Nags Head in North Kesteven

Visited today for Sunday Roast/Mothering Sunday treat. On arrival, staff were polite, pleasant, and welcoming. We ordered our drinks and were asked if we would like to be seated for our meal. In the process of being seated, one of our party managed to knock her mums glass of wine over the table ! The owner could see this was causing some upset and promptly had the table cleaned and replaced the spilt wine free of charge, along with consoling the guilty party !. The meal arrived in a timely manner, and wow, what a feast, I opted for the large Sunday roast and it was delicious, 3 different meats, roast potatoes, roast carrots, parsnips and 2x Yorkshire puddings came plated, then arrived the veg, broccoli, green beans, mash, cauliflower cheese, and dauphinoise potatoes. The meal was piping hot and served with lovely gravy. By the time the meal was finished I was stuffed. On seeing the puddings being served around me I wished I had left room. 10/ 10 for service quality and welcome. We will deffo return and Thank-You for your kind gesture with the spillage

Called in for a quick pint after a day out in Newark. What a cracking little pub, welcoming and cozy. The landlord, Steve, recommended a beer and we ended up having a couple. It's a little gem and it won't be the last time I visit. It's got a great local pub vibe and Heckington itself is a pretty village which is bypassed by the A17....definitely worth a detour.

Today we tried the Sunday roast me vegetarian friend meat eater Is all I can say to wowzers The tastiest freshest, nicest Roast I have had in an extremely very long time Nothing was too much trouble we where certainly looked after, the staff where excellent and the Food was even better Thank you I will definitely be back with more friends

After reading the reviews we decided to try this place to take our elderly mum out for lunch. We were not disappointed, my husband had the beef, mother and I, had turkey. The Sunday Lunch was fabulous with a large selection of veg and potatoes. We then had the walnut cheesecake, it was the best cheesecake I’ve ever had and everything was so reasonably priced. Highly recommend

Went today for Sunday lunch and it was absolutely delicious. Best roast had out for ages. Generous portions. Meat tender, lots of beautifully cooked veg and homemade yorkies.......all at a very reasonable price for what you get. Can't fault it and definitely be back. Thank you 👍

Not too sure of the lack of reviews for this pub. Sitting in the centre of Heckington village the pub has a very prominent position and potential. Although a bit shabby around the edges the main public areas were clean and tidy. The fish and chips were of excellent quality and quite speedily delivered to the table. There was no other meals on offer and nothing to suggest that food is available at other times. Needless to say, I'm sure this will all be addressed by the current operators and I will be calling in again for my Friday lunchtime treat.

We were good and hungry when we strolled into Nags Head, encouraged by the reviews on Trip Advisor. Unfortunately, there was no food being served (perhaps we should have become suspicious when no menu or recent reviews appeared). We do like the pub, good ales and a proper G&T, and dog and people friendly. If you ever find yourself in Heckington, give it a go!

Los Nags Head aparenta un Carvery Roast" pero la comida parece que hemos estado varias veces y las comidas han sido excelentes.Cena del domingo son buenos y muy baratos, así que pruebe uno pero las comidas del restaurante son mejores. El restaurante está en la planta superior, así no es obvio, pero vale la pena el esfuerzo. Steve el propietario es un tipo, volveremos una y otra vez, muy buena relación calidad-precio y algunas rarezas en el menú, bien visitarlo, nunca tuvimos algunas de las carnes antes de

Visitado en el fin de semana, pero solo para una bebida como cambiaron a la zona. Estaba encantado y hechizado por el lugar así que después de un día de trabajo decidimos basura para una cena improvisada. No nos decepcionó. El personal es muy educado y amable como los patrones que parecen ser asiduos. La comida estaba bien presentada y deliciosa. Las patatas fritas caseras eran así dos veces suaves y marrones definitivamente un recomendar. Mi marido tenía la hamburguesa de verduras que estaba en ninguna manera carece de sabor. Mi elección original estaba agotado, lo que significa que tengo otra excusa para visitar que no me necesitas.

Primera vez a pesar de estar a sólo 10 minutos a pie!Nos quedamos gratamente sorprendidos por el ambiente en el restaurante y la calidad de la comida. Tuve la pechuga de carne que estaba bien preparado y se derretía en la boca. Mi esposa tenía la gambas y patatas fritas, que también era muy buena, con mención especial a las patatas cortadas a mano!Sólo hay dos pequeñas pegas que tuvimos durante nuestra visita. Primero estaba relacionada con el suministro, lo que significaba problemas varios elementos en el menú no estaban disponibles. Segundo fue que nos sentimos la camarera, aunque muy amable y agradable, no era totalmente informados sobre el menú en términos de lo realmente disponibles y también qué lado venía con lo platos de comida.Pero sin duda volveremos, y esperamos hacerlo en el futuro. Está muy bien de precio teniendo en cuenta la calidad de la comida.

Vivimos en el pueblo y ahora han encontrado un lugar muy agradable que es muy práctico y como nos enteramos anoche (Miércoles) la fantástica comida y servicio, las dos camareras eran muy bueno y atento. El propietario Steve fue muy amable y muy informativo. El restaurante arriba ha sido preciosa y se nota el tiempo y el dinero se ha gastado para llegar al nivel que se ha logrado. Gracias Steve y personal para una velada con nuestros amigos, volveremos! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Visited for the first time and not disappointed. Fantastic menu. Very attentive service. Plenty to eat but still made space for the delicious dessert. And, to top it off, size of the bill was a pleasant surprise.

Called in for a drink on a very hot day. They keep a good range of real ales that are well worth sampling. The pub was very pleasant and busy. Lovely people. The landlord had an eye for detail and service.

Mi marido y yo nos llevamos a mi tía de 92 años que vive en Heckington fuera para comer el domingo en la Cabeza Nags y no nos decepcionó. El personal era muy amable y el servicio era excelente. Sólo había 3 comidas para elegir: carne asada, cerdo o pavo (todos pedimos algo diferente) y que salió con una buena selección de verduras incluyendo queso coliflor. De salsa, patatas caseras asado y pudines yorkshire también sirve. Excelente relación calidad-precio por sólo £5. No pedir un flan aunque la selección parecía bueno. Sin duda volvería de nuevo.

Enjoyed a simple pub lunch after a visit to the windmill. Children welcome and plenty of simple choice for lunches. Home made chips too. Good clean toilets

Me tomó un amigo para el almuerzo mes pasado, que nunca habíamos estado antes, así que nos arriesgamos, estoy encantada de haberlo hecho. Nos dieron una cálida bienvenida y cuando pregunté si se sirve comida caliente, dijo el encargado (asumido) permítanme fecha lo que tenemos hoy en día, y luego volvimos con la respuesta. Mi amigo eligió un cordero, y yo tenía carne. tardó un poco en llegar, pero valió la pena la espera. Las raciones eran enormes, y servido caliente, gracias a Dios. Había un montón de vegetales de platos, y la elección fue buena, y está incluido queso de coliflor y la salsa fue de lo más sabroso. Aunque las raciones eran enormes, y aun así nos dimos los postres que son igualmente enormes, y delicioso! Había un gran número de clientes habituales allí, y el ambiente era muy amable. La señorita que sirve las comidas, era encantador. Cuando fui a pagar la factura, pensé que había cometido un error, y dije: ¿estás seguro? porque era muy razonable. He pagado mucho más por comidas menos agradables muchas veces en otros pubs. Tenemos intención de volver pronto, y llevar otro amigo, espero su tan buena la segunda vez.
