We had a fantastic Sunday lunchtime, and considering they were catering for nearly 30 of us on a busy bank holiday weekend, the food was genuinely impressive. There was a young band performing a great mix of 90s music, which added a lovely vibe to the afternoon. What really stood out to me, though, was the staff—especially the management team. They were incredibly attentive and welcoming throughout. It's just a shame I live in Telford, otherwise this place would definitely be my regular spot.

Great local pub with good food and wide variety of drinks including cocktails. Have seen some great entertainment here too including singer Claire Hudspeth and drag artist Bella End. Also dog friendly

Brilliant pub. Was perfect for a spot of lunch.

A much improved pub since the latest managers moved in. The beer is kept well, and the food is definitely on the up. That said my steak pie had a concrete crust, but everything else was fine.

Had the fish and chips fish was overcooked and possibly cooked in dirty oil comment from chef .it is the herbs in batter ( really) was refunded my money

Went for mother's day lunch. I can hands down say that the carvery is one of the best I've ever had. I'm pretty proud of my own Sunday lunch so taking me out for a carvery normally ends with me thinking about how I can do better. Seriously it was lovely, the potato gratin was amazing and the gravy was so so tasty. Had to beg for seconds on the potatos and gravy .then came home and have a nap after was soooooo full and happy! Everything was fantastic!

Can’t lie , used to be a shit hole couldn’t stand it but since new owners way better foods better , cheap prices better atmosphere and everyone is friendly

Terrible from start to finish. Was a pre booked table for 10. They hadn't got about 3 meal options people wanted, then ordered what they did have, for them to come back to us saying they still couldn't fulfil our choices and had to change 3 meals again. Once the food did come out the burgers were terrible, even the kids cheeseburger- the bun was burnt quite badly to the point the child wouldn't eat it as 'it didn't taste nice' I have been here one other occasion almost a year ago and it was just as terrible then, with the excuses of 'we are in the process of taking over'. We gave a second chance thinking that was just a one off, and yet again the experience was terrible. Safe to say we will not be returning to The Coopers again.

great pub chain, really impressed with it now and itll definitely become a regular for us. Also dog friendly which I love love love! very accommodating and relaxed but lovely decor.

Lovely carvery on a Sunday and good service

Our first time at The Coopers. Wanted to celebrate my birthday despite their being a family death that day so our moods weren't the highest and we struggle to get out with two kids 5 and under. However, despite it being advertised as a "local" we couldn't fault the place. We felt welcomed and the atmosphere wasn't overly busy or loud which is what we wanted. The food we had was enjoyed by all, including our picky eater who was happy to sample at least three new foods that evening! We shall be returning for sure, and next time we're bringing friends/family 🫶🏻

Attended their annual fireworks night on tuesday 5/11/24 .... Which was absolutely brilliant!! It was jammed packed with people! Atmosphere was buzzing and plenty of food and drink to keep everyone happy! Thanks again coopers! 😉👍

Very welcoming we were early for our booking but we’re welcomed inside to wait. We were then told we were able to move from our allocated table as they could see that my mother in law had mobility problems. Food was lovely as were the staff. Will definitely visit again.

Edit, 2024 - been back after literally 6 years as I've been put off this place and let me tell you, it's not worth it, quiaoea salad missing (though we paid extra) another lady had items missing off their meal also, their "lite bites" here are actually smaller then their kids meals, I can see their trying but you say so many years have gone by you'd hope for better, I won't be back here again. 2019 - I am literally sat here waiting for food, not only did they not have 4 mains and 2 starters but when we paid extra and ordered the lamb, that wasn't in stock either... the starter is missing dressing and napkins, The cutlery is filthy, mis matched glasses for drinks, I am sat here waiting 45 mins for this disgusting meal... Bear in mind there's only two tables of people in the whole place. the mash potato is solid, the pigs in blankets burnt, roast potatoes look like crisps and only 1 side of veg between three of us yet we all ordered and paid separately, the cauliflower cheese has a skin like a wet suit .... just got a full refund as this was inedible!!!!

Fantastic as always, very friendly, food is fantastic. Really happy to help if you have special needs children they really do go out of there way to help.

Bad customer service by the lady on desk had no space but then could find a space then no I can't fit you in even though we had a van meet in more than half the car park we said about eat out side yeah came back with a small cardboard bowl I said do we not get a plate she said no then started to say we was rude RUDE you got ride then keep it I'm not spending my money with you... I do hope the manager reads this

Amazing staff, great customer service, very accommodating, amazing food even delivered the food to the car park, have also allowed us to come down as a car group and cornered a section off the car park to show our cars at our static meets. Would highly recommend coming here for food.

First time at The Coopers and I was very impressed from the start. Not only is the establishment very well presented and clean & tidy but the lengths they have gone to for Halloween is incredible. My daughter absolutely loved it. The decoration around the entire place was so well done. Menu was extensive and the food was tasty, service was fast and friendly. From my visit today for my birthday I haven’t got a bad thing to say. Will definitely recommend and revisit! Something which I hadn’t tried before was the hot maple sauce.. amazing, to say the least!

Called in at Weeknd after avoiding the place for a few years. Wasn't expecting much after being previously disappointed but I couldn't have been more wrong. Service was great and even though the pub was extremely busy food came out very quickly and was far better than what we have had in the past. Well presented too. Hats off to the new family running the place and new staff members too. looking forward to calling in often

We came for food at the coopers about 3 years ago, it was awful we only lived over the road but never went back again until we saw it was under new management we came for a few drinks a few months ago and had a great night , brilliant atmosphere, we then decided to try the food last weekend and me and my partner both said it was the nicest food we had had in a long time, cooked to perfection and tasted lovely, the service was great, friendly staff great atmosphere 10/10

I absolutely love this pub which is also my local. The new management Robert, Kim and all the staff are so friendly, professional and attentive. The food is of a very high quality and nothing is too much trouble. Had a carvery today and it was very delicious and very well presented. Great pub in Mansfield. Me and the wife attend regularly on Fridays as the pub holds a motorbike night every week during the summer season. Reasonably priced drinks, and although we haven't tried the food here yet it looks very nice

A change in ownership has certaily been a poitive for this place. Staff so freindly and engaging especially from a bad experience in the past. Will definately be my favorite local in the near future

Food was good, disappointing that they advertise cask ales everywhere and none available.

We booked a table and spoke to someone behind the bar to find out where we needed to sit. The staff were friendly and showed us to our table. We ordered at the bar, but unfortunately the fish and chips was not available. There are a couple of vegan options, but there are no vegan mains for someone who doesn't like spicy food at all. The chilli and the nachos are both spicy options. The tables were clean, but the toilets needed to be checked as they were quite dirty. The food came in good time though and we enjoyed the food we ended up choosing.

We were a party of 7 adults and 2 children, I booked a table in advance because my husband and his twin brother were celebrating their 72nd birthday s. I phoned on the Wednesday before to check our booking was still ok and the person I spoke to told me it would be noisy because of the England football match. We had no problem with that in fact the atmosphere was great. But what I wasn't told was that there was a restricted menu and the choice of food was poor. Everyone had picked a meal from the online menu only to find it was practically all burgers. I understand they were busy but no one else was eating. It was very disappointing.

Came in for a pint. Everything was great from the beer to the decor and ended up chatting with Josh one of your bartenders who’s a credit to your team and very knowledgeable!

Regularly go down on a Friday for bike night always a warm welcome and friendly staff to serve you. Would 100% recommend for anyone worth the trip family including.

Staff were great, food ok , my son had loaded fries, out of the 6 meals we had ,( burgers) his was not worth the money, chilli burger had no taste, but for pub grub ok , 🙃🍷

Our local pub, under new management. Had a lovely few hours here this afternoon with our eldest and 2 little ones. Bouncy castle was up outside and there’s a little kids corner with toys you can take to your table and colouring packs. These touches are most appreciated when you’ve got little ones to entertain and makes you feel that they’re more than welcome :) Pub was busier than we’ve seen it for a long time with a lovely atmosphere. Food was a little slow but no problem to us at all and we were kept up to date on waiting times by lovely pleasant staff. The menu is currently the old one and food was exactly as it was before, good value pub grub. Kids meals are very generous! All came out piping hot. Highly recommend nacho sharer, and the puddings are brill, the cookie brownie is delicious. Looking forward to the carvery being back on in July and visiting more often through the summer. Perfect little local, dog, child family friendly :)

Friendly bar day and night! Most staff are amazing and the new manager definitely has the right approach!!! There is so much to offer everyone; drink, food, pool, darts, kids corner, tv (for those who love the footy) garden area (yesterday was a bouncy castle - all day and at no cost :-), music, wifi and clean toilets too!!!! Plus for dog lovers its pet friendly and they even get treats.....love it and defo need more bars managed like this!!!!

We popped in for a quick pint last weekend and were greeted warmly by staff in a relaxed atmosphere. There is plenty of outside seating and dogs are welcome 🐾. We are looking forward to the upcoming events in the next few months and to hopefully sample some food at our next visit. 😊

Very nice venue, the service was very good. Tidy and clean environment, I feel the food was Excellent. We had Sunday Carvery it was gorgeous and well presented. But overall would recommend to ALL. But revisited on 19th May and was Totally Disgusted. Cos pre booked for Carvery but was disappointed on our welcome. Being told NO Carvery due to had NO MEATS.

Had a great meal and an enjoyable evening foods was delicious and well worth it. Landlord and his family and staff were amazing a loverly evening all in all well worth a visit

Had lunch at coopers today, we haven't been there for a few years, the new owners have only been there for a couple of days, the staff made us feel very welcome, the food was very good we will definitely go back for a meal.

I’ve been waiting for my food for the past hour and a half absolutely diabolical I ordered loaded fries and still not here

Absolutely ridiculous, came for a family meal pre booking out the full observatory as there was a few of us to then wait over an hour for our food to come out bit by bit. At the time of writing this review i am still waiting for food whiles saying good bye to family members who have already finnished their meals and leaving one by one.
