Sovrano Caffe in Hinckley and Bosworth

We popped into town on a Sunday, and decided to have lunch. Not many places were open at the time. We came upon Savrano. It was a lovely little cafe. The staff were brilliant. Made us feel really welcome, and at ease. The food came very quickly, and it was lovely. We took a piece of cake home each. We would definitely recommend it to anyone as a couples, or with family and friends. Thank you very much

Lovely place! Great food & service

First time trying the Sovrano in Hinckley, after enjoying the Nuneaton cafe we decided to try it. We were unfortunately let down with the food, the chips were greasy, hard and overcooked. The 'panini' we ordered (which ended up being a toastie) was overcooked, tough and rock hard.

My wife and I went to Sovrano for the first time and were pleasantly surprised by the cosy atmosphere and rustic decor. The portion sizes were generous with great artistic coffee and an amazing burger. Will definitely be coming again.

Cold food and rudest people ever. Felt unwelcome and hated coming in for a lunch date. Not worth the time or my money. Do better you didn't need to be so horrible when costumers ask for more time to order

Such a lovely little place.. everything I have ever had has been gorgeous. I’m convinced that the negative reviews are simply from cheapskates. No it isn’t cheap here, but all of the food and coffees are lovely.. with the nicest, friendliest of staff to boot. You really feel at home and comfortable.

Awful cooked breakfast, low quality produce including tasteless sausages and soggy thin toast. Service was unbelievably poor. Give this place a miss if you're looking to have a tasty breakfast treat. Hope things improve there ....

breakfast was horrendous.... the cheapest ingredients deep fried with a fried egg that was crispy on the bottom and raw on top! first and last time i spend £28 on two breakfast,s and two drinks

I wasn't at all impressed with the food - the quality felt lazy and rip offy. Also paninis were the most expensive I've seen anywhere in the world - over £11 for a sandwich? I'm really sorry if you're struggling and had to increase the prices but the quality and taste just isn't worth the money :(

It's great to find a Caffè that knows what a flat white is. Clue to others :- it's not a small cafe latte. Thank you for a great coffee.

We had a lovely panini and cappuccino on Sunday lunch and would definitely recommend it.

Went on a Friday lunchtime so it was very busy and tables are very close together and a little noisy. Had a Nutella mocha which was delicious and shared a pizza, also delicious with plenty of toppings and lovely thin base. Despite it being busy service was good and staff were friendly and welcoming. Have been before and will definitely go again.

Nice to support a family business not a faceless franchise

Brilliant cafe. We had spaghetti with prawns and penne pasta with chicken , both had great tasty sauce ciabatta and a very fresh salad that accompanied them. Washed down with a cappuccino and Nutella mocha. Fantastic value and a bonus of a discount if you pay cash. Whilst in their we noticed all the food coming out looked fantastic and will be returning for a pizza. The owners and staff were very friendly to everyone of their customers.

A real little gem. We were looking for somewhere nice to eat but we didn't expect anywhere as good as this. Excellent food and service.

A lovely local independent cafe. We have eaten here in the past and it’s been very nice, but both my wife and I use it mainly for coffees. I like a nice strong coffee, as a latte and this cafe serves it just how I like it 👍

What can I say the manager Amaan is always stressed out, she’s been seen lashing out on her staff who are young 16 year old staff, she swears and prevents them from delivering the best customer service. The staff never stay they seem to walk out food is okey there are better cafes in hinckley The sad thing is they mimic customers with disability which I found despicable I will never go there again never go to a place where there is no humanity and respect for another human

Popped in for refreshments as visiting friends who live locally, no problem with food , the coffee Nutella wasn’t as I’m use to ( normally filled at the bottom with Nutella) would like to say friendly atmosphere but it wasn’t - not on the day I went it felt as though we were rushed.

Came for food and was absolutely disgusted with the way the manager spoke to her employees. She was being vile shouting at them for things they had no control over. Never coming back.

The whole experience was awful. Not friendly. Dull interior and not the best customer service. Food tasted microwaved and not fresh. Wont be back

Not a "Themed" cafe but an authentic place with home cooked food (you can watch them cooking) a pleasant atmosphere ( also seating outside for that Euro Cafe feel) and good service.. a must Visit when in Hinckley Town Center.

The food is absolutely fantastic, that's the first thing to say. However....from the word go our waitress was really short with us, impatient and seemed completely annoyed at us. I tried being friendly and we ordered promptly and were very polite (I work in the service industry so I know how hard the job can be). Our service was taken over by a second waitress who was pleasant but similarly distant although not actually rude like the first. At the end of the meal I saw that you went to the counter to pay and queued very patiently and once the couple in front had paid, I waited until the waitress we had had initially looked up. She snarled "what do you want?" At me so I simply asked if I could pay. She rolled her eyes and said something under her breath so I pointed at our table and just said "oh we were over there" but she curled her lip, waved her hands at me and said nastily "just tell me what you had just tell me uggghhh" (honestly she had written it down and I don't know why she wouldn't ring it through properly). So I told her the items which she rang up and I presented my card. When I went to.place it on the contact less panel, I obviously didn't do it with the speed she thought I should (I have no idea what she was thinking really it was such a strange interaction) so she *grabbed quickly at my hand*, tried to take my card and when I gasped in shock she GRABBED MY HAND AND FORCED IT ONTO THE MACHINE. I wish I was making this up but she was *completely weird* with me and could not have been more insulting. She then turned away, after manhandling me and went to make a cup of coffee, leaving me to print my own receipt and not even turning her head to pay any final courtesies that might be normal to a customer. As it was our first visit there it's not like she could have had any reason to dislike me but there we are, I think she may have been having a bad day but I suggest that unless you are a regular, think twice about going there. I left feeling pretty upset and shaken. My 'nice treat' had been really spoiled and I had even paid well for the privilege of been throughly insulted for 45 minutes. You might strike it lucky and we really enjoyed our food and had been planning on returning but we would not return under ANY circumstances now as she was completely bizarre and upsetting. I guess go at your own risk would be my advice!

This is the best caffe in Hinckley ,in first place is table service from very friendly staff,food is always fresh,cakes and coffee just a great Highly recommended!!!

We waited 10 minutes for coffee, it wasn't busy. After more than half an hour of waiting for a baguette and pizza, I went to ask, we were 2nd in line for 3 orders, the waitress was not nice and instead of a word of explanation, she commented that it's not fast food. Ordered food was no difficult and time consuming job. Paid for coffee and thank you. I will not come back.

Sovrano's, oh, what a tragic comedy of culinary errors! I had the dubious pleasure of visiting this Italian cafe, and let me regale you with the tale of disappointment that unfolded. Prepare yourself for a carbonara catastrophe, my dear friends. The overcooked pasta, drowning in a sauce that seemed suspiciously like a tin of Aldi's cheapest chicken soup, topped with diced ham and pancetta that would make an Italian nonna faint. It was a dish that could send shivers down the spine of any self-respecting foodie. But let's not forget the humus, or should I say the humu-not-so-much. Straight out of a dreary supermarket tub, it lacked the pizzazz and flavour that homemade humus brings. It's as if they missed the memo that blending a few tins of chickpeas takes mere minutes. Oh, Sovrano's, you're not doing justice to the gastronomic wonders of humus. So, my dear readers, take heed of this cautionary tale. If you value your taste buds, steer clear of Sovrano's and seek refuge in an establishment where quality ingredients and skilled hands create edible masterpieces. Spare yourself the heartache and embark on a culinary adventure that will leave your palate dancing with delight. I'm not sure where you will find that in Hinckley but your taste buds deserve nothing less.

Unfortunately awful. The decor was lovely and it was a great atmosphere when we first entered, from there it went down hill. Staff were clearly speaking and cursing in Italian about other customers behind the desk, as well as pulling faces and rolling eyes. Real bad attitudes. When we got the food it was really with a lack of care. Some food on the plate, the other microwaved parts were freezing cold. When observing the cooking in the kitchen, there was a clear lack of hygiene and cross contamination between raw and cooked meat. When paying, no thank you or any manners were given overall. Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Complete rudeness from staff and lack of care. Sad to say as it’s a very cute little cafe set up. EDIT: Thank you for responding. It’s sad to see you have accused me of this instead of responding to customers professionally. Your response to this review only proves my originally review in that you are rude and lack the ability to respond to criticism. It was meant with no malice and only to provide an accurate representation from what I witnessed. I do not and have never owned a cafe in my life. I have a receipt of purchase and would be more than happy to come and visit you face to face to prove this. This is the first review I’ve written due to just how poor the service was. There are many cafes around Hinckley with an excellent level of service and unfortunately your staff are incredibly rude and unprofessional. If I thought the same of the other cafes , I would be reviewing in the same fashion. As you’ve took the liberty to report this review, I will be reporting this cafe to the council for hygiene practices. I hoped that the review would make you reconsider, but as you’ve responded rudely just like your other members of staff, it leaves me no option. The food was delicious especially the Nutella and banana crepes and the hot chocolate was amazing.

My favourite café ever. Love coming here. The staff are so friendly and attentive. The food is always incredible! I have tried everything from bruschetta, to pizza, to wraps, to cake (which is my favourite)! Always 10/10 every time. There is also such a cosy and relaxing atmosphere. A great place to come and finish my work if I need to get out and about. Always rave about this place to everyone!

We were very disappointed with our visit today. I have visited the Nuneaton branch and had great food and service, the Hinckley branch was a million miles away. Firstly the service was very poor and whilst we were able to order drinks quickly it took a long time for anyone to take our food order. During this time, one lady was working behind the counter, one lady was standing at the end of the bar chatting to staff and doing nothing, whilst the lady serving was very slow at doing anything. We also felt that customers who appeared to be regulars were served before us. When the food arrived my mega breakfast was very poor. The eggs were overcooked with crispy edges and the yolks overcooked with one being broken. The tomatoes had not been drained properly and therefore had the watery juice soaking into the bean juice. The toast was very thin bread that looked like it had been toasted on a griddle and had butter on some parts but not all of it. The bacon appeared very salty too. The burger meal had a burger bun that was burnt on the bottom and again with salty bacon. I absolutely love this little independent cafe in Hinckley, it’s such a nice place to go for a coffee. We haven’t been for food yet but I’ve heard very good things about it. The venue looks beautiful and I particularly like the cosy little room in the back where you feel like you are in your own little world. There is even outside seating for when it’s warm and sunny. It was a godsend during the Soap Box Derby in the summer, you can avoid the crowds but still see what’s going on. The coffee is superb and the little almond biscuits were so nice we bought a pack to take home. Excellent cafe, highly recommended.

The food and service was very good. Also it was a very varied choice of menu and reasonable priced.

Popped in for a coffee and was not too impressed. There is very little privacy as the tables are so close together and found people listening to conversations. There was an absence of any personality amongst the staff including the person who appeared to be the Manager. I'm afraid it will not be on my revisit list.

Great place to eat, drink, and meet friends. Good coffee and food. Staff very friendly and helpful. If busy you may have to wait a little for service or food but well worth the wait.

Awful waiting times, even when there wasnt that many customers. Waited 40 minutes for a microwaved pasta meal, salad looked nice! Water taste like it had been sat there since the day before and service wasnt great. Trying to pay for our meals at the end and we were waiting a good 10 minutes stood at the end of the desk. Wont be going again.

Come for our Saturday morning breakfast and it was excellent! Portion good, presentation good, nice atmosphere. Recommended!

One of my favourite places to get a coffee and breakfast

Discovered by accident and such a good discovery it was! Giant breakfasts for £8.95 delicious Italian coffee cracking service and surroundings well done guys we will be back! Bare in mind it’s £13.50 in Tarro lounge for a similar breakfast and similar quality so go here for a cracking all around experience!

We were in the town and decided to go here for something to drink and eat. The weather was good so we decided to sit outside which there was one table free. We ordered drinks which I ordered a Cappuccino which wasn't the best it was quite weak which was a shame. I had the meatball pizza which was really nice and would have it again (had it a few times previously but seems to be getting smaller in size), and the person I was with had the carbonara pasta which wasn't the best, the smell from the cheese was quite strong and a bit off putting. Overall the staff seemed friendly. The food was ok. The place does get busy so getting a seat either inside or outside can be an issue. Nice place for something to eat

Soprano cafe has a small Italian based menu that has a good range of choices with a small kids menu available. The food is always well presented and hot. Seating is in places a little cramped, outside seating is also available. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. This is a cafe I have returned to a number of times and will return to again.

I purchased a Groupon voucher to spend up to £50 on food and drink for £25. What great value for the money, the staff were friendly, polite and attentive We had 2 starters, and tbf they were filling. Then we had burgers for mains and they were excellent and finished with coffees Would definitely go back another time
