Best dream cake I have had much better than others out there

We took a table for two for the seafood menu, which was £20 a head. The service was good throughout, despite the restaurant being full, so credit to the staff for that. The salmon blinis, the crab rolls they were ok, and the calamari that was fantastic, the highlight of the night. The mains of mussels was really disappointing though. The mussels themselves were the smallest I've ever eaten, many in my dish being about 1cm to 1.5cm in length. The sauce they ere cooked in was acceptable, taste is a personal thing, so for me it was a little heavy, less cream and more white wine needed, perhaps. But that's personal as I said. A bit sad that the evening was let down by the mussels, but I have to concede that many other guests were enjoying their meal. I'd have given 3.5 if I could have.

We visit at least once a year with grandson on short holiday break and it never fails to please. Even our grandson says its one of the best he's been too for dinner. In the main its a good olde English pub with excellent staff/owners, serving food thats home cooked, with a variety of meal options and supported in our case, by excellent beer thats 'well poured' and very good white wine too. Puddings were excellent yet again. All at 'reasonable prices' when comparing the quality against similar pubs and restaurants. Will we come again next year? Absolutely... Thanks once again, for an excellent meal.

Absolutely shocking breakfast. Visited Nottingham for two nights and before leaving to come home wanted a good breakfast. Found this place that looked ok . Ordered flat white and a cappachino. Both came out so hot they were not drinkable (poor training) milk is not supposed to be that hot for these drinks. The worst though were the breakfast. I had Eggs Royal at £14.50 The muffins were not even toasted so were soggy and unbelievably they used cooked salmon, NOT smoked salmon. In all my years I’ve never had that before. It was awful. Hollandaise sauce was ok. My wife had a vegetarian breakfast. Was ok apart from they thought it would be ok to serve a type of spicy indian style spinach burger or whatever they called it. It was also vile and very spicy, not at all suitable for a breakfast. Service was fine, however on mentioning to young girls that the eggs royal was not good and why, I was still charged £14.50. This place is def style over substance and on leaving noticed Copper (cafe) across the road which I’ve eaten in before and is great and only £10.50 for eggs royal. Just wish I’d seen it earlier. 100% wouldn’t return especially as the bill for an orange juice, 2 coffees and 2 breakfast was £43!! Def go across the road to Copper if looking for a decent well priced and tasty breakfast. Response to Josephine’s Response… I would just like to add that I didn’t at any point ask for a discount, I just explained the situation about the salmon, and secondly, you can even see in the pictures that it’s salmon! Not smoked salmon… it’s the wrong colour for smoked salmon and totally pink… so saying it’s not salmon is completely wrong. You’re right about the personal preference thing, I can understand that, but curried spinach and falafel burgers don’t belong on a breakfast IMHO. Orbis was a fantastic dining experience. Highly recommend the mini tacos, the bang bang cauliflower, the cornflakes chicken- all of it actually. Amazing and creative food, all gluten free. It’s got a pretty dining space with rooftop that would be really great in summer, right in the center of the charming town of Stamford.

Good pub ales kept in good order. Should be it's a brewery have well 👍

I had my 40th birthday party at The Jam Garden and Tania and the team pulled out all the stops! Everyone was so friendly, the drinks selection was great and the pizzas catered for all dietary requirements. We were checked on a few times to make sure everything was going well and the area outside sectioned off for about 50 of us was perfect! Would definitely recommend this spot for parties of any size and nothing was too much trouble. Thanks so much!

I love Caravelli’s. It’s such a fabulous Italian, with proper Italian food not like in many places They even did me a Dolce that wasn’t on the menu an Affagato..my fave

The steaks were very thin and way ovwr cooked, 3 attempts to put this right and still over cooked, one guest left with out eating.
