The best restaurants in St James Northampton East Midlands

I like the atmosphere here, and service is very professional

We went there for my daughters birthday, the staff were great, especially Rebecca M who brought out her desert with a candle in it on a nicely decorated serving board and sang happy birthday to her with a colleague. The food was served extremely quickly also. We actually travelled 20 miles further than our nearest branch to go here as we could not book the required time at our local branch, so glad we did this and we will continue to visit this branch in the future. A big thanks to Rebecca and the rest of the staff for making my daughter feel special on her birthday.

Had an amazing meal of nachos, cocktails, burritos and churros. Georgina was a fabulous hostess. I am gutted to hear the restaurant will be closing, I adore coming and will be sad not to be able to come again.

The reason for 4 stars instead of five is chunks of onion and lettuce instead of slices so they fall out of the burger, and there was quite a large amount of unmixed peanut butter left at the bottom of my banana and peanut butter milkshake. And it really is quite pricey - £30 for two burgers and chips and one milkshake. The four stars is for lovely staff and great quality food. Even though the milkshake wasn't perfect, it was still gorgeous - real banana and peanut butter and vanilla ice cream. The chips are skin-on and yummy and the burgers are fab. Next time I'll have a small burger as the regular with two beef patties was a bit much for me. The burgers are a standard price and then you can add all the bits you want for "free" to customise it. So we added tomato, lettuce, mustard, pickles (gherkin), mayo, onion and ketchup. And we had the medium sized portion of chips between us instead of two small, so that saved some money - and It was plenty. It was a Saturday evening at around 7pm so there were a lot of staff making burgers behind the counter, which must be another reason for the high prices. But even though we won't go often, we'll go again and look forward to it.

I came here on a Sunday morning for the rugby, Northampton v Munster. The cafe was busy, I don't know if they were short staffed, because everyone's orders seemed to take a while to arrive, but the big breakfast was well worth waiting for, I'll come back here next time I come up to Northampton.

Food was late slightly cold but it was tasty so enjoyable.it was vavle for what we paid meal for 2 just under 30 quid.will order again

Great pub for watching Rugby 🏉 and having a beer before and after rugby at the Saints. Outdoor seating and garden.

Ordered two peices of Cod 1 large, 1 Reg and large chips. What we got was definitely not Cod, no flavour and greasy and unable to tell the difference between the large and reg. Chips where okey, decent portion for chips.

The hygiene is absolutely disgusting and brought food on tray, which is so dusty and sticky, it's shocking, so unprofessional, that's what we pay for, when they allowing Yong peaople to come in modern slavery world!!!

As a pensioner of 72 I was very disappointed in the customer service today in Sixfields Please can you train your staff on customer service. A young man with glasses nearly barged into me when I had a full trolley without apology or a smile very rude behavior Shocked by such bad customer service.

I would like to suggest that the person who is slagging off the Doddridge Centre actually visits the place as Carol hasn't been there for a number of months! The staff and volunteers who are there are doing the best that they can and need local support to keep it open.
