Seemed a little expensive compared to other pubs food in my opinion average. service good

Staff were really friendly and attentive without being overwhelming,(it was quite). I ordered a dry white wine that was not very nice. The young lady serving us was very good and changed it for me straight away. I thought the wine was way overpriced £10 but that's not their fault. Having 30% off mains helped. We will go back.

Food exceptional, waitress service the same. Value for money. Will return soon. Xxxxx

Myself and my partner have just attended the Foxglove in order to have Sunday dinner. Upon arrival we were met by the landlady,Hilary,who from the start was very polite,friendly and welcoming. After taking our order it food was served quickly there after. Both dinners were of excellent quality and both myself and Emma were both impressed about the presentation and the flavour. We have visited the Foxglove on several occasions and have always enjoyed the surroundings,the company the staff and of course the Land lady,Hilary. We would both be very happy to recommend the Foxglove as a very Pleasent,safe,family pub... It also offers free parking,a child's play are and ample seating in a very Pleasent beer garden. Booked for a family of 4 meal at 8.00pm. When we got there the car park was totally full and cars were having to park on the road next to the pub. So we could tell it was extremely busy straight away. Inside, we was met by a clearly flustered and tired employee who explained that they were a chef down and had a 40th, 16th and 18th birthday all at the same time, all large parties as well as a already busier than usual night. This I did not mind, we actually felt sorry for the staff as they were all trying there best under difficult circumstances. The reason I won't be returning to this pub is the actual food, it was a 45 minute wait from when we ordered, which again, I wasn't too bothered about but my real gripe is the lack of value for money for the meals. The prices are extortionate to the portion size. We don't mind paying a fair price for a meal if we come away full, but every one of us was still hungry when we left. I paid £21.99 for a ribeye steak and the meal was tiny, the steak very fatty so half of it had to be left at the side of my plate. My wife's lasagne wouldn't have filled a child, my son in laws burger was tiny, and daughters sausage and mash was also very small. For 4 meals the bill came to £69, and all 4 of us had to go over the road to McDonald's as we were all still hungry and not one of us are particularly big eaters. I thought the price was honestly disgusting and felt robbed regarding the portion sizes. Like I say, I would have been very happy to pay that price if we didn't have to go to another food establishment afterwards! What was there, we enjoyed. Sadly we won't be going back. Not the staffs fault, they were lovely, and they all looked dead on their feet. There are plenty of other food establishments in the vicinity that are both cheaper and bigger portions that we would rather give our hard earned money to.

We were greeted by a lovely Front of House staff member who made us feel very welcome. We ordered Sunday lunch which was delicious. We really enjoyed the lunch and would definitely return when we are next in the area

Came here with my friend last week and I had the chorizo mac and cheese, very tasty and the staff were very friendly!

Food expensive and small portion. Waitrose brought drinks with ice despite being asked for no ice and another drink order was wrong. If the staff can't listen and the food portion is small why would I come here again

Not a fan personally, more suited for those with an older palate, plenty of tables but people were being sat next to you rather than somewhere else.

I feel the overall experience was a bit bland. Seems expensive for what I received. I do admit the baked camembert was nice. I had a 10 Oz ribeye which I feel was previously frozen, i asked for it rare and it just wasn't quite right. My partner had scampi and chips that were ok, our lad had pizza which was ok. We also ordered sausage & mash off the lunch menu which good portion size, but the beans were overcooked.

First time here, impressed. Lovely, attentive staff. We asked for a table away from children, staff were happy to show us to a quiet table. Pity there wasn’t a huge amount of vegan options, but I made do with starters and sides. Restaurant was half full, but we were served our meals quickly. Great quality food. Will start coming here more often.

Very enjoyable. Excellent service and attentive and pleasant staff. Food tasty and good portions. Only thing I would change is - please serve naan bread and poppadum on a side plate. I had to put on table as insufficient room on main plate. My two friends had no complains and thoroughly enjoyed their chicken and mushroom pies.

We visited today as it was my nieces birthday..from start to finish the service was excellent..we were greeted by Laura and she took our orders..she asked us throughout the the meal if we were ok and genuinely cared

Excellent food and good friendly service

I love visiting here with friends and family. Service is excellent and the servers very attentive! I usually go for either the steak or burgers both dishes are lovely! I would like to give a big shout out to Stephanie who was absolutely brilliant throughout! Parking is very easy unlike some other pub restaurants nearby who will fine you for failing to give out your vehicle reg.

I only went in for a latte after my shopping loved the morning staff and went back in the afternoon for two drinks the drink selection was fantastic I liked it so much am going down tomorrow or Friday for dinner my meal was perfect I ended up coming back today 16th of March 2024

Everything was just amazing from start to finish we all had the most wonderful time the foods was delicious, nothing was too much to ask for, we felt so welcomed, there was no waiting which was amazing. The staff was so friendly and Ruby was just lovely. We will definitely be coming back in the future and will recommend this place. 5 stars all round

Me and my husband was sat on a 2 table in the walk way with everyone passing all tge time to go to the kitchen, it had wood panelling one side and the corridor the other so bad for me as hate shut in spaces and there was plenty of other tables left in the restaurant This table should never be there as it litterally is one table in the walkwayto kitchen and toilet

Went for mother's day, the food was lovely. Service was good but they did take a long time to bring deserts out. Our waitress was sky, she was really friendly, always checking we was ok or if we needed anymore drinks, she did keep apologising for the slow service.

Came for Mother’s Day and we couldn’t have wished for more! The food and the service was phenomenal. Sky served us and was so friendly, professional and attentive - Absolutely 10/10 all round!

Spoke to the manager about taking our dogs in there and he seems like a really lovely guy. My only gripe would be not with the pub but with parents letting their children run around inside especially near the kitchen door and bar area, my heart was in my mouth several times. It wouldn't be fare to blame the owner if anything should happen, a child could get hurt through the lack of some basic etiquette.

We were served by a lovely young lady who despite negative comments by a fellow colleague did an amazing job. She was tending to all her tables with care and respect. Food was lovely very disappointed to hear a bar staff member stood in front of us at the bar as we was paying complaining that people were being sent to the bar to pay. Had the staff member spent less time being awful to her she would have known the payment machine they were using was playing up. A little respect towards fellow colleagues goes a long way. Well done to you young lady serving near the kitchen tonight you did amazing don't listen to negative colleagues keep doing what your doing

We visited as a large group, all food was served at the same time and was nice and hot . The staff were all friendly and helpful

3rd visit for a meal waitress was really lovely only complaint grilled tomato came with 2 pieces of garlic on top of it ( I have a garlic allergy ) normally food is 10/10

Good meal didn't have to wait long The waitress RUBY was so pleasant at went out her way to make our night pleasant she was so curtious.

Excellent, helpful and prompt service from the staff. Good selection of beers and drinks, good choice on both menus. The food was delivered soon after the order, all nine of us ate together. The main meal was served hot and of good quality. Some of us had pudding/sweet course, these were disappointing, not really value for money at around £8 each. Final problem was the checkout, most of our party are NHS staff and attempted to use our blue light cards, sadly I had no proof of I-D, no driving licence or bank card. This was the only awkward moment to a very pleasant experience. Hope to visit again soon.

Regular visitors to this restaurant, always a pleasure,usually on a Sunday, as their Sunday Roasts are second to none. We had beef and Turkey this time, generous portions, cooked to perfection, washed down with San Miguel. Excellent service from Sue and the crew, smiles on faces, nothing too much trouble, looked like they enjoyed being there doing their jobs. What a refreshing change from some other restaurants. If you want great food and service at reasonable prices, look no further! Well done staff 🍺

Excellent service and good food

Staff were courteous n polite. Our party consisted of 3 adults n 1 child aged 4. The time between courses was a little bit long but ok. My only negative comment would be that my 4 year old grandsons meal was served on a very hot plate, the server did tell us it was very hot but in my opinion hot plates are not acceptable for children, I asked for a cold plate from kitchen to transfer his food too. Also his drink was served in a normal small tumbler n filled to the top so we also asked for a straw and bigger glass. I understand it's an adult place primarily and the servers were too young to be parents themselves so not aware of the potential danger a hot plate may have caused. A little bit of fore thought would have been appreciated from the kitchen though before sending out a child's meal on a hot plate. The food was lovely, we all enjoyed the outing.

We were welcomed with a friendly smile, we had booked for my sons birthday meal and were taken to our table and kindly offered a range of drinks before we ordered meals, we all had the lunch time menu, all 3 courses were excellent quality, table service was great as we were checked on a couple of times about the food and If we needed any further drinks. Had a great day , thanks everyone !

Great food and amazing service, had a great time

We was really happy with our food as usually the chips you don't get enough. Which we leave hungry 😋 Last night we had scampi and chips and the plate was full of chips and 10 pieces of scampi. We did pay an extra pound for extra mushy we I found a little much I think you should review this price as mushy peas arnt expensive to buy. We was a little shocked. But overall the food delicious and your member staff was also brilliant I can't remember her name but she was serving in the other I think we was on table 15. So please give your atsff member our praise and maybe a little bonus for her hard work

We go regularly to the foxglove for meals but was disappointed with the new menu on offer, I had steak which was very nice but asked for salad instead of chips and all I got was lettuce nothing else, the lunch time menu is not has good has the old one

This was a special 70th birthday weekend away from Hampshire with my two daughters, their partners and four grandchildren. Our visit yesterday round off the weekend beautifully. Thank you for the great service we had, despite being very busy!

I came to celebrate my mum's birthday, the welcoming was brilliant, the waitress was amazingly polite and the food was absolutely delicious. Myself had the pie of the day and it was delightful. I would definitely recommend this to friends and family

We really enjoy coming to the foxglove for a meal. It is always a really welcoming atmosphere and the we are always greeted with a smile. Regardless of how busy it is the staff always have time for you. There is a good selection of drinks and a menu that has enough on it without being overwhelming. The food is fantastic and is the best around for the money. We I'll continue to keep going back to the foxglove because it ticks every box, it never let's you down and you never leave hungry or disappointed.

Absolutely love this place. The staff are so welcoming and friendly without being intrusive. I first visited following a recommendation by several friends and have since become a frequent visitor. The food is extremely good and portions are decent. I would, and have recommended The Foxglove to others. Special shout out to Hilary who always takes time out to chat and just makes the experience that little bit more special xx

We had a wonderful time with friends at The Foxglove! We hired their Garden Room as there were over 40 of us meeting for food and drinks. The food was great and the staff all lovely and very accommodating. It really is a fantastic venue and would highly recommend. It’s a lovely place to pop for a drink and a meal and has the added bonus of being able to cater for larger parties in the Garden Room. Thank you to Tony and all staff. We’ll definitely be back!

This wasn't our first visit but we won't be coming again anytime soon my main was Gammon which always ask for it to be as lean as possible due to me having a intolerance to fat in fully understand it is impossible not to have some rind on but it was terrible the rind was very thick and both the pieces had fat running through them to top it off the chips were full of grease I was offered something else but due to being a diabetic and as I did attempt to eat some of the meal I was restricted to what I could eat it. My husband who never complains reported to your staff that his Curry was like warm we are both really disappointed Even though I was not charged for my meal and my husband meal was only charged at half price it the whole experience was very disappointing and has put us off retaining

Staff brilliant - food not up to standard today I.e. plate cold therefore food went cold very quickly at the table. Lot on the menu unavailable 😕 Just as an add on the Staff did take money from the bill to compensate but really you want it perfect first time around!

Made us feel like we were a burden ad they had a party happening outside. We were very cold and the staff were more interested in chatting to someone they knew from the baby shower than making sure we were ok

I haven't been to this place for 4 years, i remember how lovely it was, and that the food was great. We decided to go last minute, a few days after Christmas. The server she was lovely and sweet to us. The food was disappointing and overcooked. Chips were as hard as nails, as I went to stick my fork into the chips, they were that over cooked and hard, they flew across the table into everyone's lap and on the floor , I almost cracked the plate, 😑. I thought that I was in the scene, from the comedy Bottom (Christmas special, the potato scene). The burger was ok, but I felt overcharged, The onion rings were lovely, but the aesthetics of the burger looked smashed together and not as flavourful as I'd hope as the burger looked juicy. I'm so disappointed. In comparison to other restraunt chains. Fox and Crown, Kings Mill Farm. Weather spoons, golden Eagle these Trump this place by far. The server could see the meals were not being enjoyed and saw that the chips from the plate were all over the place, She apologised and asked if we wanted the chef to make up more chips. We declined as we felt that after 10 minutes into our meal and chips everywhere and our burgers already half eaten, we just wanted to finish what we had and leave soon afterward. After visiting, I've heard so many mixed reviews. I hope this was just a one off, I'll visit again in a few years, eh?

The food was excellent. Staff were quick and efficient, but it would have been nice to see a smile. 7 of us in our group and we all emptied our plates, pudding was amazing too

So recently visited here, I did request a table near the fire or in a booth, neither were made for us even though both were available. Cider I wanted wasn't available neither was the food I wanted which was disappointing. Saying this the pub itself is nice and the atmosphere was good, not sure if we will be going back though.

Our waitress was excellent. She allowed plenty of time to choose, to order and also to check whether I was ready for mains as I had ordered olives and was nibbling them. There were too many olives and another waitress offered a container to take home. I wanted a dairy free coffee and was told you didn’t do them, this surprised me but she returned quickly to offer me soya milk. I was very happy that she bothered to do this .

Met colleagues for a seasonal lunch .Seating was casual which suited us. Venue was warm and welcoming, as were the staff. Food was quite basic and in my opinion it was overpriced. I asked if I could buy dessert to take home. Bar staff said yes. I ordered the Basques cheesecake with icecream and lemon curd. I paid £6.95 I was given a box with cheescake in. No reduction or alternative for icecream. No lemon curd. This venue stands directly opposite ASDA superstore. I could have bought something far more tasty, exciting ,luxorious if I had just gone to the supperstore. My daughter wanted to taste the cheescake , but she diddnt even eat half. What a waste of money.

We booked the table online a couple of hours before the visit. We were warmly greeted and shown to our table. It was table service and we were promptly offered menus and given a few minutes to choose our meals. The same Gentleman that greeted us took our food and drink orders which were promptly served. I can’t remember the Gentleman’s name although he did give it to us on our arrival, I think he may have been in charge. He was very friendly and helpful .

The food was spot on. Service was excellent. I drove all the way from Nottingham due to a previous visit being amazing. I just had to come back.

Called for food everything was great except for 1 meal. The staff quickly rectified the problem and couldn’t do enough to put things right.

Very good service, i ordered the hunters chicken from the menu but there wasn't much flavour in the meal, Never had a bad meal at the fox glove but was a little disappointed on this visit.

Service was extremely slow, we’d been there an hour before mains turned up, we didn’t bother with dessert as no one came to take our order after waiting 30 minutes, so paid and left. We had to find a staff member to order mains and drinks. I understand it’s Christmas week but never had such poor service, also didn’t have my first choice of main course, already limited due to being gluten free

We had an absolutely AMAZING TIME!! We love this pub/restaurant. Its local, it's welcoming, everyone is so friendly. The staff have become good friends We look forward to the Christmas get-togethers and this visit was the end of year quiz. Drum role please...WE WON! £250 second place on the quiz! This definitely made the evening even more better
