Talbot Inn in Mansfield

Came in for some drinks which was good value for money and affordable! Was convinced to get some food by Peter which was divine. The facilities were clean and it was easy to use their parking facilities. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff provided us with great customer service, shall return again soon and highly recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat or even just for a few drinks

I came in on Sunday and Eve and Ciara served me on the bar. The customer service was brilliant and the staff were lovely. I had 3 of the small plates and the food was delicious and presented well. The parking was very spacious and the beer garden was particularly clean. Overall a good experience and I would visit again!

Went in with a few friends and we rarely go out in mansfield. Whilst we were in there we got the nicest greetings. We go served by Brad and he went above and beyond all night. We also got served by a woman named Courtney I believe, She was so chatty and polite and they both made our night better. Would 100% go back there :)

Popped in for our regular weekend meal with my friends, Food was beautifully cooked and was on my table within 25 minutes 😊 Was served by Brad and the service was so quick and easy, He also showed me how to use the Greene king app so I don't have to leave my table, What lovely friendly staff they have at this pub. Will still be returning for my regular meal out

Nice pub with intimate areas, plenty of room between tables. Good range of beers and big choice of branded spirits. Food is of good quality and great value too. Staff friendly and efficient. Outdoor seating area inviting. Thanks

Parking spaces available although having to put number plate in at the bar. Toilets could be better but overall good condition. Bar staff friendly and very approachable, kitchen staff clearly understand the menu. Best meal I have ever had, massive improvement over this last couple of months

Came for lunch on Monday and was served by Courtney she was absolutely amazing checked we had everything, the atmosphere in there was so cheerful. Will definitely be coming again with the kids soon

Me and my partner came for a small bite to eat before I made him go shopping. As soon as we arrived we was greeted by a lovely young lady who I believe was named Courtney. The food was served quickly and hot. Amazing atmosphere in there. See you soon

Popped into the talbot for a quick bite to eat on thursday night bar staff were so helpfull and polite and the food was amazing we only had a few small plates between the two off us but the service from start to finish was very good and amazing value we will be returning very soon

Car parking was very good and close to the pub, all facilities were clean and well maintained. Served by Ciara who was lovely and really helpful, so will be coming back soon!

Came in for food Friday lunch time and was served by Brad. I had a katsu curry and a pint of madri. The food was delicious. I was reminded by him to enter my registration at the bar, making it really easy to use the parking. I must say that the facilities were spotless during my visit and I was provided with a brilliant atmosphere and lovely relaxing music from all genres and decades. It was super easy whilst ordering at the bar and Brad provided excellent customer service throughout my stay. Would highly recommend and the young gentlemen deserves praise for his brilliant work! Keep it up

I came in on Wednesday evening for a date and was served by Brad and Courtney. The food was delicious, I was reminded to enter my registration at the bar for parking in the car park. The facilities were clean and the atmosphere was beautiful! It was so easy to order at the bar and was given amazing customer service. Hats off to these two for making the first date not so scary! I’ll see you again for the second date ☺️

The Talbot was appalling this evening and ruined Mother's Day. Food was variously frozen, served haphazardly, small childeren waiting over 50 minutes for food that was largely inedible. Recompense was made, but future custom completely out of the question

Me and my niece had a very nice meal i had a chicken curry and Siobhan had a tasty cheese burger and chips .

We come here quiete often, Ate here today, food was very tasty I had the Katsu curry, and a pint of Guinness, Brad looked after us, he always makes us feel welcome, thankyou

Came in for some drinks and had the three small plates for £12.50. Food was great and the service that came with it was even better! Alyssa went above and beyond. The parking was easy to understand and the facilities were clean and it was super easy to order, I will definitely be back soon!

Came in today before the stats game and it was rammed! Easy to park my car in the car park and register it at the bar. Despite it being really busy I was able to get served within an appropriate time frame and the food I ordered was amazing so hats off to the chef/chefs. The red head behind the bar was lovely and gave amazing service and the facilities were still clean and tidy despite the mass of people on the pub

Came for food and drinks with some family and friends. It was easy to park the car and register it at the bar as it is clearly signed and well lit with signs outside and inside the pub. The customer service was amazing and i was served by Brad and Alyssa. The drinks were perfect and were complimented nicely by the wonderful atmosphere. Came here for a few drinks and light bites with my boyfriend today whilst the football was on and I had lovely customer service by Bradley one of the amazing bar staff! He was so lovely and approachable, our experience was 10/10! Will definitely become our first choice place to watch the footy!

When I went in for food, Brad served me and the service was amazing. It helped that he was bringing absolutely delicious food as well. The pub itself is immaculate and always lovely to go to.

I came in on Monday and Brad & Alyssa served me. They provided me with brilliant customer service all through my time in the pub. I had the cheese and bacon burger and it was cooked to perfection. The drinks are full of flavour and served by the best staff in the industry. Definitely the best pub to be at in Mansfield at the minute! Keep it up guys as your hard work is paying off. Lovely pub and lovely atmosphere but was shocked when I got a fine for parking in the pub carpark after spending a couple of hours in there. Didn't realise you had to register your car at the bar, and didn't see any signs.

Shared a good evening with work colleagues just before christmas.My wife picked me up later, all good. However come the new year parking fine of £100 lands on my doormat from Talbot car park. My wife waited only 15 mins to pick me up, there was no word from staff as to the registering of number plates, cameras etc and who honestly thinks to look for cameras in a pub car park. We feel very done by the experience, so customers please be aware.

Great Hospitality A local pub, never before visited, but dog friendly so decided to stop in and have a late lunch. First, a friendly welcome with a smile at the bar by the Chef, always a good start to be actually made to feel welcome. The pub was not to busy, the facilities were clean, tidy and homely. A typical pub menu, with reasonable choice. Served again by the lovely lady Chef, hot, presented nicely and tasted great - award winning pies and great fish and chips. Good value for money - well worth a visit … Remember to put your vehicle registration number in the machine at the bar …

I came in on Tuesday and was served by Courtney and Brad. The quality of the food was amazing, the drinks were perfect. I enjoyed the service I was given and even got table service at some points as it was quieter than expected. The atmosphere was relaxed and homely, and I was made feel very welcome from beginning to end. Would highly recommend this establishment and these 2 young workers as they went above and beyond for everyone in the pub

DON'T GET CAUGHT OUT ON THE CAR PARK! Went here late one evening for the 1st time,was dark,car park wasn't well lit up & didn't see the signs to say you have to give your car registration details and 2 months later had a fine of a £170! Being disabled I was shocked! Emailed green king,with little success in a reply, never mind an apology! Will think again about going to green king pubs in the future 😡

Wasn’t too impressed when I visited with some family today. This was our first visit to this place and will be our last! The mixed grill I ordered was only half cooked, the dish for the peppercorn sauce was extremely hot which were not warned about. The top it all off our server has to be one of the rudest people I’ve met. So disinterested and uncaring so we didn’t bother complaining we just left quietly never to return. One last thing is we were not told about the parking, wasn’t until we were leaving I noticed we had to enter our reg into a tablet to get a permit. Saved £100 no thanks to the staff.

Be careful using the car park. My daughter visited the pub and was told that the IPad to record car registration plates was broken and not to worry about parking. She then received a PCN in the post from Britannia Parking demanding £100. She had a receipt, but the pub staff said there is nothing they can do. I've since learned the same thing has happened to a lot of people. You've been warned!

Visited the Talbot on Saturday 9/9/23 with a few friends. We had some light bites off the menu which we enjoyed. The lovely manager Peter even brought the drinks to our table for us! Sat outside in the garden, was too hot to sit inside. Nice food, polite and friendly staff and will be going back for more of the same!!

It's a lovely clean place,and very big,the staff we absolutely lovely so friendly. Our meals were good but the peas weren't cooked properly and the chips definitely dint taste fresh. My daughter had the katzu curry , she said it was OK but the sauce was like chip shop curry. Overall not a bad visit but they could do better in the kitchen

Slow. So slow. Ordered x2 fish chips n mushy peas and 1 kids meal at 17:19 on a Thursday, the pub was next to dead at this point . Service was slow and it took forever to come out. The Food was alright I guess, it's pub food, you get what you pay for and don't go home hungry. Bar staff nice enough, and I get that not only was she manning the bar but also serving at the same time so props to that. So I guess the problem is within the kitchen? Asked for the pudding to be boxed up so we could take it away so wouldn't have to suffer a even longer wait. 10 minutes later it still hadn't showed up nor any indication that the request had even been given to the chef. Left out of frustration. A bit annoying but lesson learnt this time I guess as we won't be returning for food as this is the second time service has been painfully slow. If you're going for a pint of ale then do it but be prepared for the long haul if going for food

There wasn't many in and the place needs a revamp, the outside area was messy and needed a good clearing as there were pots and glasses. The place wasn't busy so this could have been done .

Didn't have much food at all,all we asked for they hadn't got and when it came it was awful,the staff was very pleasant and helpful which made it that much more bearable

Well where to start called in today lunchtime time. Rude staff...too busy moving furniture and doing Christmas display. Went to order food everything not available, couple on next table , heard them at bar, same nothing left, could have had a plain burger!!! Just wow needs closing down totally. Be the last visit. If I could have given no stars I would...shocking, miserable staff. Good luck to stag fans tonight , hope you're not hungry!!!

The staff was fantastic so was the atmosphere plenty of people who seem to be enjoying themselves but the food needs to be sorted out. Asked for one dish it wasn't available nor was the second had to have the third which wasn't that spectacular

Nice place, good service, pleasant & friendly atmosphere. Food quite delayed ? Mixed grill possibly causing that. I only had a jacket potato and salad side dish so disappointed with the not so fresh, out of date and not much variety salad so didn't eat it. Will return but ask for fresh salad next time 🥗

After going for a meal here and recieved a Parking ticket for the privilege been working away for 2 months and return to find out I had a bailiff escalated bill thanks for a very expensive meal !

Enjoyed our drinks and meal there but was shocked to obtain a parking fine the next day or so...the barman failed to tell us to login and register our car's registration number...we wouldn't have received a fine if this acknowledgement of our vehicles registration...so to say we are very disappointed and won't be visiting again too soon

We recently had our wedding reception buffet here, the buffet was better than we could have imagined and our guests are still commenting on how lovely it was. The bar staff on the day were absolutely fantastic and couldn’t help enough when we needed anything xx

Really disappointed ordered mixed grill to be told no rump steak so ordered fish and chips only to be told again no fish, surely that is a basic that should be available. Won’t be returning. Going to the fish shop for tea now.

The worst lunch I’ve ever had toasted sandwiches for myself and my partner we’ve been here quite a lot in the past and aways been great but that is the last time for a start they were not toasted and served with stale bread I wonder we went in this afternoon hardly anyone there inside usually very busy in Friday afternoon no body there maybe they eaten before that’s the reason regards Derek nugent

Good value for money. Just over £10 for a nice tasty burger, chips, onion rings and, my go to soft drink, slimline tonic. After a job interview - nice treat. Nice atmosphere here. The bunting is out for the big royal shin dig. The sun is shining through the windows. It's warm finally and I'm watching the cars go by. Just saw a bright blue Chevrolet pickup. I love the hubbub from other punters too. Laughing and joshin each urged. Nice atmosphere.

Always enjoy going to the Talbot mainly for football and food, Guinness is always good and a great atmosphere, I would recommend booking a table at peak times if you require food , there is outdoor seating in the warmer months, parking is easy and menu is extensive with plenty of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks,they have live bands and occasionally karaoke
