The food was excellent, and so were the staff very friendly. The off-putting bit was a dog making a hell of a racket and sat on the seat. I love the fact that you can take dogs in, but well-behaved ones and not sat on the seats customers are going to sit on.

Great atmosphere. Great menu choice and very reasonable prices. Just slow service. But that's due to staff shortages. We'll done.

What a wonderful venue, beautifully decorated. Food is amazing, with a variety for all tastes. Excellent service, attentive to detail.

A really nice meal with friends. The menu choice was very good and varied. The curried cod and Mexican Salmon were fabulous. The prices are very well placed and reasonable. Service was excellent and they couldn't do enough. Recommended.

What a beautiful place! It's an enchanted forest that has a wonderful atmosphere! The staff are welcoming and friendly, and the menu is eclectic and has something for everyone! A great place for a celebratory meal!

This place has a great atmosphere and is really well decorated. It feels cosy and secluded. Food was very tasty and also quite different from the surrounding places. Friendly staff and nice cocktails!

The food was amazing and cooked to perfection. I found the portions to be really generous and the staff offered to box any left over food to be taken home. The staff were friendly, lovely and attentive making sure we were OK for drinks and checking everything was OK with our meals. A lovely restaurant with a lovely atmosphere and great food. We were on holiday and the first night we came it was 5 star, top food, excellent service. Was that good we booked back in a couple of days later. Wasn't up to the standards set the first time, service was pretty much non existent. Food was ok but not great, I don't mind being proved wrong but in a menu that says all food is freshly prepared and to give the staff extra time, the rice seemed very microwave cooked. Shame it was inconsistent as first time was brilliant

Visited twice whilst on holiday in the area. First visit was so lovely that we booked again before we left. Shame we went a second time as it was disappointing. Unfortunately lack of consistency in food and service.

4 of use dine at into the woods last night. Had a great time, it was almost full, which on a Sunday night in September tells you how good it is. I had korean beef as did my friend, the others fish and chips, and chicken and Black pudding. Highly recommended with a great atmosphere.

We had an absolutely amazing meal there last night, food was one of the best meals we have had and the staff were all super lovely!

Following a number of visits to the new member of the "pug" family I think it's safe to say Chapel has another great choice for somewhere to eat, in great surroundings and in comfort. The old dog has seen a transformation with great thought and consideration to the decor, fixtures and fittings, clearly thanks to a keen eye! Gone is the pub and here to stay for hopefully a long time is a woods themed restaurant offering a varied menu and plenty of drink choice to accompany your meal. Booking a table Into The Woods is a must for both locals and visitors to the heart of the Peak District!

The restaurant is stunning inside, elegant and enchanting- it lives up to its name. The service was excellent, very friendly staff. The menu is varied for all tastes and the food is just superb. This is a real asset to Chapel. Well worth a visit.
