We had a lovely meal here with friends never been before so dint know what to expect but the food was delicious love all the smaller dishes so you can try a few different tastes, tiramisu was lovely as a desert would return here and try some different dishes

No complaints at all. Food was tasty and hot. Bathrooms were clean. Service was great. 👍🏼

Can't fault the atmosphere, service or food absolutely wonderful, I personally had the three choices ( mine was vegan) absolutely enjoyed every bit of it, would highly recommended to family and friends.. Friends that I dined with had none vegan options and throughly enjoyed their food too..

Pestos has always been one of our favourites, but some how the menu has changed. Once favourites have now been shelved, presumably because of cost. Almost everything is now vegetarian / pescatarian.

An Italian restaurant with casual and/or fine dining vibes but affordable price, good foods, good vibes, perfect for lunch or dinner with your favorite people. 100% Italian menu both foods and drinks. Excellent service. Drink price a little bit dearer than the foods but it's all worthy. Portion of the foods are rather small-ish but you get many choices (tapas style). They do afternoon tea and alcohol drinks with a lovely vibes. Definitely worth to try and coming back! ❤️

It appears that the place was short staffed as you were constantly looking draw attention to get service. Most food arrived but no explanation of when to expect the rest of the order.

Four of us had lunch, and the food and service were excellent. We will definitely be going there again .

I can't believe I've never stopped by here! It was perfect. Really good Italian food in tapas style! Such a great idea. The pink lemonade is stunning, with real fruit too. This is what we ordered, 12 dishes between 4 of us. Everything was carb based except for 3 of them. A balance is good to avoid a food coma, if that doesn't work, the desserts afterwards were yummy too, the lemon one didn't sound that great but we were proven wrong very quickly. Tasted fab. Probably our 6/7th visit and exquisite as always. The menu is huge and the smaller portion sizes mean you can sample so many dishes - each one is absolutely lovely (our favourite being the Bruschetta Funghi). The atmosphere is great as is the service and you’ll always be surprised by the bill as it’s very reasonable for the quality of food. The staff are extremely nice except the one occasion we were rudely told we had 5 minutes to leave the table as another party was waiting - around 15 seconds after paying the bill! Other than that small incident, a firm favourite of ours.

Fab food choices and lovely service.

Went to Pesto last night. Very popular restaurant. Had to wait about 10-15 minutes to be served drinks. Food overall was lovely however one of the dishes had a long hair strand in it and some of our plates were not clean underneath. Also our menu card was dirty. The waiters are mainly very young people and you can tell they work so hard. We made sure to tip them well. Overall good but with a few hygiene issues.

3 of us went for lunch yesterday for my daughter’s birthday. Last night 2 of us were really poorly with tummy cramps and diarrhoea. After talking this morning we realised that only the 2 off us eat the same pulled beef balls and they were not hot at all. I has said when I eat it that it was cold in the middle but never gave it a thought at the time as this was my first visit. Very disappointed and feel very poorly

This is a very popular spot just off the A47 towards Desford. Old pub that turned into an Italian restaurant quite a while ago. Huge car park which is needed. Very big dining rooms with loads of space. My server Jennifer was amazing, and all the staff seemed very well trained. Thanks Jennifer. This is a spotlessly clean restaurant. Food wise it is very good indeed in terms if value and quality I must say. Essentially think Italian tapas and you are near the mark. Different menus so you can choose between set menus or pick from the wider choices. Small pizza and plates of pasta. All the other salads and other Italian favourites here. Good range of options for vegans and vegetarians. Quality of food was good and all was very tasty and fresh which is important. This is very much pub Italian as much as a restaurant so liked that atmosphere. A good place for a hearty dinner and a good atmosphere. Booking is wise I would say and the online system worked very well. Food was a 4.5 stars for sure - just went for 4 as a little more touch here and there would probably be what some diners might feel. Thanks very much.

People of colour please avoid. I made a booking for my daughters birthday only to find that on the day I would've been turned away if I hadn't had stood my ground. They denied I had ever rung, I had to go on my call log to prove this. After alot of deliberation Amy ( whom I believe to be the manager) & Leanne reluctantly gave us a horrible table right by the front door & every time someone opened the door the draught came in. I found Amy & Leanne to be very unwelcoming, rude & racist. Other than that the other staff members were lovely & the food was amazing.

We love this restaurant. The food is consistently delicious and excellent value. The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable and are able to answer any questions. Lois is particularly charming.

Bit disappointed in the food quality. No going again as there are better places to go.

Having driven past this one day and read the good reviews me and my partner were really looking forward to trying this. Unfortunately the food was a massive disappointment! I got calamari and salmon with asparagus pasta and my partner got a pasta dish with a chicken dish and we shared a potato dish. The calamari tasted like it had been fried multiple times so tasted more of batter than anything else. The potato’s also tasted as though they’d been recooked. The pasta dishes were bland lacked flavour and did not contain any fresh herbs. Unfortunately we won’t be returning. The price of the dishes were reasonable but would have happily paid more to get better quality food.

Bustling bar/restaurant with a huge choice of dishes. Great variety for everyone, including fussy eaters. Some of the dishes are a little hit and miss, but overall the quality of the food is good here.

Selection of Tapas very good particulary the seafood choices. The beef stew and prawns with scallops had great flavours and ideal to dip the bread into.

Food was amazing & children are well catered for. The restaurant was full & there didn't seem to be enough staff to serve us, we had to ask for drinks, the waiting staff were excellent once we got served though. The noise from everyone talking was overbearing so if you want a quiet, intimate meal this is not the place to go if it's full, we were shouting to be heard 🙆. Parking also seems to be an issue even with the overflow carpark, I arrived just before the booking time but had to wait over 10 minutes for a parking space, along with half a dozen other cars.

A lovely place. Quiet, convivial, pristine clean and tidy. Courteous and helpful staff. Delicious food, with an excellent selection to suit all tastes. I look forward to visiting again.

A nice spot for lunch. Choose wisely to feel full

This is one of my favourite places to eat. The menu is huge and can be overwhelming. It would be useful to add things like wedges/chips salad things to go with others. Else you end up with 3 random plates and nothing to bring them together.

Great selection of dishes all served quickly and piping hot ,we ordered an array of starters and main to share all came out correctly as ordered. Great service from an experienced pleasant waitress.who provided extras and more drinks promptly.

This is a regular meeting place for me and a friend - we both live quite a distance from each other and this is a halfway point . The manager is really accommodating at making me my favourite cocktail which is usually only on the summer menu . The cocktail is a Raspberry Mojito . I highly recommend it . I always have found we have received a great service by the staff & the foods always been lovely . At times I do end up taking some arancini balls home for the next day and forgetting that they are in my handbag . Would highly recommend.

Having been told how good this restaurant was, we had to try it; and we had a fabulous evening. We had a selection of tapas and enjoyed them all. We will definitely return. Thank you. PS. Came for a work meal, staff seemed friendly and attentive, also not too cramped in which is a bonus. Food for the most part was great, although the calamari was soggy.

Food was Ok, it was a bit warm and noisy inside the restaurant. We will return on a less busy night. The service was really good.

Hi we came In for food me and my friend the food was nice but the service was bad there not very friendly the staff the person that showed us to our table was nice but my friend tried to get a waiter’s attention and waved over and they completely ignored her and went back to chatting but they all saw her wave on the way out we said thanks and was greeted with being ignored that’s why we didn’t leave a tip one of the guys just put the dishes on the table and then looked at the finished one and couldn’t be bothered to take them. I’ve worked in hospitality and know that people should feel welcomed but it was very ignorant

Very disappointed. I went with 2 friends all the food was luke warm at best it didn't all come out together waiting 10 mins for the rest. Had 2 lots of bruchetta which were soggy so sent them back returned with more but not much better...here's a tip don't have the bruchetta with ricotta on as this was probably why soggy. The service was appalling the waitress seemed really put out that we had even dared to complain and so our card was marked all night then she was grumpy as was the lad who brought some of our dishes out he almost threw the dishes at us. The staff were untidy in their dress not a very good effort was made to look reasonably smart or tidy Very disappointed will be a long time if I return

Excellent Italian tapas. Fresh and tasty dishes. Especially enjoy the arancini and meatballs, delicious. Friendly and professional service. Clean and comfortable dining. Highly reccomend.

Very good food and good portion sizes

Really good value for money, big portions for tapas. Really loved the pesto, chicken pasta and the prawn linguine. Everyone enjoyed their food. This was my third time coming to this restaurant and will be back. The menu is so big there’s so much to try.

Only reason I'm leaving a review is to highlight one server in particular. We were in for a meal, 8 of us in fact, so we ordered a lot of food. Struggling to remember names of dishes is one thing, but considering the dishes had fairly unique names, you'd be sure it would click. When we were served, the floor staff member dished out the food, sliding it on the table like he was a dealer in a casino. I work in hospitality, so I know it can be hard sometimes, but the guy changed the names of dishes (still not sure if we got all of ours) and said it with such an attitude, and then left without another word. Food is a shrug, atmosphere was fine, the service was okay, but this one gent really got the mood of the table to dip in the 30 seconds he was there.

Best Italian Tapas Restaurant with lots of varieties for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Customer service is excellent with food coming out very quickly. Great family atmosphere, with onsite parking. Reasonably priced. Attentive service provided by Shauna.

I took my better half to Pesto for lunch and was extremely disappointed with the food quality. I used to attend frequently about 2 years ago, but the quality appears to have gone downhill. We had 7 dishes and in two of the prawn dishes (Linguine & battered prawns) the prawns were clearly frozen prawns and were hard and chewy. Equally, the calamari was tasteless and chewy. We enjoyed each others company, but both my partner and I agreed that we wouldn’t be returning.

We enjoyed our meal good choice across the set menus which I mixed & matched, good food & a trio of desserts for me tiramisu were delicious, would return

boy oh boy, if it wasn’t for the food, this restaurant would be getting 0 stars from me. racist staff, unwelcoming atmosphere and terrible service! i had made a booking over the phone for my birthday meal but upon arrival at the restaurant, the staff (amy & leanne) could not seem to find my booking. they were both very cold, unfriendly and unhelpful. i was told i had either not made the booking or had made it at another branch. i showed them my call log to prove i had called the restaurant, and indeed this particular branch, to which we were told to wait to be seated. they reluctantly seated us, but placed us on a table right by the front door (not in the heart of the restaurant where we wanted to enjoy the vibes and atmosphere). with the door constantly opening and closing, we were cold throughout our visit. despite our waitress (tatiana) being lovely, it was deeply upsetting to know that one of the managers (amy) was rude and racist and i say this because being the only ASIANS in the restaurant, we were mistreated and ignored. we noticed that other customers were greeted with a warm smile and laugh and were asked about allergens etc. the staff here made us feel like a burden and that they had to accommodate for us, when in fact we had made a booking and provided proof of this. the food was very pleasant and would be the only reason we would return, if at all.

Tried this place for the 1st time. Nice place, good atmosphere, but food wasn't fresh, probably all cooked from frozen. Food was served very quickly. I didn't even get a chance to get a pint down me before it all came. It's probably not a bad thing if you're hungry.

Arrived on Sunday afternoon. We have asked for a table of 4 ( we had no booking) and was said that there is no table available, even if I mentioned to the lady which I suppose was the manager that we just eat quick and go, she confirmed that no tables are available. We went in the car park, spend literally 5 minutes, it was 13:40, opened their website at booked a table for 2 o’clock. Coming back in at 13:50 we were meet by someone else, we had a booking now and we got a table. We have been to this place before and the food is really tasty and we did enjoyed everything, however this time we had a bit of a disappointment from the management.

Food is excellent, with larger portion sizes than expected. Will definitely return.

Have been wanting to eat here for ages and it absolutely lived up to our high expectations on our first visit in March. Amazing food - very tasty, expertly cooked and the small plates mean we did not have too many difficulties in choosing what to have as we could try several !! Service was great and the team managed being busy very well. Will definitely be back !

We had a lovely meal here with friends... There is a great selection available for vegetarians too. I had some small tapas style dishes so I got to try a variety of dishes.... our table was fit to burst!

The place is nice enough and the service was very good, however I found the food a little below average. It's not imaginative nor especially well cooked or flavoured. nothing special.

Last night was our first visit to Pesto. We had been recommended by friends who had raved about it and so we were really excited to go. Unfortunately we were quite disappointed- the food was not authentic to Italy and seemed poorly made. We ordered a creamy salmon pasta but the sauce seemed to have been watered down and just sat at the bottom of the dish. We also ordered their new cheesy dough balls that were fried but these were really chewy and dry. Overall the food was just not what we expected. The staff were nice and attentive but seemed to regularly get confused on what we had ordered or whether we had received dishes or drinks.

Nice place and easy to reach from M1, family atmosphere and great service, menu is holding loads of varieties, which made us order different selections of the menu. Food quality is great and the staff were really nice and friendly. Happy to recommend this place to family and friends around Leicester.

Have always enjoyed our visits here

First time here. Pesto was recommended by family so we all decided to give it a try. We couldn't fault it at all. The place looked very nice, with a good atmosphere. The service was superb. The food was awesome, we ordered quite alot of dishes and everyone was delicious. Definitely adding pesto to our small list of go to places to eat. We can see this place being great in the summer too with the outdoor seating etc.

A group of 5 went for a celebration meal. The menu is rather large but that is ok because you're ordering on average 3-4 plates each. The tastes and flavours were amazing. The kids were kept busy with colouring and crayons. And the decor was beautiful. The staff were friendly and very attentive. We will definitely be returning.

Great time spent with friends. It's always great to have some Italian cuisine where you can enjoy food.
