Thank you for a lovely evening, we will definitely be returning!

We booked for 7:30 and were seated straight away, service was lovely and attentive, pored the wine for us! It was my boyfriend’s 21st birthday and even though he was too full they brought out a dessert anyway with a candle which was so sweet. Thankyou so much to the staff and the chefs. We will definitely be back!

Booked for my cousin's birthday meal.. upon arrival we were seated at a 4 person table (with a party of 5) so we politely asked to be moved to a bigger table whilst we were waiting for one more person to arrive. This caused a massive debate about how they've got 250 people booked in for that night and they can only sit us on a booth if there are 6 of us - there was a PARTY OF 5 sat in one of the booths as he was saying this! He said we should have rang and booked which I then argued that I did actually ring and book and I was the one that he spoke to over the phone the night before to confirm it! We then came to find that the other person we were waiting for had been seated at our original table (in a booth!) for a good 30 minutes whilst we were talking with the waiter. The waiter was very rude, they did not seem accommodating or welcoming at all. I understand they may be stressed by the amount of people in the restaurant but don't take so many on if you can't handle it! We then asked if we could go to the booth that they'd seated our friend in (clearly our original table that we had booked and there was a big misunderstanding) The man got his manager who left with a hump and came back a few minutes later and said "Go on, have the table!" We had been waiting for a good 30 minutes before having a drink and a good 45 minutes before having our food orders taken... The service was really disappointing and we felt that the staff that dealt with us there were very rude... (Francesco who served us in the end was lovely and apologetic!) We paid the £25 service charge to save the hassle but we will unfortunately not be returning. The next morning (today) 3/5 of us have been throwing up and on the toilet constantly! Not a good sign!

The experience at this Italian restaurant was absolutely fantastic! I visited around 8 p.m. and was pleased to find no waiting time. The service was impressively swift, with the staff being exceptionally friendly, attentive, and efficient. I enjoyed crab linguine, spaghetti with meatballs, mussels in tomato sauce, and a seafood platter and panna cotta—all of which were bursting with authentic flavors and perfectly cooked. The crab linguine was rich and indulgent, the meatballs were tender and well-seasoned, and the mussels had the perfect balance of freshness and tanginess in the tomato sauce. The seafood platter was a great, offering a delightful variety of fresh seafood - although a spice up in the batter or different sauces would be amazing. The restaurant’s warm and inviting ambience tied the entire experience together seamlessly, making it one of the best Italian dining experiences I’ve had.

We went to celebrate my brother’s birthday and we had an amazing time. It wasn’t the first time we visit the restaurant and as always they didn’t disappoint us with anything! The food was very delicious and very well presented, the atmosphere was very pleasant and the service was great. The staff were very kind and served our desserts singing the “Happy Birthday” song to my brother. Thank you for the great service and see you again soon!

Superb Italian food, the best we have had for more than 20 years. Prompt service from polite, attentive service staff, and that includes some very fine restaurants. This is a busy, main street, bistro that nevertheless delivers fantastic food. The drinks selection is below expectation, but that isn't for review.

Stupendous. Randomly picked this place when searching 'Italian' on a family Nottingham trip, everything was delicious! Top tier tagliatelle anatra with a great tiramisu and a super creamy cheesecake. Fast service, excellent decor and lovely 50s music playing throughout the night. Big portions for the food too. Tastes like each meal could be double the price. 10/10.

We went as a party of 8 for our Christmas meal and had a brilliant experience. Service, considering how busy it was went without a hitch, the food was delicious and really generous portions and the general atmosphere was great.

Our first time here, but not our last. I booked for a group of 11 people on Sunday 22nd December. The day before the restaurant called me to confirm the booking, which was reassuring as they'd not taken a deposit. We wanted an alternative to the traditional Christmas meal, as it was for my husbands birthday. Even though we were a party of 11, we didn't pre-order our choices. An extensive menu. The staff were all friendly and were helpful when asked to adapt the dish to suit. All food was served together. We all had an enjoyable afternoon and will definitely return. Thank-you

The guy who was front of house showing guest to tables was extremely rude. My partner asked for a table for 2 upon he sat ddown and served a couple behind which appeared they were regulars. Our group ate from the fixed price menu and a la carte. All food absolutely stunning with excellent service and ambience. Overall, great value for money and would highly recommend. Our waiter also suggested the Grillo feudo arancio white wine, delicious!

There are no words to describe this fabulous eatery! The best Italian I have ever been to ( and I've been to a few!) Amazing food, fabulous staff! Really rate it and will be back- sadly I don't live in Nottingham but visit relatives.

I had my birthday meal with my friends booked for 8 people. An older man was our waiter, extremely rude and arrogant. Also smelled very bad, very unhygienic. We spent the meal listening to his very out of place and unnecessary “jokes”. He thought he was funny, but actually was just rude to everyone. Put our moods down the second we sat down. It got to the point where we all started talking back to him, and he didn’t stop. When my cake came out he ASKED FOR SLICES FOR EVERYONE. He also told us how it stained his hands and he had to wash them 3 times. I cut a slice for HIM to try it and he shouted across the restaurant how small the slice was?? I am PAYING for your food and service. I planned to be polite and leave some behind, which I quickly changed my mind about afterwards. I spoke to my friends loudly how I will refuse to pay the service charge because the waiter was nothing but arrogant and stuck up. Please learn how to not ruin people’s parties and how to keep your professionalism. We are not your friends, we’re just customers. I am lucky to be living here and working in hospitality, I will make sure your customers are aware of how your service looks. This was a very special night for me, and this restaurant ruined it.

Dropped in on the off chance on a Friday night but they managed to fit us in as it was early, but it was full all night. Food and service excellent and the fish stew was to die for. Great atmosphere and staff have a good laugh with the customers too. Reasonably priced, there is not much to fault here. Thoroughly recommended.

I've been a couple of times now and I keep coming back because it is 100% the best Italian restaurant in Notts. The food is absolutely delicious, never leave a single scrap on my plate because it's just too good! I highly recommend booking a table if you want to come here, especially during the peak times. I also really enjoy that they play songs from the 50s/60s here too, although it is often so busy and bustling that you might not hear the music too well. The receptionist was very rude for no reason, the waiting staff were great.

Unfortunately the texture of our pasta was very gritty, the taste was still ok. When we spoke to the staff about this, they told us it was normal to have gritty seafood. It was grit in the sauce of the pasta. Instead of apologising, they just said it can’t be helped.

Wow, this place is amazing. The food is exceptional. The ambience was warm and welcoming. The service first class. If I am ever in Nottingham again, this will be the first place I will make a reservation. Thanks to all of the team, you were wonderful!!!

Absolutely fabulous restaurant. Four of us ladies went to the Theatre Royal, and I found Casa on trip advisor., many good reviews, so thought we would give it a go. Everything was superb, the venue the staff and delicious food. Such a shame we had to get the train back to Peterborough or we would have stayed longer. Wish It was open at lunchtimes, Will definitely be visiting again.

Very lovely food! Picked items off the lunch/daytime deal and they had good vegan options. Service was fab, attentive and put a candle on my partner’s dessert for his bday as well as giving us some limoncello on the house which was so sweet of them! Thank you so much.

We celebrated my daughter’s 25th birthday. The staff are so professional and courteous, especially Francesco who was our main waiter. It’s the first time I’ve eaten there and I’ll definitely be going back! The food is exquisite and the atmosphere is amazing! We were 9 altogether and we even had a birthday cake that which we brought with us that we had as our dessert. A fantastic evening out at Casa!!

We enjoyed a superb evening celebrating our wedding anniversary in July. The service was welcoming, extremely helpful with my food intolerance and informed about Italian cuisine. The food was excellent and the best calamari considering we'd just had a week in Calabria. Fabulous Apassimento from Puglia.

Me and my partner come here often usually. However even after having some time away they still acknowledge and remember us when we come back and make us feel welcome on a personal level. I don’t know how they do it but they know what we like to drink, how I like my steak cooked. I used to use the other restaurant Veniza which is also as good however Cassa Is closer to me for travel. So that’s my review on service. The food is also excellent and never disappoints, the best fillet steak I have had is at this location. Overall this is my go to restaurant in the East Midlands for fine dining. Thank you for your service! Andy & Kornelia

Last minute booking best place ever

First visit last weekend. Very welcoming and friendly service. All the food was excellent - mussels, crab ravioli - superb. Great atmosphere, we will definitely be returning!

Wow,what a little gem of a find this place is.6 of us went in for a meal before a kids show at the theatre round the corner and we had the fixed price 2 course for £19.95 and what a bargain it was.i opted for the carbonara and the pannacotta it was absolutely Devine!!!my wife had a bruschetta starter and king prawn linguine which looked amazing and plentiful,we shared a cheesy garlic bread at an extra cost and it was well worth it.we had a couple of cocktails and they were strong and fresh.service was bang on point,polite and friendly.cant wait to come back again probably for a tomahawk to share cos it’s a lovely little place and the food is out this world.top notch

This is my second time here. I was dragged here as it was booked by my daughter. The site in Saxondale is much better I thought, but I've only been in there once and it was many years ago when it first opened. In an Italian restaurant one expects the taste and quality of the food to completely blow your senses. I had the seafood pasta. It wasn't the most generous helping so even though I don't eat much these days I was a bit peckish. I just didn't get the wow factor that I was looking for. We ran up a bill coming to about three hundred pounds so it wasn't cheap but I felt I could have made better at home. Maybe I was too tired or a bit fed up with the intensity of activity last few weeks but the experience was not pleasurable.

Having stumbled across this place, my only regret is not finding it sooner! From start to finish, the service, presentation, and quality of food were exceptional. I say this, even though one of the main courses turned up after everyone had finished theirs. The reason I do, is because of the way it was handled. The servers were extremely quick to apologise and immediately gave our table a complimentary round of drinks (totalling nearly £30). Whilst not ideal, they couldn't have apologised more and ensured we were compensated, without us having to ask....and that's the difference between an average and exceptional restaurant. I can't recommend this place high enough and would recommend anyone give it a try. They've even won the best Italian restaurant in 2024, not that I need any excuses to want to return.

What a lovely friendly place to get a meal. Went whilst visiting Nottingham and were made very welcome. I had crab ravioli and my partner had the meatballs. The only reason for the 4 on food was that he thought them tasty, but a bit dry. Had a really enjoyable evening.

Food was exceptional and the timing of the food was bang on . Our guests was abit l8 arriving and enjoyed there stay and thought there Food was also exceptional. Just 1 or 2 downfalls on what was an exceptional meal . I ordered a Cranberry juice which seemed to be watered doon . 2 was the service charge of nearly £25.00 which was on the bill even tho we got a meal that cost 7 people £244.00 and then youse got a service charge on top . Didn't understand the service charge isn't that there jobs to settle and help the customer !! 8/10
