Coco Ristorante & Pizzeria in High Peak

Went for family meal, it was lovely, staff friendly and food very good. Steak cooked as I asked for and pasta gorgeous. We need to support local restaurants and bars and this one is a keeper

Lovely meal at cocos Chapel, food was tasty, fresh and authentic. Service was good and it's looking great after it's refurbishment, can't wait to come again.

We are happy that it has reopened. The food was very good and the restaurant looks refreshed and welcoming. The wine menu needs some descriptions . Staff is always hard to come by in a small town but they had no idea about wine or selections so some training would really help. Warmed plates for food are needed.

Lovely restaurant, with great atmosphere, and excellent service. The food was extremely good. The chicken liver starter was amazing, in fact all our food was tasty and well cooked. The house wine was surprisingly good. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others and will definitely be returning.

Another lovely meal here tonight. Lovely staff and great food. Specials pasta dishes and risotto all tasty and great value. Took friends who really enjoyed it too. The garlic bread with rosemary and red onion is just gorgeous.

The best Italian in all of the globe I have been to authentic Italian restaurants in Italy but this tops it the steak is mouthwatering the pasta is delicious and the seafood is so fresh! The decor is outstanding and the owner/host is brilliant will always go again 👍🏻

Well, we had a strange experience. Firstly our starters came out with the waiters hair in the food, unsure if this was from his head top or copious arm hair. Secondly, when our mains came out, two of five meals were wrong and had to wait for the chefs to cook new meals. Even after clarification twice, the meals were still wrong! Thirdly in the time it took for the replacement order came out, the owner had made one of our party very uncomfortable by invading her personal space insufferably! He then insisted SHE had a large glass of complimentary wine, and begrudgingly offered a small glass to everyone else, other than the one person who received the wrong order and was still waiting for his food! All in all, the meal was late and the owner made us uncomfortable when he wasn't, bumping into other tables, drinking wine behind the bar, or correcting our Italian. If were hungry travellers, on the brink of starvation, an inch from death, crawling on bloody stumps, WE WOULD CRAWL ONWARDS! Wouldn't recommend...

Atmosphere good In restaurant and the food was okay, but didn’t make up for there being a long hair in the starter and the over baring uncomfortable drunk owner constantly leaning over and really invading personal space. 2 of the main food orders where wrong due to the owner not writing the order down correctly and then coming to clarify but then still the order was wrong. All of these issues were attempted to be mended by supplying cheap white wine which I was told “I had probably never drunk before”. In conclusion the food was okay but didn’t mask the lacklustre and un polished experience the restaurant offers. The food should be light refreshing and tasteful but alas it was heavy lacking real depth of flavour and had uninspiring and messy presentation.

Service very poor, food didn’t work for what was ordered. It took an hour to receive the starters, complaint was made regarding chicken being in the vegetarian dish and was then threatened by the owner. Will not be visiting ever again 😡

What a fabulous evening we had here! Top class service ( and banter) and top class food... Garlic bread and bruschetta starters were delicious, as well as risottos and pizzas ordered. Prices were really good and quality food as well. We loved the atmosphere and super friendly service and would definitely make a beeline for this restaurant if ever in Chapel-en-le -Frith again. Can't recommend highly enough! Even some free liqeuers thrown in for my 60th birthday :-)

We had the best evening and the food was all delicious! I used to come here over 10 years ago and always loved the food. Now I’m back in the area this will certainly be a regular!

Not been since before lockdown and wasn’t sure what to expect. No worries it was lovely. Great service from a very nice young man and two young ladies. Hubby had smoked haddock risotto starter and said it was very good. I had mozzarella salad and it was huge so hung on to some for with my main pasta with king prawns which was gorgeous. Our other main was pasta with chicken and that too was good. Their garlic bread with rosemary and red onion is very tasty and thin and crispy. Dessert was nothing special though but overall very nice and reasonably priced.

The most fantastic food and staff, every time we visit we say the food is amazing. The waitress is brilliant with a wicked sense of humour which we really appreciate and the chef and owner are lovely people. It's a real treat to visit and I wish I could go more!

Fantastic little italian restaurant with superb host and waiting staff. The head chef is a close personal friend but bias aside the food was incredible. My partner wasn't too sure on pronounciation and was not met with sneering but with helpful correct pronounciation from the Owner, who offered nothing but the best service throughout the night. Only open Thursday - Sunday. Catch them at the right time!

Our first visit was a great success. The menu had plenty of choice whatever your taste. Every dish we ordered was excellent. Wine was superb. Deserts were to die for. We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we walked through the door. We had a very lovely young lady taking our order who definitely had a sense of humour....much needed when dealing with us! Everyone was great. Will definitely be going back. What an excellent first visit to this authentic Italian restaurant. This being on NYE as well! Yes a set menu of gorgeous dishes but with my partner being a pain in the a@@e when foods involved, they very kindly added on a dish from the regular menu. Food great has was the service and atmosphere, higher recommended

We had not booked so we were lucky to get a table. Garlic bread starter was full of flavour, beef fillet linguini was perfect. We finished with cholocate brownie and ice cream. Beer and wine served tated good, the staff were welcoming and helpful - bear in mind it was a busy night - but they kept checking on us and nothing was too much trouble for them. Chapel is blessed to have such a terrific restaurant.

Me and my wife love visiting Coco’s, Em and Andy always make us feel very welcome and go out of their way to make our night extra special. The food is not only really affordable but it’s also of a really high quality, would highly recommend.

Haven't been since before lockdown 1, and boy have I missed it, great food from clearly the best ingredients, Emilio and his team are a treasure, they are unpretentious and sincerely want you to enjoy yourself. In other news they still have menu's no QR code scanning here. Enjoy, I know I did.

Been wanting to try this restaurant for ages but only recently opened up again. Well worth the wait. Enjoyed a lovely calamari starter followed by linguini and prawns. Clearly favoured by locals as well supported. Will definitely be returning to try more of the menu which is reasonably priced. Still reduced opening so probably best to ring up and book.

Went here for my daughters 11th birthday and it was lovely. Attentive and friendly service. Well priced. Owner sang happy birthday to my daughter in English and Italian and gave her a free dessert. Cannot fault the place and will go again.

We had an excellent experience at the restaurant. The service was excellent, waiter was very attentive and warm, he even chased us out the restaurant to return our mask, which we left at the table! Food was also delicious and very good value for money all round. Would highly recommend.

We had dinner at Cocos to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was excellent. Really comfortable and authentic. Everyone was so welcoming and nothing too much trouble. We will certainly visit again.

Lovely to see Cocos open again after lockdown. We were made welcome as usual and enjoyed a fantastic meal. The king prawns starter was fresh and tasty as was the garlic tomato bread. My trusty chicken pasta dish was great as usual and my husband enjoyed his linguine with mushrooms. The house red was very good and we enjoyed the dessert of tirimasu and fagato. £48 for 3 courses eaxh with wine was very good value too. We will be back again soon.

This was a very enjoyable evening out for 5 adults. There were varied starters and a good selection of pasta, pizza, meat and vegetarian dishes and 3 specials. I had mushrooms in a cream and wine sauce followed by chicken on lentils and vegetables (a special) which was delicious. The lentils had taken on the full flavour during cooking and were particularly worth mentioning. The chicken was cooked beautifully which you don't often find. Emilio was entertaining and was happy to share information with us on specific areas of the cooking.

My wife booked this after reading reviews on TripAdvisor.We had a disappointing experience. Service was very slow, taking nearly an hour to serve olives and a glass of wine. When the main course arrived, wine glasses were empty but no question of asking if a refill would be required!!Food was ok but had to get cutlery from another table.Overall very disappointing and would definitely not recommend.

Excellent Italian food cooked by the proprietor, Emilio, who also comes out of his kitchen to talk with customers. He can, at times, be a little overpowering and, being Italian, fancies himself as a Lothario. However, AS LONG AS YOU DON'T TAKE HIM TOO SERIOUSLY, his involvement with his customers can add to the enjoyment of the food. I recommend a visit if in the area. I go there once per month as I live nearby.

A very warm welcome from the owner, lovely service and delicious food for a very reasonable price. We had 2 starters, 2 Pasta mains and all were very nice. We will definitely be back for more.

Food was amazing and service was great. We had ribs and garlic bread to start. Americano pizza and prawn linguine for mains and a chocolate cake to finish. Every item was delicious and our 7 yo son who does not like dining out commended that it’s the best restaurant he has visited and we can’t agree more.

This was our second visit to this great reasturant and another great experience. I opted for the steak this time which was cooked just as asked. Also a great restaurant for vegetarians.

Had a great meal at a reasonable price. The owner is a fun sort of guy who we were happy with (I can see that he could be a bit overwhelming in some circumstances). We had a range of food all of which was superb.

Went for a family meal, my starter was pretty awful, the main was terrible, pasta with seafood, over peppered not fresh pasta, the fish was rubbery clearly frozen. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone with a palate.

He vivido en la capilla durante 12 meses y ahora hemos comido en muchos lugares en el pico alto en los últimos 4 a 5 años y que había residido al hecho de que yo nunca te comida tan buena como una gran ciudad, como Manchester o Liverpool. had to ask to make my coffee stronger ,it was very weak , had the garlic bread , extremely thin and crispy but tasty . the chicken in a mushroom sauce , with veggies served separate .was hot and tasty , then chocolate fudge cake ,, bit dry ,all in all not bad everyone was happy ,the staff were very attentive , owner was a bit of a pest , coming to table saying ciao bella ,,,about 8 times during meal and trying to push us to have more wine .its a bit dark inside ,,low lights ...

We eat at this reteraunt a lot the food is just amazing, all fresh, cooked to order authentic and delicious. The chef Carlos is a genius and will add personal special touches to your meal if asked. Couldn't recommend Cocos resteraunt more highly.

We came here over the weekend and after reading all the positive reviews we were excited but we were left disappointed. My wife's pasta was over cooked and my daughters lasagna was cold in the middle. Maybe a one off bad night, maybe not?

Love Cocos. A fabulous friendly atmosphere and really can't believe the negative comment which has been submitted recently. The food is always very well presented, cooked to perfection and if you have any special requirements there is never a issue or problem. Well done guys I look forward to eating in this establishments again very very soon

This Italian is one of the worst I have been to. The service is Ok but the place is dismal and the food is very lack lustre, and over greasy. I will not be visiting ever again which is a shame as it looks like a nice small family run place but don't be fooled it is dire.

We had a table of 4 booked for 7.30 on a Saturday night of bank holiday weekend . On arrival it became apparent very quickly there was only 1 member of staff to cover all the tables. We had to wait a long time for each process to be completed from ordering drinks, table water, food etc.... that said the food was very very good. we all had different starters, shared a garlic bread which was one of the best i've ever had then 3 of us had steak & 1 had vegetarian option. No complaints at all about the food and wine , just a shame there wasn't more staff to enhance our dining experience. I will certainly be going back again.

We went here for a meal on Saturday night. We hadn't booked a table so went early, the staff were very accommodating and friendly. Greeted us like we were old friends made us feel very welcome. We went at 6pm just after they had opened so were the only ones in. Food came quickly and was delicious. (Could have been because we were the only customers at that point) They accommodated dietary requirements (I asked for the risotto without bacon in and they made it for me) my partner had the divolo (however you spell it) pizza and said it was delicious. Waiters came over to talk to us which was nice and for desert we had a tiramisu which was the best i have ever tasted! Honestly it was freshly made and mouth watering. The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is because when we arrived one of the staff was smoking inside in the entrance way. Now, it's a personal opinion and many people may not mind but I really dislike smoking and to smoke inside and in a place where food is served isn't nice. But other than that would definitely go again.

Been many times to Coco's & had several family events there. Food is delicious, always cooked fresh and very tasty. Favourite main course is fillet steak, cooked rare enough if you listen closely you can still hear it mooing! Starters its a close call between the light & crispy garlic breads that won't fill you up of the masala livers.Prices are reasonable, atmosphere is always good. Owner & chef contributor Emilio is always welcoming & friendly.

Had a splendid meal on a Saturday night the restaurant was full I don't know how the chef kept up the pace the service was very good and the chicken dish I ordered was the best I have ever tasted loads of lovely flavours. Highly recommended
