Lovely venue and great & friendly service. It was a Sunday and no steak on the menu ( Sunday lunch menu of course ) and I was craving a T-bone steak 🥩 onion rings and Stilton sauce - no worries though, the waiter offered to buy the chef a beer and in no time at all I was tucking into a medium rare T-bone steak- delicious 😋 … Fantastic service and made my day ! Anna had fish and chips which were also super tasty. Thanks Farndon Ferry team 🥳 we will return soon with the rest of the family now we’ve found you

Absolutely gorgeous Sunday roast, best we’ve had ever! Service spot on with lovely staff and great atmosphere. The breads and dipping with garlic as a starter was beautiful too! Great value, and lovely views of the river, will definitely be back x

Great food and service, we went during a quiet time so can't really comment on atmosphere as there was hardly anyone around!

We had our wedding here in August 2024, was absolutely amazing from start to end. Jane was brilliant supporting with the planning, Leonardo on the day making sure it all went smoothly and the entire bar staff (colby and the team - couldn’t get all their names), nothing was too much, all of our guests said the service they all experienced was top class. The food service by the skilled kitchen staff was just beautiful no complaints at all. So thankful we found this place for our special day! Thank you to the entire team x

A favourite restaurant when I visit my Dad in Lincoln - great food and atmosphere, but exceptional service from Colby this evening. If every restaurant had a Colby then the hospitality industry would be in a lot better state - friendly, polite, smiley, engaging. Made the evening. Thank you

A pretty extensive menu, with great British classics and really well done vegetarian options. Very personable and attentive staff. A lovely place to relax by the river.

On the day that we went poor planning let the place down. The staff were very understanding and trying their best and explained the situation and were lovely throughout, the food was good as well. However, poor planning from management meant that the place was understaffed and overfilled leading to very long wait times.

Went today such a lovely place food excellent the staff so accommodating and helpful. We give them all 5 stars colby Lillie and Toby the chef excellent from knightly and jess parnell xxxxx

Excellent meal out at the Farndon Ferry. Great food and service. Staff really welcoming and catered to all of our requirements and were above and beyond in every way. I don’t drink alcohol so the mock tales were fab. Definitely worth a trip for any meal.

Brilliant place had lunch outside next to the river from the early bird menu absolutely delicious belly pork followed by sticky toffee pudding with ice cream

We celebrated my birthday at the Farndon Ferry on Bank Holiday Monday. There were 20 adults and 2 dogs and we had a fabulous time. All the meals were delicious, served at the same time, the staff couldn’t do enough for us and we never felt rushed to give the table up. Can’t fault Jane and her staff for making my birthday so relaxed and comfortable. They did a magnificent job keeping everyone happy and not a single negative comment from the whole of our group! Thank you so very much x

A great afternoon tea for 30 people with Tom Nicholson providing the live music. Perfect music, food, drink and service. We had the best afternoon party and would like to thank Tom Jane Leonardo and all the ferry staff very much indeed

Along with Tom Nicholson (brilliant singer and entertainer) Farndon Ferry, Jane, Leonardo and the team were absolutely amazing. We had afternoon tea for 30+ people and they ensured everything went smoothly. The food, drink and service were first class. i would highly recommend this treat to others. Many thanks to you all.

Staff brilliant but food a bit slow to be served but was delicious. I wish there weren't dogs in the bar area as soon as you walk in. Partner is allergic to dogs and we both hate it when we are eating and hear a dog barking in the same room as happened whilst we were there.

Great location by the river. If you don't want to be disappointed, make sure you book a table in advance. Excellent set menu with not your average meal choices. Plenty of parking with eating options inside and out.

Really enjoyed my visit here. Food was lovely, well presented, and well cooked. Staff were friendly, attentive, and professional. The atmosphere I can only describe as restaurant vibe with relaxing features, love the fairy lights, background music that was just loud enough to hear without being intrusive. All in all a great experience. I will be back again

Came for breakfast, wow it was delicious 😋. We will definitely be back. Amazing deals on menus. Dog friendly and you can sit inside, in a designated area which looked lovely. Right by the river and walks for your fur baby. Great outside sitting/eating areas. Staff very welcoming and friendly.

I only had a snack as it was just a quick family get together, but the service was quick and friendly and what I had was nice. Going back in a couple of weeks for Sunday lunch. It's in a lovely setting too so will be lovely in the summer!

Not far removed from an epic Sunday Lunch, I still find myself smiling at a wonderful afternoon. Jane and Grace were a pure delight to interact with. 20/10 for customer service! Food was fab! I highly recommend the Ultimate Sunday Platter 😋. Thanks and we'll see you soon! Cheers!

Went here for breakfast. 8 people and only 7 meals came out. Wondering where mine was and thought everybody is near on finished I asked and was told they forgot and it will be taken off the bill.when it came out the bacon was crispy the beans was cold the fried bread was dry and when I cut it it just smashed into bits.the toast was a normal thin slice from the bread bin where as everyone's was nice thick and fresh.it was burnt on 1 side and white on the other but the egg was lovely.i think they just forgot it was still in the kitchen. My wife told me not to complane as we was not getting charged for mine. Came to pay the bill of £75 pound and the waitress told us about a 10% service charge is normal. Obviously I didn't pay this but the transport got that when we left. Thanks

Visited with friends and had a lovely meal. Great atmosphere and plenty of room inside. Good menu choice and great location with river views. We will definitely return.

We had an amazing experience dinning here! There was a mistake with our table and we waited very long time for our food to arrive, however the manager came to our table to apologise for the inconvenience of being waiting a lot longer than all other costumers. She offered us 50% off of the total of our bill, this is what I think that is a 5 starts service, compensating the costumers appropriately for a mistake made by the restaurant. The food was delicious, from starters to mains, to desserts and also the drinks. Specially the vegetarian roast it was incredible. We were 8 people and everyone loved their food. All the staff is very friendly and polite. We had a great time, our table it was located by the window with a view of the river. We live in London but as soon as we have a change we certainly will be returning, we left with the feeling that we would love to try everything from the menu.

Not bad but Christmas dinner at £90 a head could have been better.

Very nice coffee and toasted teacakes. Coffee was lovely and hot and tasted very good. Teacakes nicely toasted and served with proper butter, yummy 😋

Breakfast this morning was brilliant :) we met up this morning with family and picked the farndon ferry as it was about half way between us both, very friendly staff and a great breakfast with great service , and thankfully the flooding had subsided so that the car park was usable:)

The food was fantastic, and the staff were very polite & helpful, when we could get hold of them. In a case of bad timing, we'd booked a table for 2 to have a quiet meal, but on the night of their Winter Ball, so the rest of the entire room we were in was one large, noisy group. This (& the DJ) meant it was hard to be heard, and although all of the staff were doing their best, it was hard for us to get their attention. I would go again, but I'd perhaps ring in advance to make sure it wasn't a big party night.

Table booked for 6.30 (included 5 children). Terrible service! After initial drink, no one came to see our if anyone wanted anymore drinks. No one asked if food was ok. Food was delayed. Main course came out in dribs and drabs. Some people had finished eating just as other people’s food arrived. The 3 courses took 3 hours!!! A few of our party had to leave before dessert as the kids were tired as it was so late. Food generally ok. Pudding - chocolate fondant was dry. When we got the bill and complained about all the issues, the manager literally said nothing and then walked off! No apology, no discount, no words!

We celebrated our wedding with 50 odd guests on Sat 25th Nov. The saff were brilliant. The food was amazing and the atmosphere just perfect. The table settings looked great. We had a very memorable, chilled day thanks to Dah, Jane and the team. Katie was especially attentive.

My lovely husband and daughters treated me to my 66th birthday lunch here today. If i could give more stars i would !!! We were greeted by the lovely Jo who made us feel like VIP's. She went above and beyond. Her customer skill are amazing. The 2 young lady waitresses were polite and efficient and very well managed. 10/10 food. Perfect presentation. Flavours were incredible. Food was hot. We were given just the right amount of time between courses. My family provided a birthday cake which was bought out with all 3 ladies singing and other tables joined in. Wow i felt special. This was one of my best experiences for a birthday meal out. Well done everyone. We will be back.

Being perfectly honest we have avoided going here for quite a while after a couple of disappointing visits but we're so happy to see they've really turned it around. We dined as a family of 4 and we all couldn't fault our starters or mains. Service was excellent, friendly and efficient. It's always been a beautiful restaurant but now happily the food and service match the surroundings. Homemade food and beautifully presented. We live in Farndon so we're so happy and will be dining there a lot more frequently. Thank you Farndon Ferry.

Lovely friendly staff, let me charge my bike battery whilst dining. Fish n chips were tasty and a big portion for bargain price at moment. Friend enjoyed his Cumberland sausage.

3 people in our party had the tye fish curry all had food poisoning. 2days later and still no answer from management.3cant be coincidence. It cost £60 to be sick ect. Be nice for some answer. 😡

Visited for lunch during up to 50% menu. Nice setting by the river. We enjoyed 3 courses. The food was good, we all sampled each others. The only thing I would return for was the fish and chips, the batter was lovely and light.

Lovely place and a nice breakfast the big breakfast is massive I could only manage half, opted for the smaller one on my next visit and was a perfect size for me. The staff are lovely and your made to feel so welcome

We sat by a huge table of people, we were a table of 4, and everyone was mingling around the table, not relaxing at all. I had the Thai red curry, which was just a big bowl of soup, with no rice, very difficult to eat, and messy. Service was very hit and miss.

Went for a pint with my little boy. Didn't eat so won't comment on that. Staff seemed friendly enough and atmosphere seemed good. Great location on the river front 👌

We went with a group of people and had a great meal. Service was good, serving staff were excellent. The only slight drawback was that the room we occupied had a lowish ceiling and with lots of people talking it was very noisy. But that did mean that everyone was having a good time.

Having just moved to the area, we took our parents to this pub/restaurant. We had starters which were delicious and a Sunday roast which was delicious and the Beef was so tender. I go to say I have not had such a good Sunday lunch for a very long time but this one hit the bullseye. On top of great food we literally had fantastic service from the team especially Emily our waitress. Every part of the service was how all pubs and restaurants should be like. Having just retired from working and running pubs for 50 years I can honestly say this visit was truly amazing. Well done to the managers and the team. Thank you Colin George 👍

Nice location with friendly staff and very good food. We had steaks which were cooked exactly as ordered.

Decided to come here for my birthday meal after hearing good thoughts about the place. I had my toddler with my whilst my friend had her toddler too. On and off they would happily sit and watch nursery rhymes to keep them occupied whilst they ate, or they'd fuss and whinge. Like any normal child. My little boy is a big fan of his veg and ate a decent amount of his dinner and I requested could he have some more peas. A good thing he eats veg right? But an extra £4 on the bill for a small portion of peas?! Is just extortionate. Especially when the waiter clearly new I stated they'd be for my child. An extra couple of ££ fine but £4 was almost the amount of his full kids meal. We had a lovely meal ourselves but that's just unheard of. The atmosphere was also somewhat uncomfortable and unnerving as a woman was seen giving orders to young girls and tables where shifted and moved around constantly to accommodate for people, when at one point a young member of staff fell down whilst carrying and moving a table and not one of her colleagues helped her up! How kind. 🤔 The food, delicious. The service and atmosphere, meh. I wouldn't take your kids if they make noises because you'll get looked at funny.
