Lovely restaurant, with great atmosphere, and excellent service. The food was extremely good. The chicken liver starter was amazing, in fact all our food was tasty and well cooked. The house wine was surprisingly good. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others and will definitely be returning.

Another lovely meal here tonight. Lovely staff and great food. Specials pasta dishes and risotto all tasty and great value. Took friends who really enjoyed it too. The garlic bread with rosemary and red onion is just gorgeous.

What a fabulous evening we had here! Top class service ( and banter) and top class food... Garlic bread and bruschetta starters were delicious, as well as risottos and pizzas ordered. Prices were really good and quality food as well. We loved the atmosphere and super friendly service and would definitely make a beeline for this restaurant if ever in Chapel-en-le -Frith again. Can't recommend highly enough! Even some free liqeuers thrown in for my 60th birthday :-)

We had the best evening and the food was all delicious! I used to come here over 10 years ago and always loved the food. Now I’m back in the area this will certainly be a regular!

Not been since before lockdown and wasn’t sure what to expect. No worries it was lovely. Great service from a very nice young man and two young ladies. Hubby had smoked haddock risotto starter and said it was very good. I had mozzarella salad and it was huge so hung on to some for with my main pasta with king prawns which was gorgeous. Our other main was pasta with chicken and that too was good. Their garlic bread with rosemary and red onion is very tasty and thin and crispy. Dessert was nothing special though but overall very nice and reasonably priced.

Our first visit was a great success. The menu had plenty of choice whatever your taste. Every dish we ordered was excellent. Wine was superb. Deserts were to die for. We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we walked through the door. We had a very lovely young lady taking our order who definitely had a sense of humour....much needed when dealing with us! Everyone was great. Will definitely be going back. Can't wait until next time. Thanks so much to everyone. 💗

What an excellent first visit to this authentic Italian restaurant. This being on NYE as well! Yes a set menu of gorgeous dishes but with my partner being a pain in the a@@e when foods involved, they very kindly added on a dish from the regular menu. Food great has was the service and atmosphere, higher recommended

We had not booked so we were lucky to get a table. Garlic bread starter was full of flavour, beef fillet linguini was perfect. We finished with cholocate brownie and ice cream. Beer and wine served tated good, the staff were welcoming and helpful - bear in mind it was a busy night - but they kept checking on us and nothing was too much trouble for them. Chapel is blessed to have such a terrific restaurant.

Me and my wife love visiting Coco’s, Em and Andy always make us feel very welcome and go out of their way to make our night extra special. The food is not only really affordable but it’s also of a really high quality, would highly recommend.

Went here for my daughters 11th birthday and it was lovely. Attentive and friendly service. Well priced. Owner sang happy birthday to my daughter in English and Italian and gave her a free dessert. Cannot fault the place and will go again.

We had an excellent experience at the restaurant. The service was excellent, waiter was very attentive and warm, he even chased us out the restaurant to return our mask, which we left at the table! Food was also delicious and very good value for money all round. Would highly recommend.

We had dinner at Cocos to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was excellent. Really comfortable and authentic. Everyone was so welcoming and nothing too much trouble. We will certainly visit again.

Lovely to see Cocos open again after lockdown. We were made welcome as usual and enjoyed a fantastic meal. The king prawns starter was fresh and tasty as was the garlic tomato bread. My trusty chicken pasta dish was great as usual and my husband enjoyed his linguine with mushrooms. The house red was very good and we enjoyed the dessert of tirimasu and fagato. £48 for 3 courses eaxh with wine was very good value too. We will be back again soon.

The food was amazing. Better than in Italy. Cooked to perfection. The staff were friendly but not intrusive and just asked if everything was alright. Great service. Nice atmosphere. A lovely evening out for 12 of us. We all enjoyed it and we will definitely be going again. I highly recommend it, you wont be disappointed.

This was a very enjoyable evening out for 5 adults. There were varied starters and a good selection of pasta, pizza, meat and vegetarian dishes and 3 specials. I had mushrooms in a cream and wine sauce followed by chicken on lentils and vegetables (a special) which was delicious. The lentils had taken on the full flavour during cooking and were particularly worth mentioning. The chicken was cooked beautifully which you don't often find. Emilio was entertaining and was happy to share information with us on specific areas of the cooking.

We regularly have meals at Coco. The chef is very obliging, and will modify a dish if possible. We always enjoy our meal. Bella.

My wife booked this after reading reviews on TripAdvisor.We had a disappointing experience. Service was very slow, taking nearly an hour to serve olives and a glass of wine. When the main course arrived, wine glasses were empty but no question of asking if a refill would be required!!Food was ok but had to get cutlery from another table.Overall very disappointing and would definitely not recommend.

Excellent Italian food cooked by the proprietor, Emilio, who also comes out of his kitchen to talk with customers. He can, at times, be a little overpowering and, being Italian, fancies himself as a Lothario. However, AS LONG AS YOU DON'T TAKE HIM TOO SERIOUSLY, his involvement with his customers can add to the enjoyment of the food. I recommend a visit if in the area. I go there once per month as I live nearby.

A very warm welcome from the owner, lovely service and delicious food for a very reasonable price. We had 2 starters, 2 Pasta mains and all were very nice. We will definitely be back for more.

Food was amazing and service was great. We had ribs and garlic bread to start. Americano pizza and prawn linguine for mains and a chocolate cake to finish. Every item was delicious and our 7 yo son who does not like dining out commended that it’s the best restaurant he has visited and we can’t agree more.

This was our second visit to this great reasturant and another great experience. I opted for the steak this time which was cooked just as asked. Also a great restaurant for vegetarians.

Had a great meal at a reasonable price. The owner is a fun sort of guy who we were happy with (I can see that he could be a bit overwhelming in some circumstances). We had a range of food all of which was superb.

Went for a family meal, my starter was pretty awful, the main was terrible, pasta with seafood, over peppered not fresh pasta, the fish was rubbery clearly frozen. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone with a palate.

The restaurant was clean and welcoming. The foot was good and the service prompt and friendly. We were only visiting Derbyshire but if we ever came again we would definitely eat here.

had to ask to make my coffee stronger ,it was very weak , had the garlic bread , extremely thin and crispy but tasty . the chicken in a mushroom sauce , with veggies served separate .was hot and tasty , then chocolate fudge cake ,, bit dry ,all in all not bad everyone was happy ,the staff were very attentive , owner was a bit of a pest , coming to table saying ciao bella ,,,about 8 times during meal and trying to push us to have more wine .its a bit dark inside ,,low lights ...

We eat at this reteraunt a lot the food is just amazing, all fresh, cooked to order authentic and delicious. The chef Carlos is a genius and will add personal special touches to your meal if asked. Couldn't recommend Cocos resteraunt more highly.

We came here over the weekend and after reading all the positive reviews we were excited but we were left disappointed. My wife's pasta was over cooked and my daughters lasagna was cold in the middle. Maybe a one off bad night, maybe not?

Love Cocos. A fabulous friendly atmosphere and really can't believe the negative comment which has been submitted recently. The food is always very well presented, cooked to perfection and if you have any special requirements there is never a issue or problem. Well done guys I look forward to eating in this establishments again very very soon

This Italian is one of the worst I have been to. The service is Ok but the place is dismal and the food is very lack lustre, and over greasy. I will not be visiting ever again which is a shame as it looks like a nice small family run place but don't be fooled it is dire.

We had a table of 4 booked for 7.30 on a Saturday night of bank holiday weekend . On arrival it became apparent very quickly there was only 1 member of staff to cover all the tables. We had to wait a long time for each process to be completed from ordering drinks, table water, food etc.... that said the food was very very good. we all had different starters, shared a garlic bread which was one of the best i've ever had then 3 of us had steak & 1 had vegetarian option. No complaints at all about the food and wine , just a shame there wasn't more staff to enhance our dining experience. I will certainly be going back again.

We went here for a meal on Saturday night. We hadn't booked a table so went early, the staff were very accommodating and friendly. Greeted us like we were old friends made us feel very welcome. We went at 6pm just after they had opened so were the only ones in. Food came quickly and was delicious. (Could have been because we were the only customers at that point) They accommodated dietary requirements (I asked for the risotto without bacon in and they made it for me) my partner had the divolo (however you spell it) pizza and said it was delicious. Waiters came over to talk to us which was nice and for desert we had a tiramisu which was the best i have ever tasted! Honestly it was freshly made and mouth watering. The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is because when we arrived one of the staff was smoking inside in the entrance way. Now, it's a personal opinion and many people may not mind but I really dislike smoking and to smoke inside and in a place where food is served isn't nice. But other than that would definitely go again.

Been many times to Coco's & had several family events there. Food is delicious, always cooked fresh and very tasty. Favourite main course is fillet steak, cooked rare enough if you listen closely you can still hear it mooing! Starters its a close call between the light & crispy garlic breads that won't fill you up of the masala livers.Prices are reasonable, atmosphere is always good. Owner & chef contributor Emilio is always welcoming & friendly.

Had a splendid meal on a Saturday night the restaurant was full I don't know how the chef kept up the pace the service was very good and the chicken dish I ordered was the best I have ever tasted loads of lovely flavours. Highly recommended

My mother and I had two excellent meals. We were made to feel most welcome on both nights. I am a vegan, and this presented no problem. In fact the very attentive host made a very special effort for me. Food and atmosphere are very subjective, but I think everyone should try this restaurant.

We were staying in Buxton and found that the popular local restaurants were fully booked due to theatre events increasing the demand. Ignoring the chains and looking further afield, we found Cocos with great reviews and called them to see if they had space for a family of 5 (inc one baby). They had space but they didn't have any high chairs surprisingly. Not put off, we travelled immediately over and the staff all made us feel very welcome and assisted us with the push chair. We started with the tomato garlic bread to share which was amazing - we demolished that very quickly so had to order more! The main meals were all excellent - I had a pasta dish, and my wife had a risotto which she said was the best she had ever had. That's high praise indeed. We didn't stay for desserts as our baby was becoming restless but the staff were fantastically helpful and the whole bill was cheaper than expected. Incredible value for good quality freshly made food with a lovely atmosphere. If this restaurant was local to us in Leeds we would be here every week.

We popped in early on a Wednesday night. It was quiet and a good sign the staff had chosen to meet their for a meal (all young). We had Calamari and ribs followed by Risi e Bisi and Pasta with mussels in a creamy saffron sauce. Food was good and will definitely be going back

I visited Cocos for the first time on Valentines day with my girl friend. We were greeted politely & shown to a lovely set table in the window. All the staff we dealt with were really fiendy & politle. We also had a few chats with I belive the owner who was really welcoming.I would highly recommend the Tomatoe Garlic bread for starters. The only negative I have is the size of portioms that you get for your main meal. But all credit to the owner he did say he would happly get me some more. Last of all the price of the food & drink we found too be very resonalble.I enjoyed the evening so much i have booked again for this weekend. Overall - 9/10

literally just left this restaurant after a fantastic meal out with my Wife. King prawn and calamari to start and chilli pizza and carbonara as a main, and both were the best we have ever had at an Italian restaurant. The service was warm and friendly and the price very good. Felt bad for not leaving a tip but had no money on us. Be sure to try this place if you are in town as it is simply stunning food and a lovely place to eat. Thank you to the Chefs and staff for a wonderful meal.

The wine was a little overpriced, but the food was freshly prepared and a reasonable price. Younger staff learning the ropes.But we did receive 2 each ,small complimentry glasses of Sciiiian wine.

We visited this restaurant on a local recommendation and were glad we did. On a cold blustery winters evening, Cocos was the perfect refuge. Warm, smart, and friendly with Italian music playing in the background. A pretty standard Italian menu, the food was very good, and house wine excellent. The general ambience was very inviting. I'd definitely recommend this place.

The lovely owner opened up early for us, as we were attending a concert in Buxton. Very kind of him.It was again an excellent meal.Beautiful tastes, served by very friendly staff.The garlic bread reminds me of the famous pizza in Naples, served in the old cobbled streets.Look forward to visiting again. Went to this restaurant, as the one we were going to across the street did not server food on a Wednesday Night.However, we were not disappointed, we had some good food and the service was very good. The owner was friendly, and gave my non driving colleague a glass of grappa at the end of the meal.This restaurant has a few locals that keep coming back so I would say it is is worth a visit, we will certainly try to get back there when we next visit the area.

Went here after being not able to get into another Italian that we live in Whaley bridge. So glad we did , service was great, owner is friendly and makes you feel welcome not over the top like some previous reviews .Had the ribs and garlic bread for starter , best ribs I've had and I've had a lot in different Italians ! Garlic bread lovely thin and crispy. Shared king prawn pasta dish and a pizza for main , both very good . Also half crafes of wine offered which is ideal if you only want a couple of glasses each. Highly recommended and I will be returning on Friday evening .

We have our second home in Malcoff , so pass by often.First visit this weekend and absolutely loved it.All the staff were very friendly and welcoming.The half carafe of wine reminds me so much of Italy.The food was scrummy. Beautifully presented, hot and incredible tastes. Very impressed.My one and only criticism would be the tiny side salad.As for the owner, he is the star, made us feel so welcome. Went with a party of 12 to celebrate my birthday. Coco has a lovely atmosphere and the place was buzzing last night. We had a variety of garlic breads to start, which were delicious and they brought my granddaughter 's pizza at the same time which she tucked into with gusto. We had a variety of main courses between us, pizzas,calzone and one or two pasta dishes and everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy the food. I had the Pollo Limone which was absolutely out of this world, accompanied by a dish of beautifully cooked vegetables. Most of us were too full for desserts but the people who did manage one thoroughly enjoyed them, especially the tiramisu. The owner brought me a piece of lemon cheesecake with a sparkler in, to wish me Happy Birthday. It's a lovely restaurant! The only downside as far as we were concerned was that there were no high chairs. However, we'd ascertained that when we booked, and were told it was fine to take our own- with a 16 month old we certainly needed it.

If you can cope with the slightly deranged & occasionally overbearing Italian owner, it is worth visiting Coco if Italian food happens to take your fancy. A table of three couldn't and walked out without ordering :/The chef is very friendly and cheerful in spite of being very busy on the evening we visited... he had to help serve, and took the time to come out again as we were eating to check the food was to our satisfaction. Service by the owner was a little hit & miss, gladly we were in no hurry. It may be useful to know that the garlic bread is made with a very thin base; the same bases are used for the pizzas). We ate lasagne, garlic bread, pizzas and salad and can recommend all of these.

We booked to celebrate our friends 86th birthday, none of us had eaten here before and we all loved it. I had read the other reviews and with the description of the restaurant being small, I wasn't sure what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised, yes it's small but the decor is nice, clean and relaxing. The food was beautifully presented, all freshly made and tasted wonderful. The service was excellent and Millie our waitress was attentive, friendly and pleasant, an asset to the management, she looked after us very well. And yes the tiramisu is to die for. We had a lovely evening and will definitely be coming again, hopefully on our next visit the owner will be there, as we hear he likes to dance.

Our first vist this evening and really enjoyed the whole experience. The food is 'real Italian', the service was excellent and not in any way intrusive. Felt like the staff really wanted you to enjoy the meal and the service (Thank you Millie). Although the food was excellent and the service first class, the prices were really very reasonable. Great little Restaurant which we will visit often.

Right, Coco's is only small, but very lovely table settings. The team there are first class in delivering the nicest italian food I have eaten in a while. The drinks are very reasonable, the food is absolutely first class and the owner or front of house guy is hilarious. He kissed my dads head once when my dad was busy dusting off everybodys plates of left over food. This place may only be small, but is massive in personality and huge in italian food knowledge. Well done Coco's, we can't wait for a return visit!.

Walked in with no booking on a Saturday night but were accommodated for straight away. Food and drinks came promptly and was of great quality, particularly the seafood pizza! Shared a tiramisu for dessert which ranked among the best I've had! Service was friendly and faultless, great little Italian!

Just been for a last minute meal here. The starter of mixed antipasto was exciting and different. The pizza was crispy and delightful. The Tiramisu the best I have ever had. My daughter is vegetarian she had plenty of choice The staff were attentive. The atmosphere fun. We will definitely be back.

We went here for an early dinner on a freezing cold Wednesday night after walking all day. What a welcome! We were made to feel instantly at home and nothing was too much trouble. The waiter asked if we were ok with the Christmas music and when we said it was a bit loud he offered to change it for a much more agreeable Italian CD. Fabulous bruschetta was followed by pizza for me and pasta for my husband - all freshly cooked and delicious. The service was attentive and courteous throughout - lots of very typically Italian charm on display! Could not believe the prices, 2 courses, a salad, 2 beers and a glass of wine for £31! Superb value and would highly recommend.

Fantastic, authentic Italian food - including wonderful thin crispy pizzas, and a great specials' board. All seemed fresh and all very tasty. Lovely atmosphere and friendly, welcoming staff. Good location and nice restaurant. Great value for money and well worth a visit.

We visited cocos again tonight - the food as usual was excellent - a party of 9 with a full range of dishes all excellent especially the ribs and calzone, the fresh, beautifully dressed salad is to die for. My previous review a while ago said that cocos was quiet and lacked atmosphere not so tonight! We have visited several times in the last 18 months both as a couple and as part of a party and every time the standard has been superb ! This restaurant is excellent! - credit to Emilio and his staff, food and ambiance all 5 star thank you

After a last minute decision to celebrate my daughters graduation we rang and with 24hrs notice they were able to seat 17 of us. And they were already busy. The food was superb, the drinks kept flowing, and the service was fantastic! But if you don't want the Italian experience, the personal service, don't go here and then complain. The owner makes you feel like family, makes every occasion special. I have 2 children with special needs and family meals are stressful but all I heard all night was laughter. He even helped my daughter up the stairs with me. And yes we both danced with him!! We all would love to congratulate the chef on a busy night to be able to time and serve 17 covers altogether cooked to perfection in such a small space. Well done! Can't wait to go again.

The starters were good but the main was a disappointment. I had the calzone which was burnt. Ambience and service ok.

The service was absolutely fantastic, the staff were extremely friendly and polite and the food was literally to die for. I would recommend the Garlic bread as its one of their specialty dishes and I've never tasted Garlic bread like it. The owner couldn't do enough for us, he was so funny and really made the atmosphere.

Tasty well cooked Italian food in this small restaurant tucked away in Chapel en le Frith. Good garlic bread, tasty pasta dishes and a pretty good risotto. Nice cold Italian beer and wines. Service not perfect but think the waiter may have been new. We went to both Italian restaurants in Chapel and this was definitely the most "Italian" as opposed to "Anglo Italian" although we do know that Italians don't eat garlic bread.... Good value food.

The food was okay and not too expensive, however the man serving the food to me and my girlfriend was quite clearly very drunk. He even had the audacity to ask my girlfriend for a dance harmless as it may have been I felt it was very unprofessional and found it hard to have a nice time with him serving our food.

Are you sitting comfortably? Then I'll begin. Once upon a time the owner of Coco had a restaurant in Urmston, Manchester, which was the best Italian restaurant for miles around, not least because the tomato garlic bread was like manna from heaven. We've had tomato garlic bread in practically every Italian restaurant we've been in and none come even close to theirs. When the opportunity arose to spend a weekend in Chapel en le Frith (friend's wedding), to eat anywhere else would have been madness. Madness, I tell you. The food is just as good as we remembered from the Urmston restaurant & very reasonably priced. Three courses, wine & liqueurs for less than £50 for the two of us. We tried our hardest to convince the owner he really needs to come back to Urmston, but he wasn't biting. Which is just selfish, if you ask me.

Delicious food and service, yet again. Three courses all great. Best Italian food in the area. Would recommend to anyone.

Decided to go to Cocos after not being for a few years...garlic bread is just as I remember. ..absolutely amazing!! The owner is so friendly and makes everyone feel welcome. Cant wait to go again.

beautiful food not just pizza and pasta.fillet steak to die for veg good not boring.My only complaint is that it not in stockport we travelled to chapel for a birthday .but I would certainly would go again even if I cant have a drink and have to drive brill placethank you

A gem of a place. Exceptional service from very relaxed and professional staff. We had to wait a while between courses but we were a very large group (20+) and this is a small out of the way restaurant. The food was not your standard Italian fare (there is more to Italian food than pizza and pasta) although all the familiars were available. All the food came out looking like it had been freshly prepared, ribs were beautifully slow cooked and my risotto left me wanting more (that was just me being greedy and not the portions which were spot on in size).The chef came out to say hello too- a charming and charismatic Italian. Only one improvement could be made- fresh pasta.Will definitely go back.
