Rems Cafe Bar and Restaurant in High Peak

Just dropped in for a quick beer and lunch. As always, never disappointed with the food or service. Can’t fault. Would happily recommend!

Found this place very expensive and poor. The toilets was dirty and it looks like the cleaner forgets parts of the restaurant to clean. No shiny happy people here either.

We had a very warm welcome from lovely staff at Rems who couldn’t have been more helpful, even arranging a taxi home for us! Wonderful food, served on hot plates (essential in my opinion) with great service in all aspects. Highly recommended.

We had our baby gender reveal upstairs with family and friends. The day was incredible and one to remember, the way we wanted it be, thanks to all the team at REMs that made our day and nothing was too much trouble. Ps “it’s a girl”

Delicious food, fantastic service, great decor! We had the set menu for 10 of us and we had so much food! It was delicious, everyone had a different favourite dish. The service was outstanding, nothing was too much and was happy to talk the history geeks in the group through all the old photos!

Wonderful meal and welcoming staff! We ate as a group of 10 including 3 children, and everyone was well catered for. We ordered an array of tapas and every single dish was delicious, especially the prawn dishes, we've never seen king prawns that size! Would thoroughly recommend a visit, you won't be disappointed!

Excellent tapas. Portions fantastic and quality second to non. Been to so called authentic Spanish tapas restaurants and not anywhere as good as rems. Gareth the owners really helpful with the menu and the staff are really friendly. Wood definitely recommend you try this restaurant you won’t be disappointed

My son and I went in for a few drinks over our weekend stay. Landlord tries hard to make you feel welcome, and has created a nice atmosphere; everyone is friendly. A great spread of age groups, and the general feel is happy. We'd like to thank Gareth for helping us to enjoy our experience in Chapel. He even made us feel better after being treated not so well in another pub. We'd both definitely recommend it. They even have their own very nice lager 🍺 David & Louis

A dog friendly gem with fantastic food. We were staying within walking distance and fancied something different from the usual pub grub. Rems was brilliant. Friendly owner and staff ( and customers) Fabulous variety of dishes and very reasonable prices with great sized portions plus the dog was made to feel very welcome. We enjoyed it so much we went for 2 nights in a row. Thank you for the friendly welcome.

Was staying in chapel in April and after visiting a local inn asked if there was anywhere to have a good meal, the landlord suggested we visit rem’s a tapas bar and restaurant so went there that night. The staff were very helpful as not knowing what was to choose advised us what was popular,we ordered three dishes each and was pleasantly surprised with the quality and price food was excellent, visited a couple of times after but if a group is on get there early as it’s very popular well worth a visit a must

We got an immediate friendly welcome. The service was good and the food was good. For our taste the roast veg could have done with a bit more roasting and we would have liked more spice in the patatas bravas.

We live locally and visit Rems regularly for drinks and tapas. We've never had a bad meal and been over 50 times at least. Super quick service, sizable portions, and very reasonably priced. Love it here. If there is better tapas anywhere within 50 square miles, I've not heard of it. You won't be disappointed. Andy an Jo Neill.

This is a great place to go for drinks and food. Four of us had a variety of tapas dishes all of which were excellent and filling. The service was also good. To make this a better experience, the quality of the white wines could be improved! Also dog friendly 🐕

Great friendly place, book for table of 18. Food served quickly, was piping hot and tasty. Had a vegan and vegetarian so they made a couple extra dishes of Wellington and stew, as the set menu was 50% meat. All the food I tried was lovely and the staff very helpful. Would recommend.

Food was ok. Unfortunately the landlord / manager was repeatedly rude to a member of our party, commenting on their size, calling them “big guy” and comments like, “You’ll finish all that off won’t you” “I’ll leave the food there for you” Quite insensitive in this day and age, we will never eat there again.

Feeling very festive now after having a wonderful Christmas lunch with friends.

We visited Rems for a charity event on the 5th of November, and it was amazing! Great atmosphere, with comedian Mick Miller and an auction raising money for Little Cherubs Charity. Definitely will be returning, bar staff and owner were fantastic.

Excellent service, excellent food!! Very accommodating allowing us to move tables for my mother-in-law with mobility issues! The owner was a great host made my wife’s birthday the best in a long time! We will definitely be returning for another visit.

One of the best pints of Guinness in Chapel

Legendary place. It became my second home when I had to spend a lot of time near Chapel, and they couldn't be any more welcoming. Plenty of events in the evening, great people to talk to (even though I tend to sit quietly and read), it's my go to place in Chapel now.

I was visiting my son who had recently moved to Chapel en le Frith and the food was a winner for me having tapas on the menu. We were blown over with the food( I'm the fussiest eater known to man), the taste, the hospitality and the atmosphere, not to mention it was quiz night too so we decided to stay. We lost miserably but it so much fun, the host was hilarious and had us all giggling. I for sure will be going back next time I visit.

Rems is a great place for Tapas, there is a good selection to choose from and the dishes are of a good size. The food is extremely tasty and the service was also very good. Would I go again, absolutely 👍

Had one of the nicest Tapas meals we have ever tasted. The staff were excellent and it is also a nice place for a social drink with a lovely outside seating area which I great in this hot weather.

We were part of a funeral wake and and the staff were quick to serve everyone, pleasant and the food was lovely and plentiful. I would recommend.

The food was really lovely. We had tapas and it was all cooked to perfection. The calamari was not chewy how you find in some places. To top it off the owners were very lovely. In short we will be back!

Rems is our favourite bar and restaurant in Chapel-en-le-Frith. The atmosphere is friendly and the tapas the best we've enjoyed here or in Spain. We've liked everything we've ever tried but especially the whitebait, the Chicken Marbella and the morcilla baked with manchego.

Friendly, welcoming and staff fantastic, unfortunately on my last visit I was poorly, passed out , but the bar staff and owner were amazing, they helped me to come round , they were well trained and made me feel safe, a big thank you to all. I have since visited the doctor and waiting for tests, can't thank the staff enough, hope you enjoy your thank you chocolates 😊

This bar was the only place open Tuesday lunchtime serving alcohol. Warm welcome in from the rain. Food during the day is from the pug and pudding which we thought was fab idea. Food, drink and staff all lovely.

Tapas done right. The tables are large and well spaced, plenty of room for the tapas and sharing. The food is simply amazing. The prices are incredibly reasonable. The staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Absolutely will go again.

Couldn't have been happier with either of the meals that we have had here.
