Into The Woods in High Peak

Had a lovely experience at into the woods for our wedding anniversary. Lovely food and atmosphere and the staff were attentive without being over baring. We enjoyed it so much we've booked again in a few weeks for a birthday treat.

The ambience-superb! The staff - superb! Quality of food- yes! superb. A very enjoyable night out. My only suggestion would be to have more non spicy options! My pathetic stomach can’t cope with spice, and a lot of the very nice sounding options were spicy.

First visit for me. Excellent service and delicious food. Meat eaters and vegans catered for and we all left very happy.

A menu that left me wanting to come a second time before I'd started. We had a three course meal and I took a few bites of my wife's three too - so I tried six courses and it would be difficult to fault any of them. Nice relaxed atmosphere inside and the service was very good too. It was a shame they were fully booked the following night.

Just been to - Into The Woods - this evening. Very pleasant staff but obviously inexperienced. I ordered the Mixed Grill; it was so dry I had to send it back. Really very poor and very disappointed.

Enjoyed a lovely evening here with my husband. Modern, sophisticated menu and very comfortable atmosphere. Staff was very welcoming and attentive- regularly checking back to see if we were enjoying our meal and if there was any more they could do for us - although not intrusive. Our food was stunning! As was the wine. Good value, too. Would definitely recommend to family and friends and we shall return soon.

Tonight was a very special night for me and my husband as we met here 6 years ago when it used to be a bar. We have been so excited to try Into the Woods since it reopened as a restuarnt but after many attempts to book it had always been full. We managed to get a space tonight for the Burger night and the food was amazing! We can wait to come back again.

We visited here for the first time for a Valentine’s Day meal, having recently moved to Chapel. The welcome was lovely - warm and friendly - and the three staff who served us were great. Tables were set with a red rose and packets of love-hearts which we were encouraged to take at the end of the meal - a cute romantic touch. We started with a cocktail each and enjoyed a bottle of Malbec with the meal. The restaurant offered a special set menu with four choices of starter, main and dessert. We both chose prawns and chorizo as a starter which was perfectly cooked: plump, moist prawns and a nice touch of mellow chilli to enhance the depth of chorizo. We both had steak for our main course. Veg perfectly al dente, triple cooked chips crispy on the outside with fluffy interior, crunchy deep fried onion nest which wasn’t at all oily. The only slight disappointment was that we’d both ordered rare steaks; mine was medium and my husband’s was medium rare. The steak itself, however, was extremely tender and a pleasure to eat, so we didn’t mention the overcooking to staff as it hadn’t by any means detracted from the meal. The reason I’m still giving 5 stars is that overall the meal was excellent, and the staff were exemplary. We’ll definitely return.

The menu was very dated but I was hopeful it was in. god way Alas no All bought in from a catering company - I had the mixed fish Snd chips : terrible- absolutely awful Tasted like fried bread with a fish aftertaste I can't believe that restaurants still buy this frozen foods in 2023 The wine list was very very limited Just dreadful I've seen a better menu 35 years ago

Absolutely fantastic. An amazing restaurant with beautiful decor, fantastic service, delicious food and everywhere is spotlessly clean. Highly recommend!

My boyfriend and I tried into the woods tonight for a bit of an early valentines as we was both off work the setting is absolutely stunning and the staff are very efficient friendly and knowledgeable the food is really nice but did feel it was nothing amazing everyone had raved about the place saying how beautiful the food was and don’t get me wrong it is really nice but I wouldn’t say the best I’d ever had would definitely go again tho really enjoyed it

Has a wonderful sharing platter on Sunday...the venue is absolutely beautiful Great food, great staff...will definitely go again

The interior is lovely which creates a very relaxing atmosphere in the restaurant. The staff were excellent and the food was fantastic. Highly recommended.

We looked at the menu online and were really excited to visit this new restaurant. We liked that there were some unusual options and were spoilt for choice! The Korean Beef was wonderful, and after starters and mains we didn't plan a dessert but after hearing what was available we couldn't resist sharing the cheesecake of the day which was also lovely. The staff were really friendly and attentive. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful as well, especially on a dark winters evening. We hope to come back one day!

Great find on our little break. Lovely Resturant. Attentive staff, amazing food. I forgot my glasses and was struggling to read the menu, they had a collection of glasses in different strengths. Such a thoughtful touch. We had the chicken and chorizo and the mixed grill and both were gorgeous. A little tip. Leave room for dessert, the cheesecake is the best Ive ever had.
