The Mandarin in Mansfield

Huge portions of delicious food, delivered hot and on time. Even better, I made a mistake with my order and had a phone call to check on it before I had time to phone them. Will definitely be back.

If you enjoy good Chinese food then this is the place to go,the food is excellent,piping hot every time and very good portions,with a more than excellent Menu choice.

Food a bit bland, doesn't take card payments although it says so on the website. Only went there as The Golden Bridge takeaway was shut. Probably will just go on a Chinese free week until Golden Bridge reopens after Chinese New year.

Just had a meal delivered. Arrived within the E.T.A. Thai green curry was amazing. Plenty of choice on the menu. Would highly recommend.

My local Chinese, always good service. My pregnant girlfriend thought the food was so nice she got all emotional.

Absolutely awful 😡 it had no taste the rice was starchy and didn't have any flavour. The beef was chewy and looked disgusting, the pork was awful. Mini rolls were bad, the chips were gross. I will not be ordering again. I don't know where the 4 stars have came from.

Great food. I collected and it was ready within 5 minutes of my requested collection time. Every dish was delicious

I ordered Diet Coke and they gave me a warm full sugar can diabetic people don’t drink full sugar coke. the chips were soggy

Just this second had a takeaway from here and it was truly awful. Both meals greasy and yuk. This was the first time we have had a meal from here and it will most definitely be the last. In the bin it went. Trust me, never again

Best chips ever! The chow mein was disappointing - a bit greasy and medium noodles (I like fine) but DH's Beef in black bean sauce was very good.

First time of ordering food from here. I can say it was absolutely lovely. We will definitely be ordering from here again. Food was great. Delivery was early. Food was piping hot.

the food was amazing so we are not bothered that it was late. best Chinese we have had in a long time we will be ordering again from here so hope the next ones are as good as the first.

I'd like to say the food was nice but ordered over an hour ago and now received a text for 30 minute delays. Not the service you'd expect to be paying for.

part of order wasn’t all there. phone the restaurant and was sent out what was wrong in record time. I get takeout from this restaurant every so often. will keep using this restaurant.

Rice was tasteless and the chicken if that's what it was in the curry and chicken balls was mushy and slimy. Won't be ordering again non of us enjoyed our meal unfortunately.

again very nice food from mandarin. the chicken tasted different to normal in the chow mein so unsure if changed the recipe of that. think the portions of duck may be a little smaller too but really nice food. will definitely order from mandarin again and again as it’s the only takeaway me and my husband both enjoy

On time even in extreme weather cinditions

Ordered to be delivered. It never arrived and after nearly 2 hours tried calling. No answer. Had to drive to the takeaway to complain and only then did they start preparing our order. The food was good enough but will never order from here again.

We didn’t really enjoy the meal. Nothing in particular wrong with it, just not the best we’ve ever had, but the chips were really nice.

The food was all delicious. We had a variety of dishes including the steak from the English menu and it was all great. Will definitely be ordering again.

The food was supposed to be here at 850. It came at 935! When it arrived it was cold. It would have been ok I think if it was warm. So disappointed. Never had a problem before

Used to highly recommend the mandarin, unfortunately not any more. We have used it now for nearly 15 years long before just eat and through several sets of owners. I have to say they deliver one of the best steaks in Mansfield. Unfortunately the Chinese side has suffered. My favorite for many years was the salted chicken - unfortunately this on the last 3 orders has been very dry and practicality uneatable. Quite often to the point of upset stomachs where tried. Wish it had stayed the same

Arguably the best mandarin take away in the midlands...when you go in to collect your food your looking right into the kitchen,which is spotless.

Chips had been re fried numerous times and curry sauce tasted like it had been burnt ! Not good if you cannot get basic chips and curry sauce right.

That was the worst take away food I have ever had, full of salt and no tast other than SALT poor very and it cost me just short off £20 feeling very angry 😤

Best place for this type of food in Mansfield have been coming for years and they never fail to fill my tummy with goodness :)

The Curry sauce was too thick and spicy in both meals and the fried rice was very sticky. Ended up leaving most of it. P Dring

Usually use another takeaway that is closer but the Mandarin has never failed to impress. Very good quality food and delivery staff very friendly and efficient. Food packaged well in a box and hot on arrival. Many thanks.

Great food but fried rice was missing

The worst Chinese I have had in at least 5 years. a complete health hazard and waste of money. The attitude of the restaurant disgusting. The poor lad that works on the phone needs to escape that place quickly, a clear demonstration of how to operate in bad business by completely ripping off your customers by serving them dog food and by treating them awfully.

Lovely food as always. However, I was disappointed to have received a beef dish rather than the chicken that I ordered. This is after a dish being wrong in my last order also. I had been travelling for 14 hours when I ordered today and did not have the will to call and correct it this time; but more care does need to be paid to what your customers request, especially with an hour+ wait time on a Friday!

Plenty of choice on menu. Takeaway can collect or have food delivered. Always arrives on time. Staff friendly.

I ordered off the just eat menu and i ordered "chips with rice and chicken" the food arrived extremely late and they put curry sauce in the dish when I specifically picked the option that didn't have curry sauce. I rang the store and they were useless offered no help or exchange and tried to tell me I was in the wrong poor customer service!

The chicken tasted off, the meat had no sauce on it and everything was over cooked. The smell was horrible. I don't think we will be ordering again

Worst takeaway i have ever had! The food was delivered Late, and when it arrived it turned up in fried chicken boxes, the chow mein was like mush and the chicken balls and rice were Rock hard! Was barely edible!

Got the order wrong the first time, my partner drove to the takeaway to sort things out. We waited for the right order to be delivered to our house, the delivery driver had driven past the house 3 times in an extremely dangerous manner. My partner yet again rang and told the takeaway what had happened and was told the driver would be spoken too, when the driver finally showed up, he didn't apologise just took the wrong order shoved the right one in my hand and went back to the car. Again leaving in an manner that I would expect on a race track not a quiet housing estate where children and pets are. The food had no care when put in the bag and the containers had leaked, not only this but they again messed up the order by missing out some of it. Disgusted is an understatement.

Not even worth 1 star was disgusting and un edible! It was Greasy, the curry sauce was like sweet glue, the seaweed tasted like sugar, the chow mein tasted old and re-heated about 100 times. Only tried here as my usual Canton was closed. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Ordered food and told the delivery time would be 45min, after an hour I rang to find out where my order was. I was told it would be with me in 5 mins as the driver was on the way, 15minutes later with no sign of my food I cancelled the order to go elsewhere. Don't bother, go elsewhere.
