I can see why the reviews are so mixed, we ordered a takeaway of 2 pizzas and olives with breads and one pizza was ok the other not so great, overall you could probably get a better pizza in Asda, the olives and breads were good but would expect much better with the pizza.

If you want to experience garlic overload and one sauce fits all meals then this is the place to go. Soggy garlic cheese giabatta and when asked if you meal was OK bearing in mind hardly any was eaten nothing was done about it. To top it all we were overcharged all in all not a pleasant experience

If you DONT LOVE.... fabulous food, very reasonably priced, and you DONT LOVE... warm genuine hospitality.....then this is DEFINITELY NOT the place for you.... BecauseThe Dixie has ALL and infact many more, of the above very welcome and much needed commendable qualities ......My advice to anyone, even those not staying at the Dixie,is to actually drop in, and sample it for yourself....personally speaking, ime glad I happened to walk into this hidden little gem..... The spaghetti carbonara is simply to die for... the steak and the home made peppercorn sauce, was bloody georgous, and although it wasn't served to me by a waiter called "manuel" you do occasionally see a slight hint of basil in the Geordie landlady...ha ha...ENJOY...ICertainly did....

Great menu, great service, friendly welcome, tasty pizza. Good value for money and a open fire in the bar to keep you warm. Thank you

We visited Market Bosworth overnight and had a lovely meal here. The young Waiter serving us was very nice and said they had a very talented Chef and he was not wrong. The Italian food we had was delicious and we will return if we are in the area again.

My meal at the Dixie Arms Bella Piazza Italian cafe was excellent with a double shot of Hendrick's Gin (no Martini possible) followed by olives and then shrimp on a crust of bread topped with a red sauce that would be well accepted in New Orleans restaurants. The server relayed my compliments to the owner. The service was great, but I was the only diner. The decor is simple.

Asked for kids food to come out ASAP and all starters/mains to be brought out when they were ready as we were all hungry. Asked for bread/olives to be brought out ASAP too. Wrong children’s food brought to table. We took it anyway as the kids were tired and very hungry and asked the order was changed to reflect we had taken this pizza (although we didn’t order it). Food was actually quite nice overall although the prawns on bruschetta was very soggy and soaked through. Then after we had nearly finished, bread and olives finally arrived but were simply left on the table end with no apology or explanation. The restaurant was busy with only one waitress but she appeared confused and inexperienced. We waited to order drinks from the waitress but after not seeing her for 15 mins and then seeing her run past, we finally gave up and ordered our drinks at the bar (who were both really helpful). Finally, we asked for the bill. 5 mins later no bill and then the waitress asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu. ‘No thanks. We have to go the kids are tired. Can we please have the bill?’ The bill was still wrong. 😳 we just didn’t have the heart to tell them or complain (or rather we didn’t want to wait to see the waitress to tell her…as she had disappeared again.

We visited as a group of four on a Saturday evening and had a great time. There is a fantastic choice of pizza and pasta on the menu, as well as specials. Portion size is ample, presentation and food quality is great too. We had excellent service from Angel. I love the decor here, with red and green check table cloths. The restaurant was fairly quiet when we visited, which is a shame as this is a little gem.

While staying at a local hotel, I had a walk through the village and found this little gem. Dining alone I was made to feel very welcome by all the staff. Decided on a Camembert and Prosecco evening and both were delicious. Also squeezed in a sticky toffee pudding. The next evening, I couldnt shake the feeling that I wanted to go back and try some more of the amazing dishes, so I did and had the chicken and mushroom Alfredo with a side of garlic bread. All portions were very generous. Will definitely return if I’m ever in the area again.

Four of us arrived (having booked) there were very few customers there. The waitress was lovely, we ordered our drinks first and then focused on the menu. Portions were generous (too much in both courses for us to finish) and the food delicious. We were surprised thatit was not busier.

Its a nice little place, helpful staff that give good attention. Had some bread and olive starter that was pretty tasty as the bread was nicely toasted, the oil dip good and the olives sweet. The house red wine was very drinkable though the white was devoid of flavour. The pizzas were thin and crispy as I like them. Came away very happy with the overall meal.

Quite place with great character. Good food that is tremendous value. Staff are brilliant. Not sure what a previous reviewer meant by cash only as we used cards. Well worth a try. Tradition pub right next door for pre drinks.

Disappointed with this restaurant. The table linen was stained and the tables themselves were not cleaned properly. The Seafood Spaghetti was overcooked, and had lots of sauce but very few seafood. Pizza was average. Long walk though the adjacent bar if you need the toilet.

Went here for dinner last night with my female family members... All I can say is ... Excellent..... the customer service from the lady that served us (wish I had got her name) was second to none... Food was really good, all freshly cooked, hot and tasty. We felt really relaxed and didn't feel pressured to leave... Will definitely go back when in the area.

We stopped here for a family get together over the xmas period and were not disappointed. The service for drinks was quick and our order was taken in a timely manner.

We had a great night together - 2 couples. The food was ok - pretty good overall. The reality is that you can have comparable food in probably nicer surroundings... the Pub next door is a little on the rough side.

Phoned mid afternoon to book a table, we arrived earlier than we had booked, the staff were really helpful and accommodated our early arrival. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced, staff were always on hand to tend to our requests for more wine and were more than worthy of a decent tip, recommend to anyone.

We eat here often and have never been disappointed. Food is fresh, ingredients are of an obvious high quality and the price is fair. Waiting staff are lovely too

Visited on Saturday which must be our 5th visit and it definitely feels that it is on a downward slope. We had to wait ages to get menu's/drinks/food etc and pizza's for four and desserts for 3 took nearly 3 hours from arrival to leaving.

Bit of a missed opportunity sadly, absolutely NO atmosphere not even any music, needs to detach from the pub, as full pub cheering to the football in the next room feels really strange when your supposed to be in a restaurant.

We arrived about 8 and were the only customers on a Friday night. A little daunting. The two waitresses were very pleasant and got us seated and drinks. Wine and a much needed coffee. Both excellent. A lasagna and arrabiatta later and we were happy. Garlic bread sadly very poor and badly overpriced. Apart from that, excellent.

OK to pop in for a pizza but be prepared to wait a while and pay over the odds. Not somewhere I would rush back to but pleasant enough if in a group.

Visited the restaurant recently, walked into Bosworth from the Ashby Canal took us about 25 minutes up hill into the village. As previous reviews attached to the Dixie arms hotel. Food very good, served quickly and was not rushed at all. The atmosphere was great with Italian music which was really nice.Will certainly return.

Service was good by waitress long wait until food arrived 4 pizza's all very poor hardly any toppings & tasteless we will not be going again. Iv'e had better Pizza from Aldi for a £1

We visited as a family group of four on a Saturday evening and had a great time. Staff are very friendly. Prices are sensible. We did have a long wait for our food, but thought that the food quality was excellent, once it arrived. Definitely worth a visit.

Went here on Saturday 15th April booked in advance which really we didn't need too as customers just coming in off the street. Food quite nice, hubby didn't really get what he asked for it wasn't properly explained on the specials board but he still enjoyed. Waiting staff again very friendly and asked whether our meals were OK. Not a big restaurant but worth a visit.

Well the decor is very plain tables etc all seem to be a little temporary.We ordered pizzas and when they arrived They looked very plain toppings were so poor it looked embarrassingIf people who rate this place keep goingGood luck to themShall never return

Due to a very pooor experience in the hotel we had booked into, my partner and I walked into town and ate in this restaurant. Lovely waiting staff and very tasty food. Defo worth a visit!!

We ate at The Dixie Arms but won't again. My husbands burger was the thinnest I've ever seen. I had cod & chips, the chips were ok but the batter was very dark brown, heavy, greasy & raw on the inside. I removed it, only to find a thin slither of fish. I was still hungry when we left. I informed the waitress what we thought before leaving & she said she would pass it on.

We visited here whilst staying at Bosworth Hall hotel. What a lovely atmosphere, nice wine, friendly staff and a good menu.Unfortunately the service was very slow. We weren't in a rush but when you book for 8 o'clock, getting your starter way after 9 is a little daft. I only had mini brucetta, I was absolutely starving. What are they doing in the kitchen? Not the waitresses fault but they didn't acknowledge once that we has been waiting so long :/The mains took their time too, we joked about nipping to the COOP for a sandwich :) The mains came and were very nice,although again, not sure what took so long, starters were excellent by the way. We didn't have a dessert, not sure how much longer we wanted to sit at the table. All in all, a lovely place , with nice food, but please try and serve a little quicker, it was becoming a bit of a joke.

Visited on a Saturday night when staying nearby. Staff were very welcoming and happy to provide a simple pasta and cheese for the youngest. Pizzas were freshly cooked and really tasty, baked chicken pasta delicious. Highly recommended.

I was visiting the area when I noticed that the restaurant did 2 for 1 pizzas on Mondays and Tuesdays, so I naturally tried it out. Nice place, nice staff, nice homemade pizzas!

We contacted the restaurant before we went to ensure that they were happy to cater for vegans, and they were hugely helpful. We all ate pizzas, and both vegan and vegetarians were very happy. Don't know how they make their pizzas so delicious, but they do! Great place for lunch :)

We had a family meal, 1stly drinks served wrong, starter was okay apart from stale bread, main course calazones came as pizzas and spaghetti Bolognese was salty and inedible. Sadly would not recommend to family and friends. To top it all only male toilet had no lock on door.

Thought we would give La Bella Piazza a try as we have not long moved into the area. We both love the style of pizza that you get in the south of France and were surprised in a good way by what we were served. lovely thin and well cooked pizza. If we would have ordered 2 glasses of Rose wine we could have completed the illusion. The staff were really great, really friendly and attentive. will definitely go back to try some other dishes.

Triying to find a cheap proper lunch in Market Bosworth, we went to the Dixie Inn which had 2 for £12. We had a burger and scampi. They were both nice enough and we ate them. The burger came with skinny fries, and the scampi came with homecooked chips and homemade tartar sauce.With a pint of coke and half a lager, it came to £16, which was good value.Service was good but the pub was pretty dead!Not cordon bleu although the plates were fancy, but it filled a hole and I definately wouldn't shoot it down, it did what it said on the tin.

Booked a table for 2 as a Saturday treat, welcome and service was good although the waitress was a bit annoying saying no problem every time we said anything and she didn't know much about the menu. We chose the sharing starter of a selection of toasted breads, a variety of oils, and olives, what a let down. it was a dish of mixed olives( fine) a bowl of olive oil with a tiny amount of balsamic in it (not various oils) and some very pale looking pieces of petite pan which had been no where near a toaster probably from the co-op across the road. The mains were ok but the salad another let down very basic and not good quality. Web site says newly refurbished we thought it could do with a good clean or a lick of paint all in all a disappointing evening.

Nice meals although a bit basic on the mains special. One special ordered was not available so a free pizza was enjoyed.. a very nice gesture. Nice ambiance and nice staff, attentive, knowledgeable, not pushy. Good menu choice, food well presented and well cooked.

Visited with 3 friends following a spa day at Bosworth Hall. The service was very good and the lady serving was friendly and chatty. The main courses were delicious and very generous. And reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend

I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. The service as second to none, the quailty of the food we ordered was delicious and the size of the meals meant no one was going home hungry. The owner, Alex, needs to be commended, she is a workaholic, running both the restaurant and the pub next door, she never stops. We were staying over at Bosworth Hall and saw a few other residents having a meal which made a good topic of conversation next morning. Everyone we spoke to said it was superb.

All the staff were helpful and polite, the woman serving us was very aproachable and warm and made us very welcome. The food was delicious, we all really enjoyed ourselves. would recomend.

Not a lot to write about this place. We visited on a busy bank holiday and no tables until later. Looked basic in decor the smell of food was not agreeable. Did n't eat there.

We went on a Wednesday evening. At first the staff were a bit unwelcoming and overall a bit slow, she originally seemed to not want us in telling us that the kitchen was closing soon. We were 4 adukts and a child. The pizzas are great but the starters bit and miss; the calamari was clearly out the freezer and ready made. Once we had our food the only member of staff disappeared into the pub attached so it was difficult to order drinks or note that one dish read missing an element. Might have been an off day, but the pizzas were good enough to make up for it.

Unfortunately we didn't actually get to sample the food as the 'service' we received from the waitress in charge was abysmal. We (three of us) arrived at 7.20pm (no table booked) to be to told that they were expecting a large table (10 - not large to me but there you go) at any time and could we come back at 8pm (obviously she felt the kitchen couldn't cope with yet another table). We went into the bar to wait and went back at 8pm only to be told by the same incompetent waitress that they still did not have a table available but if 'we gave it 5 minutes she would move tables and fit us in'. We went back to the bar but gave up at 8.20pm - hungry we decided to give our money to another establishment in the village instead. We live in Market Bosworth and don't have any intention of attempting to visit La Bella Piazza until they train their front of house staff better. Very disappointed.

I have visited this little gem of an Italian in the heart of Market Bosworth on several occasions, my latest being last night with my partner and her young daughter. All I can honestly say is this, try it for yourselves because I`ve been to Italy and I`ve eaten in posh ones here too......and this lives up to the best of them. The lady that was waitressing last night was "as usual" extremely efficient and a wonderful host on top of which we had wonderful pizzas (with oh so light dough to die for, my favourite being the spicy Italian pepperoni one!), perfect pasta with spicy arrabiata sauce that would give Jamie Oliver a run for his money. And all followed with bellissimo deserts that we all agreed deserved 10 out of 10. A perfect place for a taste of Italy!My excuse for returning very soon will be to ask the waitress her name as its the only thing I didn`t manage to get, all in all a fantastic evening at this little gem. Well done to all the staff, you have certainly worked very hard to set the bar as high, keep it up!!Many thanks Gary, Lisa & Megan

Just went for a drink to the Dixie Arms as the other pub Olde Red Lion was packed - should have stayed there. Dixie Arms was cold with a few locals hogging the bar and the barmaid showed no interest in serving us or other visitors - having to ask a few times to be served as too busy chatting up the local lads. Felt unwelcome so left

Set in a pub, the ambiance is pleasant, the service friendly and the food reasonable. Easily caters for family size groups.

We stayed at the Bosworth Hall for a few nights for my birthday and went into town to eat at a local restaurant. Right from walking in the door we found the restaurant to be very 'sweet' Italian flags and music. Authentic but not tacky. We were greeted by a very friendly waitress, who couldn't do enough for us throughout our evening. The bruschetta starter was out of this world. And I had chicken wrapped in Parma ham for mains, my fiancé had the lasagne. We both had plenty of drinks and the whole evening was so lovely. And very reasonably priced. Just as we were chatting after finishing our mains, the lovely waitress came over (totally unexpected) and presented me with a slice of cake with a candle in. The final touch of the evening that made it perfect. Thank you. To the chef and the staff involved we stumbled on the place by chance walking past, and I'm so glad we did. If we stay in the Bosworth area again I wouldn't hesitate to return here for another wonderful evening. <3

We had the place to ourselves. The waitress was charming and willing to have a laugh with us. No complaints about the food!

We was stopping at a hotel for the night and decided to pop here for a meal as it had some good reviews but it turned out to be very disappointing We started with the chicken liver pate and garlic mushrooms the pate didn't taste of anything very bland didn't even taste of chicken liver the mushrooms wasn't too bad then we had a topped chicken served with chips which was burnt and I went all out to order the 8oz ribeye stk which turned up with 2 cherry tomatoes and 2 little mushrooms the stk was supposed to be medium rare but because it was so thin it was well done plus about 8 burnt chips as a chef myself I always give the benefit of the doubt so when the waitress came up and asked if everything was ok with the meal we said it was ok couldn't moan at the waitresses as they're only doing there job sorry guys not good food at all

Popped in on the off chance on a Monday night, there was an offer of BOGOF for pizzas. Starter and pizzas were well presented and tasty. Waitress was pleasant and friendly. Nice setting for a meal.

Both myself and my partner visited here for Valentines day, it was set out nicely with heart balloons on each chair and valentines banners around the restaurant. We were served by two women and both were very friendly and smiley and made us feel welcome throughout our meal. For starters we had a pizza garlic bread which was delicious and would definitely recommend, then we had a chicken dish and pasta dish which were also tasty. My partner also had a fudge cake which she thoroughly enjoyed, I would highly recommend this place and would definitely come back here again on our next visit to Market Bosworth.

Visited this restaurant with a friend for a girlie night out.Confusion on arrival as even though I'd booked and said my name clearly, the waitress had trouble understanding me and after saying two other names, that were not mine, I literally had to spell it out, then hey presto she found the booking! So the evening didn't really start well, but my friend and I just laughed it off.We ordered a main only, there was a good size menu offering pizza, pasta, steaks, fish, chicken along with a good selection of starters, so really catered for all tastes.There was also a specials board and from that I ordered tagliatelle with pancetta and spinach in a Gorgonzola sauce, absolutely delicious!! My friend ordered penne with chicken, again delicious!! We also ordered some garlic bread with mozzarella, unfortunately we were served by the waitress who had trouble finding our booking, and we ended up with just garlic bread! We did just laugh it off and settled for garlic bread without the mozzarella, but not a very good impression.We didn't have dessert, so cannot comment on those.The restaurant was fairly busy for a Saturday night, but did feel another member of staff would have helped.I will go back again, couldn't fault the food at all.

Myself and my partner eat here a lot, him being from the states, he likes his pizza! I tried this place on a Monday night with an old friend, and loved it.We went for pasta this time around, and they were just as good as the food here always is, hot, creamy sauce full of flavour and super satisfying. They did have an issue with the fizz in the soda, that was kinda annoying, but can't be helped, and our waitress was super apologetic about it.She had a till issue at one point which meant we had to wait a little while to pay, but as we're never in a rush anyway this wasn't an issue.I even indulged in a dessert!Food off the freaking hook as always, and a good atmosphere, this place is becoming a firm FAVE in the Hemming-Lynch household!

My friend and I had a latte in the pub while waiting for the restaurant to open-it was barely warm.The coke was very flat-this was blamed on the faulty gas canister.The big chips were hot and delicious,but the chicken in prosciutto was luke warm-covered in a congealed tomato sauce-when I mentioned this to the young waitress she didnt offer to replace it,and we were charged full price.The waffle desert had clearly been nuked in a microwave-it had blackened,scorched patches that were hard and totally inedible.We waited ages for the bill and never got our change-perhaps a ploy to get a large tip?The waitress didnt even say goodbye..Utterly disappointing..this is a pub pretending to be an Italian restaurant and failing miserably..we definitely wont be returning and will warn family and friends to give it a wide berth too..such a contrast to the Indian opposite which offers superb cuisine and customer service.

a long timer back, when visiting the uk, i visited this place, and was super impressed.Last weekend when bringing my girlfriend with me, i decided to try again.the place was super busy, and we were a bit nervous, but we had no reason to be.staff were attentive, and as sweet as before. there was a new girl working, who seemed a little nervous at first, but was very polite and calm, despite having a group of about 10 teenagers to deal with! there was a small wait on food, but staff kept us updated, and with the amount of people sat in the restaurant with us, we did expect it to be longer than it was! the food is fantastic here, well worth the wait. and the pizza's are thin and crisp, without being dry (whoever your pizza chef is, can he come work in my kitchen at home ha!) however the one thing that always gets me with this place is the value for money, is exceptional. back home for an Italian meal this good we're talking double the price in dollars. to top off everything, they had a performer next door in the bar, and an amazing atmosphere, plenty of space to dance much to my girlfriend Mia's horror.an excellent end to a fabulous visit to the uk.

Our party of 4,had a fantastic evening at this restaurant.We all had a meal here on the Sat 16th Jan 2016,and enjoyed the great location in this beautiful village.Our service was great,and the staff were very welcoming,friendly,and very attentive to our needs.It was busy in there,which you would expect for a decent restaurant,on a Saturday night.There was a delay between starters and main course,but this is because the pizzas and pastas are all freshly made,and are all cooked to order.Well worth the delay though.Our pizzas and pastas dishes were awesome,and the plates went back empty,and our bellies really full !! Went into bar area next door,and a male vocalist,who could really sing well,which ended our great night here.Well done to all the members of staff concern,and keep up the good work.We will coming back here again very soon.10/10 folks.

We were staying in the local area and decided to book a table on Saturday night. On arrival at around 8pm the restaurant was very busy however we were greeted by friendly staff and shown straight to our table. We were given menus and told about the specials board. Our order did take a little while to be taken as a lot of tables had arrived at the same time but this wasn't a problem as it meant we didn't feel rushed. It was nice to the see the place so busy in January and have such a great atmosphere. The food did take a little while to come out but the staff kept us informed so we were never in the dark. The food we had was beautiful and you can tell it's all freshly prepared to order so was well worth the wait. I highly recommend the Sicilian pizza. On the whole a great evening finished off with some live music in the adjoining pub next door.

Having booked a relaxing weekend away, we decided to follow the positive online reviews and booked a table at the restaurant. On arrival, we were shown to our table and all seemed ok, however it would quickly go downhill from here on in. Firstly, we waited 40mins for our starter with apparently 'a slow small pizza cooker' to blame (a necessity in an Italian restaurant in my opinion!) next we waited a further 40 mins for our main which was quite nice to be fair. However whilst eating, we noticed another larger party complaining about poor service, with the two young girls on shift seemingly finding it funny! One of the girls seemed to be new and throughout the evening just didn't know what she was doing and had little guidance from the other. When the larger, very unhappy party had left, the two 'waitresses' then sat at their empty table and chatted about their weekend plans and how they hated working saturdays! They then engaged in conversation with a table of 2, in which foul language was used on more than one occasion. Finally, with only 4 tables left in the restaurant, the inexperienced waitress proceeded to put her coat on and stand near the till on her phone texting, whilst people waited for their bills. Appalled by the service, a further couple got up and asked if wasn't too much trouble to pay! Just to cap it off, the table next to us asked if we had been there since Tuesday - clearly shocked at the appalling service they have received as well! All in all, a terrible meal out and I would strongly recommend not booking a table!

Great food, service and value for money would definitely return. The young lady who waited on us was extremely chatty and slightly extrovert but very sweet.

You would not expect to find a restaurant in a pub !! This is a little gem, so friendly the Lady was so good to squeeze us in on a very busy night .The food is fantastic home made just perfect I would recommend La Bella as a must .

Excellent meal. The staff could not do enough for you! Real authentic meal. The service was quick and the food even appealed to my kids who are very fussy. The surroundings are appropriate for the type of restaurant and it is extremely well located in the centre of bosworth.
