Food is nice but very over priced ,had a ice-cream sundae which was £7 ISH and was tiny

I came for my birthday on the 25th February and we enjoyed the food so much my son wanted to go for his birthday so again we came on the 15th march which was just as good. Staff are so lovely, have a little giggle with you and helpful! They were super busy at this time and they still took my little boys bday cake and made sure to ask when we were ready. The food is delicious and not badly priced at all. Drinks are a really good selection also. Definitely be back again

Called at this pub last night there was only one table left as it was so busy I thought it was a good sign. I was totally wrong as soon as we got drinks they started blaring out a quiz which they didn't read the questions one after another there was one every few min. Then they started karaoke bingo with music deafening so they could hear it outside. Not the place for a relaxing meal I didn't eat and left.. I know pubs have to get custom in but for the amount of people in the pub very little was being drunk or eaten most had just gone for the quiz. Shocking place. On your reply you said you found us a table wrong i had to find it myself. Also the food and drink comment is based on 200 people the spend per person I would imagine wasnt great

Thought the drinks were a little expensive. Nearly £10 for a glass of lemonade and a smirnoff ice...

Went for food on Sunday and it was a disappointing experience unfortunately. Very limited vegetarian options (I think around 3 mains not incluing pizza as didn't look at them) long wait between the starter and mains. The Yorkshire puddings were like greasy Yorkshire pudding shells and underdone roast potatoes. On the plus side the tattooed girl serving the food was really nice, she made up for the one that didn't crack a smile once who took our orders. Overall we wouldn't go back again.

The service was excellent and the menu choice superb. The food was cooked beautifully; my friend had a steak and he was really pleased. I had the sea bass which was very tasty. The staff were friendly and service was quick.

Although the pub was very busy, we were quickly served with our food and drinks. Nothing was too much trouble and our meals were very good.

Staff were friendly and welcoming and did the standard asking how food was etc however must say a bit disappointed by the food. Paid £21.50 for the lamb due so expected a reasonable amount of lamb however when it arrived I couldn’t actually see the lamb as there were only three small lumps buried under some watercress. My partner also ordered a beef roast costing £18 and receive two thin sandwich sized meat sliced of beef. The taste of the meat and vegetables was average and didn’t really blow us away. Overall was an ok experience but really would have expected more meat for the price!

The whole experience was really good. The restaurant was clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and helpful. The food came out quickly and it was hot and very tasty.

I not a big complainer but ... I went in for food with my family today and everyone in our party had a roast dinner which I do believe is around the 18 pound mark which every one enjoyed .. I had one ladt week and was lovely .. today I changed it up a bit and wished I didn't.. I had the duo of lamb which is a lamb rump , mini lamb pie and it say garlic roasted potato's and veg with lamb gravy which I believe it was about 22-23 pound .. very much disappointed.. the lamb rump was sooooo small and cooked through when I asked for it pink .. pie was OK but as it's bought in I expect it to be nice .. the garlic roasted potato's was just herb dice potato's and a bit of veg .. highly disappointed.. that dish is worth no more than 12-13 pound .. the girl who served us was lovely tho

We visited for a valentines meal and ordered from the set menu. Everything was perfect. The staff were friendly and the service brilliant. We were seated immediately and didn't have to wait long for drinks or our order. The portion sizes were perfect too. My husband is now obsessed with the sweet chilli pork bites he had for his starter and I really enjoyed the chocolate brownie and ice cream. Thank you for a wonderful evening, we will definitely be back.

Managed to book a table for 12 on a Friday tea time 17.00 WITH ONLY 90 MINUTES NOTICE. The food was very good everyone enjoyed it, the staff were friendly and attentive even though the place was rather busy (there was a mama Mia theme night on). Thanks again Foxglove.

Absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. It made a change to go for a Sunday lunch that wasn't just a carvery with everybody queuing up and fighting for seats. Space!! Clean, not sounding like a rave concert. Staff were unbelievable - everybody had a genuine friendly, warm smile. Laura greeted us and showed our table. Laura was a credit to Foxglove, so helpful, so friendly and made us feel valued. I cannot recommend Foxglove enough. We will definitely be back. Thank you for an amazing dining experience. Oh by the way - the FOOD! Hot, fresh, tasty, nothing frozen or warmed up and PLENTY! Thank you! xx

Regular Sunday evening haunt, always a pleasure, staff always give a warm welcome. Tonight we were served by Jess, lovely smile, excellent table side etiquette, took our order promptly, served our drinks, Sunday dinner exceptional, reasonable prices, great selection of drinks. Sometimes it’s the quality of service that makes your evening and tonight was a perfect example! Thank you Jess, will recommend.

Nice staff and service just crap food 4 of us all had sirloin steaks and were all like old shoe leather I wouldn't mind but it's not exactly cheap at £20 each ,shall be avoiding this place in the near future

It was very busy when we arrived, but the staff made us aware of this and that our order may take a little longer than usual, which is fine. The food and service was good. My only criticism, if I have one, was that we had a voucher for 30% off our mains, but at checkout only 20% was taken off.

Everything was OK staff friendly and good service. 1 person had kebab and this was very dry. Other meals were excellent

We booked a table last week when they had a problem with the gas. I received a message to let me know there was a problem which I thought was really good. We visit on a regular basis, and find it gives excellent food and service . Will be visiting again soon.

Family birthday lunch for 9 people. Put us on a nice big table in a cosy area. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. Good selection of mains and puddings. Seemed busy but the wait times for food served was very reasonable. Polite staff. We had no complaints.😄

Lovely meal with friends. Very welcoming team led by Tony. Steak was good. Hawkstone beer was the best ever. Please Tony and Marstons keep this beer on draught. We heard it’s being taken out to be replaced by Bierra Moretti. That’s ten a penny around here. On sale all over. Hawkstone Lager is a different matter. What an achievement in getting it in the first place. Please do not take it out, especially as the Summer is hopefully on the horizon.

Visited today. Unfortunately there was a problem with the gas supply, which meant at least half of the menu was unavailable. It may have been better to tell customers that before you take them to the table and seat everybody. To be honest if I had known that before being seated I would have left and gone elsewhere. I ended up having a pizza. It was luke warm when it arrived, not pleasant to eat at all. In fact I left half. Nobody came to check on us and I suppose I could have gone back to the bar to complain it was cold. I understand these things happen, but be upfront from the beginning. Plus keep food hot while other food is being prepared.

Although very busy we were shown to a table for two by polite staff. Our orders taken in a timely manner and delivered also in a timely manner, considering how rushed the staff were. The food was delicious and the price affordable.

Went to Foxglove on New Year’s Eve for third year running. Great band, great atmosphere as usual. Staff helpful and attentive as always. My wife, daughter and myself had a great time. Thanks and see you soon

The staff are honestly lovely and we have always liked the foxglove, but this latest visit was a disappointment. Very empty, but yes it's post christmas, but not sure why when you sit everyone near each other, yes we could have asked to move. The decor of the place is shabby now, paint peeling and chairs fabric coming apart. Toilets for the men were gross, handles loose, faeces on the toilet roll dispenser and general don't feel clean, no cleaning sheet. Food okay, didn't have the sweet potato curry so sad so ended up with a dry vegan burger, which yes they didn't charge for as it was dry. Veggie options seem more limited, or just everything is cheese based. You used to do a lovely mushroom pie. I just don't really know what's happened the menus were ripped and falling apart. Such a shame to see the place like it.

Did the end of year quiz last night and it was awesome! Really well done. Something for the kids at half time. Free £10 voucher for those that had booked a table and really good prizes. Well worth booking in future. Ryan who runs it is brilliant!

We had our wedding reception and night venue in the garden room at the foxglove and the food, service and team who looked after us were phenomenal they catered for everything we need and more nothing was too much of an ask or issue and we felt so relaxed and looked after especially with all the emotions we had of organising all the wedding and sort our family and friends and ensuring they had a great day celebrating our wedding with us. We would also like to give special thanks to Hilary for putting up with us constantly changing plans over the last 18 months as our plans were constantly changing, but her commitment, devotion and dillegence organising and ensuring our day ran smoothly was fantastic she was absolutely perfect and nothing was too much effort for her she really excelled everyone expectations and was flawless with her preperation and delivering of all our plans to the letter, we cannot thank her enough for everything she has done for us on our special wedding day.

Very efficient and friendly staff. Sunday lunch was fabulous. The steak my hubby had was cooked to perfection. Thoroughly enjoyable experience all round. Would recommend 100%. 😊👍

We love it here! We arrived and was warmly welcomed by Tony and Hillary and shown our table. The food started to come very quickly and we received excellent service throughout our meal. The food was excellent, everything came out to us at the right times and was an excellent quality. We were regularly asked how things were and if we required further drinks, but not to the point of it being too much. The whole team really care that you have a great time and although it was very busy, we still received excellent service. We have been coming here for a couple of years now and it is by far the best pub around here for food and service. Tony, Hillary and the team simply have it nailed when it comes to running a good pub.

We booked on breakfast with Santa and my how great it was! We were greated by the manager who was at the hostess stand and she took us to our table, on there we had a little party bag for the children. It contained a pen, book, blow up Christmas balloon, and a stamp. We also had crayons and colouring sheets on the table too. She explained the menu to us and the tickets. We ordered at the bar and was greated by a friendly festive bar staff member who took our drinks order while we waited for the rest of our party to arrive. It was. Well organised as they had someone else making the hot drinks making the service quicker. Once at the table the Elf came round and asked when we would like to see Santa, we said once everyone arrived and before breakfast so our tops were clean. Once everyone arrived we ordered our breakfasts and spoke to the elf walking around and asked if we could be on the list to see Santa. It was soon our turn and the boys were super excited she offered to take out photos so we could all be on it. The set up with Santa was great! We had had plenty of time with him and it wasn’t rushed the picture setting was great the backdrop was very festive and the boys loved the chocolate treat. When we arrived back at the table our food came it looked yummy and was hot. They brought the kids breakfast out first which is handy so I could cut up my LOs food before mine arrived. The food was delicious! We had an excellent experience with breakfast with Santa and we can’t wait to come back next year!

Visited 15th December for a birthday Sunday lunch. Extremely good value for money. Delicious Sunday Roast with all the trimmings. Very well looked after by Vicky. The other staff were very pleasant.

On this visit we were served by “Jessie” , we were treated to the same great service on another busy Sunday. Fab Niamh was amazing as our server, she was fast polite and throughout the busy lunchtime service there wasn’t a moment that she stood still.

As usual with THE FOXGLOVE a pleasant welcome, followed by good food at a reasonable price served by helpful staff.

May I start by saying the service I had with staff through email was excellent! I book the foxglove every year for our staff Christmas party, and to say I was disappointed this year would be an understatement. The table service was not great when being served our food, there was no welcoming just simply food plonked down on the table in front of us, we were never asked throughout any of the courses if the food was ok and if we needed anything. We had literally just finished eating our first course, when the mains were being brought out and again just plonked on the table, giving us no time between courses and so the food was cold by the time we felt comfortable to eat it, I did explain this to one of the waitresses , who didn't even acknowledge me and just carried on going back into the kitchen. Then The food on the mains dishes were extremely under cooked to the point of looking raw and when mentioned we just got a look and nothing to help rectify the issue (i have photographs of the food) Alcohol was served in glasses that were too hot to even pick up and when the bar staff was asked to change them, again we were given warm glasses and eyes rolling at my request of fresh drinks. Overall, a very poor evening leaving me reluctant to book again. I look forward to your response.

We had a great meal out, there were 16 of us but no one's meal was messed up and all the courses came out near enough together.

Lovely warm welcome from the staff, nicely decorated restaurant, glowing in warmth and friendliness. Prompt service at the bar, good selection of beers, shown to our table, nicely situated in the corner (Table 20). Order taken quickly, food cooked to perfection, delivered exactly as ordered. Excellent table side etiquette by the servers, table service for extra drinks, pots cleared away promptly on finishing our meals. All the staff were well drilled in customer service, which to me is a reflection on how training in attention to detail, is operated by the manager and team. Excellent.

First visit. As a Marston's pub it's not what you expect. Full table service was a pleasant surprise. The staff were friendly and efficient. The food was delicious! Really good. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Will definitely be going back

I received a friendly welcome when I arrived and taken to the table. Everything about the meal and the experience was very good. Two of the party had pizzas so we maybe waited a little longer for our meals but not an unreasonably amount of time. The waitress was friendly and attentive without being over bearing. The price of the main meals is reasonable and what I would expect but I think the price of the starters and desserts is excessive.

We and our friends are regular customers at The Foxglove. The food is always good and the staff are friendly and helpful. Overall great value food in pleasant surroundings.

Delicious and plenty of food got two 3 meats Sunday lunch and two kids Sunday lunch an ample amount of food and free extra gravy in a big gravy boat.

Surprisingly good! Looks are deceptive. Big, modern, just across from a retail park. Honestly would not have been my first choice. Yet the welcome and the food were superb! Really good breakfast on a Sunday, could not have asked for better. Service was fabulous. I will definitely return, and I recommend this place!

Appalling customer service from the female Duty Manager! Very rude and accused us of double ordering from both our table and the bar when, in fact, we’d never ordered at the bar! No apology following the accusation and very rude when payment made for a drinks order!

Our waitress was excellent. She allowed plenty of time to choose, to order and also to check whether I was ready for mains as I had ordered olives and was nibbling them. There were too many olives and another waitress offered a container to take home. I wanted a dairy free coffee and was told you didn’t do them, this surprised me but she returned quickly to offer me soya milk. I was very happy that she bothered to do this .

Visited with group of friends on a busy Saturday, I'd recommend booking to avoid disappointment. Good choice of menu to choose from in this bustling Marstons pub. Food was delicious and cooked fresh, I like that they have their own pizza oven and the smells waft through the pub. Big group of us were served mains in good time, service was a little slow for dessert though. I had a chilli chicken pizza which was served beautifully but it was spicier than expected! Pudding was a slice of lemon tarte, but it didn't taste that lemony, but the fresh berry coule it was served with was lovely.

Good food, good ale, good atmosphere, good staff (not pushy or overly attentive they got it right), efficient in that we weren't waiting long for our food even though it was quite busy and, lastly, quite reasonable value (although we did have a 30% off the main course voucher). Overall, glad we tried it and will return.

Perfect table for the 4 of us and our dog. My father is very elderly with little appetite, he really fancied gammon with eggs and although it wasn’t on the Sunday menu, it was kindly accommodated for him and he really enjoyed it. Our lovely waitress Niamh was so attentive, organised and constantly busy, we really had a lovely lunchtime in what for us as a family is a very difficult time. Thank you agsin

Easy to book online had a table on the bar area which is dog friendly. We both had hunters chicken and our dog chose sausage and gravy from his menu. Staff were friendly atmosphere good and we loved the food. Dog had his served in a pet bowl really cute.
