Papa John's Pizza in Hinckley and Bosworth

Edited 27/09/24 Gave them another shot seems to be better than before lets see how it goes. Food is good if not cold or semi lost even with visible lights for delivery, so we just collect nowadays, but last nights was poor and few previous times have been just ok which prompts this review. The app and website tracker prompt kept saying order received, we waited just in case was busy, rang 30 mins after initial order to be told food was ready 10/15 mins ago. Poor from store and Papa johns too. Never again. They take your phone number and email nothing was used. Food was wasted. This store and Papa johns as a whole has been going down the .......

Didn’t receive delivery of pizza want a full refund, restaurant said they couldn’t deliver it in case it was eaten by cats

Papa Johns has the best pizza and is way better than Pizza Hut and Domino

Absolute con. Definitely scammers! Prices all over the place. Won't be returning. They make the prices up as they go along!!! Don't fall for 50% off, it doesn't exist!!!! Hinckley shop BTW...

Ordered Philly cheesesteak papadia, no steak all sauce. Took picture but nowhere to upload. We also ordered the chicken papadia, which was drowned in bbq sauce. Will not be ordering again.

Pizza and garlic bread were both stale and cold. No sausage on the pizza despite I ordered a pepperoni and sausage. Poor

I paid £25 for a small pizza double pepperoni and it turned up around 1 hour. The pizza was cold and missing cheese that I had ordered. I immediately called to just ask and I was greeted by a very rude man who put the phone down. Avoid!

Expensive and not great quality or value for money

No issue with the food being earlier than expected. I tried the new Chicken Pesto pizza which was good. The cookie dough was unfortunately burnt, definitely had better cookie dough pizza from other major pizza chains. I would order again though.

Wrong Pizzas delivered (these things happen) attempted to speak to them to resolve the matter, the English of the man I spoke to was broken and he was incoherent. he couldn’t understand the problem and repeatedly put the phone down..utter disgrace…went to dominoes after..go to dominoes instead of this dump.

Food was cold and chicken wings weren’t cooked properly!!

Ordered a vegan pepperoni pizza and ice cream. Order was over half hour late, the delivery driver rund the door bell twice and then proceeded to bang on the door (it was gone 11 at night). Then we had to ask about the ice cream as he didn't give it to us, to then have to wait another 5 minutes because he "couldn't find it". It was in a brown bag so hard to miss if I'm honest. Pizza had little to no cheese on it, it was cold and "chewy". Safe to say we'll stick to dominoes in future.

Ordered the 4 cheese potato bites but they were barely warm and couldn't taste any cheese on them they must have put some cheese in the centre as it was burnt underneath Also ordered the philly steak and the mushroom flatbread thing and both were pretty tasteless and had hardly any filling in especially the philly cheese steak one Will definitely not order from here again as it was fairly expensive for bland food

Ordered two pizzas and a drink. Driver forgot the drink, said he would go back and get it, and then didn't show up again, so I might get a refund at some point. Pizzas were lacking in toppings.

Extremely rude delivery driver. Arrived early and didn’t ring the bell to get into the apartment building but somehow was at the front door banging it down. We were having a party so I did not hear the banging straight away however I was stood next to the intercom and not once did it ring nor did the tracking say the delivery driver was outside. When I went to the front door to check if the banging was coming from there, the delivery driver proceeded to say “Yeah really funny joke isn’t it, we’ll see how funny the joke is at the end of the year”. Obviously I apologised and explained that I didn’t realised he was there and waiting however he was still extremely unpleasant leaving me quite upset.

used to order a lot,but has got very expensive-how much is bread and tomatoes? Stopped using because of this. Pizzas used to be nice, but hey ho--im not a millionaire..

Well I ordered 2 pizzas with toppings on. I got 2 pizzas with hardly and toppings on. Very poor. Will order next time from a local pizza company! Wouldn't order again!!!

In the special instructions I asked for half without cheese. My order was not amended and the pizza was delivered with cheese all over.

Normally great, after an hour I phoned to find out where my pizza was to be told it’s on its way. Half an hour later it arrived cold and looking past its best. Driver glared at me aggressively as he left. Will not be using again. Pizza ended up in the bin.

Called to chase my order as I'd placed the order over an hour before and according to their tracking app was delivered already. The customer assistant just said it was on its way and hung up on me. So rude and poor service. Pizzas arrived 10 mins later and one of them was cold.

We ordered a pizza online, no receipt was sent. They sent us completely the wrong order! Phoned up to talk to someone, and the employee in the hinckley branch was very rude and laughed at us over the phone and said there was nothing they could do, and it was ‘our problem’. Avoid!! Food was sub par too.

Food was cold when it arrived, I’m shocked at how pricey a 1.5L bottle is. This place is usually a hit and miss.

Expensive for what it is, but I find the pizzas hotter from papas compared to the other big named joint. Delivery driver was very polite and said she'll bring treats for my dog next time!

Sorry but food was disappointing and over cooked or full of grease, garlic sauce tasted of pure sickly butter no garlic taste at all , the philly cheesesteak was dripping with grease running everywhere, didn't eat, felt like warmed up in a microwave. Chocolate brownie hard and burnt. Ended up with my family binning all but chicken wings.. waste of money really.

Dough isn't nice and barley any pineapple even though I ordered extra, like 10 pineapple pieces total on a large, too expensive too

system error so my order was late and had to call to get it fixed. Guy i talked to was nice and i got a free can of pop.

It was nice but the price was crazy for what we received. £17+ for 2 of the new sandwiches that weren't very big and a box of cinnamon rolls. The staff are nice though

Ordered Tata tots with 4 cheese and BBQ chicken wings, cheese was just a small burnt black blob in the bottom of the box and Tata tots were tasteless and mushy, as for the chicken wings I've seen more meat on a budgie, they were also really fatty, cold and welded to the bottom of the box with what was supposed to be BBQ sauce it was vile, total waste of money, will definitely never order from them again

Always order from papa johns Hinckley and have had no problems absolutely love the food and great service! The last order we made we got a phone call saying they were out of stock of something we wanted and they kindly and quickly resolved our problem!

The order arrived and wasn't what we expected. We must have had a tech glitch with the website or accidentally removed an item from our order. Rang up and they quickly resolved. I've used a few times since and the food always arrives hot even though I'm about 3 miles away

Food is amazing, arrived hot and fresh and not greasy which you’d usually expect with a meat feast stuffed crust! Really happy pregnant lady this evening! The delivery driver was lovely and even had a small chat at the door without wanting to run to the next delivery which is different to many other delivery drivers who seem to drop and go! Smiley chap and an infectious laugh. Definitely ordering again! Thanks guys

Papa John's is always my 1st choice for damn good 👍 pizza 🍕. I place an order and if I wanted it ASAP, they would usually be knocking on my door within 15 minutes. They are in Attleborough, Nuneaton and I'm in Horeston Grange, Nuneaton - about 1 mile away. Their pizza is gorgeous, and always arrives piping hot.

Pizza was dry and loot warm when arrived.

I order from here every now and then. I'm not vegan but I have friends with some good allergies and the vegan pizzas are actually just as nice as the normal ones. Become my go to when I just want something and not in the mood something to greesey.

Just thought the guys working deserved a lil appreciation. Was craving a pizza tonight, and was happy to find the ‘Meatless Monday’ offer at papa johns- Bargain! The guys making the pizzas must have magic in their fingers cus it tasted bloody orgasmic. 10/10 lads, you deserve a raise. Always impressed by this place.

The worst pizza I have ever had in my life. Bottom of the base was burnt, greasy as hell, minimal toppings and bland as anything.

Saturday night treat and it had to be Pizza. Comparing Domino's and Papa John's, PJ's deals won over (let's face it Domino's is over priced) and when i've had Papa John's on holiday it's never let me down. So we ordered online for collection and by the time I'd got to the shop our order was ready (despite them being really busy). The Pizza was great, tasty, topped generously and not overly doughy; the Potato Tots were novel and we enjoyed them but the presentation let them down and the BBQ chicken wings were good too. I'd use them again but would also be tempted to try some other local places.

Fantastic service and great value for money, two great pizzas, full of flavour and garlic bread sticks with cheese and cheese jalapenos inside for the heat, A lot better than their rivals Domino's pizza. Well Done Papa Papa John's Pizza.
