This place rocks... Great entertainment. Love it when they have their outside summer events as the whole village comes out to celebrate and it's fabulous. Parking available but small carpark. The staff are lovely and always welcoming. Lovely country pub 🍻 💕 If you go please be considerate to the people that live near the pub and don't block drive ways however as there's plenty of room alongside the pub on left side of road to park. There is a lovely park on the right side to walk to and it's really pretty, beautiful area to walk around and very friendly people that will always say hello to you. Love this place and love Swinderby.

Been back and our thoughts are still the same.... What a lovely local pub this is. The service was good, food fresh and home made. We had the beef sunday dinner and it was really nice. Plenty of veg and gravy to go with. We will defo go back when next in the area. I actually forgot to take photos of my food. I would recommend booking.

A small pub with a big heart ❤️ We were visiting our very good friends who eat here often. The landlady is fab cooks and waits tables. The food is lovely home cooked and plenty of it too no small gravy jugs here and topped up if needed. The menu is small but enough. Sky TV quiz nights and more. Really friendly atmosphere Look forward to our return Thank you

Called for a meal early afternoon. Not a big restaurant style pub more of a local with a few tables for meals and that's no bad thing. There were 4 of us and had 3 different meals that took about 15/20 minutes to arrive but were all home cooked and good quality ingredients that were really tasty. I was a bit shocked as a tight Yorkshireman at 10 quid ish for Lasagne but it really was worth it. Definitely recommend the Plough. Don't expect 'spoons prices but worth it for the tasty home cooked food. Thanks to all at the Plough 👍

I fish in the area and the plough was recommended to me. However i didn't find it particularly welcoming. I was hoping to get a meal but they don't cook in the evenings. I asked about a sandwich but that was out of the question too. Ended up with a sandwich from a corner shop after a 3 hour drive.

We popped in here for some lunch whilst traveling from Grimbsy back to Oxford. It added just a couple of miles to our trip and was well worth the visit over your regular side of the road eateries. Both Hannah and Helen were lovely and made us feel welcome despite having some issues with the card machine (I hope these are resolved!). Food was great and service polite and individual. It feels like a lovely little 'regulars' pub but one which is welcoming to passers by. We will likely stop again here next time we are passing by.

My family love eating here especially Sunday lunch. It is a proper village pub with good food and good beer. The staff are always ready to greet with a smile. We have had the luxury of food being brought to our door during lockdown and as we are being shielded it is a highlight of the week. We look forward to being able to eat there once “normality” returns.

Went there with my Father who served in the RAF in the village 60 years ago. Friendly staff, wide choice of meals prepared to order. Unfortunately, as I was driving, could not try out the choice of real ales. As my father is in a wheelchair, toilet facilities are rather difficult.

I was always told to tell the truth and be honest. So this little place has great potential to be a beautiful friendly pub for family and friends to meet. The food was fresh, although took a little time because of such. The dishes made were very tasty but it feels like as we were a table of six and they didnt expect us, that they were not quite prepped. This is because the home made chips added to the dish were of a small portion.... but more were made and brought to the table without even asking.

We came for lunch based on the good reviews and were not disappointed. We each had baguettes served with a small salad. My wife had Ham and I had Ham and Cheese, having discussed if the cheese was tasty. It was! Both members of staff were friendly and chatty. My wife said that the Ladies toilet were clean and fresh. Our only concern was that she was served 'ordinary' Tonic after asking for diet/sugar free. This was problematic for her being a Type 1 Diabetic, when her Blood Sugar reading spiked in the afternoon. This will not prevent us returning but we will ensure that the same mistake is not made on our next visit.

A really great pub that has thrived in the recession when many local hostelries have closed. On a cross roads with lots of parking. Two separate garden areas, a large L shaped bar and adjacent restaurant serving Thai food lunch and dinner and traditional pub food at lunch time.( fantastic Welsh Rarebit with poached egg!) Both menus are varied and excellent. The bar and waiting staff are young and fun. Clientele is mixture of local farm staff and business types. Ladies on their own are made to feel comfortable. Always bustling but can get really busy on Lingfield Park horse race days. Really worth a visit, landlord and lady are great fun. Lots of fun banter, new people get a warm welcome, my local and really appreciated, the Plough is the centre of the local community. If all pubs were like this they would also be busy.

I have visited this shop quite a few times and have always found a lady behind the meat counter … an older lady to be a bit brusque ! I was the only one on the shop but she still kept me waiting ! I was served by another lady who was nice. Black longer hair. I bought two steak pies small ones. Good size. Filling nice but the pastry was rock hard !! The lady in the feast cabin was very nice. Had a sausage Sandi h. It was nice. Red hot. It was freezing so was well received
