My son treated me to Sunday lunch for Mother's day today. The restaurant decor is fabulous but pales into insignificance compared to the friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable staff. We were so warmly greeted and the food was exquisite - taste matching the impeccable presentation with outstanding service. It was a first visit for us but we will definitely return. Well done to everyone involved in this venture - what a gem!

Oh my the food was unbelievable, each course was an enjoyment to see and to eat. The service was excellent and our server was very knowledgeable . The only disappointment was the sitting arrangement , in a row very close to your neighbours. Could not have a private conversation.

A great find, we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Amazing food and great service, for the quality of food and service it was very reasonably priced. When we come back will be booking in for another evening of excellent food.

The owners have created a stunning restaurant in an old bank. We had a fantastic tasting menu which was coupled with great service, we loved everything about our meal :-)

This is an hidden gem in the peaks!!! Quality food ( and good size portions!!) Brilliant staff, offering excellent service. There were six of us, and all were amazed at the quality of food and service. Just proves you don’t need to go to London for high class service. Go visit!!!!

We visited Deacons Bank on Saturday the 10th of Feb, to be honest we had been putting off going for a meal for sometime, this turned out to be a mistake on my part, we should of gone sooner, much sooner. I have been lucky enough to dine out in many many good restaurants in the UK and across the world over last the 30 years. Deacons Bank is firmly in my top three favourite restaurants, firstly the staff, who are attentive, informative, knowledgeable and happy to see you, next the food, this is fine dining done really well, top quality ingredients crafted into something rather special by the chiefs, the menu is refined and well throughout, the presentation is superb, so if you are like me and thinking of going but haven't, don't put it off, book a table and enjoy the experience. it's so worth it.

We had another fabulous afternoon at Deacons, which was an early treat for Valentines - due to work commitments. Food was amazing as always, and service was exceptional. We spent 3.5 hous having Sunday lunch; it was so relaxing and we were made to feel so welcome. Other customer couldnt speak highly enough of their own experience. We had 3 courses, coffee and 2 bottles of wine - very reasonable at under £150. Tom - the owner, and Lisa - front of house ; always make such an effort to spend time with you - chatting and making you feel really welcome. This was undoubtedly a great way to finish a weekend of night shifts. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone who is looking for something that is unique and offers a truly fine dining experience with great customer service from all involved.

Great food, lovely atmosphere and setting. We went for the first time last night and will definitely go again This is an old bank building that has been converted into a restaurant by an interior designer who does both style and substance and obviously has a good team of builders. It’s a good start and it only gets better The maitre D,sorry didn’t write down your name, very professional ,friendly and helpful, she knows all the dishes and happy to help Chef’s food tastes as good as it looks ,it looks fantastic. I can recommend the rabbit, duck, pork, beef and salmon all exquisitely prepared and presented I’m told the wine list is good and the loo was clean enough to eat your dinner in( not recommended but you get the idea) Free parking very close by and plenty of it Around £50 per head plus wine - well worth it

We were at the Chef's Table. Worth every penny of the extra £10 per head. Delicious, beautifully presented dishes, designed, sourced, prepared and served to the highest of standards. Knowledgeable, friendly staff, who showed a passion for the restaurant, the food and drink, and the customers. Huge attention to detail in every respect. A high-end restaurant, but with absolutely no stuffiness or pretension. Highly recommended.

We visited for an anniversary treat. Everything was absolutely spot on! The food is presented beautifully and absolutely delicious. The front of house team are all lovely; welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu and in no way pretentious. The menu had a delightful & mouthwatering selection for all three courses, at a spot on price point for exceptional quality! We will definitely return. A real asset to the High Peak!

My family visited for Sunday lunch in January and there were 13 in our party. We each had different dishes and they were all beautifully presented and tasted exceptional. The staff were all friendly yet professional and enhanced the whole experience. This was fine dining at its best and Chapel-en-le-Frith is lucky to have such a fabulous venue.

Deacon's Bank is truly exceptional. Offering world class fine dining from a phenomenal kitchen team, Deacon's Bank manages to make it affordable, and has truly altered the way people think of fine dining in the area. Now I can rarely hear about a date or special occasion where Deacons Bank isn't considered for it's unique take on fine dining. The food is truly excellent, and unlike many other fine dining establishments, you don't come away hungry. The crab starter and chicken wellington were works of art on this particular visit, however previous visits have included venison fillet, Christmas dinners, Sea Bass, all of which have been utterly tremendous, and the food truly is a feast for the eyes as much as the body and soul. Incredible restaurant.

We ate here (see earlier review) not long after they opened. At the time the food was spot on but the service, whilst enthusiastic and attentive, was not fine dining level. They've moved on since. The young waitress knew the dishes, could describe them and was happy to say which she preferred and why. One of our party was veggie and was given multiple options, the gnochi she opted for were delicious. The meat eaters amongst us loved the venison loin and the duck both of which were beautifully cooked. Additionally they've extended the winelist to include some very decent selections. Outstanding value for money for food of such quality.

Quite a long trek from our Derby home, but well worth the journey. The log burning stove was lit, so the restaurant was cosy. Very impressed with the menu, the food quality, the presentation, the attention to detail and the lovely red wine too. The cutlery was pristine, the entire venue was spotless. The staff are excellent, just enough attention without being fussy. All in all, a lovely treat to ourselves on a dull, cold November lunch time. Definite recommend this venue. Thank you Deacon's Bank.

Having dined here a while back (very good fine dining) thought we'd try brunch. Excellent. My wife had dill cure salmon and scrambled eggs; superb quality salmon and beautifully cooked eggs. I had eggs benedict, again top notch. Clearly home made muffins and hollandaise, cooked ham (not pancetta or some other incorrect ingredient) and nicely poached eggs. I like this place and it really has the potential to be outstanding.

Booked Deacon’s Bank for lunch a while back then discovered they were changing to a brunch or afternoon tea menu. Really wanted a proper celebratory lunch so popped in to discuss. An extremely helpful young woman said she’d have a word with the chef to see what was possible then rang me back with a suggestion. So three friends and I had an amazing lunch today, Real fine dining experience, food amazing and staff all friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to visit again.

We Booked a table for 4 on a Wednesday night . There were a few others in the restaurant but it wasn’t full/ The interior design of the restaurant is amazing, it’s very on trend but the original stonework adds that touch of uniqueness and history and looks absolutely class. The staff were very friendly and seemed eager to please, and the front of house manager was very keen to ensure we were happy with our meal choices checking one or two of our menu queries with the chef. We were surprised to find the the food is fine dining as £40 for 2 courses is very reasonable, and was absolutely amazing. There is nothing like this dining experience for miles around and well worth the visit. 2 of us had the Brill which was guaranteed boneless after I asked, and was unusual but a beautiful piece of fish. One had the venison which was cooked to perfection and one the chicken, again perfect. The very unusual style vegetables accompanying each meal were so tasty and filling. We also shared a side of honey roast root vegetables which were beautiful too. The honey cheesecake desserts were stunning visually and flavour and again unusual with the accompanying side ice creams, basket weave ‘cracker’ and sweet additions. The food is absolutely 5 stars, the overall service was friendly and professional and nothing seemed too much trouble. One comment if I’m being very picky, the lighting was very bright to start with and felt a little ‘cold’ but when the staff switched the lighting down the ambience was a total change and felt lovely and with the stonework and I can imagine when the log burner is lit it’s stunning. We did sit without drinks for a few minutes after our first drink but nothing terrible. Overall we all said we will come back and strongly recommend Deacons bank now, as soon, you’ll have to book way in advance once word gets out of the quality of the food here.
