Maybe the tastiest pizza I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a lot). Couldn’t rave about it enough. Had the Amatriciana and Detroit red stripe with truffle and parmesan dip. Amazing!

I LOVE the food but the service disappointed. Before you rush to any conclusions, the waiters were lovely. They were polite and were really kind to us. I enjoyed their service and found them to be helpful. Whilst I understand that it might be busy, we made a reservation at 8.45 and only got a table at 9.20. I know, this isn’t a travesty by any means but for how good the food was, it was disappointing. It may not have been the staff’s fault and there was a large group in our seats beforehand but nonetheless. The pizza was delicious and genuinely really good. It’s better than Pizzamisu (also in Nottingham). Whilst the selection wasn’t very big, the sauce had good flavour, the toppings tasted fresh and as though they were selected carefully. I really liked the pizza and really do recommend. I thought it might’ve been overcooked at first but after first taste, it was perfect. The drink selection was impressive and again, one that I recommend. Perhaps we just didn’t have the best experience and I might return in the future to double check. The toilets were clean and the restaurant, although small, was accessible.

My favourite pizza in town. Never had a bad one. Love me a vodka pie.

The pizza here was excellent. The highlight has to be the Detroit Red Stripe Pizza which was in unbelievably good - deep pan style with marinara style sauce and loads of crispy cheese crusts. Slightly more expensive than the standard pies but 100% worth. Overall really good value for money. I didn’t have a beer during my visit but there were plenty of good IPA options on the menu including locally brewed specials. Nice to have an alternative to the many Neapolitan pizza restaurants popping up at the min. Couldn’t recommend this place more.

It has been so long since I have tasted a pizza so refined and delicious, it was an absolute pleasure to enjoy this place.

I visited this place as a spot to eat, the food was okay, which I expected, the service on the other hand was absolutely abysmal, I ordered a daiquiri cocktail for 9.50, it came in a 100Ml can which i could not even drink, i then asked for mayonnaise when my food came and the manager said that’s £1 extra I said that is ok the recipt they put it was £2 which I thought was a joke. Sums up my whole experience here, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

Incredible Pizza, top notch authentic ingredients. Great service! One of the best Pizzas I've had. Only recommendation would be to offer a couple of options of wines by the glass as they only offer one for the white (a simple fix). Other than that top notch 👌

Booked for valentines. Had booked table from 5 -6.30. Pizza was black at the edges. My husbands meat was black at the edge it was that badly burnt. Left most of his pizza. Mine was burnt as well only had 6 slices of slami for the price is disgusting. The hot honey was awful just spice and no sweetness to it. Didn't ask if the food was okay or if we needed anything. Then when plates were taken 5 minutes later asked us to leave. When we had another half and hour! No asking about dessert or another drink. Just basically shoved out the door! Will not be going again and telling others not to waste their time. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, MONEY OR TASTEBUDS!

This place was an absolute gem! The pizza was one of the best I've had (definitely best in Notts) it took me straight back to Italy! The staff were super friendly too! Well worth a visit but 100% book first as gets very buy! 😀🍕

Hmm, my pizza was burnt. My boyfriend liked it but I didn't. The base was ok but too thin and the service charge which we weren't aware of .. I didn't see anywhere in the menu that you place a service charge and how much.. one beer, two pizzas and two sauces £45 a bit pricey.

Really good, the only down this place has is that they don’t offer Detroit style pizza on Uber eats.

AVOID AT ALL COST! This was our first time here our first experience in the Brew n Slice. Finally managed to book a table had to wait when we got there for a while. When we was finally shown our table it was over crowded and cramped. I was REALLY looking forward to having the Detroit style pizza the waiter told us there SOLD OUT. He told us to BOOK the pizza in advance I’ve NEVER heard such STUPIDNESS in my whole life. You should NEVER be out of your most popular items that’s ridiculous. That was the pizza me and my bf was looking forward to the most it was very disappointing overall.

By far one of the best pizzas I've ever had and their tiramisu is out of this world. It's quite a small venue but we had no trouble sitting 6 of us with no reservation on a weeknight. The drinks are quite expensive though but it is a niche selection of beers that they sell. But it might be worth them adding a more popular beer on draught as £9 for a bottle of beer is remarkably expensive.

Pizza is amazing however not a large selection of drinks, also the soft drinks are really expensive. Would still recommend if you like thin pizza, staff is also friendly.

Amazing pizza, possibly the best in Notts.

Been wanting to try here for a while and stopped off for lunch today. The staff were so friendly and provided brilliant service throughout the whole meal. We shared a croquette side and had a couple of pizzas which all tasted great, you could tell they had been made fresh to order. The dips were also great would recommend the hot honey as it was spot on. Will definitely return and recommend to others as a great lunch stop to break a shopping day up

After doing the rounds of all of the major pizza restaurants in Nottingham, there is one clear winner of them all. Slice n Brew is a unique and independent outlet serving fantastic quality of pizza, both in terms of ingredients and style. I have visited at least 8 times and never once have I had a dud pie. Combined with the interesting selection of drinks, it makes an unbeatable option when it comes to high-brow pizza locally. The service is brilliant, staffed by passionate young team members such as Sam and Finn who will make you feel truly comfortable and at home. I have been drawn back in every time myself and my partner fancy a proper pizza dining experience. The menu is constantly adopting exciting specials which are always a treat. I would give recommendations on the pizzas, but after exploring near enough the entire menu, every single pie is delicious in its own right. The soppressata, however, is probably our ‘on-repeat’ and will rarely visit without at least one being ordered. I will reiterate - do not fall victim to the chains where quality is undercut by the desire for a more efficient service or higher profit margins. Slice n Brew is unapologetic in its top level quality of food, drink and staffing. Even with exploring the pizza joints in Manchester and Sheffield, Slice n Brew is leagues above in overall experience and atmosphere. Keep doing what you are doing Ryon + team, you have found a system that works incredibly well and I hope you continue to succeed!! 5 stars well deserved. You’ll be seeing us again soon :)

Nice place but a little bit expensive for what they serve

The food and the service is good, however the price is not a match. Got overcharged which I can only presume was due to a service charge, if I knew that I would not have tipped....at the end of the day it's just a pizza.

10% service charge. Water served in filthy decanter. Pizza was great though.

Pizza had a great taste to it with a nice kick. Was a good and thin base pizza. Wish I had order a dip too but mayo was fine with it. Would definite visit again as the taste was great and fresh.

Food was filling, reasonably priced and packed with flavour topped with a nice selection of drinks to choose from. The atmosphere was cosy, with plenty of seating. The staff were friendly and helpful, however the service was quite slow with often times having to ask staff for the same thing twice. But, to reiterate, they were extremely helpful and friendly! Would definitely recommend

I asked locals for a place to have dinner, and several recommended this pizzeria. They also told me that during the lockdown, the owner helped the community and after the success he opened this place, so in addition to the fame of the food, that encouraged me to go to support a local business. When I arrived they were full, I was alone and they were very kind to managed to make room for me. Locals had recommended the vodka pie, but finally I decided on the soppressata salami. I thought it was a very good pizza, and the size for me alone was perfect. I was full, but now I regret not having tried the desserts. I thought the atmosphere was great, the New York style is original, it is a place that I will recommend to my friends who visit the city, since there is also a lot of atmosphere in the area at night and it is a very good location. Many thanks to the team for their kindness and attention.

An excellent Detroit Style Pizza, that was really tasty, well cooked, and something different to try. A great selection of beers and all with great service.

Good pizza but there are better choices in Nottingham. Both Rudy's and Peter Pizzeria do superior pizza in my opinion.

Food was ok, took an age to come. Server was slow, forgot the drinks, then had the audacity to add a service charge. Won't be back.

What can I say other than amazing! I do believe that this is the best pizza I’ve ever eaten. Not only do the sauces and toppings taste fresh and flavourful, but rhetorical crust was outstanding! It was crispy yet not dry or too flaky, and the centre of the base wasn’t soggy. I had the Detroit style pizza and cannot stop thinking about it!

Had a brilliant experience at Slice n Brew, came on a busy Tuesday which is nice to see an independent business succeeding. The service was brilliant from the kitchen staff offering a pint whilst we wait for our table to be free and a friendly front of house staff . Pizza was exactly as described delicious and authentic and would recommend to anyone who wants to try something new and a good date place too. Would recommend the bolognese pizza and the Braybrook beer. Will be back again.

I came here alone for my dinner. I had the table booked for 21:00 but I had managed to wriggle out of my band's post gig booze up early. Upon arrival, the staff were so friendly. Thankfully, there was a table free despite coming early and the staff got me seated. I'm a big Guinness drinker and so I was disappointed to see that Slice N Brew did not sell the brand. However, the waiter politely described to me the beers and ales that they have as well as making some recommendations both from tap and bottle. The beverage that I chose was delicious. I ordered a cheese & tomato pizza and it was fabulous. Despite it being a thin crust, the sauce was delicious the cheese was melted at the perfect temperature and it most certainly filled my stomach. The atmosphere of Slice N Brew was fantastic. The music in the background was relaxing as well as the layout of the venue. It is safe to say that Slice N Brew might have just won their favourite customer, as I will be most definitely be returning. Props to the front of house staff and chef, you guys are doing an amazing job!

Slice 'n' brew has a piece of my heart. Their Detroit pizza is outstanding, and I highly recommend getting it topped with burrata. I've tried many different pizza places in Nottingham, but for me none hold a candle to slice 'n' brew. I don't think their pizza is made in the neapolitan style, but my god is it delicious.

I've been here a few times now, the food's always on point an tastes unique, you have to try their dips, all WOW, staff here are so friendly, love the upstairs decor an the whole vibe of this place :)

Burnt and overly spiced pizzas. I don't like to give negative reviews, but it was really bad. The mortadella, cheese balls and nut starters were fine though. The tables are very narrow and we struggled to have everything on them. The service was fine, but ignored the vegans in the group most of the time. It could be a very good place but the pizzas weren't good. Sorry.

Been looking for a pizza place that can give a more new York feel than the usual neapolitan. And not just the standard New York slice. The proper crispy and charred pizza. Finally found this place. And with the quality ingredients of San marzano tomatoes. This was amazing. Also had the Detroit pizza which was again awesome. My wife who never likes thick pizzas really enjoyed the Detroit as well. My new favourite place! Must try.

Took 30 minutes to put some cheese on bread, was tempted to roll my sleeves up and give them a hand. Staff were quite blunt and awkward. Uber orders are prioritised over life itself. Received a burnt pizza base and had to send out a search party to find the cheese. Fireaway next to victoria bus station is 100 times better. This place is also card-only which should have warned me tbf, I take full responsibility. Just avoid, it's honestly trash

We came to slice n brew for the first time yesterday as a graduation dinner party. We booked as knew it would be busy. The food, atmosphere and drinks did not disappoint. We even made the bold statement that it was the best pizza we have had so far in Nottingham! We will be back

Avoid - much better atmosphere and pizza at rivals such as Pizza Pilgrims or Pizza Punks. The restaurant was swelteringly hot, and the constant people hovering for the one toilet right next to tables where people are eating is really awkward and uncomfortable. The pizzas were ok - nothing special - the gluten free offering was embarrassingly poor when you consider what similar restaurants are managing near by. The beer we’d wanted was out of stock.

Great choice for vegans and vegetarians, nothing generic or mass produced, could have done with a lay down afterwards. Left feeling full and content, can't wait to visit again and try something else new x

The Detroit Style pizza - MY GOD. Try and find a better pizza than this in the UK. I've tried pizza all over the UK and nothing has ever come close to this. Truly amazing, great choice of drinks and lovely staff.

I absolutely loved it! It's been a while since I enjoyed authentic, oven-baked pizza. The crust is wonderfully thin yet held together enough to hold without getting soggy or dripping. The staff were incredibly kind, and our orders arrived quickly, even though the place was nearly full. I will definitely be returning.

NEVER do I write reviews (This is actually my first), but as I’m sat eating the last few slices of both the Detroit & Bologna pizza I requested to take away the more I’m thinking to myself that the level of pizza served at this place is unlike any other I’ve tried in my life. Pizza may seem basic however the freshness of the ingredients and care taken over the freshly made dough really shows. The atmosphere of this place you cannot replicate, I’ve never been served food by waitresses that are so passionate about the food and drinks on offer. The restaurant & kitchen has perfectly grown its own identity and held onto pizza parlour traditions of enjoying great food with friends and family. Service with a big smile! We had arrived quite early for our booking, however we was made comfortable and seated asap. Once seated I asked for a recommendation on what to drink as this place has too much of a good selection to choose. To my surprise our sever bought out a german beer, one that I had drunk for many years but not one I had seen for a long time. I can’t wait to got back, this place has incredible food, incredible service and incredible atmosphere. ~ if you’re eating here make sure you book and let them know you want the Detroit style pizza. It’s very limited so you need to make sure you get down and try it!

This was my first visit here, and I'm pretty sure it won't be our last. The pizza was very well made, and the selection was pretty good. I would recommend it for sure. The drinks selection is pretty good as well, with a great selection to choose from.

Second visit to Slice n Brew today and it was just as good as the first! Personable, next level service, great food and a good selection of beers that the staff were knowledgeable about. I wasn’t drinking but there were a few off-menu low/no alcohol beer options that they pointed out - the Mash Gang was perfect with my pizza! The food was quick and delicious - really well balanced flavours of the toppings, whilst the dough texture was spot on. The thinner crust pizza was lovely and chewy in all the right places, whilst the Detroit ‘deep dish’ looked heavy, but was actually pillowy and light, with the right amount of charred, cheesy goodness on the edge. It could have been the hops, but we were pretty blissed out by the end of the meal! Perfect, non pretentious food and drinks with a laid back atmosphere. Thanks guys!

If you have your own pizza oven this place will leave you pretty disappointed - burnt around the edges and soggy in the middle.

I absolutely hated it. Empty tables but apparently too busy to accept our walk in. Then we saw our friend sitting down with a table for us. Not enough staff on. Staff were chatting too much. Member of staff wearing a wooly hat while serving. Looked like a tramp. Clueless kids serving. Very expensive, only got one drink order, didn't ask if we wanted another. Hardly saw the staff, rushed us with the bill. First time I went it was ok but this time lack of head waiter and too busy and not enough staff. Atmosphere was terrible.

This is my no. 1 place to get pizza in Nottingham. The Detroit-style pizza with the hot honey has my heart and I must think about it at least once a week. Also really recommend the vodka sauce. Always chuffed to see the Braybrooke lager being sold here as this another one of my faves. The staff have always been really welcoming and accommodating and I just love the cosy atmosphere inside.

Came here off a review by Food Review Club and have to say it was every bit as good as a I expected. The Detroit pizza was next level - crunchy cheesy sides, fluffy middle and an awesome homemade marinara sauce that was punched through with just the right amount of garlic and basil. If you live in Nottingham or are just visiting the area you shouldn't miss out on this place!

The BEST PIZZA out of Italy, seriously worth trying it. Being many times, and it never gets old, the taste of the pizza's are inovating, the menu is often changed, the specials are fantastic. And the flour they use for the dough is fantastic, top quality, you can tell. Super well done guys! congratulations. THE BEST PIZZA IN NOTTINGHAM CITY!

The food was phenomenal, the staff were great, albeit the bloke on the till did get a tad annoyed with us when we asked to pay for our items individually (we were a group of 7). The decor and atmosphere gives a very 90's in Brooklyn, also the selection of beers and IPA's are second to none. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

Pizza was fantastic. Could tell the dough had been made with poolish. And you could see it cooked in the pizza oven. Unfortunately the building was slightly cold. And there was flour all over the counter. Atmosphere seemed a bit lacking. I think it would of been better if it was priced a bit cheaper. But overall it was a positive experience

Best pizza joint in Notts by a mile. The Detroit pizza is unbelievable, perfectly saucy and the crusty cheese round the edges is unbelievable. Beer selection is fantastic, great selection or pizza, and the friti of the day is a must have. The staff are really friendly and service is quick and simple. A must visit in Nottingham.

Been here twice now - once with work and once with friends. Both times the food was fantastic and would come back again. If you want something different try the Detroit style pizza as it's unique and not something you see at other places. Standard pizzas are nice and thin and full of flavour

Great pizzas and beer selection. Beers are a little pricey for a can but good place to visit for a bite to eat during some drinks.

We were only the second table to be seated after the restaurant opened but the last to receive our food. A few tables were seated, served and had left by the time we received our pizza. And when it arrived, it was a margarita when we had ordered a pepperoni. We had been sat in there for over an hour by the time the correct pizza arrived. Our order was two soft drinks, one pepperoni pizza, and a dip - not something we thought we'd be waiting long for. It's a shame because the pizza was delicious but we left feeling irritated.

Superb pizza, probably the best I've ever tasted. A lot of different subtle flavours in each mouthful and fresh ingredients. The side dish of fried courgettes was as good as I have had in Greece. A good selection of German and craft beers tops it off. The only issue for me would be the high prices for drinks and side dishes, but it's worth it when the food is of this quality.
