Like all Wetherspoons. Cheap beer and good (basic) pub food. A good selection of ales. Unfortunately, not dog friendly, so not 5 stars for me.

Your typical cosy homely pub with good pub grub. I had the ramen noodles which was lush. Have been here many times and it's reliable, warn and friendly toilets always clean and service always happy ☺️

Met up with the family for breakfast. Food is good for the price, and nobody tries to hurry you to leave

You know what you are getting with this pub chain. You get good value for money, the buildings they use are mainly old ones and when renovated they are so tastefully done.

Best pub in Sleaford. £2.63 pint. Had 4 pints Newby Wyke Black Rain 6% and Reverend James 4.5. Excellent beer quality. 3 day trip so visited all pubs.

Best Wetherspoons in Sleaford. As a wheelchair user I love the access from the street to the bar. The accessible toilets are also very good. The food is typical Wetherspoon and basic but good.

Typical weatherspoons, beer was ok ,service was a little slow, didn't have food on this occasion.

Great food at a really reasonable price. We visited on curry night. A great selection served with poppadoms and naan bread. Our meals were extremely reasonably priced, served promptly, the food was hot, tasty and there was plenty of it. The bar had a great atmosphere, the staff were polite and there was a good selection of alcoholic and soft drinks.

I have had many good meals here with a friend and I'm sure we will continue to do so, but the recent Xmas meal was disappointing, in that we were both still hungry afterwards. Otherwise would have been a 5-star review. The Xmas meal was 50% more expensive than our usual spend, so we had expected a larger portion.

Waited 10 minutes to be served. Held a £20 note up but ignored. Other people coming in and served straight away. We were going to have a meal and a few drinks. We left and went to another pub. I told the girl serving I was not impressed.

My wife and I had breakfast here this morning. My bacon and eggs were cold. The beans were no more than a spoonful. There was one small mushroom. The toast was cold. My wife’s tomato was burnt. The rest rest of her meal was cold too. The place was not that busy. We were really disappointed.

Went on a Sunday evening, meeting lots of family members (I live in Scotland, so it's probably the only time I'll be here). The place is pretty large, but if there are more than 4 of you, the only chance you'll get of sitting next to each other is if you go to the back and move tables together (the staff didn't mind this). Toilets are up a load of stairs, though there's one for disabled downstairs. Food arrived pretty quickly, and staff were all very friendly. Would go back if I didn't live 300 miles away.

Absolutely appalled by our service today. We go to order a pizza simply and get asked for id. Show them two forms of id to prove our age and we get rejected twice. If there was a negative star I would have no hesitation in clicking that. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECCOMEND

Too dark, typical spoons, very good prices though

Dropped in on a Friday afternoon, ordered food on the app. Plenty of availability and food/drink arrived quickly. Pizza was hot and crispy. Tables were cleared quickly and wiped down. Staff were friendly. Can’t fault this Spoons. Will visit again when back visiting family.

Ordered two sausage sandwiches for breakfast,they were brought to us after about 15 minutes and my husband actually thought the bread was toasted it was like sandpaper,as soon as it was served to us I felt the bread it was stale,I asked the waiter to feel it,he said he would return it to the kitchen,after ten minutes wait we were given our sandwiches in soft bread as it should if been in the first place.

I'm not usually one to write negative reviews, but if I could give 0 stars I would. I ordered the vegan breakfast, took ages for the food to come despite it not being busy, and the food was also cold. What really put me off though was finding a large curly hair in the beans. I would never recommend ordering food from here. I wasn't expecting the world from a spoons, but food being served hot and not being contaminated is the bare minimum.

Visited for sister’s GCSE results day for breakfast. Understaffed, waited over 50 minutes for food. Unhappy staff and customers. Cold beans but good pancakes.

Visited the pack horse in sleaford today (11th july) I must say such a lovely man behind the bar couldn't do enough for us - his manner was excellent a credit to the pub

Had an evening meal with my wife, food was good but took a while to find a clean table that had been cleared of dirty crockery. Seemed really short staffed tonight and gave the overall impression of general malaise, with no management oversight. Been attending for 20 years but won't be returning for a while unfortunately.

Always a lovely pub to come to, it's got a great atmosphere but it's not too loud, the food is always nice and the staff are super friendly.

I went in there on study leave and I had an ID just to be in in there to prove I'm 16. I told him I just left school and he said he needed a physical copy. I didn't want to go on a bender, I just wanted pancakes. Nice carpet though. Wasn't as sticky as last time.

Been here a few times now with a group of friends and every time we've been we have had an issue with the food and someone has had to send something back. Although it is usually resolved with either a change or a refund, it seems to be a consistent problem and probably needs looking at.

Good food, great variety of drinks, clean and tidy and good customer service.

Sausage and mash wasn't available, nor was the all day brunch. So that was a waste of time for me and my son.

Splendid range of beers & ales - not just lagers - at reasonable prices. Not too crowded or noisy, what more do you need?

A gathering of family , we had some items from the lunch menu and it was very nice . Also and unusually when I asked for no ice , that's how it came . I'm not the titanic nor am I a penguin , you'd be surprised how many barstaff think they know better than you . Good job . Crack on .

appaling service from only one specific member of staff Ethan, the boy that served us at the bar, was incredibly rude towards me and my friend when we made the simple complaint that one of our meals had been served to us incorrectly. Thanks to the other man and girl on the bar, we resolved the problem quickly it really does not take much to have a positive attitude toward a customer. I should hope that the other members of the team feel ashamed to be brought down from their brilliance by such incompetence and blatant disrespect.

I used to go to a J D Weatherspoons as often and the more the better not just because of the beer but the quality and size of the meals but over the past few years it started to go down hill especially with the food quality and size it shows in the amount of people calling in. Shame.

The drink service was a bit slow

The food was pretty good. We booked a table for 15 for a birthday. They'd reserved a table for 10, even though there were 15 pre-ordered meals. They managed to drag another table over at a 45 degree angle. The table was for 6pm and we were still waiting for food at 7pm. It was Saturday, and very busy and loud. The staff were helpful and polite but very busy and overworked.

I am a fan of th Wetherspoons brand but not all branches meet the same standard. On arrival the table was dirty and when we asked a staff member to clean it, it was done in silence with no eye contact as if it was an unreasonable request. Could not get the app to work for ordering. When we ordered burgers with a complementary drink, we were 3/4 of the way through the meal when we thought they had forgotton our drinks,On asking a member of staff, they snapped "on the bar" where the drinks had clearly been standing for some time. Everyone else seemed to get them delivered to the table. The food is shoddily presented if cheap, but the overall experience was awful and there are so many nicer places to eat in Sleaford.

Really nice to find somewhere you can go and have a, drink and to be able to sit and have a catch up with your friends, to be able to hear them and not leave your bank at the tills.

Beer was great, perfect temperature even in this heat. Wish I could have stayed longer. New visit Feb 2023, no need to mention the beer, sausage and egg muffin was perfect as you can see from the yolk popping and narrowly missing my jumper 😬

A very nice spoons with good quality ales. Very clean when I visited on the 17th Jan '23 with hardly a spillage or dirty plate. Pleasing to the eye beer courtyard. It's probably the best spoons I've been to in the county

Food a bit cold on our last visit but apart from that, the breakfast is cheap and cheerful and you can have free top-ups for tea and coffee.

I tried the new Shawarma wrap, supposed to be as hot as the SF chicken wrap, it was much hotter. Warm chocolate brownie was dried up. Cuttlery came without serviets.

Had a meal here today. Served quickly. Very polite staff. new menu I'm sorry but it's rubbish. We had American burgers 3oz and 6oz. My honest opinion is they taste like an overpriced McDonald's burger. Not at all impressed with the value for money or the quality.. (this is not a packhorse fault this is the JD wetherspoon & franchise fault) Drinks good served fast. Found some dirt and grime near the table and a chip.. ok it's just a chip but we got there 11:15 dinner wasn't served until 11:30 so no chips from previous table users so therefore my guess left there from yesterday. Used the toilet here.. mens stank of urine (more so than acceptable in my opinion) and two light fixtures with exposed electricals. Overall less impressed from previous experiences here. Will return for drinks but not for the food.

As a spoons ticks all the boxes ie cheap ales and lots of them and as per normal for a spoons cheap and cheerfull food

Pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff, nice breakfast.

We visited for a meal one weekend knowing that as a Wetherspoon we could guarantee that we would be able to get something we liked for a responsible price. However, this is worst Wetherspoon we have visited. The tables didn't have enough seats around them but we managed to get some spare seats from other peoples tables. The queue at the bar was completely disorganised. There were two queues at either end of the bar. We joined the queue nearest our table but after serving the first person, the server our end decided to serve the people at the other end of the bar meaning their queue disappeared and we were left standing there waiting for her to come back. When she eventually came back, the person in the queue in front of us too ages to order (not the Wetherspoons fault) but when another member of staff come out to try and clears the queues he also went down the opposite end serving people as they were arriving. When we eventually ordered the food that come out was missing items and the coffee tasted horrible. This is the first time we have experienced anything like this in a Wetherspoon and we frequent them often. We were visiting the area and had considered going back but after this experience we decided against it.

Ate here a few times working away. Never had an issue, always enjoyed my meal. Always found to be looked up and down upon before being served. Which I can live with as I am not posh, so quite happy with people acting snobby. However The one time I mentioned to the red haired young lady waiter that my nan bread looked undercooked and was dripping in garlic butter. She told me that's how they are. And if she got me a new one it won't be any different. I insisted I'd like to try a different one. She returned in 1 min with a better more appetising looking nan bread, not dripping. However as I looked up to say thank you, she had rudely threw it on my table and promtly turning away ignoring my gesture of thank you. Such a shame. Other wise like all other weatherspoons, great food for your money.

We've had lots of meals at this weatherspoons and all been nice but unfortunately this Friday went for breakfast and have to say its was the worse breakfast we've even had there. After wait over half an hour first one was cold so sent back second one was inedible did get a refund but not really the point

What's to complain about. This pub has everything. Cheap drinks, good staff, decent coffee with free refills and good honest pub food. It's warm inside too.! God bless Tim Martin I say.

Lovely atmosphere, great food and staff.

This visit results in a 3 or 3 and a half star. The toilets need, desperately need a full refurbishment. 3 urinals covered over not working, cubicles and tiling looking very tired and partially damaged. In main area The carpets and general decor need a deep clean and paint or totally redoing. The brewdog I had was lovely and priced well. Burger and chips, asked for no cheese and 15 mins later came out to table with cheese on. I took it back to bar and staff apologised and took it back. 15 mins later a new (possibly not, just cheese shaped off) came out.. with my old chips that had just been kept under a hotlamp/grill. They need to do better with this place. The Bourne one is so much nicer. So no pictures as it would just depress people.

Only went to meet friends and have a coffee. Nice ambiance though. Staff attentive. Nice and clean.

Second visit this week. First when food was dry pasta and a portion that was half the size it was 3 mths ago. Second visit for breakfast. Appalling. Cold rubberised scrambled eggs on burnt rubberised toast, with 2 teaspoons of warmish baked beans. Husbands breakfast all cold and without its toast. And the coffee machine out of order.

You can get a nice pint at a nice price if you are feeling very patient. They are not visibly very well staffed. I went in there on Saturday and ordered a mushroom eggs Benedict (looks delicious on there menu). Unfortunately what came out was the hardest poached egg I've ever come across. It was like they'd cooked them in bulk, left them under a hotplate all morning and decided to serve me one that had been sat there for hours. I couldn't believe that anybody would actually serve that as a poached egg. I had to wait for the manager for 5minutes whom didn't offer a apology or want to talk about it, she just told me to put my card in and that she'd refund the money for the egg. One bad experience wouldn't be enough for me to write a bad review and normally I only write good reviews. On my way out it occurred to me that none of the staff looked happy to be there. Perhaps that is the root cause.

All 4 meals off cold...worst ever in Sleaford. Small chip portions, small fish. Can't believe no red sauce apparently for 3 weeks !!!

Bad experience, 2 bad meals 1 returned.very noisy troublesome table of people behind,manager questioned my daughters age(26) while we put up with bad language and behaviour going on around.wont be returning
