Papa John's Pizza in Newark and Sherwood

I put in a delivery preorder for 3:30pm (the earliest available time, as for some reason if you preorder before the store is open it doesn't let you enter a general "asap") but really wasn't concerned about it arriving at that exact time. Missed a call from the restaurant on my way home, I'm assuming to apologise for my delivery being late... It turned up at 3:36, with the driver apologising for the delay. A whole six minutes! Hardly a delay at all. Pizza was fresh and piping hot. Can't fault it. Thank you for going the extra mile.

Halloumi fries were wrong, some kind of mozzarella thing. And the chicken wings were absolutely stone cold. Not good at all.

They print something and when you ask for it, it turns out they are more than what was advertised on their flyers

Super yummy!!! Great cheesy chicken papa bites with garlic and herb dip. Also, super chicken poppers with a tomato and herb dip. Cinnapie sticks for dessert!!! Love life again!!!

Lovely food but just eat app is still playing up. Plus, I got custard instead of a garlic sauce so I don’t want custard to my pizza. I don’t like the combination of custard and pizza.

Just waited and hour and a half for food. Called to ask where it was and they didn't have our order even though we had email confirmation and they'd taken money. Told us we had to email them to get a refund and they wouldn't be delivering our food. No delivery even if we sent email proof that we'd ordered and paid! How does that make sense? I've waisted all evening waiting for them and now have no food. The worst customer support. Go somewhere else.

This was an amazing takeaway to get food from, with all the options listed on a large menu at the counter! My Chicken, Peso and Garlic Pizza was delicious and hot, served in due time too.

Big shout out to Newark Papa Johns. Once again Just Eat messed up but the customer service from here was second to none. Always good food but thanks for even better service!

Not sure why they offer delivery if your going to wait 90mins for your order. Also got our order wrong both times we used them... won't be a third

Undercooked pizza, not even tomato sauce on it. Barely any toppings. Called and complained, dispatched with replacements received an hour later. Still undercooked but at least it had tomato sauce this time. Still hardly any toppings, got a free drink to apologise but considering how many times this PJ has got the order wrong, late or downright inedible now, we won’t ever order from here again. I advise you don’t either, if you want a decent pizza delivery, call Grilliano’s in Newark.

Collected 2 large pizzas and both were tasty

Ordered 2 pizzas and a bottle of coke. It came 1hr 40 min later, pizza was cold, no drink, asked the delivery man for a refund he wouldn't do it, couldnt communicate then we politely asked if he could go and get our bottle of coke hasnt done it . I will NOT be returning there you have lost me as a customer.

Waited over an hour, food arrived cold. Thin crust isn't thin. Ingredients aren't spread across the pizza instead just dumped on the pizza in one place. To top it off the delivery driver was entirely unable to take any instruction and just calls you acting like a helpless child unable to find a house number, then once we've gone to collect it from the driver because he was too helpless to bring it to the front, he calls back equally helpless and pathetic because it's somehow our job to help him get out of the “court” we live in....meanwhile if had just read the instructions from the beginning there would be no problem, every other delivery person has been able to do it.

The second time me food had come cold the first time they didn’t even send me food I had to go get it me self the food is the worse place I eat in over 10 year the staff are rude and I’ll never be order from this papa Johns again . If you like cold pizza that been stood for 40 min before it’s sent o it order but it’s not for me I’ll be going to another pizza place that give me hot pizza and hot sides !!

Terrible place, order pizza and get wrong ingredients, manager offers free replacement next time but when you try to claim it no one knows anything and won’t honour the agreement. Lies and cheats

We have just had a Papa Johns delivery, 2 small pizzas. They were delicious! Some of the best pizzas we’ve had for a long time. Delivery was quick and painless. Will definitely be using them again.

I was quite disappointed with my latest order. I ordered BBQ jerk chicken, and it came in plain. Ordered 7up as a drink, and received pepsi max. I would really need to be desparate next time for pizza to order from them again

Very slow. Lied to me multiple times when asking where my food was. Waited almost 2 hours for lukewarm food.

First time here with my wife to get a takeaway and we had a giant pizza (works), not only delicious but very reasonable. The garlic sauce was however inedible and we should have gone for the bbq sauce instead. We would gladly return here again when in town.

Learn to read!!!! On the pizza box and on receipt it states no onion!!!! Which is alergen! Ant then after multiple attempts to call, no answer.

Half the order was completely wrong, no one answered the phone for 30 mins and so couldn’t put it right. When they finally did answer the phone they claimed the menu on the papa John’s website was wrong and not them. Rubbish food and terrible service.... Dominos is much better.

Only place for vegan and gluten free pizza nearby - kept us going over the last 12 months!

I live about 15 steps away from the tore but ordered delivery as I was in mandatory quarantine. Delivery (after completion of making) took 40 minutes and pizza arrived cold - on a Tuesday night with no football on. Poor.

Occasionally very good pizza, however had to ring tonight because the BBQ pizza arrived without the drizzle and other toppings. They was great on the phone and the replacement promptly arrived drowning in BBQ sauce, couldn't see any other colour. Note to others, accept what you are given first time.

Ordered a 241 sausage and pepperoni large, very disappointed as onky 7 pieces of pepperoni and 14 pieces of very small sausage bits, not happy at all

Honestly some of the best pizza I've had. When errors made they are quick redress them. Highly recommend Sadly this is no longrer valid. Pizza tonight had raw dough. Called the store. Had a staff member being pednatic saying if the dough was raw it means its not been in the oven. Offered to replace only one, the second pizza. We had only 1 bite each. Of the 1st pizza i'd eatten one slice and my man had 2/3of a slice I tried a second slice only managed 2/3, my man managed only a 1/4 of the second slice. We then a gcse D grade Drama performance, he was "crying" saying he was being threatened! Threaterned for being pedantic? Actually sounds an appropiate respones - JOKE Manager, normal extemely good said he sort it tomorrow. Longest delivery I've had 24 hours.

Delivery takes between 1-2 hours and staff don't understand the different dietary options. We have recieved both dairy free pizzas with cheese and vegetarian pizzas with meat on before. When we rang up, the member of staff had the cheek to tell us we have to ask for the vegan toppings despite that being precisely what the website offers on the pizza we had selected. Even if you eat meat, these guys seem clueless and lazy. Wouldn't recommend this branch. Take your business to domino's.

My Dad and I had a Vegan pizza and it was fantastic! Not my preferred flavour as I've never liked the meat pizzas but the Sheese, sauce and base were fab! My dad isn't Vegan and loved it!

Great pizza delivery service in Newark. Possibly the best taste too. Only issues were I wanted to buy via website due to the offers, normal employee didnt give that offer to me even though I was stood in front of them? So I ordered it on line there and then. No difference?

Food was okay, but the delivery driver didn't have ANY change on him (not even pennies) despite claiming we were his first delivery of the night, so we couldn't get any change. We also received the wrong drinks. When I called about the drinks, I was told that they didn't have the ones we ordered in stock, so they subbed them instead without telling us. This was really frustrating and has made me reconsider ordering again.

Nice and fast service, something worth recommending. Unfortunately, the pizza was not to my taste.

Unbelievably poor website, they don't update their opening times and will quite happily take the money for an order and cancel it while still holding on to your cash for up to a week. I was left for over 4 hours without any information from the store. Absolute piss take, will not use again.

Really friendly customer service, the staff work really hard and make great pizza. As the other reviews say, certainly best pizza shop in town. And maybe one of the best in the country!

By far and away the best Hawaiian pizza i have ever had.

Food was not the best. Took over an hour to arrive, only just warm and hardly any toppings! One piece of pineapple per slice (ham and pineapple) and a couple of jalapenos per slice (american hot) Doubt I'll order from here again

Ordered a few times from here before. I can't recall a time when something been wrong. Missing sides, missing extra dips, long delivery times. If these things were sorted out, would be one of the best pizza places in town. Pizzas are great and I love the jalapeno you get in the box, a nice touch.

Ewwwww - without doubt the most disgusting food I have ever attempted to eat. Delivery 5.20 pm, delivery into the bin 5.23pm, 2 x medium shitslops and the wet dog one is something that will live with me for too long #minging

Ordered 7.40pm, rang upto 7 times after 2 hours to be told they are busy, had already paid via bank card. Pizza arrived stone cold and rock hard, rang again, said I will have replacement sent to me, cus heck we are still frigging hungry. So far 3hours has passed its 22.26 and store closes at 23.00. Does not look good, this is my 1st time ever trying Papa John's and most likely my last. If I could give zero stars I would. Not happy wanted hot takeaway meal for my hubby before he started work.
