The best restaurants in Mansfield East Midlands

We have had a few meals from here & usually very good, however last night I ordered a chicken chow mein but received a pork chow mein, it was absolutely loaded with bean sprouts, far too many, absolutely spoilt the taste, the last 2 I have had have been like this, really really disappointed, so different in taste I thought they had changed owners !!! No more for me, I’ll be going elsewhere from now on

10/10. Always perfect; never any mistakes with my regular orders even with some modifications, no matter the day of the week. Always top quality, tastes great & piping hot (especially on collection) - most of the time you can see them tubbing it up straight from the pans. Great team.

Booked a Friday morning breakfast with a friend. I had beans on toast, I asked for only one slice of toast, no butter as Im on a diet but asked for a poached egg extra. Was surprised I was charged £1.50 for the egg. For £6.50 plus £1.50 = £8 for one small slice of toast, a small tub of beans and one egg is too much plus having to pay 10% service charge. If it was more reasonably priced and you got a larger serving Id say Id go more regular but at that price its a luxury. Theres alot of places close by where you get just as good service and venue.

Started coming to this pub quite regularly. The staff are very friendly and there’s always a lovely atmosphere. The Katsu chicken is my favourite item on the menu with a side of onion rings. I was served by Brad today and he gave excellent service and always recommends the best dishes on the menu. Would 100% recommend for any occasion!

Actually awful. No customer service what so ever. No one checks up on tables/ customers. The food was almost inedible. I'm pretty sure the pizza was from a box, and the texture of the braised beef was that of cat food. Extremely salty. The beef, the sauce, and the veg. It's not worth the money or time. We originally wanted dessert, but no one could even be bothered to take our plates or check on us, so we left.

We called in last might,not been for a while We were disappointed, it was like being in a nursery, I know it's family friendly but children were riding toys around in the lounge area I have nothing against children at all But surely it is best ti restrict them to a children's area along with their parents The drinks were well kept , we didnt eat. Dought if well return, sorry

Hour wait for food. When it finally arrived it was over cooked. Tried to get a replacement and was gas lighted by the chef. When the replacement arrived 15 minutes later it was different from what previously arrived (chunky chips instead of fries, grisly rump steak instead of sirloin and tiny peppercorn sauce instead of the big one that arrived first. All was done out of spite because I dared to ask for a replacement. Overall not the best experience doubt we would have been treated like this if we were locals! People of colour beware. Overall atmosphere is poor.

Had a lovely chicken roast dinner here today, beautiful cooked and excellent service, you won’t be disappointed. I hope you are hungry because the portion sizes are very generous.

Maybe we came at a bad time. Place was empty at 6 pm. The fish was cooked from frozen and was not great. My son had the big breakfast and sausages looked a bit cheap. I had huntsman chicken which was ok but not great. Chairs were wooden and uncomfortable. Suggest they invest in cushions at least, maybe some soft music. Sorry.

Ordered a takeaway for delivery in the evening. Incredibly switched on, for price and the delicious food that was delivered ahead of their expected delivery time. My wife thought it was the best Indian food she’d had since visiting India many years ago. I agreed, and we eat Indian food often in the UK and Spain.

Lovely evening, nice atmosphere,great food and service as always. We visit Coopers often and have not had bad service since the new landlord has taken over. The pub is thriving and its great to see Thank you
