Popped in for dinner and every one had a lovely evening enjoying a great tasty meal in a lovely atmosphere, both service and quality where excellent 👍

Nice food - but really really slow service and not very attentive for drinks etc Decent value for money but let down by the long wait Menu quite limited with no prices and no ingredients or allergen info so if this is an issue for you be careful Ran out of some items for the table after us - so seemed a bit unprepared ( and there wasn’t a lot of people in )

Had a great family meal here last night for a group of 20. Great menu choice which we pre-ordered. The food was great quality, generous portions, piping hot and most of all delicious. The service was great from a friendly and efficient team. We are lucky to have a local pub that serves great beer and food.

Fantastic meal at Turks Head, Heighington. Went for the Wednesday Steak Night. The steak was excellent quality, cooked to perfection and came with chips, onion rings, mushroom and salad. Great value, friendly service and nice surroundings. You can also eat off the normal menu which has a great choice (gammon was excellent).

This is a pub when we’re in the Heighington area that we regularly visit. The bar is friendly @ the restaurant is cosy with a great atmosphere. All food on menu is high quality & the chef will listen to your needs before delivering your delicious food. Sarah & Justin are the most welcoming hosts. Highly recommended ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Friendly staff. Lovely food and great beer. Gammon steak and battered haddock was cooked to perfection. Gammon was a lovely cut of thick meat, not the usual thing slice you can be served in other pubs.

Amazing 3 course Christmas dinner cooked to perfection. Festive decorations. Sadly, I forgot to photograph the mains as I was keen to tuck in. Thick turkey breast with pig in blanket, stuffing, 3 roast potatoes, carrots, Brussels, cabbage and a yorkie as well. Extra jug of gravy. Delicious.

By far the worst Barman I have ever encountered, Lyndon serves as a reminder to all those in the service industry that good humour, a dash of wit and a smattering of politeness, is precisely what ruins the pub trade. I look forward to sullying this place with my presence on numerous occasions in the future, despite it's questionable staffing. This once great nation has indeed been sullied, I expect , nay almost demand, miserable service, slightly warm food and questionable beer. For it gives me something to moan about. Damn this place for not catering to my specific entitled needs. In summary, enjoy your visit but be prepared to be dissapointed by it's complete lack of incompetence.

The Turks Head hosted us for a family celebration on a Sunday afternoon. The room was ideally sized, staff all very helpful and the catering was ample and of good quality, for a really reasonable price. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you.

Walked in walked out. Rude unfriendly staff. Had to ask for the highchair to be cleaned as it was full of food still from previous person and the bloke just nodded at me no sorry or of course. Left straight after didn't even buy a drink.

Great pub, went for a quick lunch bite. Front bar very family friendly. Dining in the rear lounge area. Menu not overwhelming and still a good choice. Delicious freshly cooked food, haddock and chips and buttermilk chicken breast burger. Friendly, warm service. Very clean toilets. Will be back. We'll worth a visit

Beer good staff friendly. Food disappointing. Chose basic food and chips terrible. They did replace the chips but they were not cooked properly and very greasy. Wouldn't eat there again.

Excellent food & atmosphere is what you get from this pub. We enjoyed a great bbq prior to an evening of live music. A great afternoon or evening out. Highly recommended.

Absolutely superb- scallops to start followed by home made , melt in the mouth, fish cake. The staff are fantastic and the food was amazing.

Very tasty home cooked food at an reasonable price. Service was excellent with a nothing is to much bother from Sarah & her team. Range of beers & ciders are good serviced in a friendly bar with prices that are fair, unlike other pubs no beers or spirits are overpriced. Highly recommended for food & a social beer.

We hired a room for a family party last night. The room was absolutely beautiful with all the decorations put up for us and the buffet was top quality, generous and beautifully presented. There was plenty left over and we'll all be nibbling on our doggy bag boxes today. Brilliant service from the lovely bar staff all evening too. Absolute 10 out of 10 for everything. Will certainly be doing this again for our next family celebration.😊 xx

Had a lovely Sunday lunch today, ample amounts of food, lots of fresh vegetables and the cauliflower cheese was delicious! Good range of drinks available. Staff were pleasent and all for a very reasonable price. Nice local pub, will be back soon.

Thank you. We will not be returning. It took over 1 hour to recieve our food. it was a fraction of what used to get. Almost 100 to leave not full. We had starter and sunday...[sorry no lamb just beef] 3 tables...4 were empty. The starter was good. The wine ordered did not come. Had to go to bar. Oh sorry..forgot. Lady next door sent hers back as cold. Guy with her said not enough. I agree. Last time this was amazing. In all it took 1 hour 35 mins for starter and main. Totally not on. Very very dissatisfied. Not going back. Wanted a desert but could not wait until midnight. These people need to get this sorted. Sorry...but this is as we feel now.

Nice place inside & staff are quite polite. Food was nice, but really wasn't impressed by how long we had to wait. Had been there an hour & half before any food arrived! Though to be fair, we had to wait over 30 mins for our order to be taken.

Came with the family for a meal today and whilst the staff were lovely and helpful, I’m afraid that was the highlight. Two of the main draft beers were off and the Pravha was on the turn. The food was average, although well plated. Starters tasted good, I will admit but the main course that followed was not. My partners lasagna was most likely microwaved as the pasta was rubbery in places and her chips were limp and not crisp at all either sadly. My roast wasn’t bad (apart from receiving a single frozen Yorkshire pudding) but both meals were under seasoned and nothing memorable. We’d heard good things about the food, having lived close to the village for some time but based on our experience, it’ll be a while before we think about visiting again. Can’t fault the staff or the service (they really were excellent) but both the beer and the food needs to be improved and considering that’s the only things a pub trades on, our experience was an average one.

A great local pub, we stopped for a couple of jars and were made most welcome . Love the spud shed and got some local Lincs spuds.

I like the chimney in winter, the coffee is great and fair price. I enjoyed the spanish evening but in my opinion it was too expensive. 20£ each for a shared plate for 4 people is a bit much. But I liked the atmosphere

First visit unfortunately it was for a wake. Staff were first class and nothing was to much trouble. I can't thank them enough after a loss of a great friend. Food was very good and staff were excellent many thanks. Will call in the near future, five stars from me.

Accommodating enough to seat us toward the end of service. Nice food, I had the sliders and meat was great, nice homemade burgers and great value. all the food we had was good and drinks were not too expensive. The service was good and the staff were friendly, biggest and only issue is it did feel bit like a creche with the young girl, possibly daughter of the owner in the restaurant seating area with toys and colouring books etc. Didn't really make for a comfortable meal for 2, neither did being greeted with the staff eating their dinner at the bar.

Excellent menu and beers and the portions are epic. Keep up the good work guys. Visited at the weekend with my sister and brother in law……three times actually lol

The Turks Head in Heighington Lincolnshire. The Turks Head is set in a lovely village and is a family friendly pub with restaurant. There’s plenty of seating inside and out with a separate bar area The food is outstanding and the drinks are reasonably priced I have found this to be one of the best places to visit in the area

I went for a meal with the folks they had fish and chips with fresh minted mushy peas I had the triple slider burger I chose the beef and blue cheese which was balanced perfectly the beef and and pulled pork and chicken and mayo lettuce everything cooked perfect and fresh great staff cost 54pounds for 3 big meals 2 pints premium lager and a double gin and ginger no probs staff highly recommended only minor one was the brioche rolls felt dry but that was prob due to extreme heat so highly recommended definitely go again got smoking area and car park set in a lovely village which is well worth a wonder looking at the lovely houses and stream overall 9.4 out of 10 many thanks see you soon

Lockdown setup was really good, pleasant outside area to sit in, staff were friendly enough and the Sunday Dinner wrap was excellent

Covid restrictions in place on the day were outdoor dining only max 6ppl, no complaints here. We had the beef giant Yorkshire raps and halloumi burgers. The wraps had the option of beef or pork, and came with a side of roast potatoes and gravy we all loved them. The halloumi burgers can with fries and coleslaw and we’re also lovely. We had a selection of cold alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks no complaints there the coke machine was broken but the repair guy turned up while we where there so clearly on top of things. The service was excellent, checked enough times to see everything was okay, if we needed anything. (Just the right amount of times not too little not too much) The price was reasonable for the area and quality and quantity was good for the price. Would happily come again.

Absolutely no attempt to follow the rules with people standing at the bar drinking and large groups at outdoor tables. Left as quickly as we could.

Had fantastic Haddock and Chips tonight. The fish was clearly very fresh and moist with a light crispy batter. Handcut chips cooked to perfection. I cant imagine how it could be improved.

Had a Sunday roast meal there which was lovely and a great price

We went here Saturday evening, the food was excellent. There was a guy called Leigh Hitch playing a guitar and singing, he was really good and it contributed to a very nice evening.

Pros: • Nice setting. • Friendly staff. • Reasonably priced. • Decent starters. Cons: • We turned up on time but our starters didn’t appear for another hour. To be fair, the gap between our starters and main meal wasn’t too bad. • The roast potatoes were underdone and the Yorkshire puddings were overdone; I could have more readily accepted this if it was the other way round. Our wait for the starter prevents me from rating this more than two stars as it’s not the first time we’ve had the same problem at the Turks Head. It’s a shame as there’s potential for a decent restaurant here.

Was here for a meal on valentines night with my hubby, sister and brother in law, staff were very pleasant and could not have done anymore than they did: service was spot on and the food was just delicious, would certainly recommend this pub to anyone who fancies a good meal in nice surroundings.

This looked like a popular locals' pub but we were given a friendly welcome by the member of staff and enjoyed a drink in this modern looking pub with chunky pine beams and pleasant décor. I don't know if the vegetable curry and three bean chilli are vegan friendly but there's a good chance they are, in addition to the classic jacket potato and beans with salad.

Good value lunch, excellent service

Although local to the village, I haven't eaten in the Turks for about 9 months so the chance to celebrate a friends 45th birthday offered an opportunity to try it again. We enjoyed a good meal last time we ate here but since then the chef has changed so we were interested to see how things had changed; we were not disappointed. Without exception, the food was excellent. We all ordered starters and mains. There is a decent selection including a lot of pub favourites so thre was plenty of choice. Wednesday night was also curry night so in addition there was also a selection of curries to choose from. I believe they also do other theme nights including a steak night. Among the mains we ordered were: local sausage and mash with onion gravy, chicken and ribs combo, madras curry, beer battered haddock and chips and lasagne with garlic bread. They were all beautifully cooked. The starters included potato skins with cheese and bacon (home made with 3 generous skins) and a brilliant half rack of ribs which were delicious. The service was really friendly, prompt and helpful. Only reason it's a 4 and not a 5 is there was no ice for the gin and tonics (!?) and no inclination to pop to the local shop to get any. The wine choice was also very limited but in fairness the Hardys red and whites were fine. £46 for 2 including drinks was good value. Definitely eat here more often, a gem in the village.

A real home made Sunday lunch with all the trimmings. We could not decide what meats to have so had a selection of chicken pork and lamb, all beautifully cooked. I need gluten free food and was looked after well. Incredible value for money too.We will definitely return

El área del bar es bastante pequeña pero acogedora, con una chimenea abierta en un extremo y las mesas servidas por una mezcla de sillas y taburetes.La gama de bebidas ofrecidas es realmente buena y, lo mejor de todo, los precios bajos. La decoración es agradable, con un ambiente más moderno que la mayoría de los pubs de las aldeas y todo estaba lo suficientemente limpio. No tuve la oportunidad de probar ninguna de las ofertas de comida, pero me encantaría volver a hacerlo y ¡recomendaría pasar por aquí!

The most memorable thing about this lovely pub was the wonderful bar staff. They were really welcoming and friendly, as well as superb at serving everyone quickly and keeping tables etc cleared and clean. The bar area is quite small but cosy, with an open fire at one end and the tables served by a mix of chairs and stools. The range of drinks offered is really good and best of all the prices low. The decor is nice with a more modern feel than most village pubs and everywhere was clean enough. I didn’t get the chance to sample any of the food offerings but I’d happily return to do so and I’d recommend stopping by!

Pub under fairly new management. Went for Sunday lunch before takeover and never went back. Now eat there regularly, especially Thursday night - Steak night. Not cheap but not expensive - middle of road. Very nice ambience and decor plus very nice waitresses. Another plus it is just down road from where I live - what more could you want? Update: sadly, after our last visit, had to take 2 stars away. Steak not good and unsavoury looking man, in a hoodie , sitting slumped at bar, not drinking, and making us feel very intimidated. Not good for business! Unfortunately, will not return.
