Pleasant welcome and greeting from staff Food ok but ROAST POTATOES hard and stale so inedible Meat small and badly carved!

Staff were friendly despite it being busy. Guy carving was lovely despite being rushed still made us feel valued and not just another customer. great job guys

I really wanted to praise your manager/assistant manager. I think her name was Charlotte. Unfortunately didn't get to eat as my mum had a fall in the restaurant. Charlotte was amazing and stayed with me and my mum till we got my mum ready to get in a car to go to hospital. Props to her though for guessing that my mum's ankle wasn't broken, that first aid training came in handy. Charlotte is an amazing person and you are lucky to have this staff member in your company. Long queue times to get food- staff was being shouted at while we got our food and then we found black plastic in our food. When we informed the manager they said it would be from the Yorkshire puddings (I’m gluten free and had no Yorkshire puddings) and didn’t seem that concerned

brilliant service today. Despite being the only one on the floor, Ebony checked on us, got our drinks in good time and made sure we had a very pleasant experience. She was a great server despite being under pressure from other customers and took their complaints with a smile! Definitely returning! - 4 very full uni students :)

Met for a family get together. Been lots of times before but Ebony made it extra special. Very grateful for her excellent service.

Took the family for an early evening meal at The Toby. The teenagers loved it, the adults not so much. Whether that tells you something, I don't know. The food wasn't hot really. Just very warm. The meat was a bit bland and the roast potatoes were barely roasted. The choice on offer was plentiful but it was all a bit average. There was nothing memorable about the meal and no incentives to come back in the future. Such a shame, nice building, comfortable surroundings, warm and friendly staff. Just forgotten as soon as you leave.

Thank you to Jai and Ebony who were the Servers on duty. We had breakfast here on three consecutive days. It was a magnificent full English Breakfast and set us up well for each day.

Amazing family meal out! We entered the establishment and was greeted by a very welcoming gent Saturday morning only way to describe him was covered in tattoos, He welcomed us explained what we had to do and was very pleasant. We noticed that his customer service throughout was exceptional to all guests that entered which was lovely to see. He went above and beyond for our party and I can’t thank him enough. He made our experience very welcoming and we even had a laugh with him which you don’t get much these days. People are always quick enough to complain when something has gone wrong but recognition is something that is important and I feel this guy deserves it. So a massive thank you to the guy covered in tattoos it was a pleasure and we will definitely be back again.

Honestly cannot fault this place, the food was fresh, hot and delicious with plenty of vegetarian/vegan options. Went with family and had a lovely time, nothing was too much trouble and the staff were incredibly helpful and inviting. It wasn't over crowded, which was brilliant, no long cues, calm and warm atmosphere. Perfect for dining with young children. I would definitely recommend this place to others and look forward to going again soon.

Came at lunchtime today to find the restaurant quite quiet, but the young, scruffily dressed 'manager' wanted to sit us next to another occupied table - I refused as there was so many empty tables, and when I asked if we could sit next to the window, I was told, 'No, as I've only got two waiting staff on today and want that kept empty.' This was obviously a lie as 20 minutes later he was having a meeting/interview with someone else! Anyway, the carver was pleasant and had personality. There was plenty of food, which was tasty too, including 2 lots of roast potatoes - 1 for veggies and another pot cooked in beef dripping.

We have been to this Toby Carvery a few times now and this one is definitly the last. The food was cold even though we saw them bring it out fresh, when we mentioned this, we were just told sorry. We went on Good Friday and it was almost empty, which we found surprising, now we know why. We paid over £70 for 4 carverys and drinks and it really wasnt worth it at all, all 4 of us left nearly all of our food. We won't be using it again.

I ordered a takeaway to be delivered it was chewy and over cooked and also had lots of stuffing on which I specifically did not request . This is not the first time it has been like this so I complained . They responded by asking for my phone number then never got in touch . Will not be using or recommending this toby to anyone

Really shocked at just how good this Toby Carvery is! Honestly, every aspect of our visit for my Dad's birthday was taken care of. I recieved txt and email confirmation and info regarding my booking, wonderful welcome when we arrived, catered to all requests including bringing out the cake and singing. Food was amazing, service from Sam to start and then Leona was perfect, I was even impressed with kitchen staffs professional behaviour with great customer service when serving along with clean and tidy uniforms, something not always seen in restaurants. Thank you so much for making my Dad's birthday special :)

Came in with my elderly mother for Mother’s Day. The food was great and all the staff seemed friendly. Had Leona as out server and couldn’t fault her one bit!

We came in for Mother’s Day for Sunday lunch, food was lovely. Our waitress was called Leona- she was very friendly and helpful.

Had a Carvery lunch on 18th Jan. The food as usual was of a very good standard with plenty of choice. The restaurant was very clean and tidy, making for a comfortable and pleasant visit. A special thank you must go to your staff member Oliver who was very professional, pleasant and polite. Thank you.

Fab lunch on a cold wintry day today. Had the carvery as per usual. Up to its usual high standard. All staff were so nice, smiley, helpful and polite. Special mention to Oliver who helped me with my app and getting my rewards up and running

Always polite, food hot and great! Only thing that could be improved is the time to be sat and for the bill to be paid, other then that it's great!

Our waitress (Leona) was friendly and attentive, 5* for the service. Food was prompt and my mum loved your carvery. Gave an overall 4* as the area we sat in felt a bit "too cosy" and would've been nice to have sat in a quieter area with more space.

Leona is an absolute treasure to the Toby carvery society, stupendously helpful and will definitely be coming back, the food was delightful and splendid and her twin brother the other blonde guy with glasses, also a great asset. Four stars out of five only complaint is music is crap where’s murder on the Dancefloor or dance monkey.

Breakfast is great value here with a good choice. Visited this Toby twice while spending the weekend in Lincoln, once for drinks on Saturday evening and breakfast on the Sunday. Staff were lovely on both occasions and the chef was constantly checking there was ample fresh food available at the breakfast buffet. A much nicer experience than Wetherspoons, as the food was hot and you could take your pick, plus the pub itself was clean, comfortable and warm.

Regular venue for us. As app users we used the 50% off offer which made the meal even better! Can never fault the food - vegetable choice is changed regularly and meat always good. Leona was our hostess today - not seen her before, but got a lovely greeting, she was aware of all customers and even offered to help me with my food to the table, having seen I use a walking stick.

I came in with my friends for the All You Can Eat breakfast, price was reasonable. The food was really nice however refilling the items when they were empty was a bit slow and the hash browns were a bit dry. But our server Leona was very nice and was quick to answer any questions we had.

In general the food was quite nice, but what I'd usually expect from a carbery, however we found it quite overpriced for a Sunday standard carvery at £14. We regularly attend a different carvery (by Greene King) which we think is much better value at £10.49and the food tends to be tastier and meat potion sizes a little bigger. In addition it's a shame that Toby Carvery offer blue light discount but this is not applicable on a Saturday and Sunday which was disappointing to learn. I suggest Toby Carvery review their blue light offering to include the weekends.

Can’t fault the food or service, lovely hit and fresh food. The beef was very tender, melted in my mouth. Highly recommend

Home of the roast NOT the smallest amount of meat miserable carver dirty work area and not very clean by the tables, I’ve had better at lesser known restaurants for less money. At least they are consistent. On the plus side it was warm.
