We dropped in for Sunday lunch, as we were staying on the campsite behind the pub. We were warmly welcomed, our drinks order taken at the bar and our food order taken at our table. My wife chose the roast lamb and I had the pork - there are also the options of beef or chicken, plus a vegetarian roast. We chose the standard sized meals not knowing how large they would be. Well, take a look at the attached photos! We were stunned and you can even add another Yorkshire pudding for a quid! The quality of the food was excellent and I can honestly say that this was the first roast I have eaten in nearly 65 years that had ten, (yes, ten!) accompanying portions of vegetables! To say we were stuffed would be an understatement. For those who don’t fancy trying the standard plateful, there is a slightly smaller offering for a quid or so less. Either way, you get a great roast meal for a really reasonable price. For two roasts and two soft drinks, we paid £30.15, which in anyone’s book, is a real deal. Neither of us could manage a dessert, but there are some lovely options! Last, but definitely not least, the staff were lovely and very attentive. We would definitely recommend this pub for a cracking good meal.

When you walk in you are acknowledged and welcomed. Ian is a star in keeping his beers in tip top condition whereas Jackie runs the kitchen with speed and efficiency. The food is real - not boil in the bag and the variation in specifically theme nights every week means you don’t get tired of the menus. This pub is a must if you are within 30 miles its well worth a visit. You won’t be disappointed.

On our way to Lincoln but got stranded due to floods and blocked roads. Saw the White Swan Inn So popped in and asked could we possibly stay the night on the carpark in our motorhome. No hesitation,we were welcomed and given perfect directions on how to avoid floods in the morning. We ate a very large delicious piping hot Roast meal with a big jug of gravy. Washed down with great beers. Lovely atmosphere, very reasonable price for the food and drinks. Back to the motorhome with our new directions to Lincoln. Slept like logs. Will definitely call back and really recommend The White Swan for great food and great hosts.

Afternoon tea consisted of 3 tiny finger sandwiches, a tiny falafel and fish cake, a quarter of a wrap, one scone and a tiny triangle of brownie! It was pathetic and the older lady in charge spoke to the young staff members like a battle axe demanding them to do things! £40 for afternoon tea for two was daylight robbery! I’ve paid less and got a lot more!

A Delightful Surprise with Great Ambience and Homely Flavours I had the pleasure of visiting this charming pub quite unexpectedly, and it turned out to be a delightful experience. The ambience was warm and inviting, complemented by a well-curated music playlist that set the perfect mood for the evening. We ordered the steak and the Kerala beef curry served with rice, pappadam, and chutney. As someone from Kerala, I was genuinely impressed by how closely the curry resembled the homestyle flavours I grew up with. While it wasn’t overly spicy, the taste was deeply comforting and familiar—very much like something my mother would make. The lemon pickle, in particular, stood out with its authenticity and brought back nostalgic memories. Overall, it was a lovely spot with great food, an atmosphere, and a surprising touch of home.

This is such a lovely place. Right in the craft centre, you can sit in the cafe, in the covered courtyard or outside. Dogs aren't allowed in so a chilly or hot day might put people off but it's a lovely place to stop and have lunch while visiting the craft shops .

Called in for food for me and my work colleagues this morning, ordered three large sandwiches, on mine I asked for a menu extra which was black pudding. I got back to work and sat to eat my sandwich and found that the (approx.) 9" long bloomer had only two slices of bacon, two sausages and one piece of black pudding. Don't get me wrong, the food was hot, freshly cooked, and nice, but the issue was that there was too much bread and not enough filling. Come on guys, if you're charging for extras, then at least put more than one in. The single slice of black pudding was lost in the size of the sandwich. Just feel let down by what could easily be much better.

Great experience, always wanted to stop while commuting to work. Visited around 15:00 hrs, wasn’t busy. Manager was extremely helpful and polite, offered different choices as I wasn’t very hungry. French toast was delicious. Extensive menu choices, felt like you are stopping over in town one of the restaurants in US.
