Mountain's Abbey Parks Farm Shop in North Kesteven

We were travelling from Yorkshire to Norfolk and my partner needed toilet stop. We called here and were told toilets are strictly for paying customers only. A bit too bad for disabled people.

We visited en route to Norfolk and on our way back. We had the Sunday lunch and it was one of the best Sunday lunches we have had out - ever. The sirloin beef was very tasty, the roast potatoes were amazingly fluffy and the veg really good. If we lived nearer we would be there almost every Sunday!

Went for a sausage sandwich at the feast section which is outdoors, and when I was given it I was hugely disappointed, the sausages where tiny and didn't really taste of anything but that could be due to the fact it had the cheapest brown sauce on it and no butter, if you like to pay a lot(£4.95 which is expensive for a sausage sandwich) for not very good food then this is the place for you. On our way to our holiday on the Lincolnshire coast, we came across Mountains by chance. What a find! Lovely food, friendly staff, and a wonderful farm shop. Definitely worth a visit.

Stopped for a sandwich and a "rest" and was very pleasantly surprised. Friendly staff, excellent food, very clean loos (which you have to buy something to use - great idea). Highly recommended.

After passing on several trips to the North, we decided to visit for lunch whilst staying close to the cafe. It did not disappoint! Lovely food and lovely staff. The butcher's counter looked fantastic, we didn't buy anything but if it were closer to home we would have! Would definitely stop here again.

First time that we have been in!! Definitely won’t be the last. Restaurant food was fresh, hot and lovely.. staff were polite and friendly. Ice on the way out was delicious!! Over all a great experience.

Called in at this well presented farm shop on way home from Boston to Nottinghamshire and bought several items but my trust in the appearance of this place fooled me into not checking the use by dates on the packaging when I arrived home and put the items in the fridge I was astonished to find that one of the items was out of date so my message to any other customers is to check all the dates before you leave the premises especially if you don’t live close by.

It was a long drive from Glasgow to Mountains farm Shop but it was worth it. Great staff, fantastic menu and good environment. Bought the flavoured duck breasts to take home along with cold meats - Duck was sublime. Thank you all.

We love the farmshop and have bought Boston sausage for many years now. The café is good but some of the portions are extremely small. The FULL breakfast, my partner had without tomato. It was tiny especially for a hungry man. A tiny ramekin of dried up beans, just so unnecessary and literally a single egg scrambled, such a small portion. Having said this, the sausage and bacon are obviously good and it’s more about quantity than quality. My roast dinner on the other hand was plenty large enough and lovely. We’d previously had soup here and that too was tiny but it could well have been changed now. We left and went elsewhere for a pudding but bought plenty from the shop as that is great. Sausage is the best.

All the staff are amazing, whether in the deli, butchery dept. or the bistro. They have always been friendly, good on advice and keen to advise and help. The food in the bistro and takeout is always freshly cooked from fresh ingredients. The quality of the meat and food in the deli are better than ever.

We popped in here to look at the Farm Shop and saw the cafe. We decided to have breakfast and a drink, it was all cooked and made fresh and was a nice place to sit and relax. The Farm shop was stocked up with some really nice bits, we bought a few things and when we are passing this way again (as it is some way away from where we live) we will pop in. The staff in the Farm shop were also friendly and polite.

This is the first time we’ve been since it’s been refurbished after the fire and it was greatly improved and more spacious, that part I liked. Disappointed with the lack of veggie main course options basically a burger or fish. I had the burger it was ok not spectacular. Didn’t find the staff friendly at all, after we’d finished nobody asked if we wanted anything else and when we paid it was very straight to the point hence why I never tipped. Decent food but won’t rush back.

If it were possible to rate this restaurant 10 stars they would deserve it! I took a group of forty members of our social group (Foresters Friendly Society) to the restaurant at Mountain’s Farm Shop in East Heckington today for a three course Christmas meal followed by a hot drink and mince pie. Scott (head chef) absolutely smashed it out of the park as the meal was delicious! Meghan and her team of front house staff were also fantastically attentive and organised with their service! Every single person left the restaurant feeling full and extremely happy. As an organiser of a large group booking Meghan was really easy to work with and made everything run so smoothly. I honestly cannot thank the team enough for this incredible afternoon!

This establishment deserves high praise! The cuisine, spanning breakfast to desserts, is truly exceptional. The chefs showcase evident pride in their creations—I recently savored the delightful mushroom soup, complemented by a freshly made tiny bread loaf. The staff, particularly Rita and Lucy, provided outstanding service. They're always willing to offer recommendations, though with such consistently excellent options, it's a delightful challenge. The quality of the meat, sourced from partnered butchers, is discernibly top-notch.

Well I throughly enjoyed my meal . A little on the pricey side but then again I would rather pay that bit more ,and eat quality food . The chips are real not those retched frozen ones everyone has . I had sausages and potatoes and cabbage and onion gravy. Top class top taste ,and the sausages …..the best ,not those pink things made of paste . These are real Boston sausage ,unbeatable . The cabbage was done differently not boring ,I mean very very good . The chef deserves a mention . Top job good chefs are worth their weight in gold . The staff are lovely also . Even though it was buzzing they all were very friendly and smiling . Then I spent more money from the butchers next to the restaurant. Wow the ham I bought can’t put it back in the fridge . It was so fresh , plus the place is spotless and the meat counter presentation perfect So will I return ,yes is the answer to that . The little Irish lady who served us is lovely . Anyway when your passing ,call in for a coffee and food ,you won’t regret it . Easy and lots of parking . I’ll give this place 10 out of 10 Food quality 10 out of 10 Staff quality. 10 out of 10 Cleanliness. 10 out of 10 To the bosses ,A tidy ship is a happy ship . Your crew are in full command of what I call your flagship and it’s through them and their actions that bring people back time and time again . They keep the ship calm even when a storm is brewing. Tops , love you all and I will return .

Fantastic food, great value. Wonderful service and a lovely atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit. There's even a fantastic outdoor takeaway place in the car park if you're short on time.

I have used this great family business for many years. Their butchery has been the best I have known in over 40 years as a senior catering manager.

Visited the bistro for lunch and was thoroughly impressed. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Being at Mountains I had to have the sausage and mash and was not disappointed. The food was well presented, piping hot and delicious. Extra gravy was provided without any trouble. The burger we ordered was a good portion and also very tasty. Would definitely recommend and revisit.

Abbey Parks has metamorphosed! Long has it been a favourite comfort stop of ours on our road trips, but this was our first visit in some time. Wow! It is much, much larger, with outdoor seating and food areas, and a huge deli counter. I felt quite disorientated at first. But the staff are still lovely and friendly and helpful and the food was delicious (best ever food that we have had there!). I had a full English breakfast and my husband had the rib of beef cooked overnight. The coffee was nice and strong and hot too. I can't recommend it enough and we look forward to our next visit!

We have come here occasionally for years to break our journey to Norfolk. The management seems to have changed and it has been expanded and now has little character.The restaurant is said to be vegetarian friendly but there are no vegan options. Eg even the all day breakfast does not offer vegetarian sausages There is also very little fish. Eg tuna salad/sandwich/baked potato. The toilets now have a code system to get into them and you have to ask a staff member if you want to go. This is inconvenient and a little unfriendly

Twice in the past 3 weeks we have had to wait over 45 mins for our order. First time we were told a computer glitch had not sent our order to kitchen. So we thought we would give them another try. Today no explanation but a couple who sat down 40 minutes after us had their food at the same time as us. Chef needs to get a move on get his timings up to speed. Floor staff need to be in conversation with the kitchen. Excellent food though. Not sure we will go again. Shop had a wide variety of food and sausages are out of this world.

Stopped off for a breakfast cob and some shopping. Lovely farm shop. Very clean and well set out. Got some beautiful meats and bits in the shop. Also had a breakfast cob sat outside. The inside restaurant was very popular and they were queueing but you could get served outside nearly straight away. Good job it wasn't raining. Well worth a stop.

First time we revisted since reopening and wasn't disappointed. Myself and my friend Anne both had sausage and mash which was so tasty, perfectly cooked and the mash was the best ever. Both had cappuccinos with a slice of cake, couldn't fault a thing. Spotlessly clean, lovely inside or outside tables with lovely, friendly and polite staff. If travelling past, its a MUST to go in. It’s been 11 months since last visit. I love the alterations you have done to the cafe the extra room is a delight to sit in. Yet again the service was impeccable and the waitress who served us was a lovely Irish lady. Breakfast was amazing but yet again why can’t the chef cook a mushroom without butter it takes a few minutes to cook a few mushrooms and also the tomatoes why arnt they cooked all the way through if the chef was to bake a batch they would only need to be warmed up that would make the experience perfect.

Stopped off for brunch during a long journey. Had a sausage sandwich and eggs florentine (photo) . The latter was one of the best we've ever had, ever. Masses of parking, lovely friendly service from everyone who looked after us. The butchery counter in the farm shop was one of the biggest I've seen and very popular.

Just tried the reopened cafe for Sunday Lunch. Friendly, attentive service and the roast beef was plentiful and cooked to perfection as we're all the accompaniments. Sorry, there are no photos it was a phone free day! Will we go again? We most definitely will.

Stopped here to break up a long journey. Unfortunately their cafe is currently closed (due to a fire) They have a 'van' outside that sells some hot food and also a lovely selection of cakes/treats. We got a chocolate milkshake that was very good, as well as a Cherry Bakewell blondie (really really good), Biscoff brownie (very good) and a Millionaire's brownie (very good) Very nice cakes and we will definitely stop here again in future if going past.

We stopped off on the way to The Broads. Lovely and clean and the food was excellent. I can recommend the Boston Sausages! Also meatless options on the menu.
