Went here for the bottomless brunch for our future son in-laws birthday. We were a little worried at first as it was busy and only seemed like one person was serving, it can often not be worth the money. However thankfully I was wrong. the young lady who served us was very timely and attentive. We have plenty to drink and the food was lovely. Lovely little place and service is outstanding 100% recommend it to anyone visiting Daventry. We will be back .

We visited this pub for Mother’s Day, aware that it had recently changed management, so we weren’t quite sure what to expect. The staff were all very polite and welcoming. Our group of eight had pre-ordered our meals a couple of days in advance, which wasn’t a big inconvenience. Everyone enjoyed the meats (lamb, beef, and pork), but the rest of the meal fell short. The vegetables were cold, and the roast potatoes were dry possibly reheated and honestly quite awful, which was a letdown since they’re usually my favorite part! The Yorkshire pudding was just okay, not terrible, but a bit chewy. There was a mix-up with our bill, where someone else’s charges were added to our tab, but the bar staff resolved it without issue, so credit to them for that. My wife ordered a large wine and was shocked to find it priced at £10! That felt a bit pricey, especially after a lackluster meal. Overall, we had a decent Mother’s Day, so thank you for that. Still, in my view, the food could use some improvement.

Had the worst Sunday roast here today , the Yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes were badly burnt and left them on plate as inedable.I can't believe they had the nerve to serve it like that clearly they could see what they were putting on our plates. However we have eaten here many times before and food was good , but will never order Sunday roast again.

Just wanted to say a big thank you, for a great service and dining experience I booked up, for the our family, to get together before Christmas and have dinner. I found it very easy to book and communication your end was good From the initial booking to the end of the night, we were very pleased with the service, quality of food and value for money, I think you got it just right! We had a lovely meal, served all together and meal choices all correct, with just the right spacing between courses We were happy with the wine and a really good choice of ales and lagers were available After the meal we retired to the bar and had a great evening, chatting and playing games Some of us stayed over and found the accommodation very clean, comfortable and again, good value for money Well Done and thanks for a great evening Mick and Tracey Green

We came here for Sunday lunch and it was superb! The welcome, the service, the ambience was all perfect. Having been midweek for lunch, we decided to come back for lunch. Good menu, food beautifully cooked, plates were warm, and service was great. On top of that great beer and lovely chilled Sauvignon Blanc. Definitely our go to place now.

Great service, welcoming and polite. Nothing too much trouble. Very attentive. Food was delicious, best steak I’ve ever tasted, portion sizes are really good definitely value for money. Cosy and intimate environment. Highly recommend the steak, chicken skewer and the house pudding!

First visit to the Spencer Arms to go for food with family. Nice greeting from the manager Holly, then taken to a sociable round table, Kath the waitress introduced herself and Ioiu (new member of staff) and advised that he was in training. Drinks order taken, then after a few minutes Holly came back to take our food order. A couple of the group had starters and we all ordered mains. All plates were empty and promptly cleared away. Had some more drinks and weren’t rushed in the slightest to leave. Overall no complaints and a lovely time had by all.

We had a brilliant experience at Middlemore Farm. I'd booked a table in the bar but Paul happily moved us into the dining room. We had great table service. The food was lovely. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially when I couldn't get my discount code to work. The space is tastefully decorated and the building itself comes with an interesting history. We'll definitely return.

I rang ahead and booked a table to two. When we arrived, we entered the restaurant, and found a member of staff who seated us in the empty restaurant, asking if we wanted the lights turned on!. We were very disappointed with the very limited menu, choice of main course limited to 6 burger options, and 4 other options, 2 of which were pasta based. We gave our order, when our drinks arrived, and after waiting a further 55 minutes, we left the money for our drinks on the table, and left. In the whole time we waited in the empty restaurant, we were not once approached by a member of staff to ask if everything was fine, or to be informed of the progress of our meals (which should have taken no more than 15 minutes to prepare). Appalling service. We will not go there again and to be honest, we are surprised they are still in business.

We were few diners on a Sunday when we stopped for a light snack. There were a few locals at the bar, but otherwise the pub was rather soulless and the bar staff not very well informed regarding the menu. Our snack lunch was freshly prepared, we did`nt see any cooked meals so can`t comment.
