Friendly comfortable old style pub. Landlord and landlady couldn't do enough to make our stay the great evening we all enjoyed

I booked the white hart for a surprise 30th this weekend as we were staying at the white horse holiday park and I must say they were fantastically accommodating I had been having communication with Jess a couple of weeks prior and from start to finish she was amazing when we arrived she had put up decorations and even supplied the most beautiful cake 🎂. The food was lovely but above all Callum and Jess are the most welcoming hosts. Thank you guys for everything xxxxxxx

First time I've been to this place. Quite a nice village pub. Was great to watch my favourite band Relentless Rockabilly play in the beer garden too.

Popped in for a quick bite. It felt like a pub in decline. Said they were doing food but almost everything on the menu was not available, came down to burger as the only option! Service was not good, atmosphere not good. Food quality was basic at best. Wouldn't recommend.

This was our first visit to the White Hart Inn. The menu is limited at the moment as they are just getting up and running after the government restrictions. However the Coach house burger is highly recommended and was one of the burgers I have ever had. The food was extremely well cooked. And nicely presented. If we were to visit metheringham again I would definitely be returning to the White Hart Inn. Totally recommend.

What can we say, came here with some family no knowing that the pub had changed hands but god what an improvement! Food was to die for and you can tell that the chef knew what they were doing. The staff were on the ball and constantly making sure the place was clean and tidy, the selection of drinks was so vast we had so much choice it met the needs of all the family. Really couldn’t imagine is going anywhere else now will be returning on a regular basis. Thankyou to the landlady and landlord for making this a truly enjoyable experience!

Met our friends for an evening meal after hearing there was a greek menu and we were not disappointed. PROPER calamari (dangly bits included!) salty saganaki yum. We all said we would definitely return. There was a singer on who really got the evening started, we stayed a short while but I think we may have been sat the table of a group of 'regulars' so left after coffee. Lucky villagers, your pub is a gem.

My husband and I moved to Lincolnshire from North London some years ago. My husband is Greek Cypriot and we have struggled to find authentic Greek food in the local region. The White Hart was recommended to us, so we gave it a try. The food was beautiful - my husband had gyros (pork) and I and our daughter had the souvlakia (lamb). The portions were generous and the meat cooked to perfection. The pitta bread was fabulous, the chips handmade, and the tzatziki and salad brought the dishes together wonderfully. Niko and Val were very welcoming and went the extra mile to ensure we enjoyed our visit. The meals were great value and we will certainly be returning soon.

Are at white Hart the food was excellent and service suburb very friendly and attentive , or meal was tailor made for us so we could have a mezzi style it was very well cooked and tasty ,decor not the best and parking challenging but hospitality and good excellent

We went here expecting a lovely evening of Greek food after reading the reviews and viewing the pictures. However, when we went in the pub is outdated and it simply seems strange and uncomfortable to have a restaurant in what is a drinkers pub. It is clear the pictures are not a true representation of the food. The music was incredibly loud, the staff were unprofessional and the food is only just Greek. The calimari had no sauce and was bland the chefs special was practically a stew. We were not offered any sauces and were very happy to leave. It’s safe to say we won’t be coming back.

Love Greek food. Was looking for somewhere to eat having booked a campsite nearby, having checked the reviews I booked via there website and got a prompt acknowledgement of booking. The pub is dated but clean, do let this put you off. The bar staff couldn’t be more helpful or friendly. We went for a starter I had the village Greek sausage with homemade tzatziki which was fantastic. Husband had the meatballs in tomato sauce and pitta fab, would think they make their own pittas as usually the ones we get in the UK are quite thick. Main course for me had to be moussaka and was spot on. Husband had Souvlaki with pitta and dip. The food is all homemade and fresh. Would highly recommend everyone involved attentive and will definitely return.

What a surprise: a traditional village pub serving delicious authentic Greek food. The staff were very friendly and happy to discuss the food and make recommendations. The swordfish was excellent and all the food was fresh and cooked to order. This meant a slight wait, but it wasn’t a problem. Would highly recommend if you like Greek cuisine.

This is the second time we have been to this place. The food is amazing it's a family run restaurant the staff are really friendly and helpful and will tell us everything we need to know about the beautiful Greek menu. I came here with my family and we ordered the bruschetta and the calamari and the cheese and spinach pie. It was absolutely amazing. After the starters we ordered the full rack of ribs and the moussaka and the rump steak and the souvlaki portion. Again it was great portions and very filling. All in all we were too full to order a dessert but when we got our bill the price was fantastically reasonable. We will definitely return. This is the best place ever!!

Popped in at lunchtime for a light snack. What we got was an amazing assortment of Greek dishes, which were a delicacy. My guests and I found the beer and lager exceptional quality and I found the kebab to me amazing value for money and delicious, one of my guests says the spaghetti mince was the leanest she has ever tasted and she is in her fifties, and my other guest found the homemade cheese pasty with feta cheese too tasty and too much to handle. Portion sizes were great, but because food was so good we tied the deserts. And they were equally as good and the ice cream was to die for. We will heading back soon to the White Hart.

I went to the White Hart tiday for the first time ever. The pub was toasty and cosy .... a very nice atmosphere within. Had a few games if pool followed by Sunday lunch ...... Roast Beef.... Broccoli. ... White Cabbage..... Sliced Carrots..... Roast spud. The Landlord recommended I try the Beef prior to pouring gravy on so I did. Wow wow wow .... superb roast. .. it fell apart and had a hint if Garlic it was outstanding. The veg was cooked to a T roast spuds .. I have never had better .... EVER mash was also spot on. Finally Yorkshire puds ( I am a Yorkshireman ) brilliant !! All in all a Resaurant quality in a local pub for a .... lower than Pub prices on a are age I would say. All home cooked fresh ingredients. .... I saw the kitchen whilst outside ..... the door was ajar. Absolutely gorgeous meal. PS to Holly...... you are incorrect on all points I reckon ..... final point .... Whilst complaining about the quantity of gravy ......... did you ask for more? Just rolled in from having tea here. Chicken dinner, 3 potato types, 3 veg, choice of meat, I had the chicken but my partner couldn't decide so had beef,chicken and pork, stuffing, and gravy. Piping hot, tasted lush, my only criticism was not enough gravy but at home I usually make about half a pint person...will return!!!!

Holly whiteside- you came in while I was in and you were extremely fussy. The staff went out of their way to accommodate your child and yourselves. Your comments here are not based on facts. It’s lies! I know for a fact they use fresh potatoes and the veg is done fresh. a baby could see they are proper potatoes. Suggest you re think your extremely biased views and admit you are paid by their competitors to be so vile!

Had an excellent sunday dinner, all homecooked veg and the beef was to die for, melt in mouth! would certainly recommend first rate and excellent value. Having just seen the review by 'holly whiteside'. I was in the same day as you, your review has no factual basis and some might say it was as a failed attempt to get a free meal by threatening to give a bad review. This might have worked in the city you used to live in but will not work in a community based village.

Absolutely love this place, have had several meals here. Visited on Sunday for a family Sunday lunch, it was delicious and I highly recommend, we had a lovely time and the staff were so helpful and friendly given that one of our party had just had an operation . The beef was melt in your mouth and the potatoes and vegetables were done to perfection. That impressed we have booked again. Credit where credit is truly deserved. Thank you so much . I think Holly whitesides review is disgusting and slanderous especially as she lives in the village. The veg is cooked fresh on the day and the mash is certainly not smash. You only have to look at their excellent reviews to realise what a good place it is. Well worth a visit

I wouldn’t even rate 1*. Ordered two carveries, served with microwaved vegetables. ‘Mash potatoes’ that had the same taste and texture as smash. ‘Pork’ came as just slices of fat (no meat whatsoever). While waiting for our food, the bar staff was telling the punters at the bar how awful the food was and that the Yorkshire puddings were rock hard and doughy in the middle (yet she still served them to us, RAW!) I complained about the meat and she just said well sometimes it’s like that, and still served it. (We was the only people there eating, so you’d of chose the best bit of meat)! We left as quick as possible as it was disgusting and inedible! Would never go there again or recommend to anybody, the staff couldn’t care less.

Sunday lunch. Great take on British Sunday lunch with Greek slant. Superb creamy Lincolnshire rates withs succulent pork apparently sourced direct from the farm. Just the right balance of tender meat and proper meat fat. Will be back.

Lovely owners. Very customer oriented. Very knowledgeable. Lovely people to get to know. Especially as we lived in Cyprus previously was nice to see some authentic Greek cuisine cooked with love. After experiencing the way friends were treated last Saturday by member of bar staff who was uneccesarily rude. Had some good night's there previously but prefer to take our custom elsewhere in future. The Guinness wasn't the only thing that left a sour taste.
