Nice food, better than most pub grub we've experienced recently. Good service and pleasant staff. Definitely visit again.

Stopped here for a bit of lunch and a break from our journey with a baby, this seemed like the perfect option as it had soft play for our 10 month old to play in. Greeted by Kelsey, she was very attentive and great with our baby. Kelsey was cleaning and interacting with us throughout our entire time here. About halfway through though we witnessed a very unpleasant interaction with who I assumed was her manager. Mid way us eating he came into the the room, handed Kelsey a piece of paper and was very passive aggressive with her stating that she had a bad review and ‘you are always just sat on your ass doing nothing on your phone’. This wasn’t what we had experienced with Kelsey and found this extremely unprofessional! We felt incredibly awkward, it felt as if he wanted to embarrass her infront of customers. Bad management skills, if you have a problem with a member or staff, take the usual route and arrange a meeting to discuss it! Would have been a 5* if this interaction hadn’t happened as we had a great time otherwise.

Visited with friends for lunch. Waited 45 mins for meal. Toilets disgusting: door doesn’t lock; toilet paper feeder blocked; loo seat not secure.

Went for lunch, we had the gluten free bacon cheese burger and burger sizzler combo, both were delicious and could tell they had been cooked fresh. Service was exceptional, the manager took our order at the till and was extremely helpful with recommending alternative gluten free sides with the burger. Would highly recommend.

Ordered the 3 x 5oz gammon steak, along with corn on the cob and fries. I fully understand that this is a very cheap and cheerful place to eat, but while away with work, and being stuck at a service station hotel, we had very limited choice. Although the food came quickly, I think I may have preferred it hadn’t. The gammon was raw, and I mean raw! 2 of them were ok, just, but the 3rd was completely raw through to the middle. Took it back to the bar, and to be fair, bar staff took it from me, and returned it to the kitchen, promising a full fresh cooked meal to follow. Which they did. Nothing other than that though. I was told by management that I could have a free coffee or soft drink if I wished on the house. All in all, I wouldn’t bother.

can’t fault the cleanliness and food / beer options here. Some great family deals particularly when cost of living is high! great to meet friends and let the kids play either on the soft play or outdoors and burn some energy! staff all friendly and will accommodate as much as possible! good visit 👍🏻

The place is awesome. Went as a group and really enjoyed the food and dessert. The staff were amazing and went beyond to meet our needs.

Visited on Monday evening for some food and I can’t fault the service and atmosphere (and the food!). We had a lovely waitress, Paula, who was lovely and attentive and we were really impressed with the level of service here. Will definitely be going back soon!

I took my family out for a Sunday roast and have never felt so embarrassed or upset with the standard of the meal. It had to be the worst roast dinner ever put in front of us. The beef was disgusting. Their was not even one slice of beef it was all bits and gristle. The carrots were raw, and to top it all we had to wait 1 hour for the meal to be served. Needless to say, I will not be returning

Came here when staying at the local hotel Monday evening. The staff were pleasent and helpful and there was a lovely atmosphere about the place. Monday night is the grill offer, there was plenty of choice and the food was actually delicious. I wasn't expecting too much with it being a "chain" but I was pleasantly surprised. I will be making sure to visit again when I'm next in the area.

The assistant manager, Katie, what more can I say, she is every customers dream, warm, welcoming and Knowledgable, its like she understood my family and is fantastic with children. I visit The Gamekeeper most weeks with 2 gentleman I work with who have learning disabilities. The staff are always really friendly and chatty and the food is always great and comes out very promptly after ordering. Can't fault this place.
