The best restaurants in Chesterfield East Midlands

I live less than a mile away at Grangewood, Food looked it last nasty leftovers, Fries were stone cold. This McDonalds either needs new staff or training how to prepare fresh food. Will not be using again.

First time I've ordered from here but I'll order again, the food was excellent

Went to Tesco cafe Saturday , was served by Andy he was very advisable about the food and drinks , he was so polite and a great sense of humour it was a pleasure to be served by him , he was right about recommending me the fish finger wrap with waffle fries followed by a lemon muffin I wasn't waiting long for the food to arrive at my tablet , good job by the team

Had a lovely lasagne, hot and really nice. Not microwaved and rubbery like some chain pubs can be. Service was good and the waiting staff pleasant and friendly. Really good value for money.

Pizza uno is my favourite pizza place there the kebabs and pizza is amazing you can tell there fresh

DO NOT GO! I ended up being sick about 2 hours after eating, due to how ill the food made me feel. The crispy beef is recommended but definitely not the rice. It was so overrun with oil it left a pool on my plate. Delivery was fast however, and the food was lukewarm. Do not recommend.

Just read about you in the derbyshire times, what's happening lads.? Come on, get a grip, Nissar used to make the best biriani for miles when he had it, never had one like it since from anywhere, it was very different to all the other places and absolutely beautiful. Start doing gluten free and I'll give it a try. Always ordered when you was in town. It's good to see local lads doing OK but get Nissar to give you his version of a biriani, haven't seen one like it since.

Fantastic venue for a retirement party. The service from start to finish was excellent. Bar staff were very efficient and there was no queuing even though there were 150 people at the party. Cannot fault the place.

Bought 6 beef burgers of which the 2 i have had as chunks of bone in. The 1 piece of sirloin steak I had cost £8 and cooked medium rare left to rest for 10 minutes was like eating leather . Pork Pie that was recommended by many people was very disappointing when I cut into it the jelly just all ran out ,very disappointing

Never before have I ever been asked to move from where I was standing with no explanation because they wanted to move a table from elsewhere to sit what they thought were more important customers, no reason no apology , surprisingly we drank up and left and will not return , extremely poor customer service in an industry that struggling

I'm not in the habit of leaving bad reviews, however... I've often wondered why this KFC is always empty, and now I think I know why. It feels like the staff are there under duress, and I honestly felt uncomfortable with how sullen everyone was - everyone! I know it's impossible to be full-on smiley all the time when you're working in eateries as it's hard work, but my goodness, I felt like I was disturbing them with my order. Our order was just shoved in the bag, which was squished to close it, which was a bit weird and we were waiting for ages for a drink that we'd ordered and milk for my drink. We re-entered the restaurant to use the loo after putting the food in the car and I'm so glad we did as the *smell* in the ladies was mind-blowing. Please excuse this description but it smelt like unemptied sanitary bins with ammonia. Luckily I only needed to wash my hands so I could keep the door propped open as my eyes were stinging. I did feel like I was dirtier after coming out, though. I don't know what is happening with regards to staff morale here as the environment it creates is extremely noticeable. The food was only ok as the chicken smelled of reused/stale cooking oil but the chips were actually quite nice.

Bring your winter woolies it’s December and aircon is belting out freezing cold air at gale force 10. Mr Spoons electric meter must be wizzing round faster than the XMas decorations are. Just going to find a warmer pub
