The best restaurants in North Kesteven East Midlands

I've been to The Horseshoes in Silk Willoughby a few times now, and I just have to share how amazing my meal was on Friday! This place serves good, honest pub grub, but they really know how to do it right. Everything was delicious, and I finished off with an exceptional Irish Coffee—what more could you ask for? The food is amazing, the atmosphere is warm and friendly, and the staff are brilliant. If you haven't been yet, you're missing out!

Visited today for Sunday Roast/Mothering Sunday treat. On arrival, staff were polite, pleasant, and welcoming. We ordered our drinks and were asked if we would like to be seated for our meal. In the process of being seated, one of our party managed to knock her mums glass of wine over the table ! The owner could see this was causing some upset and promptly had the table cleaned and replaced the spilt wine free of charge, along with consoling the guilty party !. The meal arrived in a timely manner, and wow, what a feast, I opted for the large Sunday roast and it was delicious, 3 different meats, roast potatoes, roast carrots, parsnips and 2x Yorkshire puddings came plated, then arrived the veg, broccoli, green beans, mash, cauliflower cheese, and dauphinoise potatoes. The meal was piping hot and served with lovely gravy. By the time the meal was finished I was stuffed. On seeing the puddings being served around me I wished I had left room. 10/ 10 for service quality and welcome. We will deffo return and Thank-You for your kind gesture with the spillage

Superb place amazing food and brilliant staff

What can I say? It's clean, it's Burger King. My only gripe is that the toilets seem to be closed quite frequently.

Amazing service, good quality food, really generous portions. Lovely atmosphere and friendly customers. Easy to park over the road.

Went for a meal as a group of 12. Pre ordered. Food was delicious- enjoyed by all- especially the steak :-) service excellent- will be back!

Haven't used Mirchi for a little while,however decided to have a curry as we've used them for many years, even through their name changes/rebranding and never had a bad meal....until now.... Portion sizes have dwindled dramatically as we ordered the same as we used to and was always stuffed, I could have eaten all of our takeaway on my own, the chicken tikka starter was pathetic, four small pieces of chicken which were slightly overcooked , the bombay aloo portion has been halved, as has the main curry dish, also the naan was much smaller and rather chewy like the dough has been overworked, also nothing much was hot only slightly warm. Overall we're shocked, prices haven't changed but the portions have and will definitely not be using them again!!!

Brilliant... great food and fantastic service

a nice little spot, I like my louder music, and this place offers it as well as a free pool table (taking in mind it's broken but is still great considering you dont have to pay). The drinks are reasonably priced and gave a great price for a 3 shot cocktail at only £6.50. Lovely customer service, we felt really welcomed 😊

We normally use “New Oriental” however they are currently closed for a break, So we gave “Top Wok” a go, never again! Not a patch on “New Oriental” very disappointing, quite pricey and no prawn crackers! You always get free prawn crackers, NOT from Top Wok. You will get a much better tasting take away from just down the road, I won’t be making this mistake again.

Went to the penny for New Year’s Eve. Unable to get tickets for food as they were fully booked . Managed to get a seat and enjoy the evening. The pub was decorated absolutely beautiful for welcoming the new year. There were lots of novelty items etc on all dining tables, glow sticks to make various items and lots of helium balloons. As an ex licensee, I was really impressed with the whole night. We were also offered free burgers and bacon rolls after midnight and we were also given a lift home. A great night was enjoyed by all. Well done all the management and staff, job well done. We will be booking up now for 2026 . Gail Long

Had a carvery here a couple of days ago the food was absolutely shocking. The amount of food they cooked that was just left out was horrendous there was so much food and barley anyone in the restaurant why cook so much food for it just to be left out for so many hours for it just to go cold. It’s just ridiculously. The carvery from here was just disgusting it was un edible the meat was very over cooked , chewy and just out right cold. The food was just cold and basically inedible. Spent a while waiting for a table when booked for a certain time and there was barely anyone in the restaurant. Really unhappy with the quality and the service of the food from this establishment. Won’t be eating here again anytime soon it was horrible.

We visited on Bank Holiday Monday, having already had lunch, so we just had a very nice light supper, and then we came back the following day and had a delicious steak (him) and curry (me). The staff were so very helpful, the surroundings were very pleasant and the loos spotless. Well done to everyone - and thank you for taking such care of our dietary issues.
