Informal and friendly bar/restaurant. Food was very good and reasonable priced. A good choice of lagers and a hand pumped cider and beer. The pork hock is hugh and impossible to finish!!! Fortunately you can take it away!

When we turned up unannounced with a party of 15, the waitress was very accommodating finding somewhere to squeeze us in. The food was amazing, and with massive portions. The Sweineshaxe (pork knuckle) was gigantic, although they are happy to box food up at the end to take home if you need. Perfectly done too - soft, falling off the bone like chicken with a crisp crackling shell. The atmosphere was alright but had a rather bright chain-cafe style with stalls so nothing snazzy. (Also spoilt by the plastic halloween decorations.)

Good food. Service started fine but when larger tables entered this fell away quickly. Desert was ordered but after 20 minutes we gave in and paid the bill and left. We had been asked if we wanted more drinks twice in this time, maybe if the desert had been delivered we would have even had coffees. Upon paying, no direct apology given simply a comment about the large tables taking their time, maybe more staff needed and a better customer service with an outright apology would have been nice. Spoiled an anniversary meal whilst staying in the area especially when booked in advance.

We had our gender reveal meal here. Everything was perfect from the beginning to end, everything ran smoothly and all the team was there to help especially Tom and Louis. Can’t thank the guys enough and the table set up and everything was perfect. A great evening with our family celebrating a special moment. Thanks team Taphaus

The food here is better than you'd expect by looking at the place. The cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired, menus are sticky, the tables are dirty and plates have smears of grease on them. The staff are mostly kids, this sometimes comes across in their service skills, or some overheard interactions between themselves when not serving customers. Another gripe is, although claiming to be a beerhouse, they have no idea how to serve a pint that isn't lager. Any ales or craft are served at ridiculously cold temperatures, ruining the taste.

Food was well below average, fish and chips both undercooked and soggy. The onion rings had soggy batter and were like rubber, the crackling on the belly pork was also soggy and inedible. Bar service was extremely slow, nearly 15 minutes to get a drink with 3 people at the bar and 2 staff on (one of which couldn’t hide the fact she didn’t want to be there)

Went for a birthday meal. Food was average but was made worse by the woeful staff. Was greeted at the front desk by a very unenthusiastic waitress who seated us at the table then left us waiting 15/20 mins without taking any drinks orders. Eventually got drinks which were wrong then ordered food. Food was ok to be honest. Ordered dessert then to find out that the gluten free desert was unavailable. Waited a further 40 mins before asking about the other deserts to find that none of them had been put through to the kitchen! This order was taken by the manager and when asked about it did nothing to solve the issue. Ended up waiting for the bill for a further 10 mins. Overall the staff and manager at the time really let the place down. Do not recommend.

Went 14/9/24 for my birthday, large table of 15 and the food came out together and all hot and the puddings were fabulous. No complaints from anyone and all agreed we are definitely going back. The food was great and the service was brilliant, nothing was too much trouble. Louis our server was very polite, friendly and was just all round amazing. Great place, great staff and great food. 10/10 from us and highly recommend

Food was awful and the atmosphere wasn’t as it used to be… overall disappointing, used to go in every Friday for food and drink. Not up to scratch any more, not sure if different chef or team but pizzas aren’t the same as they was, currywurst isn’t appealing at all, pale undercooked sausage and watery curry sauce. Always end up with a bad stomach after visiting. Cannot give a great review, unfortunately

The burger was dry and I asked for cheese but it was burnt, only us in the restaurant so I can't imagine what the food would be like if the restaurant was busy, I will return for a drink only

We have had meals here before over the last few years and they have always been okay but sorry to say not this time. We were a party of six , four out of the six meals were not good, three of us had the meat platter, chicken drumsticks were cold,onion rings and chicken nuggets overcooked, frozen chips but the sausage was decent. My wife had the fish and chips , the batter was very greasy and the fish inside was very hard and dry. Obviously there was a lot of waste. We complained to the manager who apologised and gave us a discount. Don’t know if the cook was having a bad day as the food was well below standard. Just like to add that the staff and manager were extremely helpful and friendly and we will still visit here but not eat.

Food was excellent 👌 good price but we've been asked whether we finished our starters which we have not, when the main course was literally forced down our throats and brought to the table . I've moaned at the end that we were expected to eat too fast and been told I'd standard policy. Really?! Hard to believe is standard policy to bring food while people are eating starters, definitely not a restaurant, more of a place to get drunk and eat well as fast and as much as you can, food waste is not environmentally friendly either. Apart from that , all good, tasty food and impressive steak 🥩 😉

Ordered 4 meals (obviously at the same time, same table), 2 of the meals came out together. Waited for the other 2 to come out, only for them to be delivered to the table next to us so they had a free meal! Refunded for the meals that didn’t reach our table! Shocking service & shocking attitude!!!

Great food and service. Also 2-4-1 cocktails after 6pm! (Our waiter advised that we wait 10 minutes to order to get this deal, most places would just go ahead and let you pay full price!)

Food was nice, but don't expect a menu full of German cuisine. Only 5-6 items were German cuisine, the rest was what you'd find in any pub. I actually found that disappointing. On the plus side, they were accommodating for dietary needs like gluten free.

My main meal was brought out before my starter which I had to send back. The waitress offered very little or no apology. My main meal arrived again and the waiter said that he would get me some fresh cutlery. I would still be there now if it had not been for the kindness of another diner who had seen what had happened and got me some cutlery. The waiter had just forgotten me. A very poor dining experience save for the kindness of the other diner.

We had always had good experiences and enjoyed the food previously. However, on our visit on July 12th, despite being the only guests in the restaurant area, we felt a bit neglected by the staff. There were quite a few staff members on duty, yet we waited a long time for our dinner. No one came to ask if we wanted another drink, and I had to go to the bar twice to order one. The dinner arrived very late, and my meat platter was burnt and covered in barbecue sauce, even though I had specifically requested sweet chili sauce. Throughout the meal, no one checked in to see if our food was satisfactory. The waitress simply asked if we were finished when she cleared the plates, not giving me a chance to mention the mistakes with my order. Lettuce leaves fell from the plate when she took it away, and they were left on the table. Even after the puddings were delivered, the staff made no attempt to clean up the mess. This inattentiveness, along with the mistakes with our order and poor quality food leads us to believe we will not be returning

Lovely enjoyable family meal for .my dads birthday. They were accommodating for the children giving out crayons and childrens menu. Food was great we had all sorts (8 of us), good choices for gluten free and veggie/vegan. Overall great.

We stayed here and had a lovely time. I booked through Booking.com and messed up the date but I rang the manager and he was really helpful and swapped it for me. Lovely room, really clean and had everything you need. We went downstairs to the bar and had a few drinks and there was an artist on, staff were all lovely. Will definitely stay again

We go to the tap haus at least once a month , after today I would not go back . We had to fetch our own drinks because of the length of time it was taking , there was no management that I could see , staff young girls looked like they did not know what to do . We were a family of 6 and we had no cutlery given even when the meal came , my burger was rock hard , my daughters boyfriend had no salad on his burger , my daughter had a gluten free sandwich , the bread was rock hard and barely eatable. My dads mustard chicken was chewy and overcooked , my husbands sunday lunch , the chicken he could not chew it so we gave it to our dog . Our bill came to £110.00 and honestly the food was diabolical , I would not go back , sorry tap haus but todays visit was terrible. Sam

What a beautiful place! We visited on Monday 17/6. It's not a place we normally go, tbh a takeaway during covid kinda put us off but wow, I'm glad we did. The best "pub" food I have had in a long time. I had Belly Pork and My husband had the Salmon linguine which were both absolutely 10/10 - served in decent time but would have happily waited longer anyway for that calibre of meal! The team are incredible. We encountered a lovely lady who greeted and seated us(and then very politely answered several questions from other visitors throughout the next couple of hours) . Local legend Tom who I think has been there 102 years or something 😂 and then a very friendly young man working the bar who was super helpful and friendly too. Cocktails 10/10 as was the beer. We actually loved the fact that you paid for everything as you went along as you could leave the second had finished with no awkward trying to get someones attention. If you haven't been in a while I'd definitely give it another go. We were more than impressed. New local favourite place? Quite possibly. Could not fault it.

AWFUL! Thought it would be nice to go with my daughter, bit of food and a chat. We weren't there long enough for a chat as we ended up leaving the food. Do not have the potato skins. I mean how hard is it to make this basic food. Potato was a edible solid mass I couldn't find any bacon and the salad was a lettuce leaf. On arrival, despite booking I was told 2 hour wait for food thank God it wasn't as I may have imploded due to being so Hangry, had to get my own cutlery and condiments and there was sick on the floor in the ladies. All in all absolutely pants and very disappointing. Needless to say, won't be going again....off to make myself a dinner!

Food was nice. The burger was large and tasty. My family enjoyed their food. The food service was very slow although the bar wasnt particularly busy for food. There was a bit of wet moppy smell in the area we were sitting in.

Wow, what a great find!! We were in town house hunting and needed a place to stay overnight. We’d planned to eat elsewhere but decided that we’d give the restaurant a go and oh boy were we glad that we did!! The floor manager greeted us with a big, friendly smile and showed us around the place whilst filling us in on good areas to look at properties. Later that evening we were greeted by the legend Louis and his wonderful team who made us feel more like family than guests! The food simply blew us away, it was all cooked fresh, the portions were very generous, the prices were more than fair and everything that we ordered was just bursting with flavour (we had the garlic mushrooms, meat platter and the veggie burger). After an epic meal we retired to our room where we had working air con, a lovely powerful shower and fresh & clean sheets on a comfy king size bed! We checked out quite early the following morning but decided to come back for lunch and a few drinks before we headed back to London! We both had a currywurst (one veggie and one meat) and they were both exquisite! We really didn’t want to leave this absolute gem of a restaurant/lodge but we unfortunately had to come home… I can not recommend this place enough and we will 100% be back! Thanks for having us 😁

Atmosphere was a bit quiet as It was Monday afternoon. Food was good, I opted for the mixed grill which was a BEAST but very delicious. Service was excellent and waiters were all so sweet. Happy 8 Years Tap Haus!

Great food, good value and exceptional service, exactly as you would expect from a German themed pub/ restaurant. Nowhere in Mansfield can you get the selection of beers available here, reasonably priced too

We booked our table for 18:30hrs, we arrived at 1826hrs, ordered our food and received our main meal at 20:10hrs. there was probably only one chef working, the food looks good and that was it, fish was slightly undercooked, it wasn't a busy night but there was alot of waiting around for the food, when its time to pay, I showed my army ID card (Wed-Service Day Plus, Police, Defence, Fire Service etc) to get a 25%discount, the waiter asked me,what is this card for, I than had to explained to him of their Wednesdays Service Plus day than he asked me for another ID just confirm my identity???, even though on my army ID, it has my name, my DOB and my photo. I rest my case! I look forward to next Wednesday.

I forgot something at a restaurant recently and immediately called them after leaving. They assured me it had been found and placed in the office for me to collect. That was nearly three months ago. Despite visiting the restaurant several times since, the staff have repeatedly told me they cannot find my item. The manager even took my husband's phone number, promising to contact us, but we never received any call. When we visited today to follow up, the manager raised his hands and claimed he had no idea where my item was or what had happened to it. No resolution or compensation was offered. We are extremely disappointed by the restaurant's negligence and disrespectful attitude. It’s not just about the lost item, but about the complete lack of responsibility and customer care. If you decide to visit this restaurant, be sure to leave your belongings in your car. If you forget something, there’s a good chance they will "lose" it too.

Atrocious service and the staff were very un accommodating. Sat us down and then came to the table to ask us what drinks we would like, they made us pay for the drinks there and then, we then went to the bar to ask to order food due to them not coming back over to the table, where they told us none of the starters or mains with chicken were available, despite not mentioning anything before we sat down. Had to leave and find somewhere else. Will not be returning.

The food, service and prices were all great. There was a large rowdy group in when we visited, which wasn't ideal, but the staff gave us a heads up on the way in and really couldn't have been nicer throughout. Looking forward to our next visit. I highly recommend the Schweinshaxe 👌

Beautiful day for a sit in the sunshine with a cold beverage. Our waitress Megan provided service with a smile and did not keep us waiting. We did not eat today but the food looked and smelled amazing. Will definitely be coming again.

Had a lovely evening here tonight, made outstanding by our waiter Louis. He was amazing. Great sense of humour, very attentive, but not overly so. Food was great, portion size was spot on! And all for a great price!

Hot, fresh and the prices are extremely reasonable. Lunch for 2 for £25 is fantastic. The young chap with the black curly hair serving on the floor + bar was lovely. Very polite and checked everything was okay. However, when we first walked in we were greeted by a blonde haired girl in a turtle neck who was the epitome of rudeness. Manager im assuming? Or As-Manager. We asked for a table for 2, to which she proceeded to waft 2 menus in our face and say "Any of these tables here". Not even a "Hello". Having worked in the restaurant trade for 10 years i know every trick in the book to 'making yourself look busy' at the host point, and she was definitely doing that as she was furiously typing away at the host computer before talking to us, looking visibly annoyed at our presence. We sat down at our table and ordered food. She then came over and dumped cutlery and sauces without a single word. Unfortunately i did say "thankyou", I suppose i'm just wired to be polite? As we were sat near the host point we overheard her talking to another staff member or colleague saying "I didn't talk to you like s***". Lovely, just as i'm tucking into my steak sandwich. Really has put me off returning i must say, which is a shame, as i mentioned before, the venue is lovely, food? Fantastic. Hostess? Awful. We were a burden to her from the moment we stepped foot in the place, bare in mind this was about 12:30pm on a Wednesday afternoon.. Hardly packed out like the Ritz.

I'm a German pilsner drinker so a little biased, they warsteiner on tap that's enough for me. Sunday lunch is also superb.

Lovely staffi can't recommend. A better place for service. These young people are an absolute credit to themselves. All have been clearly blessed with neurodivergence yet they are happy polite and dam hard working!!!!! I will be back !!!!!!♡♡♡

We popped for a meal as a family .. as we arrived on a Friday around 6 there wasn’t a free table in the pub / dog friendly side ( speaks volumes) but shortly after ordering drinks from the vast range of hand pulled beers a table became available… Sean was amazing he introduced himself and made us aware of a large party ordering food so there may be a delay in our order - this wasn’t an issue for us as we weren’t in a rush but we appreciated the excellent communication- Our order came quite quickly anyway and even though the whole place was packed it was amazing ( the chef really is excellent) we had x2 chilli prawn starters which was succulent and so tasty and a good size For mains we had x2 mixed grills ( obviously local quality sourced ingredients) and a battered fish with new potatoes and mushy peas ( perfectly cooked ) - we also had 4 Erdingers and 2 Birra Moretti - the bill was £105 including the drinks … also this place is really dog friendly in the pub side which is large and Sean made a big fuss of our dog and brought treats and a bowl of water … Sean was really friendly and very approachable and was really chatty with us and other tables making sure we were all happy

Booked on website and never got a response, rang 3 times throughout the day and no answer? party of 8 had to go else where.

This is a real gem. We stayed two nights and the rooms were really comfy with great amenities. The staff were really friendly and welcoming and the food was amazing. We've already booked to come back!

Food is great and owner/manager is always very friendly and welcoming… however the rest of the staff are rude, dismissive, unhelpful… they lie to you and frequently turn away paying customers when the owner isn’t there. It’s a shame because it’s great to support local independent businesses but the staff turn you away when the owner isn’t working …

There was a good range of vegetarian food, however they were not good quality. I had the vegan chicken schnitzel burger, the chunky chips were nice and they had mock meat but the patty was thin and dry paired with a sourdough style bun with no sauce so it was like eating sandpaper. I asked for sauce but it still didn’t counteract the dryness of the burger and I couldn’t finish it. My partner had the vegetarian currywurst, it was mock meat sausage but the curry was bland again tasting like basic curry sauce with a bit of tomato ketchup. They offered 3 spice variations and he chose medium, there was absolutely no spice to the sauce. The food wasn’t expensive but it also wasn’t the cheapest so I would expect slightly higher quality. Very disappointed as we specifically chose this place for the vegetarian options and also dog friendly.

We went tap haus in mansfield woodhouse last night .wonderful evening made extra special by lovely food and fantastic staff . In particular Louis. What a wonderful young man .very professional. Visited here on Saturday with the family, it’s safe to say that tap haus have really upped their game.✨ I have visited here before, however, the menu wasn’t as good as it is now, there is plenty of choice of food on the new menu. All of my family members had something different to eat, and we all said it was amazing food! The waiter was also very nice and welcoming! I will 100% be returning! 😁

Spent the night while walking in the Area, very accommodating and pleasant staff. Room was nice and quiet even though it was a busy Saturday night which was perfect for our 2 year old daughter. Incredibly helpful when I forgot something and had to go back after checkout. Would definitely stay and eat here again thanks

Been here several times now ! Never had any issues with food or its price, served hot and delicious. On this particular visit, I was told only the bar tables were available despite the restaurant side being almost empty both on arrival and departure, the bar side was busy and there wasn't really much space for 4 of us, we managed to move to a much larger table, of our own accord, when another guest left. We will certainly be back but perhaps FOH team could be a little more helpful in preparing a suitable space when inviting us in.

Pretty bad beer list for something calling itself Tap Haus. Basically generic pub it’s ok, not bad.

We both ordered the "homemade" lasagne and garlic foccacia, there was no meat in the lasagne or white sauce, the whole dish consisted of lasagne sheets and passata, the foccacia was plainly just toasted and dry, no garlic whatsoever, told someone it was dry and she just said "oh yes, not good is it", we will not be returning, it was terrible even my dog wouldn't have touched it

Really nice meal and good service. If I’m being critical I would say the menu is probably too large and needs a tidy up.Also whilst it is good food I think it coul be presented a little better. This is being hypa critical but I believe with some subtle changes it would go to the next level.

Had lovely food and cocktails served by a nice chap louis. Very good at his job. A*** cheers he even signed my pizza box lol

Lovely pub/restaurant on the outskirts of Mansfield, great selection of food & great prices..warm atmosphere & cosy in the evenings..will definitely visit again.
