The best bacon cob (bread roll) you have ever tasted (three rashers of crispy bacon) together with a lovely friendly atmosphere and value for money.

Sadly received a very unfriendly welcome from the chap working on Saturday 21st Dec for the breakfast slot. No idea what the issue was but it ruined things from the off for us all and we felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. We were booked for breakfast, 7 friends and asked on the day if 2 extras could join us for drinks only as they didn't have time to stay for breakfast. He didn't seem impressed by the additions to the group (but we did ask, not assume) so could easily have said no if it was an issue rather than leave 2 of the group stood without chairs for over 10 minutes.. there was no one else in the room we were sat in, it was deserted so I would have been pleased with any additional paying customers if it were my business. He kept coming in and out of the room so it was obvious chairs were still needed but he just left them standing, it was bizarre! We eventually asked if we could move a couple of chairs from one of empty tables (still no one else had arrived).. he didn't know! The table could sit 8 anyway but only had 7 chairs in situ so no big issue to add an extra one at the end of the table and acquire the missing chair, there was plenty of room! In the end one of the group gave up and left and the other took a chair from one of the empty tables (yep still no one else had arrived so it wasn't busy!). It is meant to be unlimited coffee and tea with breakfast but this seemed hard to acquire and we had to ask for refills.. not offered. Filter coffee was lukewarm and milk was hard to come by for the tea when that was finally refilled .. maybe bring milk too when tea is refilled or ask if more is needed! We will never return or recommend.. many much nicer, friendlier places to go in our opinion. Odd way to run a business that should be all about hospitality! We came for a nice experience to round off the year but left feeling fed up and disappointed.. what a shame.

Great food and excellent service

Three of us met for lunch at softleys today . We all had the Christmas three course lunch and were not disappointed. Absolutely delicious food ! Wonderful surroundings and attentive staff . Will definitely be returning. Thank you !

Visited today and had a lovely meal at The Carlton Inn. Plenty choice and a varied menu. Pleasant and attentive staff, made to feel very welcome.

Completely underwhelming and quite expensive. Small portion and as you can see from the photo, won't be eating all of them! Staff were too busy larking around to get peoples order correct. Disappointed and won't be going there again.

Stopped off on way through, and found this gem of a place, I really would recommend a visit, it truly is a gem, food is excellent and service is superb. We had Eggs Benedict and a BLT, it was lovely and made to your liking, superb. Keep up the great food guys if you read these.

Visited here last Friday with the girls. Great venue, large yet still cozy, well styled, nice atmosphere. Service great, food great, will be back.

I can see why the reviews are so mixed, we ordered a takeaway of 2 pizzas and olives with breads and one pizza was ok the other not so great, overall you could probably get a better pizza in Asda, the olives and breads were good but would expect much better with the pizza.

The coffee and cake was ok. Thought the Cafe was strange and seemed cut off inside. Get rid of the horrible blind curtain things at the window, they are too big and over the worktop for the higher chairs, also the sticks in the corner?? The place was clean but totally lacked any atmosphere or music. The cafe could be made to look much warmer with some softer furnishings as it’s hard floors, very little decor and it needs a woman’s touch! Only 2 other people in there when we were and it was deathly quiet and cut off and you can’t see outside into the courtyard. Couldn’t wait to leave- won’t be returning.

Lovely produce, including a range of cheeses, chutneys, crackers, etc. The Red Leicester was delicious. Friendly staff and lovely atmosphere.

First time in just for a beer. Good beer and excellent service also good atmosphere. Cannot comment on the food never had any.

The food and beer was fine. However, 4 days later we received a bill for £100 for apparently contravening the parking rules. They disclaimed ownership of their car park but said they would get it cancelled. They didn’t……. They subsequently said they’d cancelled too many so they couldn’t cancel mine. So a meal out has, so far, required two return visits, writing two letters to Premier Park Ltd and the bill has escalated to £170. I don’t like to use the word “never” , but the chances of us going there again is zero.

This is Willowbank. We have been regulars at this curry takeout since we moved here last May. I can not fault the food as it has always been delicious, but the service over the past couple of orders has been disappointing, from orders being cancelled to food being missed or forgotten to waiting 2 hours for delivery... We had the promise today of an order being rectified from last week so ordered again, and we were given chicken tikka instead of lamb tikka and our salads for our starters were missed once again. As much as we love the food here, considering how often we order from this place and the same order each time, think we are now considering going elsewhere...

Food was hot… a big plus for me. Need more table staff and staff do need to keep an eye on the desserts as they were often all gone
