My husband and I absolutely love this place. The selection in the menu is amazing, though we are somewhat partial to the steak and the mussels - always cooked to perfection! The staff are so friendly, it's like our home from home.

My partner and I ate here on Friday, we both had moules as a starter and i was disappointed with the lack of sauce and the over done bread which was served. He had one which tasted very fishy which then put him off eating the rest! For mains i ordered the lamb ragu, this was literally pasta and pulled lamb with very little seasoning. He had chicken in a wine and mushroom sauce which again was tasteless and we had to ask for more sauce. I did speak to the manager and he apologised. For me i heard good things about this place but sorry it wasnt for me

I thought we would give the restaurant a try as our normal Italian was fully booked and the experience didn't start off the best with them being over book and we got stuck on a small table between the entrance and the stairs. That's the negatives out the way as I'm sure it's not always like that and we went on a really busy evening. The staff were really friendly and the food was really well presented. The food was really nice and would go back again but would probably call ahead to prevent getting the same table again. Definitely worth a try if in the area and I. The mood for some nice Italian food.

A warm welcome, a great choice of freshly prepared food, friendly, knowledgeable staff, a lava rock cooked fillet steak with Chianti red wine, all delivered by service with a smile. A great place to spend a few hours. Definitely back very soon. Paul

I can't understand the high star rating. The service staff is very slow but friendly and everything takes a long time. It took almost 50 minutes from ordering to receiving the main course. The food was average at best. The noodles in the spaghetti carbonara were barely cooked. All dishes tasted OK. Understanding of cooking and love for this profession are missing here. Maybe the standard is OK for an English person, but not for the rest of Europe.

Such authentic food! The owner took great pride in the quality of the food, condiments and drinks and his love was truly felt throughout our evening. Really looking forward to bringing the family and checking out the new menu with some more vegetarian options :). Love to you all and thank you for a memorable evening once again.

Booked a surprise meal for my Husband's 40th birthday, and was given the private area upstairs for my large party of 26 people. We had access to our own bar and we had our own music by connecting Bluetooth to their sound system. The whole event was made very special and, Mike and the staff really looked after us. The food was absolutely amazing, especially the desserts. Would highly recommend it if you want a large gathering for a special occasion.

Fantastic experience steaks come out on a hot stone cook it yourself, nice atmosphere lovely service and the host is warm and welcoming. Will definitely be coming back.

Although I live in the area, I'd never been here before and decided to take my parents for their anniversary, as we all like Italian food. Everything was great - the food, the service and the atmosphere was really excellent and my mum and dad loved it. Would recommend it to anyone.

We booked this place based on the photos on Google. Food was amazing, proper Italian authentic dishes. It tasted homemade because it was freshly made. 😋 We will definitely come back here.

Arrived at 19:30 but didn't get starters until 20:20. Even the drinks took 20 minutes. Very poor service (despite the obligatory 10% service charge!!) Food was ok. Staff polite. Very disappointed and wouldn't go back.

Food and hospitality great as always

Nice place, but badly let down by a couple of things. My brie starter came with bread on the menu, but the bread didn't arrive. Not a problem, I just asked the waitress if she could please bring it and she said "did you order any?" I advised it came with bread on the menu so she went off, only to come back and tell me it did not!? (I can read, it definitely did. My friend had to confirm it to the waitress, it was all very bizarre and slightly pathetic, it was just bread!!!) Eventually, having had argue with her whilst my starter went cold she finally returned with two pathetically thin slices of bog standard baguette. Our mains were VERY nice (lobster ravioli and wild boar ragout) but again let down by penny pinching things. My friend ordered a side of garlic ciabatta and it was again a couple of tiny slices of shop bought baguette and a total rip off. My side salad was also incredibly stingy and cost over a fiver. Bread and salad has the biggest profit margin of any items in a restaurant so to be absurdly mean with either makes absolutely no sense! Also debating your customers over what's on your menu ( and being WRONG) whilst their food goes cold is just really poor. At £20+ a main course in Hinckley I sadly won't be returning, no problem paying that but I think it's fair to expect more from the experience than being irritated over totally avoidable nonsense.

Went there for a dinner with friends. Very cozy atmosphere. The staff and service was very good. The menu is Italian. There are not many vegetarian options. We tried the pasta carbonara and pene arabiatta. The deserts were amazing. Would recommend this place for Italian food if you are In Hinckley

Lovely authentic Italian restaurant with a authentic food cooked to order, or you can offer book what you want and arrive to your appetizers being ready. I can't say how good the food was it was out of this world and the staff were very attentive, also they will alter meals to your taste, one of the pasta meals was made fast too spicy but they remade it really quickly, very impressed

Went as a last minute booking to Inferno, having never been before. Was worried on entering as there were two parties going on, and plenty of people around. When seated very quickly, away from the parties, we were looked after by several attentive waiters and waitresses. The food was exceptional, service out of this world and surprisingly quickly, due to it being so busy. Full marks to all of the staff serving, also bar staff and especially the chef (s) in the kitchen delivering such a top, also very tasty selection of food! Thank you "TEAM INFERNO" have a very merry festive period.

We went for anniversary celebration there were 9 of us service was fantastic and couldn't fault the food carnt wait to go back .

Food was lovely, staff where all happy and friendly, just feel it was a little too pricey for the quality.

We went for a meal here after seeing it had Italian, the food we got was lovely and I think we went on a prosecco night which was nice. The food was surprisingly good, really enjoyed it actually, it was really quiet in there which to be honest we expected as we eat super early compared to most. The only thing I would say is that the manager/staff were online shopping and on their phones at the bar and considering it was quiet we had to stand up to get their attention for the bill. Overall it was a good experience and we would return.

Myself & my partner went for a wonderful meal at Inferno on Saturday October 7th 2023 for a pre theatre celebration, we’d been previously in 2019 & so made a point of going back , absolutely can’t fault the restaurant, the staff are so attentive, the Lady owner made a point of chatting with us & my God the food is delicious, i have no idea how they cook food like that

So glad to have found this place on a special occasion, which was my wife's birthday. What an amazing discovery of this Italian restaurant. The staff were all friendly - I think the floor manager who kept looking out for us could be the owner and she was accommodative and in fact told us in advance that we can order child portion of the main menu. For starters we had mussels in spicy sauce - I have had mussels with distinctive smell but these mussels were cooked nicely where it doesnt have the strong mussels smell. We also had different italian bread with aioli and scallops, all of which we enjoyed. For mains, my son and I had ravioli, i had one made with lobster bisque and again it was amazing. the family ended up having mine! My wife had spiedini di pesce, she felt would have been nice if it had sauce rather than dry. And desert was a class. Both my kids had raspberry pavlovla and mango & passion ice cream cheesecake and boy both tasted yum!!! The staff brought the birthday cake for my wife and sang together which ended the night nicely. Highly recommend this place for the coziness, hospitality and quality of food.

We recently visited Inferno for my daughter’s birthday. The staff were very accommodating to their food choices and were even able to make food for them which wasn’t on the menu. The food itself was amazing and well thoroughly enjoyed it. The waitresses were very attentive as was the manager. We had a fantastic night and will definitely be visiting again.

First time visiting Inferno Restaurant for my friends wedding anniversary. The overall experience was amazing,from food to atmosphere and the members of staff. Is the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to and I can’t wait to come more in the future and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to try a proper Italian food! Keep it up, you are doing great!

The standard of Hinckley restaurants continues to amaze! The level of restaurants continues to be very disappointing. 1 starter and 1 main not coming as described in the menu, apologies that the menu needs changing. Then print more! The cherry on the cake was the request for mayonnaise and a Aldi squeeze BOOTLE was deposited on our table. Having gone out for a nice couples meal. This is very disappointing. Unfortunately this seems to be the higher end of Hinckley’s eating establishments.

My husband and I had a very nice meal here. We were sat upstairs as we booked quite last minute. Food was very good, not your average Italian menu which made a nice change. Service was good and staff were attentive. Food portions were good and we even managed to squeeze in a pudding to share which was a lovely end to our meal.

Treated the other half to a nice meal here, and we were both very impressed. The food was spot on and the service was perfect. Steak on a lva stone was a first for me, and it was lovely. We didn't wait long at all for our food and thoroughly enjoyed it here. The owner was lovely and very chatty which made us feel welcome, will definitely be coming here again soon

Returned again this week for another celebratory dinner á deux & the food was every bit as delicious as our first visit. Hubby chose the fillet steak on a lava rock again as he can't resist that & I opted for the Lasagne which was the best I've ever tasted in a restaurant, though on top of my delicious creamy mushroom starter it was too much to handle & the remainder came home with me as a takeout. The service was once again excellent; friendly, efficient & leaves us with the feeling that they really want you to come back. It's pricey, yes, but so so worth it for a special occasion so don't miss out on this place!

It has been a while since we last visited this restaurant, as it is quite an expensive evening, if you go for 3 courses and a bottle of red, so it is somewhere that we generally visit for a special occasion. Everything that we ordered was beautifully cooked, and the lobster ravioli was absolutely superb. The two starters that we ordered were baked goats, cheese, and calamari. I was slightly disappointed by the size of the goats cheese. If I'm honest and personally the next size up, would I feel offer better value for money. That being said, it was very nice. The calamari, whilst nicely cooked, was not presented as individual pieces. It came as one large joined up, battered rings, rather than individual rings. Presentation, therefore, slightly let this dish down. The mains, lobster ravioli, were perfect in all respects. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Serving staff were also knowledgeable about the dishes on the menu. Service towards the end just dipped a little, as we had to go to the bar and ask for the bill, as we had waited a little too long with our empty dessert plates in front of us. Overall, though, it was a great visit, and we'll definitely certainly return again.

I remember my last visit wonderfully, it was July 2022. Unfortunately, what I found today scared me. The menu is deficient, when ordering food the waitress was surprised, as if she did not know what was being sold. I ordered a sour whiskey - the bartender had to check on the Internet how to make it ... unfortunately he checked something wrong because my cocktail was sparkling and he shouldn't have. The proprietor, instead of watching what is happening in the restaurant, prefers to talk to her friends. Flavorless and tasteless food. You can see that the changes were only for the worse. I waited 15 minutes for the bill, then another 15 for the terminal, because something was wrong. Our last visit

Average food at best. Terrible service, they look like owner pulled some kids out of school, they’ve got absolutely no idea what they’re doing. We’ve waited 15 minutes to get a bill to be informed that owner needs to get terminal from somewhere which took additional 10 minues. I don’t know what happened, been here a year ago and it was great.

We have had the pleasure of dining at Inferno several times now, and it is always a magical experience. The food is top notch and they offer a wide range of beverages to suit all tastes. They also do excellent cocktails. We have had the steak twice now, it comes served on a hot plate and you are able to cook it yourself on the table, this is a great and novel idea and I would highly recommend it, especially when paired with their wonderful peppercorn sauce. The staff are uniformly brilliant, the owner Leanne is such a lovely person and she always takes the time to come and chat with us and make us feel like proper VIP’s. Then there is Ewan, he has served us several times and he is always wonderful. So helpful and friendly with an excellent knowledge of the menu, he also makes sure to take the time to come and have a chat whenever we visit. In fact the entire staff team are great, and they put up with me when I encouraged them all to wear my new jacket. Treat yourself to a meal at Inferno, you won’t regret it!

Booked for a nice meal with my fiance as was recommended to us by a friend. Nice restaurant and good atmosphere. Service not brilliant got seated to our table and given menus then the waiter walked off didn't get asked for drinks order . Eventually came back went through the specials then took drink order . My fiance ordered a starter and I opted for a selection of bread with olive oil . My fiancé's starter came out and it looked and tasted amazing . He had finished his starter and there was still no sign of the bread selection I had ordered we had to ask them in the end they were apologetic and fetched it straight away . I was really disappointed with my main dish , my fiance went for the salmon from the specials as he was disappointed they did not do pizza he really enjoyed his meal , I went for a pasta dish , well it is an Italian after all . I had the wild boar ravioli with ragu and mushrooms I was disappointed as soon as they brought it out no presentation whatsoever. Around 5 pieces of ravioli with a beefy ragu sauce on top in a dish no mushrooms , no parmisan, no garnish it even tasted bland I asked the waiter for some parmisan hoping it would taste a little better really didn't enjoy it and wasn't impressed £19.95 for a dish of ravioli you would expect more . Maybe I just ordered the wrong dish as I said my fiance really enjoyed his salmon . Considering they are an Italian though you would expect the pasta meals to be better . Lovely restaurant but we won't be returning .

It is so lovely to be able to support an independent Italian restaurant. We visited last night and the experience from start to finish was perfection. Two for one cocktails until 7pm (from memory) was a nice surprise and the Kir Royale was top notch. We had the Mussels and breaded brie to start (both delicious) and then the Salmon Parpadelle and a slightly customised Nduja pasta dish - spicy, rich and thick with pancetta lardons. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Fabulous food, good service. Had an amazing gnocchi, lots of cheese, lots of garlic. Devine little pillows of bliss.... Then the panecotta was amazing. Wasn't going to have a desert but tasted my partner's and had to have one to myself. Definitely worth a visit

Gone down hill with the new chef! Loved this place but last nights food wasn’t great. Had to send my calamari back. It was so over cooked I could barely cut it let alone chew it. The garlic aoli was just sour cream not a hint of garlic. The monkfish on the skewers was missing the Parma ham. My friends Brie was cold and hard in the middle (was deep fried) Mains came out while we were still eating our starters! My friends main was served while we ate our starters. Right hand didn’t know what the left hand was doing. When replacing our starters we were told we wouldn’t be charged for them, but we were. We did get a free espresso martini each but nothing off the bill which I thought was poor given the issues to charge full price!! Probably won’t go back. It’s a shame because it was good having a decent restaurant in hinckley but they need a better chef and owners need to communicate what they are offering! Plus side waiting staff were lovely

We’ve visited this restaurant quite a few times now and we have never been disappointed . We have always found the staff very friendly . The young lad who served us this visit was especially helpful nothing was too much trouble. To eat we had the lasagne and seafood pasta . I can’t remember the name of the dish, but you could tell it was cooked from scratch with fresh ingredients . Makes a nice change from our usual pizza. Can’t wait for our next visit

What an amazing little place! We went for a small girls dinner with a birthday and they everything they could to make the night special. The servers were so friendly and the chef even came out to sing happy birthday! Such a gem of a restaurant and the food was DELICIOUS!!!

Disappointed. Customer service greatly lacking. Took our daughter here for her 19th birthday. Service was so rushed we were in and out in less than an hour on 2 course meal and a £90 bill. Not really a memorable birthday outing. The main was handed to us as starters just finished. My daughter also found something sharp in her meal and we were told not to worry it was a stem, no real concern or apology. Also a few things were not available in menu like lasagne but we weren't told when given menus only 15 mins later when we ordered. Even when paying the bill we were asked if everything wasalright, so aired our opinion as above but just got an OK. I'd look at using one of the restaurants in the crescent rather than going here again.

We visited Inferno last night after my fiancé Claire got a recommendation from their lovely manager Leanne while she was getting her nails done a few weeks ago, as it turns out it was a thoroughly valid recommendation. We have previously stopped into Inferno for drinks as their cocktails, particularly their Expresso Martinis are excellent but we have never been for dinner before, luckily we rectified this mistake. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and has a warm and cosy feeling and looks like somewhere that you would want to go for a special occasion and some fine dining. We both went for the same starter, the Caprino Al Forno, oven baked goats cheese with caramelised apples, blueberries and a plum sauce to die for. It was exquisite and had a generous serving size however it was also surprisingly light for a cheese starter, which left a nice amount of room for the mains. We both went for gnocchi, I had the meat version and my fiancé had the vegetarian one, they were both excellent, some of the nicest gnocchi we have ever had in an Italian restaurant, everything was cooked to perfection. Unfortunately we were far too full to try any of the desserts but they all sounded lovely, hopefully on another occasion. We also saw people being served the steak and the calamari which also looked very nice, so we may have to try those on our next visit. I can’t remember what the white wine we were drinking was called but it was very nice, fruity and light and went down far too well and was reasonably priced for a restaurant. Now to the staff, we had lots of interactions with them and everyone was uniformly exceptional. We were initially served by the lovely Jolie who took our order and went through the menu with us, we had a nice chat with her and she made us feel welcome and at ease, proper first class service. We were also served by Ewan, he took some of our drinks orders and served us some food, apparently he had only just started working there but you would never know that he was new as his service was without fault, polite, friendly and knowledgeable, exactly what you want from restaurant staff. Then at the end we were given the VIP treatment from the amazing Ali, she helped us settle our bill and even carried our wine glasses to the more informal seating area at the front of the restaurant and had a nice chat with us. This was some some of the best service that we have experienced in a restaurant, all the staff seemed genuinely happy to be working there, this level of service means we’re are certainly going to be visiting again soon and we know that we will be in safe hands with the brilliant team at Inferno. In summary, this restaurant is of the highest quality, the food and drinks are exceptional and their staff are a delight to interact with, highly recommended.

Wanted to go here for ages we both had lasagne which was nice. I am fussy about lasagne prefer my own (had them in other Italians before but this was definitely the best one ive had out) but this was tasty and came in a crock pot so red hot. Chips were lovely. Surprised they had other wines other than Italian as I like a sweet californian so that was a bonus. Like other local italians no atmosphere was a quite night I guess (tues). Waitress was lovely and another person kept checking on us too so a bit ott. I would definitely like to try some more of the menu and return at another time.
