Booked the Chefs table for our wedding anniversary and loved it. Food was a tasting menu and every course was fantastic. Chefs talked through each course in a cosy seating bench in the kitchen area Would highly recommend

We are big foodies and this place was amazing from start to finish, from the friendly staff to the wonderful lunch. The portions are awesome, highly recommend the focaccia, we had beef brisket with dipping gravy which was perfectly cosy for the rainy day, we also had a wonderful fresh salmon and cream cheese sandwich, The loaded fries were also SO tasty! We just about managed to squeeze in a pudding since it is in the name and was not disappointed, creamy chocolate orange cheesecake and a tasty buttery flapjack (my husband is a flapjack connoisseur and was very impressed!) we even took some cakes home. We were so impressed with this place, it really has it all, great coffee, the ambiance of the place itself, the staff, the decor, lovely twinkly lights.. even the loos were beautiful. Plus it’s dog friendly! Can’t recommend this place enough.. we are still talking about this place now hours later! will definitely return! Thankyou pug & pudding!

Had a lovely experience at into the woods for our wedding anniversary. Lovely food and atmosphere and the staff were attentive without being over baring. We enjoyed it so much we've booked again in a few weeks for a birthday treat.

August moon black bean sauce with noodles 2/5 watery sauce, salt and pepper chips 4/5 a good dish, beef curry with rice 3/5 chewy beef. Why water sauces down? Sorry but expected a bit better than this! Only bonus is it’s cheap

one of the worst b&b’s I’ve stayed in. we were in the bed & breakfast for a weekend. the breakfast was nice enough, but the rooms were absolutely filthy. towels and sheets were stained and covered in hair, crockery was dirty & the bathroom floor was covered in hair. there’s no WiFi, even though they listed it on their booking. and the staff were a little too nonchalant and very unwilling to help. on top of this, the pub neglects to mention they put on live music on a Saturday night until 12am which you can hear directly through the walls. and there’s a rooster that lives next door that woke us up at 5am on both mornings.

Not many chinese eat-in restaurants near the peak district, so this was a great find. Food was good and the waitress allowed us to try the sauce from one of the mains, before committing to having it. It could have been a little warmer in the restaurant, but it didn't hinder a lovely meal.
